Good family restaurant. Everything was tasty. We enjoyed our meals 👍👍👍 will definitely be back to try more items. Halfway through the meal, we realized an item was missing from our order. That was resolved very quickly 😁👍
It’s cheap ,small , casual dining restaurant. Noodles were better than I expected . It can improve however it’s worth for what you paid for. Fried chicken wing must try.
Very authentic Asian food, always filled with Asians. Great for cheap, fast food. Poor ambiance though and a little noisy inside at times. Service is adequate. Would always go back, good memories and great dishes.
Quick and easy place for a simple meal. One of our favourites is the Curry Fish. Love how you get a choice between fresh fish and fried fish fillet. Char Kueh Tiaw is not bad, but have had better.
Food is generally tasty and reasonably priced. Menu is fairly extensive and food portions are generous. A typical go-to place for a casual Malaysian meal.
Tried the Kampua noodle and fried kway teow from the vegetarian menu. The kampua noodle was cooked just right and along with the sauce and mock cha siew pork it was very tasty! The noodles are handmade apparently and they do taste fresh! The fried kway teow was delicious too, not overly oily or salty, and had the charred flavour. This place is suitable for vegetarians who want to have some Malaysian food!
Mei goreng was the best we have ever tasted, so much delicious flavour and sauce. The laksa was different but also delicious, much more fragrant than laksas I have had before. Definitely ordering again.
Very good food. I liked the special Kampua noodle either with egg or prawn. The size of the meal is really large. And the price is fairly cheap, compared to the food that have similar quality in Perth. Easy parking. Self-service for water and cutlery. Will come back and try most dishes in their menu.
Understated restaurant but quality of food is top notch. I loved their hand-pulled noodles. Can taste the freshness. Authentic Asian cuisine without being unnecessarily fancy.
Really tasty food and it's cheap! Love the Kampua and Kueh Teow in particular. Portions don't look very big, but they are very filling so if you are not a big eater remember to order the smaller size. My husband is not a fan of prawns or fish, so he sticks with the likes of fried chicken (very flavourful!), chicken rendang and sweet and sour pork.
I love this place. It's always busy and they do quick, delicious food. Average meal is $12 and it's super yum. Don't let the look of this place fool you.
Ho..ho.Friend of mine told me about this place.we had kampua noodle special and soup. It's oily but it's delicious. The pork fat that make it tasty. Love their home made noodle. Once a while we can be a bit cheeky with our food☺️☺️
If you like to eat noodle, you should try this place. Big portion, good value and Definitely recommend this place
Will come back again and try different food
A really interesting malay place, with many dishes that i have not noticed elsewhere.Sarawak laksa was damn tasty, house made noidles were great
Anyway nice food large portions, dont be put off by the rough looking front of house
The quality is consistent between this branch and the other in Thornlie. Best Malaysian authentic food in Perth, for Kanpua noodles, mee goreng, Sarawak laksa (a bit more of a herb taste than your typical curry laksa). We tried the wheatgrass tea and it has the weirdest green colour but tastes good nonetheless. The curry fish is in a thick creamy curry sauce, quite good too.
Always coming back to kitchen inn.
I was in Singapore a year ago and I read the Guardian's list of things you should eat in Singapore and went around eating all of them. It was tres radical (that's Greek for filling).
One thing I really enjoyed was Bak kut teh, soft unctuous pork ribs in a subtle broth. I ate it twice and it gave me the confidence and pep to hit the Singapore dating scene (very successfully I might add - El winky winky).
I have since learnt that there are many different versions of Bak kut teh. And they're all excellento (again Greek*). The version served at Kitchen Inn is much darker and fragrant than the one I first made love to. But most delicious lah.
Kitchen inn itself isn't much of a place to bring a date, unless of course you've got to the stage where you're comfortable with each other (no need to shower etc.) but the food is cheap and pretty delicious, menu is mostly all Malaysian hits with only a few misses. I wish I could give it a 3.78.
*my neighbour George K is Greek and he says all these things. It's not a stretch to assume they are Greek.
This is a frequent spot for my friends. Food prices are quite reasonable and they serve your food quite promptly. I never had much issues here only that one time they forgot my order. But it's ok.
Apart from that, they are quite accommodating because there was that one time I had cravings for several different things and ordering three different dishes just to satisfy my cravings did not sound sensible. So I asked if instead of curry chicken in my nasi lemak, could I have prawns, siu yuk (roast pork) and char siu (BBQ pork). They said ok. Of course I had to pay a little bit more but it was worth that two dollars (or was it three).
But please, that was just a one off and I learned to respect restaurant menu and not be such a pain. Cravings are cravings, but thank God they aren't always the same.
