Review Deen Street Bbq - Perth

Kat m
Disappointed! Returned here for a second time last night, after our last experience which was great - relaxed environment & good food. Unfortunately not the case this time! Waited over half an hour for a drink, our food actually arrived first, & I ended up going to the bar and running our own drinks. Dirty fries were great but ribs were inedible. We told our waitress who didn't seem to have a clue what to say. Didn't eat them and were charged for all food. Seems quite hit and miss. More staff required and staff who are well trained and have experience. Go on a weeknight as they don't seem to be able to handle busy times.

Food was not too bad... it’s expensive compare with quality of meat. By the way, beef wasn’t fresh enough.

We paid $70 for a delivery from menulog, 30 mins late after ordering 2 hours previously. There was hardly enough meat to satisfy us, the meat that we received was very dry, ribs had no meat and the rest of the food was soggy and I'm pretty sure that it was all microwaved. We called up to speak to the manager and the lady that we spoke to hung up the phone instead of helping us out. Avoid at all costs. Chef should be ashamed of himself, amateur!!

Amazing food fresh off the smoker, come with friends and order a tray with everything to share. Cocktails are great and have some really good flavors. Service can be a little slow as the bar is usually flat out. Perfect place for a group night out.

Dysmal. Went last night. Average food with well above average prices. Service absurdly slow. Kitsch decor does not make up for terrible quality. When I asked where our food was I was the waitress told me she didn’t speak English and went to get someone else. In fairness the meat was reasonable but it was not worth it. A travesty compared to the old Italian that used to be here. We won’t be back and I strongly suggest you remain one step ahead of me by not going in the first place.

Great full rack of ribs and side of fries. Challenge for one person but challenge completed!

Went in with coupon. Forgot to make a booking as it’s strictly no walk ins for coupon but the owner was gracious enough to let us walk in. The dirty fries was properly dirty plenty of pulled pork on them. The half chicken with hot sauce was delicious. The 300g of pork ribs were falling off the bone. The burgers were very tasty and juicy. And the choc cake and ice cream was very warm and gooey with caramel sauce. I would recommend it and will be going back. Sometimes when you visit places with Groupon or Scoopon you get the feeling that they’re kind of skimping out on some of the portions; this place however was on point. At no point did we feel like they were skimping out on anything. One suggestion would be more plentiful sides with the meat. So that would be more slaw.

My wife and I bought a Scoopon for Porky's, $29 for $60 off the menu. We ordered the meat plate. $47 for two small sausages, 4 strips of steak, a small pile of pulled pork and half a rack of ribs. We also ordered a full rack of ribs, dirty fries, and fries with ranch dressing and a couple of beers to wash it down. The best part of the meal... The fries! The steak was delicious! The ribs, supposedly their signature dish were dry and tough and the BBQ sauce was in a tiny ramekin rather than on the ribs! All in all... Disappointed. Even with the voucher it wasn't worth the money in my opinion

I have been here once on a Dimmi deal and rocked up for a lunch appointment. We were the only ones they were serving in a Saturday arvo so it was really quiet. Ordered a burger and some ribs, and the food came fairly quick. Initially the burger didn't seem to be very appealing but I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. Perhaps presentation wasn't the best but I would definitely head back if I were after a tasty burger. Some places may have patties which lack flavour which makes the burger experience u enjoyable. But here at Deen Street BBQ, burgers didn't look the prettiest, but definitely made me want to go back again for more.

went on date night, amazing customer service and helpful. order meat tray, dirty fries and chicken wings. Food arrived quickly, and the ribs, brisket chicken wings were flavorsome. definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Fantastic setting, fantastic feeling,  and the food is top grade, the chef's do a fantastic job. The bartenders are fast and efficient. Top place with a top staff.

Visited with a Living Social voucher where we paid $49 for $100 credit to spend on food and drinks. We ordered the meat tray which came with 300g pork ribs, 100g beef brisket, 100g chopped pork, beef sausage, pork sausage, coleslaw, garlic bread and sauce. We also ordered a serve of fries and mac n cheese. <br/><br/>The best part of the meat platter were the ribs. Tender and basted with a delicious sauce. The chopped pork was also nice and tender. The brisket was ok but both type of sausages were really dry. In hindsight I would've just gone for the full rack of pork ribs. The chips were great. Mac n cheese was nice but needed a little more seasoning. <br/><br/>Service was friendly and attentive.

This american style bbq joint has some serious work to do.<br/><br/>The food simply lacks flavour. The mac and cheese was dry, the pizza was bland and the ranch dressing was basically watered down sour cream with chives. The burgers were ok but smothered in that bland "ranch" dressing #sadbbq<br/><br/><br/>The only upside was the staff, whilst inexperienced, made a real effort.

First impressions...great customer service, attentive and very welcoming. We had the spicy chicken wings accompanied with blue cheese sauce was so good, steak sandwich was a little quite chewy, chicken burger was slightly dry and the dirty fries speak for themselves!

Our orders were: mac and cheese, chicken wings, cheese burger, beef brisket and bbq chicken pizza.<br/><br/>Place was pretty big but very empty. The waiter turned on the reverse cycle which kept us nice and warm.<br/>The mac and cheese could use more salt and cheese, wings were good and spicy but the dipping sauce it came with was not good. Cheese burger was juicy, brisket and pizza were okay but nothing special. <br/><br/>There was a great 40% discount for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday which brought our mountain of food down to $42. It was a good deal with the discount but we probably wouldn't come back at full price.

A bit under rated by many reviews. Good qualitu bbq, with good portion size for the price. Servers are very nice, but maybe need more training. Recently seems like the place is either going through a big change or going out off business. Definitely hope they stick it through; as they have a great spot and good atmosphere every time I've been.

