The food here wasn't good, it was FANTASTIC. Big portions, I eat alot and I was stuffed. It's a little hole in the wall dive, in my experience that's where you always get the best meals and this place was no different. Need to go down the stairs to get to the restaurant. the sate padang tastes the most similar to the one you could get in indonesia. the beef rendang and chili eggplant are so good! and they have a bowl of chili paste on the counter, that is so good too!

Nice true Indonesian food in low key setting. Same as you would find back in the Archipelago. Very affordable. Definitely a local Asian place where only the people in the know would go.

Nice fried fish balado, veg and rice accompanied with sambal at reasonable price.

(update) permanently closed as of 14th July 2018 --- cheap, no fuss place. but the atmosphere is slowly getting worse and worse. it used to be so much more lively and vibrant. and the quality of the food too, has gone down - but its still at pretty cheap prices.

I had a very bad experience with Ox Tail soup. All I could taste was salt in the soup. I cannot taste the usual ox tail soup. I may come back and see what the other food taste like.

The food was very nice and delicious but the wait time was very long.the price was reasonabally cheap and the atmospehere has lots of cultural references.overall it was pretty good.
