This place never disappoints and is one of my favorite go to places in Perth for a really good Thai dishes at affordable prices. Featured is the Tom Kha Gai Soup, Thai Mee Goreng and the Thai Chicken wings. A great well priced venue in North Perth
Great food at decent prices and run by a lovely couple. The mee goreng is my go-to for a quick lunch and the curries are good also. Try the curry puffs too!

Brilliant food, very friendly people. Best kept secret in Perth!!. The food at Yods is first class. This is a very friendly, small family run restaurant with service to match. Expect to pay at least double for similar authentic food elsewhere. I spent a couple of weeks in Phuket over New Year this year and was so disappointed with the cuisine on offer. The place (Patong Beach) was so busy, it was like nobody in the restaurants cared or bothered. Found a few out of the way gems, but honestly, should have stayed in Perth and spent my money at Yods!! Amazingly, the owners are Thai, which is becoming increasingly rare in Perth.

Best Thai in Perth. Definitely the most authentic and reasonably priced Thai in Perth. Always delectable and served with a smile. Average time takes is about 15-20min for the food but it's worth the wait. Come here all the time!
I've been there so many time.. The food are always fantastic and the Pad Thai is wonderful, it's really Thai test .. Love it anyway..!! :)
I love eating here. The food is great. Every dish I've tried I love. It's light a fresh. My problem is trying new dishes because what I've tried before I've loved so want it again! Service is always friendly and pretty quick. Perfect for a quick lunch stop for something tasty and good value.

This little place is great! The food is delicious and great value, and the service is friendly. In my opinion that greatly overweighs the simple decor. I'll definitely be going back. If this was a bit closer to my place I'd be eating here all the time.
Brilliant. Went there for a dinner a week ago. Food is fantastic and full of flavour. Service is full of smiles. The decor is decent too. One of my new favourites.

Value & tasty. After passing Yod's a thousand times over the last few years i decided to pop in this evening. The menu is a nice small selection of thai dishes, but when i looked at the price of each dish i thought there must be a catch. They must be tiny or come with rice already. No, nope, negative, the most coomon prices are for a dish are $9.90 for beef, pork or chicken as the ingredient or $12.90 if you want prawns. I grabbed a chicken pad thai, a spicy ka pao with pork and a chicken satay entree just to check it all out, The food was tasty, fresh and full of the flavour which makes Thai food all that it is.
I grabbed take away but seems like a nice little cafe to eat in to for a more relaxed environment. Will be back.....regularly.
Magnificent authentic & well priced
A great go to. I love Yods. It's easy, close and super cheap. SOme dishes are definitely better than others (Pepper squid isnt really pepper squid, curry laksa is amazing). For under $10 for a good size meal in Perth though? It's amazing.

Terrific little place. A beautiful family with beautiful food. Large portions with a multitude of veg and quality meat. The chilly beef stir fly is a personnel favorite. These guys should really consider opening a restaurant in the city (but keeps Yods open) Love it, love it, love it.....
Had a red curry here & asked the chef why they put potato in it as that's not very Thai. He just said basically its what people are used to but in Thailand they put things like broccoli . So when you ask for a curry, ask for 'no potato'. Curry paste is very fresh tasting.

Great tasting family-run restaurant. Wow, the prices here are incredible value for money... The massaman beef & veggie curry was $9.90, as was the larb chicken mince salad. They also make a great coffee here (using 5 senses beans).
Low budget great taste. Great little cafe for a cheap under $10 lunch. Had the Thai Beef Salad, it had a perfect mix of meat and salad. Nice hints of mint wand the chilli heat built up a little but wasn't overpowering. I think i'd rate this above thair Pad thai
Cheap and cheerful. We've had takeaway from here a few times now and never been disappointed. The food is delicious! Very cheap, and relatively quick (15-20 mins for a 3 main order, which is how long it takes me to choose a carton of beer from over the road at Dan Murphy's anyway). Staff are friendly too. I probably wouldn't recommend dining in, since it's a bit bare. There's a nice park not far away that you can take food to during summer for a quick picnic.
One thing, YOU HAVE TO TRY THE CURRY PUFFS! The pastry is just amazing, and the filling delicious and fragrant.

Nice dinner :). I went here with my family for dinner and the noodle soup and the phad kapao were very nice!! My sisters don't like the phad thai though, and you can buy vegetarian by switching the meat for tofu :)
We got take away from here tonight, wanting something warming and tasty and simple. Yod Thai is perhaps my favorite Asian food discovery for the year. The dishes are indeed simple, traditional and completely delicious. We ordered a little less spice, following the advice of previous commenters, and this proved to be completely valid. Even balance of flavours, good servings and amazing prices.

Cheap and cheerful. Not much here that you could complain about...under $10 for a quick, freshly cooked, tasty meal (add a couple of dollars for steamed rice). Despite the spartan surrounds it felt....sort of nice. I liked it (especially the junior Jackson Pollock artwork!!). Good for a quick lunch or a takeaway.

Affordable and delicious Thai food. You could not make the same dish for less. This is my favourite place for a quick Thai meal. It's run by a sweet Thai couple too! Highly recommended!

Best Thai Cafe Restaurant In Perth. I know it is a big call to say it is the best but honestly i have been blown by the quality of the food and the sense of freshness from their home grown herbs that they use it is absolutely fantastic know it is not the best service but the prices are so fair that it is hard to find something to complaint about. i eat there maybe 3 time per week now ( i am a chef and very lazy home cook) it is almost more economical than going shopping at the supermarket to cook for myself.
i have also organised my birthday party in their venue with lots of finger food and people were very happy and the party was a blast.
I strongly recommend this little family venue for anyone looking for quality and simplicity and wallet friendly restaurant and cafe
Amazzzing!. I tried out Yod Thai Cafe for the first time tonight and it was beautiful! I had the thai green chicken curry and it was full of flavour and the most authentic taste i've had in Perth and trust me I've tried them all! The main meals are only $10 and it's owned by a very sweet thailand family!

My favourite Thai restaurant in Perth! I think they easily have the best variety of dishes and incredibly authentic flavours to match. Really can’t go too wrong by ordering anything off the menu. Food is always quick to come out as well, they have a good drink selection too. Highly recommend this place!
Food was delicious!!! Especially Pad Thai! Very yum. But the service need to be improved otherwise everything is perfect.
Cannot dispute the authenticity. Extensive menu. Liked the warm beef salad and the rice. Don't forget the inexpensive sides ( noodles even). The lemonade is too sweet as was the Massaman curry. Tom yum going has a little coconut milk on it, which to me is unwelcome, as it takes away from the tanginess. The cashew nut chicken is very good. Cafe style where you order at the counter. Hence, service at the table is limited for water etc or even crockery/ cutlery. Nice layout. Friendly Thai owners. The iced tea is very sweet like I'd guess in Thailand. Recommended.
