Great for a lunch catch up. I like that this place has bubble tea AND food! Their kolomee is good. I've come back 3x for it already.

Tea Woks is another little casual cafe on Hay, and this one sells Malaysian food. They also serve great value bubble tea. The menu has a tempting list of Malay favourites, noodles, chicken wings, bak kut teh etc. On this occasion I chose Hainanese chicken rice. The chicken was lovely – melt in the mouth, and had been cooked really well, The rice had the wonderful chicken flavour, and the chilli sauce was a great accompaniment. The soup was a little weak though and could have been better.

Small but perfectly executed menu. Delicious kway teow and yummy dumplings. Good bubble tea too. We had pork fried rice, char kway teow, fried wontons, two spring rolls and a bubble tea and it was $34.

This place has quickly become one of my fave noodle spots. This Malaysian restaurant seems to really have it down pat with efficient but polite service, perfectly made noodles, flavoursome sauces, fresh ingredients, lots of texture and really reasonable prices (especially given it's in the CBD). It's clean, bright and comfortable too.
I took a tip from someone and ordered extra "wok hei" (that beautiful wok char, no extra cost!) on my Char Kway Teow and it was excellent. I think I only paid about $12. Smokey, generous and tasty. You get to choose your protein and I ordered it with seafood, which was lovely. It came out promptly and I liked that my entrée was handed to me at the counter upon ordering so I could shovel it in straight away. The pumpkin and potato curry puff was only $2.50 with light and crispy pastry, lots of filling and a good balance of flavour. Everything is decently portioned too, and even though I can eat quite a lot this place always fills me up.
I also appreciated the table to the side giving you a help yourself option of extra crockery, and free choices of chilli sauces. I've already been back another four times in the month or so since discovering it, and also enjoyed my Kolo Mee (more saucy than other places), my Fried Kampua (lovely cripy lard, yum!!) and my baked BBQ pork bun. Definitely give it a go.
The food here is not only reasonably priced but tasty! Staff are friendly and accommodating. And not to mention their self serve condiments which is rare find these days! Keep it up Tea woks 💪💪
Try their kolo Mee and ho fun! We found it to be tasty. Pan mee was nice too however I would prefer my noodles to be more chewy.
Found this cozy malaysian restaurant along hay street offering classic noodle such as kolo mee. Though my favorite here would definitely be their fried kolo mee. Flavour is good. And to top it off they also sell bubble tea! Price is decent too. The only downside for me is that I personally found the portion is a little bit small.

Kolo mee that’ll transport you to Sarawak, wanton soup that hits the spot, deep fried chicken wings for a steal and yummy salted fish fried rice all served up in a clean, spacious and warm little place on Hay Street. Really happy with my meal, though someone at our table ordered hainanese chicken rice and the chicken wasn’t as fabulous as the rice, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Will be back to work my way through the menu.
Simple, cheap and yummy meals. Staff are friendly and efficient, food is tasty and noodles done to perfection.

Pretty nice lunch place around east perth for those who crave the West Malaysian dishes, their kompia is to die for. But their kolomee is not the best version you can get out there in Perth. Their kampua is superb!

We've been here many times and it's great! Reasonable prices, tasty food, and a range of bubble teas/Malaysian drinks available. There's plenty of children's cutlery too so very child-friendly.
Tastiest items on the menu so far are the fried chicken wings (they have some kind of delicious red marinade), Foochow Kompia (like mini tasty pork mince burgers in fried dough), and the Pork Fried Rice (super delicious rice, topped with roast pork that was not bad). The Hor Fun was not bad.
The Fried Kampua was also good, though be aware the noodles themselves are unflavoured, all the flavours are in the topping.
The Hokkien Mee I wasn't a fan of - it tasted a little bland to me, and I didn't like the flavour of the little bits of pork crackling on top.
Overall would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner - the menu/prices don't change :)
Good food always. Affordable prices and authentic asian food. Highly recommend. Lunch lines can be long but move quickly!
Best and most authentic Sarawak noodles in town. But wish the kolo noodles are consistent with sauce and gravy.
Will always go back for sure.