We had breakfast for my sons 18th here though the dishes were ok they didn't wow us, the honey/maple syrup mix should probably be offered as a side not directly over the pancakes as it was a bit much, you'd also think as a BBQ joint they'd produce their own bacon, sausages and backed beans.<br/><br/>While we waited I read through the menu and it's not really what you'd expect from a BBQ joint, emphasis is on burgers and pizza and other American style dishes and not enough 'Q'<br/><br/>Could be a great concept if a few tweaks were made

We were a group of 5 ladies with Scoopon Vouchers. My bookings were 2 people per voucher and were confirmed.  The manager would not allow us to sit together on one table and order seperately according to the vouchers. (2 people per voucher). However, we were allowed to sit at three tables and pull them together with a small gap between each table. Food was very ordinary and service poor, although the waitress was very sweet. By the way, there were 8 other guest in the restaurant so we weren't taking up needed tables.
Verity De Fries
Came as a group of 6 for an early dinner on Saturday night. A glass of wine requested by one of the group was not available, despite being on the menu - the waiter informed us that some of the menus are out of date... but then didn't replace our menus so we all had current menus, or didnt go through and point out what the changes were? Food was OK, but many of the dishes blended together amd all you could taste was bbq sauce. Jalepeno poppers were too crunchy, with not enough filling. One food item ordered was not received. Throughout our meal we were never asked if we wanted to order more drinks or if the food was OK, and the place was quiet so there really was no excuse. We had finished our food and drinks and were sitting for about 25mins before we had to summon staff to clear our table and tell them all the food hadn't been brought out. The staff, including the "manager" didn't offer any kind of apology when these short-comings were pointed out. They could tell we were not happy diners, so gave us a 10% discount, bit showed no sign that they understood why we were upset.<br/>With so many other similar BBQ joints around, I doubt we will be coming back here.

Good place. Probably a 3.25 to 3.5.<br/>Friendly service. cool decor with lots of americana pictures. Plenty of space and fast service so  good for party's. To me it could be a quality version of a faux mexican restaurant which pumps out ordinary food to lots of party goers.<br/>Wings were good (my favourite dish) Four with mini drum stick attached. Lovely and sticky. Brisket not bad but so so. Thin sliced and a bit cool when it hit the table. "Chopped Pork" is their pulled pork and it was tender and sort of half pulled. Be good in a burger/slider. The pork ribs were okay. Tender and comes off the bone. But since I discovered the "St Louis Cut" this one was not really what I want any more. The stuffed jalapenos were okay but there is no need to order them (unless you are me) and I would have preferred them to be better.  Better off saving room for something else. Condiments were decent quality but not house made and you can tell the difference. I heard the coleslaw has a cream rather than vinegar dressing which is why I did not bother trying it. I like a sour vinegary coleslaw (I know I could just order the sauer kraut).<br/>It is not the best American BBQ in town but the competition from Porky's Maylands, Side Door Mt Lawley and Old Crow, Northbridge is pretty tough and the kitchen on the whole does its job properly and pretty well. The chef does know what he/she is doing. Be a good place for a big party. <br/>I hope they do okay but I worry that the floor space is so big. If they are paying rent by the square metre they are going to need to morph into a kind of very busy bar night spot. The layout is good for a bar. Don't get me wrong the food is pretty good.

We decided to try this place on a Tuesday night and we are quite impressed with the ambience. The location is on the quieter side of northbridge. The staffs were friendly and it wasn't that busy with only maybe 5-6 tables seated at that point. So we ordered and the food came very quickly! As always we ordered way too much for just two of us. We had dirty mac and cheese (I cannot pass any mac and cheese dish), smoking hot buffalo wings, and the meat tray (the staff reckoned if you order this with a couple of side dish you'd be all right for two). We love and would so come back for the wings and mac and cheese! The wings are the American style sticky and spicy wings and the mac and cheese is just too tasty! The meat tray on another hand, is very filling, we ended up couldn't finish them. But the beef brisket and pulled pork is so soft and tender. The ribs and sausage were nice too but unfortunately they are a little bit dry. Overall, it was a good experience and we would love to come back to try more next time.

Went there w a Dimmi discount 50% off food. I ordered the cheese burger double beef, he had the dirty pulled pork burger (cant remember the exact name). We also got 2 sides of fries, deep fried jalapeños and the hush puppies. The burgers tasted great. He loved his. Mine was delicious but had a structural issue and one fail. Structural issue was with the construction. Bread, one cheese slice, patty, one tomato slice, patty, cheese, salad. Here's the think w cheese burgers . You use the cheese as the glue that holds the whole thing together. When u put the patties against each other when u eat it the whole thing falls apart! When u put a slippery tomato btwn them it makes it worst. Also cheese has to be melted! It what makes cheese burger awesome. As u can see from pic the cheese wasnt melted at all (also why use sliced processed cheese?!). The food overall was under seasoned but there were various condiments. Service was great and prompt.

dirty fries and chicken wings marvelous...............the best ever <br/>they have some good burgers...................<br/>pork ribs this time is still fells in my mouth.......<br/><br/>will back again...............
The Big Ticket
Burgers missing ingredients, wait staff don't speak english, obscene wait for food, $5 for a post mix coke, sauce with chips was less than a quarter of the bowl it came in. Would give less than 1 if zomato would let me.

Visited DSB on a Scoopon voucher for a Sunday morning brunch... DSB had a pleasant atmosphere for a quiet Sunday morning in Northbridge. We were greeted with a friendly smile and service was friendly and efficient. Food and beverages were delicious and served in a reasonable timeframe. I am sure it would be pumping come night time with the funky paired back décor and cool bar. Would recommend to others to give it a try.