I was so excited that Kitchen Inn moved to a newer and bigger premise near the South Ocean Chinese restaurant in Kardinya. Even though the restaurant is bigger, the sizeable crowd and popularity of this place has not relented and we often found difficulty in having a group lunch during weekdays even though it was after the peak lunch time.
First time visiting Kitchen Inn in Kardinya. Really impressed with the quality of food. They were tasty and hot (made to order): Nasi Lemak Special, Kampua Special, Wonton Noodle & Seafood Fried Rice. This will be our regular restaurant once we move back to the neighbourhood for sure.
Yum! My girlfriends and I met up for lunch at Kitchen Inn, Kardinya.
We ate their famous handmade noodles and it was amaaaaazing!
We ordered the Braised Pork Flat Noodles and a few other dishes, but these noodles were definitely the winner.
They were just so fresh and cooked to perfection!
Two thumbs up. I only have had experience with take-away when I choose to eat there. For the amount you pay, very good quality and quantity of food given. Great local place to grab a feed.
Nice. Got a take away beef and was very good, good size and value....
Great food!!. Was there for dinner on Friday night with a group of 6.. Service was excellent, we brought a bottle of wine and they took care of the glasses and were very attentive.. Food was so tasty and our bill for 6 ppl.. $10 per head.. Highly recommend and a enjoyable night out :) will be back soon
Always come here for a taste of home. Have to say it's one of the best places in Perth serving authentic Malaysian food. Went for a take away on a Sunday night. Took ages. That being said, the system they have at the back there could more organized.
Today is my first time here. I heard my friend they have just moved to where chicken treat along south street. When I went there, they were so busy and when my braised pork belly rice came out, they looked so delicious and it tasted super delicious too. Definitely will come back and recommend this east Malaysian kitchen inn Kardinya.
Authentic and Yummy!. I have been here many times and it's been consistently good. I tried the famous noodle dishes and it looks small, but it was very very filling. The noodles are very authentic and super yum! The chendol drink was very delicious as well. I tried the Char Kway Teow and that is one of the best ones in Perth. The rice dishes are not as popular, but why pick rice when you have hand-made noodles! Highly recommend!
Food only. I come for food only. Cheap. Bak kut teh is good and the noodles are good. Be prepared though to be seated with strangers. Well, what can I expect? Cheap and fancy!?
I went there for lunch and it was so packed. The food was very nice and is at a very reasonable price. I will definitely go back again
The foods are just so nice... Just the customers behind me ruined my mood today!!! So annoyed!!! Unbelievable that these ppl can be so selfish for not willing to share table with others OMG!!! Totally Unbelievable!!!
I came today and it was very busy! Love the noodles and the ice lemon tea and service was great! ! definitely back again! !
Terrible service but great noodles. Great to a quick fill for under $10.
Finally somewhere that sells pan mee, not very authentic as it doesn't have the normal potato leaves that comes with it, and no black fungus, but happy with it... Good job!
First time trying their kampua and kolo mee last week, after I knew they open one at kardinya. It was delicious!
My parents said the noodles here reminded them of how noodles used to taste in Singapore when they were growing up, and for me the Kampau Special with a side of wantons was almost the Platonic Form of what my dream wanton noodles would be.
First time having a meal here. Had fried fish curry with rice and ban Mian soup for dinner. Portion is big and we enjoyed the food.
Taste for both is pretty good but the fish curry is a bit too thick and I feel that the amount of fish is a bit little.
Value for money
Will come back here again to try the other dishes they've got.
They serve tasty Malaysian food. Service is fast & friendly. Place is spacious, clean restrooms & prices are very much standard. Location is great too with big parking space.
This is one of rarest and also the best chinese resto you will find in Perth that caters Vegetarian. All the menu can be requested with No Garlic. Great service from the staff! There is Formosa vegetarian restaurant at the complex but this joint is a great option!
Came for lunch and was not disappointed. Picture shown is the Kolo Mee Egg Special. Char siew a little dry and wasn’t the best but noodle and minced pork portions were generous. Sauce wasn’t to salty and you just got to add chilli oil in it to make it wholesome
Delicious noodles and rice with various meat combo. Value for money. Huge variety with malaysian coffee and tea available. We share 3 dishes among us 3 adults and 1 child. Surroundings are basic but service is quick. Good stop for a quick bite.
Humble Asian establishment with very polite and warm service. Food is priced reasonably given it’s Asian cuisine here in Perth and the portion is very generous. Ordered the chicken rice, dried ban mian & (pictured) kampua noodles special. All foods were up to standard!
Super friendly, well priced and super delicious! Big fan of the chap kuey, chay kuey teoh, fried chicken and kampua noodles. My local go to!
Great food, they offer reasonable range of varieties with good prices. Good value for money.
However, they are normally busy and hence relatively poor customer service.