Decided to try this place out with a group of friends despite the poor reviews. Big mistake. While at first glance the restaurant looks well presented, on closer inspection the lights are covered in spider webs and some of the fixtures don't even have lights in them. While the staff were friendly and fairly accommodating, the food was well below average. I had the veggie burger, which had the driest patty I have ever tasted (and it wasn't even warm) and a side of Mac and cheese, which was flavourless. The drinks we ordered weren't even cold and the starters came out well after the mains. Then to top it all off they tried to charge us an extra $25 for a service fee due to it being a public holiday. Last time I checked New Year's Eve isn't a public holiday. The staff member took $15 off of our bill after we spoke up, but we still paid an extra $10 for eating lunch at a restaurant on a regular day. Don't bother going to this place unless you enjoy poor food, warm drinks and paying extra money for absolutely no reason.

Asked for pints and received schooners. Steak a touch overdone for medium. Sauce a touch heavy.Service excellent. On the whole not too bad really.

Went here with a groupon voucher. Very average food, would not eat here again, not even worth the discounted price. The deal was a 3 course meal with drinks for 2 people. It looks much bigger in the pictures, it was barely enough to feed us both. I left hungry and unsatisfied.
Sasha
We ordered a big brekky each (2 people) and expected to have a portion each. Instead they brought out a large plate in which they literally took a single potion and halved it!! I.e. 1 sausage (cut in half), 2 eggs on each side and a bit of baked beans. They added 2 pieces of toast to make it look like it was for two people. To make it worse the food was very cold when it arrived. We sent it back, 10mins later came back just as cold. The eggs were completely raw and food in general was of poor quality. Chef clearly couldn't care less and neither could the manager because other people were complaining about the same thing and manager wouldn't accept anything was wrong with their food and service. Don't waste your time or money here we came out hungrier than when we came in!!
Scott
The service sucked we were shown to a table without menu's only to have the waitress come ask if we were ready to order. Food took a long time to be served the waitress shoved it in front of us without explaining what was what. The ribs were a little chewie with an overpowering sauce. The brisket was nice though. We ordered the dirty fries that said they came with blue cheese but instead were drowned in a horrible vinegar sauce.

Excellent service, great food! The hot chilli dog was amazing and actually had some heat. The vibe of the place was really cool. Good selection of beers on tap, feral hop hog, monteiths pale ale, even matsos ginger beer. The beefeater pizza with roasted peppers was very tasty, will be back for sure.

We booked for a table of two on Friday evening and were reserved an outdoor seating. Indoor seating would have been better.<br/>We ordered:<br/>🍴Meat Tray - pork ribs, beef briskets, chopped pork, chilli beef and pork fennel sausage<br/>🍴Greens - brocolli and spinach<br/>🍴Pear, rocket, spinach, pecan, feta and pomegranate<br/>All were wonderful.<br/>Top customer service ensuring we had plenty of drinks and even the new waitress asked how was the quality food.<br/>Try the homemade iced tea!

Came here for a reservation at 6.30 and was still sitting waiting for drinks let alone food an hour an half later. Had no menus for 45 minutes or water for the table. Waiters aren't very good at understanding English so waste of time asking how far away drinks or food is. Very cold restaurant, needs heaters. Wrong orders came out and had to tell 2 different times. Also noticed other tables complaining about service. Serious need for a re look at the place as it could be a great restaurant but unfortunately terrible service. Room for improvement majorly. Would not return again.

Food wasn't great, chips were soggy, chicken needed sauce and ribs had hardly any meat. Was looking forward to a good night, but was let down, should have taken the hint when we were the only ones there! Needs more variety on the menu! Won't be going back!
Kelsey Montgomery
The portions were small and the ribs were disappointing. The brisket was mostly fat and the side dishes were too small. Summary? Not value for money and left feeling hungry. Honourable mention to waiter- he was attentive and looked after us well, shame about the food though!
Edward
Tasty and messy, the service was the biggest negative - stretched and slow on the night of our visit, though the value and food quality is redeeming. The (Buffalo) chicken wings ($10 for 3) is a good rendition, hot and sticky. The Po boy very good - the dry brisket perfectly offset by the sloppy tangy slaw ($11). The half serve of pork ribs ($14.50) smoky and true, though dry. The dirty fries ($13) guilt ridden and addictive. There's a good selection of beers and a fairly rudimentary (as you might expect) wine list. Dessert seems to be an afterthought, the only menu option was a warm pecan pie which was unavailable on our visit.

Hungry and slightly cold after an evening of Pokemon hunting, me and my friend decided to try Deen Street BBQ after flicking through our entertainment book (good find).<br/><br/>The place wasn't packed out considering it was a Friday night so we were lucky enough to get a table as walk ins. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the friendly service.<br/><br/>We tried the meat platter and some sides (the greens and fries to share). They also do drink specials so we both had the mojitos. I thought the food was great, it all tasted fantastic (although I preferred the chilli beef sausage over pork fennel sausage which tasted a little dry).<br/><br/>Overall I thought the food was great with friendly, fantastic staff. I would definitely come to try out the rest of their menu however the only complaint might be the portions that you get vs the price you pay.

Dirty fries....bbq ribs...chicken wings are so good. One of the top bbq house ever. Staff and venues is quite impressive. Bbq based five o pizza is another best taste of them. Will see you soon deen. <br/>
Ce Eva
Attractive place with friendly staff. Starter with hush puppies and chicken wings that was flavorsum......in the mains dirth fries, chopped pork pizza, po boy sandwitch and the jucy and trendy ribs was really nice and good. One of the best in bbq house in perth.
Williespants
Nice big venue, perfect for large groups of parties - but it was really quiet for a Saturday night surprisingly. But having ordered, I can see a little why. We had a good range - Chilli Dog, full rack Pork Ribs, fries with ranch sauce, Po-Boy burger and the Chopped Pork Pizza. The chilli dog came in a brioche burger bun rather than hotdog bin, sausage was spicy but really tough and dry - that was it, quite disappointed, wish there was more cheese. The pizza was ok, may rather dry again. Loved the fries, extra crispy and the sauce was light and fresh. The ribs weren't marinated well, just drenched in bbq sauce and didn't get the bbq nature of the meat at all. My friend said the Po-Boy beef brisket burger was good though, messy but juicy. Overall food was just average, good with some beers I guess but not for a tasty fill.
Laura Morgan
Only positives were the staff and the wine she suggested! Really friendly nice girls. Food was very disappointing though, tasteless, dry and just not good.
Liv
Having tried Deen St BBQ on a number of occasions over the past month or two, we've never had a bad meal or bad service.<br/><br/>Brisket has been excellent every time we've been here, as has the mac cheese. We've also enjoyed the ribs, chopped pork and the fried halapenos. The buffalo wings are among the best we've had in Perth. <br/><br/>Compared to the multitude of other BBQ places in Perth, Deen St is the tastiest, the most consistent, and the most affordable.
Bethany Donoghue
Hidden gem in Perth, fantastic service. It's basically old faithful in the CBD before it went down hill. Not a lot of people know about this place as of yet so getting a table was no issue! <br/><br/>Shredded pork was also fantastic and so was the screw driver cocktail I had.
Tim
For such a limited and specialised menu you would expect some epic quality considering the price. However, just doesn't quite hit the mark - I could buy meatier ribs from my local deli, they were low on flavour and brisket was over cooked. Service was good. An old faithful wannabe.
Nmad
Joined a few friends here for dinner on a Friday night, the place was relatively quiet with plenty of free tables. Nice looking joint but the food was fairly average and the service was slow considering how empty it was. Any place that claims to be American BBQ needs to needs bulk sauce served with their meets or make sure the meets are so juicy the sauce isn't needed, unfortunately this place failed to meet either of these. The one saving grace is the price isn't over the top. I wouldn't say I wouldn't go back, but anything half decent would get the nod over it
Elsie C
Deen Street BBQ or Porky's BBQ, I am not sure which is the correct name!  Had dinner here using the entertainment book, ordered ribs, mac n cheese, and the chilli n beef sausage, the pork n fennel sausage.  The ribs and sauce were fairly tasty and it was great not to have sausages dripping in fat.  The food overall was nice but not astounding. The portions were reasonable.  The atmosphere is very nice and we had a lovely little table in the corner.  The bathrooms are beautiful.  Staff were friendly, food was quick.

Updated (15/11/17): Having been here a few years ago and received average food, I was more than excited to give the place another go.<br/><br/>The mac 'n' cheese topped with kraut and smokey pulled pork was the most disappointing dish of the day 😑. Macaroni was overcooked and it wasn't cheesy enough. Pulled pork was wet, lacked flavour and the rest of the topping was forgettable.<br/><br/>Smokey slow-cooked chicken wings were the best chicken wings I've had in a while 🐔🔥. They were deliciously seasoned and the smokiness added another dimension to the flavour profile, especially when dipped in that creamy blue cheese sauce.<br/><br/>The meat tray consisted of 300g pork ribs, 100g beef brisket, 100g chopped pork, chilli beef sausage and pork fennel sausage 🐷🐮. Sliced garlic bread was surprisingly crispy and golden, loaded with a good amount of butter and garlic. The meat and sausages were satisfying, with pork ribs being the stars on the tray 🌟. They were cooked to perfection, tender and falling off the bone.<br/><br/>In general I'm glad we gave Deen Street BBQ another chance as they have definitely taken feedback onboard and improved leaps and bounds.<br/>_______________________________________________<br/>We came in a group of 6 and found the food just above average. The place was spacious and had quite a nice atmosphere. I shared pork ribs, brisket, quarter chicken and mac n cheese with a friend and we totally loved the mac n cheese, it was cheesy, creamy and so soo satisfying. The lemon herb chicken was nicely seasoned and moist. The brisket was soft and tender but I found it a bit too salty, although my friend liked it that way. The pork ribs were meant to be their specialty but were quite a let down. They were nice and all but just didn't have the wow factor. The meat wasn't as tender as we would have liked and the seasoning wasn't anything special. It was a good dinner, but we wouldn't hurry to come back here.

Went here on Valentine's Day. Amazing iced tea... And okay service. Food served up 5 mins after ordering... Luke warm meat tray and tough ribs.<br/>20 mins into the meal I was violently ill, we left straight after as I thought I had a stomach wog.<br/>Turns out it was food poisoning as hubby started being violently ill an hour after.<br/>Management wasn't interested because I paid my bill( was in a hurry to get home and be sick).<br/>Worst still was the fact the food wasn't even good !<br/>
Geri Adams
Turned up on a Friday night and were seated and served very promptly.<br/><br/>Tried the smokey bbq hot wings (hot and different hot if you're used to Asia hot) with Ranch dipping sauce. Not a fan of the chipotle. Maybe have an option of amount of spice? Made it not enjoyable  :(
Ruslan Baker
Group of 6 got there 6:30 pm Wednesday night. A nice place with a friendly welcome and services. The food was good and tasty worth the money. got pork ribs, Angus beef brisket, Mac and cheese chicken and a ice tea shared this with friend while the others got chips. The Mac and cheese was nice not the best I have had but would order it again. Chicken was well seasoned nice flavour I got the lemon and herb (was a chill choice as well). The ice tea was refreshing lemon and mint. The ribs and beef brisket were filling and a good feed. My friend found the brisket salty which but I don't mind the salty taste (with in reason) All in all the food was good I would come back here again. It's a big place lost of room for people to drink at the bar or to sit down for a feed. Family friendly.

Went on a busy Saturday night with my family. Even though we had no booking we were seated very quickly. The restautant was really busy but the service was so good we felt like we were the only ones there! Not fussing over us all the time and drinks came out very quickly. Food was delicious the ribs were the highlight they just fall off the bone. I want the recipe so i can have these all the time! We will definitely be back again this is the best bbq in town in my opinion!
Hayden Bickley
Nice place excellent American style BBQ with good service and drinks enjoyed the night out here their BBQ ribs are nice has nice smokey taste to it.
Sam Jones
Went there last Saturday it was really busy but we managed to get a table quickly. Very friendly service. We ordered Full pork ribs to share and it was delicious.
Margaret Nguyen
Went on a Tuesday night and although it wasn't full took a while to be seated and for the first round of drinks to come out. Took almost 2 hours for the food to arrive so we asked to have it for take away instead. The hush puppies and fries were undercooked and the rib servings were small and over smoked. Could be a place with real potential but was a real let down this time.
Pris
2.8 rating<br/>Service was prompt and polite. The restaurant was 2/6 full on weekday (this is a big venue!) .<br/><br/>We ordered the half rack ribs to try. The picture is below. We felt the flavours were ok but it was quite tough and dry. Felt like maybe it was reheated? It was a real disappointment .<br/><br/>The Po boy burger was ok and was good value. I imagine having a night out along Aberdeen street and feeling satisfied with a Po boy within a toasted brioche bun. Good lashings of soft meat within and we liked this one. <br/><br/>The chili dog was dry . The sausage was dry and just disappointing. The value of this burger would have been good if done well. <br/><br/>This place takes entertainment card discounts which is good. <br/>

Visited this beautiful place on Sunday's night with my fiancé. We went with some expectation about the American bbq taste and we were very much pleased about the food and service we had. <br/><br/>Po-boy sandwich was yummy and juicy, beef brisket and ribs taste one of the best I had in the city. We ordered meat try pizza and it was also flavoursome. Despite drinks came a bit late But the watermelon salad freshen our entire time. <br/>Love to come again. <br/>Thanks guys and thanks Porkys. <br/>
Stacey Brown
Tasty, smokey, well presented food. Service was prompt and friendly. Wine pour was very decent and quality beers on tap with good mid week and Sunday specials on offer. Give it a<br/>Go, we will be back to try out more off the menu.

Love this place. Been here a few times now and each time the food has been really good. Recommend the ribs, Porky Pig burger, pomegranate salad & ice tea. Yum!

Been twice at this place. Splendid briskets, awesome juicy ribs and yummy maccheese. I couldn't forget the taste of ranch dip from last visit so I ordered just a ranch dip again. Same like before, strong and perfect taste. Service was pleasant with lovely waitstaffs.
Allabela
visited the restaurant with couple of friends today......started as a dirty fries and hot chicken wings that was really one of the best in perth. After that Meat try pizza, ribs and brisket was really good. Brisket was dam sure one of the best in the menu. We will come back soon. <br/>
FOOD BUTT
I had been looking forward to going to Porkys for a little while, but I must say the experience was a little bit of a let down.<br/><br/>The guy who seated us was nice and friendly and we chose a nice high table outside on the deck. He asked if we wanted to order, but of course we weren't quite ready. He didn't come back for a while! We had to politely catch his attention and ask to order. He seemed a little confused?<br/>When our food came out, we still hadn't received our drinks and had to remind the waiter (1 beer and 1 soft drink).<br/>We weren't too hungry, so my partner and I ordered a meat tray with some bread and a side of Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was a very small portion for $8, and the meat tray didn't satisfy at all. The ribs seemed to be lacking in 'meat'? For $47, it didn't seem very good value.<br/>The price for the meal didn't seem fair for the quality/size and we both left pretty unsatisfied. Customer service was friendly but disorganised and a little clueless.
Hungryhenry
Saturday night dinner after fringe festival. We were seated quickly and given menus to browse. We order the meat plate with a side of Mac and cheese and dirty fries. The meat plate was okay but no flavour in the meat so needed the sauce which was too sweet. The sausage was top pick. The Mac and cheese lack flavour too and the dirty fries were okay but only with the sauce. The food came out quickly but the drinks took forever and we needed to remind the staff. The second round of drinks never appeared so we left and they tried to charge us. I will not return and instead go to Old Faithful for my bbq fix.

Big fan! Really great food, service and price. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was really tasty and definitely satisfied. $60 for a pizza, hot wings and a bottle of wine for 2 people. Definitely will be back!

Basic first rule for any restaurant - serve drinks as promptly as possible, it's really not that hard. Ribs v disappointing. Poor service, no excuse. I saw a comment from the manager in response to a review about a month ago saying that the staff were being trained after xmas. Not sure what type of training you did because it isn't working. We had booked ahead, then two walkins got seated before us. We were given a table towards the outside, i think it is no man's land, because we were then forgotten about. Had to summon waiter to take order. After 30 mins and no drinks we chased them up, then waited another 10 mins for the WRONG order. Serving staff should know what each drink looks like to tell when it is wrong. Still waiting for food - nearly an hour later. .. we shared ribs. I would have thought that a place which specializes in ribs would be able to get them out quicker than that. Dry, not fall off the bone and not much meat. No doubt the owner is raking it in because they certainly aren't spending it on staff. Let's see how long they last.

We've been several times now and the proteins are the absolute business. Ribs are not only smoked but slow roasted and the best I've had in Perth so far. Fries are brilliant as well but avoid the hush puppies and the salads. Actually just avoid salads in general. Finally, do yourself a favour and make yourself familiar with the sauce rack down the back.

Wow this place is great. They have definetly picked their game up over the last few months, both staff wise and with the food. First visit was a few months back, thought the food was great then but it has only got better. Now have adequate staff during busy periods too so we were seated quickly even though it was a busy saturday night. Had the full rack of ribs and the dirty fries to share with a side of mac n' cheese, absolutely delicious fusion of flavours washed down well with a few craft beers. Great experince and will definetly be back a third time!!

Went with couple of friends on saturday..... preety cool place, busy night but still get a good food. Started with dirty fies that was yummy. Later Enjoyed alot with delicious chicken wings, hush puppies and ofcourse the beef brisket are awesome. Mac and cheese is good enough and the ribs is ok. <br/>Overall good food and good place to spend a beautiful evening.

We went porky's on busy time on Friday around @7:30pm restaurant looks full, still a waiter manage to get table for us, quickly got our menu and water on table.<br/>We order chicken wings, dirty fries and hush puppies as an entree and couple drinks. Everything was delicious.<br/>For the main we order meat tray, chilli garlic pizza, lemon and herb chicken and rocket salad food came surprisingly quick and we loved everything specially the chopped pork ,brisket and rocket salad was favourite. All of us was not a big ribs fan but we still try the ribs on meat tray that was tender and nice not enough meat though but this is how ribs is.<br/>Overall very enjoyable night out will definitely come back with more friends.

This is a very cool place , so much potential to attract more people but lack staff during peak periods. Food had good flavours, lots of Bbq sauce flavoured meat and ok portions.<br/><br/>1. Ribs , I expected juicy tear of the bone roll eyes backward and fall off your chair stuff. Think of Tony Romas (which I by the way think it pretty standard) and then forget that you'll have it here. Its skinny and chewy but least nicely spiced with sweet marinade.<br/>2.Pork - really juicy and smoky but think its more the sauce. Had this with the mac and Cheese, its not Rockpool mac & cheese but still yummy.<br/>3.Pear & rocket salad. So delish , fresh and nicely done.<br/>4. Jalapeños - its not stuffed, fried-oily, mildly spiced and tasty with the ranch dip. <br/>5. One drink I would not recommend is the Margarita, the biggest waste of $16 , don't do it...just dont.<br/>6. $9 Scooners - either you care or don't. <br/><br/>I had a scoopon voucher tonight , maybe I'll stop by on a night out again, who knows...<br/><br/>🐷🐷🐷🐷<br/><br/>

Porky's has been on my places to eat list since it opened, i finally got to try it out the other night. Maybe my expectations were set too high after waiting so long to dine there but i was sadly disappointed with the food.<br/>For entree we ordered the chicken wings, mac-n-cheese, chilli beef sausage and fries. The chicken wings had a nice smokey flavour but the blue cheese sauce let down the dish, it lacked flavour/punch for a sauce. The sausage was very dry and not enjoyable to eat. Cant say anything negative about the mac-n-cheese and fries ...<br/>For mains we ordered a half rack of ribs, 200g chopped pork, 200g angus beef brisket, and two pizza's. The ribs had a nice smoked flavour and were meaty but that was it, they were burnt on the outside, the sauce was lacking flavour again and overall was an average to below average dish. The angus beef brisket was salty. The pizza's sound interesting and delicious on the menu but what came out was boring and flavourless. The best dish we had for mains was the chopped pork it had great flavour, nice and moist and falling apart. We used the chopped pork as toppings on the pizza's to add some flavour.<br/>This was a weeknight so the place wasn't very busy, the service was good which always makes the experience more enjoyable.<br/>

Last minute decision to check out this place after seeing it in the entertainment book. Was hoping to experience some authentic American style bbq but unfortunately, the food resembled nothing like what you get in the US. Previous reviews are pretty spot on. Meat is over cooked and flavourless. No smoke taste whatsoever. The ribs in particular were actually the worst I've ever had. Very dry and tasteless. Mac and cheese also tasteless and fried jalapeños were disappointing. Nothing like the real jalapeño poppers you get in the US which are stuffed with cheese and crumbed. Chicken was also quite dry and again, just tasteless. In a very competitive restaurant and bar scene, this place will need to turn up the volume on the food quick smart before they are really in the "pit"!
Dale & Hannah
We went to Porky's for a friend's birthday dinner. I had The Works burger and Dale had the Po Boy burger, with a side of fries. Both were juicy, tender and rich. The chips were some of the best chips we've ever had. Although I had asked for my side of fries to come with a ranch dressing, the server said it was already included but then it didn't come so I just had some of the supplied BBQ sauce instead. A couple of our friends ordered pizzas, which were a decent size and surprisingly filling. Someone ordered the watermelon salad which was equally savoury and refreshing. They allowed us to do split billing. The interiors are quite warm and quirky, a bit like a Typo store in bar form. Keen.

Bit of a mixed bag experience. It started with difficulty to find a park and it was early Thursday evening. We ended up at the expensive 'Wilson Parking' behind them. (Although I realise this is not Porky's fault, it added to the whole overall experience)We walked in to be greeted by no one, and had to go up to the bar to ask about our booking/where we could sit. The place has a weird lay out, all different sections & rooms. Very large and open in some areas. We were seated next to the kegs that my partner stated must be the 'scoopon voucher' table. Anyway getting to the food...My partner was pleased to see Feral Hog Hog ($9.50), and I tried their home made ice tea with mint, lemon & syrup ($4.50) that was served in a mason jar and delicious. I have been told their cocktails are really good too.We ordered the Meat Tray ($47), sides of dill pickle ($2 = generous portion) and a small potato salad ($7 = was pretty small!). My partner wasn't hungry to it turned out to be enough food. The meat tray included a small bowl of delicious sauce and a little cabbage/krout.The big fat sausages were delicious, especially the pork fennel one. The chilli beef one super hot. The beef brisket and chopped pork were amazing and cooked perfectly. The pork ribs were the only let down, being a bit dry and lacking 'meat'. The service was nice, but not there all the time and it wasn't that busy. We managed to figure out the bar was where was had to pay our bill, not the desk at the back of the restaurant on the way to the toilets and near the kitchen. (not sure what that is for).I think I would come back again, but wouldn't rush.

A group of six of us attended last Saturday night. The first interesting observation was that the sign at the door said 'Sorry, we are closed'. Odd for a Saturday night, but we looked through the windows and saw people at tables, so we entered anyway.<br/><br/>We sat down and waited... it took 25min for some to ask if we wanted drinks. We took the opportunity to order food and table water at the same time. The food arrived 45 minutes later (so 70min after we were seated). The waitress had no idea who ordered what, and the some of the orders were combined onto single serving trays. It was confusing (its not a tapas place). The food itself (I had the ribs) was not great. We've had worse, but not work going out of the way for.<br/><br/>Still no drinks or water though. I went to the bar and collected a couple of bottles of water and glasses for the table. 15 minutes after that, the drinks we ordered a hour earlier finally arrived. Most of us had already finished our meals. The waiter apologised for the delay and said he'd take a couple of drinks off the bill.<br/><br/>When it came time to pay, there was no such discount... but we were eager to leave the place so decided not to cause a scene.<br/><br/>Great Location, nicely decorated, poor food and poor, disorganised service. Disappointing.

Dirty fries and jalapeños were amazing but the rest was terrible. <br/>Everything on the meat tray was dry and hard especially the ribs and sausages. The minute the meat tray was placed on the table you could tell it was old or over cooked . The Mac and cheese portion was also flavourless and tiny considering the $8 price tag.

So as much as i wanted to give this place a higher rating i just couldn't. Although the food was for me unbelievable (i had the burger omg!) i couldnt rate it any higher. Unfortunately with alot of establishments staff let it down. Firstly it took quite a while to get served. they could have sold more drinks to us but were just not pro active enough. Now that being said i could live with that because the food was awesome, but i couldnt look past one of the staff's butt! Yes Butt, Please Please Please if any porkys management are reading this, please make your staff wear a belt i do not want to have someones undies in full view of myself or children especially when you can see the crack outlined in his undies. Also needing to pull his pants up everytime he walked away. Im sorry but that is not a good look, maybe outside on the street but not in a family restaurant. I will be back as the food was very good and hope next time i dont have a Butt in my face.

Porkies is fab. Who doesn't love slow roasted meats that are really flavoursome. It's great that they have salads too even out the heaviness of the meats and pizzas for someone who may not like meats. They have great deals on weekdays too.
Lulu's Opinion
We went last week for a mid week dinner... Took them over 1.5 hours to take our order and get the food to us. Even tho we ordered drinks and entrees... It all came out together after a very lengthy wait. The food itself was pretty yummy, the meat was slightly over salted for my liking. I'm disappointed by this slow start... I may need to try it again for something to compare it to.

My first time to porky BBQ and I really enjoyed it. Staff where a bit confused on seating at first but found us a perfect spot. Waitress very informative about the food and drinks which was a great start. The food was spot on American BBQ, great smokey flavors, juicy and delicious. The only negative was the ribs weren't very meaty but the were cooked to perfection.. Service was pretty bad after the initial seating, never got asked or could get anyone's attention for more drinks.. Took 10 mins just to get someone's attention for the bill.. Anyway I loved it and I will be back
Mr Martin
The Yule
Wow, this is bad! Why would you spend thousands of dollars renovating a business and then under staff and under deliver? It makes no sense. The service was terrible (mainly due to not enough staff, rather than the staff themselves - perhaps 3 waitstaff for a restaurant that seats 100). We had to chase down staff all night. After standing idly for 5 minutes we had to ask where we could sit. We got our own menus. We chased down staff to place an order for drinks. We had to go to the bar to collect those drinks ourselves (they weren't coming any time soon). Hassle staff to order the meals. Ask for water for the table, request enough plates for all the people at the table etc etc.<br/>This all would have been forgiven if the food was any good. But it wasnt. Mediocre at best. Absolutely tasteless. We ordered a pretty broad selection of food and none of it is worth mentioning. This isnt complex food, so you would expect them to get it right.  The pizza was particularly terrible. Dry, crusty, overcooked base and bland toppings.Ultimately, this place is not worth the time or effort and is most definitely not worth the money they charge.<br/><br/>The only good thing about it was the apple crumble cocktail, which was delicious, at $17 or so, which bumped the rating from 1 to 1.5, and that's being generous.

Decided to eventually give Porkys in Northbridge a go the sunday just gone as Mrs Ackerman and I were both on holidays. Having walked past a few times before and caught the hickory smoked smell of ribs, to say we were excited was an understatement. Upon entering the well decorated space we were greeted by a very friendly young man behind the bar who still had time to greet us even though he was shaking cocktails and was quite busy. After chatting with us for a few minutes he kindly showed us to our table which was perched on the verandah looking over the bar, quite a nice location. After having seen the cocktail making in action, we both decided to go for the reasonably priced "Apple Crumble" cocktail, as it was Christmas time. The young man took the rest of our order which included two meat trays and a side of mac n cheese. Returning very quickly with our cocktails, which we were both very pleased with and was like nothing we had tasted before, a beautiful combination of sweet and sour and the perfect compliment to our food. Food came out quicker then expected and, when we asked, our waiter explained everything on the plate and how it was cooked which was very interesting and a nice touch. Overall the food was exactly what you would expect from a kansas style BBQ, lots of it and really tasty. Ribs and Briskett were the highlights and went down a treat. Service was exemplary and I really appreciate the abiltity that our waiter had to chat with us even though it is busy and not making his tables feel rushed. Food 5/5 Service 5/5. Very impressed and will definetly be back.

Got delivery. Was told on arrival that the 5.7km, 10min drive was too far so they would not deliver to us again (despite putting their delivery menu in our mailbox). No sweat. Food was pretty average.

At first view I was impressed - quite a funky looking place with a mixture of decor, plenty of seating options to choose from and a nice bar section.<br/>Took a seat and noticed the floor wasn't swept - not a good look seeing as they had just opened... (the toilets were also not very clean).<br/>Plenty of variety on the menu - I ordered the rib rack, the meat tray pizza, hush puppies and fries. Food came out fairly quick (although they weren't busy yet either) and was well presented however we were only served a half rack, not a full (this was fixed when asked). The pizza was delicious however fairly pricey for a pizza! Delicious fries too! The main event for me was supposed to be the ribs but I was thoroughly disappointed with chewy, hard to eat ribs with an overpowering sauce :( <br/>I am sorry to say that I won't be back here - I was really hoping it would be a lot better than this.

I went yesterday with couple of friends, I like the venue having antique collection of pictures and arts. We ordered mixed meals. Out of this, brisket was fantastic one of the best ever in Perth. I became a big fan of chicken wings despite of bit hot. Ribs taste good and the Mac & cheese was best. <br/>Potato salad and pear & rocket salad were the best among variety of salads. <br/>All in all, we had a good time, tasty food with friendly staffs. <br/><br/><br/>
The Urban Bento
Having being to a number of American style bbq places we were a little skeptical but this was one of the best! Had the meat tray and two pizzas shared between 4 and there was wayyy too much food! Each item on the meat tray had a distinct flavour. We also have the beef eater and meat tray pizza (we don't do things in halves!) And both were delicious... particularly the meat tray pizza. Think a meat lovers pizza on steroids!!!! Yum!

Went there on Sunday lunch and had best chicken wings and dirty fries ever....my partner loves house made ice tea as well the decor looks amazing service was great will definitely back!

I organised my boyfriend's b'day dinner for 16 people and the Porky's team were so accommodating! Everyone in the group loved the food and had a great time. I personally had the pork ribs, mac and cheese and chips and it was sooooo delish! If you love cocktails the apple crumble is a must-have; it was perfect every time! The decor is cool and gives a good vibe and the prices are so reasonable. I paid $13 for my cocktail when the going rate in Perth is at least $18 - $22. Super happy, we'll be back for sure!

So this was my second trip to Porkys, was very underwhelmed the first time but thought I would give it a second chance, rocked up around 8 on Friday Night, ordered some starters and some drinks, 1 hour later and the starters still hadn't arrived, asked several times how long away, only to be told they were on the way. Went to order mains only to be told they had run out of Pork? (WTF? Its a BBQ restaraunt, you had one job!) so fine the brisket sandwhich will have to suffice, was then told there was no sandwhich's as they had run out of bread, I mean really? Will not be giving a 3rd chance. Such a shame as has great promise in a great location.

Terrible service. Perhaps the worst I have experienced in Perth. We ordered some simple starters, they didn't arrive for over an hour. Meanwhile we ordered mains, only for them to inform us they had ran out of the simple staples making up all their main meals, and were short staffed. The starters were average. 3 pathetic, cold chicken wings, roasted potatoes that looked like they had been blasted in the oven for a few minutes and some stale, cold chips. It all came up again a couple of hours later, so I question if the chicken was cooked properly.<br/><br/>Never again.
QueenVT
Went with my partner and ordered brisket, chilli prawn pizza, chicken wings and home-made iced lemon tea. The best one of out of the 3 was the pizza. The brisket and chicken wings felt like they had dropped a bag of salt while cooking. Didn't seem like freshly cooked meat either - they were both quite dry. The home-made lemon iced tea was good!

I was so keen for this place but I feel like ribs & burgers is a million times better. The decor is kinda random, there's a mix of areas to eat in. The ribs were OK, they have some set meals to choose from which was a good idea. The bar looks very comprehensive. Kinda pricey so wouldn't really rush back.
AlwaysRoomForDessert
Been looking forward to coming here for a while now and being a big fan of American BBQ was pretty excited. Overall experience was average, the ribs had great smokey flavours but where very chewy which a lot of people have mentioned in there reviews, the pizza was good and so were the fries.Once we finished our meals I was keen to try the pecan pie and order another drink but the staff never came back to offer us the dessert menu, so we just left and went an had another drink elsewhere.

Checked this place out as have enjoyed texas style bbq in the past<br/>Overally im glad you can walk in and get this sort of food locally, I appreciate it takes time and effort to cook in the pit but its all pretty much made in advance and just dump it on the tray, so to me seems a fair bit overpriced <br/>Enjoyable but too pricey for regular visits

Unfortunately Perth is still lacking a good american smoke/BBQ house. I visited pokys with my partner this evening (both of us are well traveled and LOVE to eat) we ordered a meat plate, chicken wings, and fries. 1st of all the waiter brought everything together, although the wings were a starter. When the food eventually arrived the meat plate was cold, and when I say cold I mean as if it was just taken out the fridge, the fries were the same. Both I teams were returned and re made. The chicken wings came with a very runny, weak blue cheese dressing (definatley not the one pictured on their web site)...when the meat plate returned (nice and warm this time) the only dish worth eating was the brisket. The sausage was dry and salty, the ribs were dry and chewey and the shredded pork was average at best. The fries were enjoyable 2nd time round, but how do screw up fries!? At 75+$...for a meal for 2, this place needs to up its game. American food should be fast, reasonably priced and tasty...this, unfortunately was non of those things. Lesson learned, if you want good american BBQ...go to America.
Lifelovetravelfood
I wanted to love it, but I was disappointed. We went here as a group of four to celebrate two recent birthday's with the birthday girl and boy being big bbq and ribs fans. I like the bar area, good range of craft beers and the decor is also cool. We ordered ribs, beef brisket and the shared bbq platter. Food came out surprisingly quick but didn't taste as fresh as I'd hoped. <br/><br/>I quite liked the brisket but found the ribs very chewy and disappointing. The bbq sauce on the side was really good. All diners thought the food was ok. Not bad, but definitely not great. <br/><br/>Staff were polite and friendly but a little scarce at times. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it just meant we didn't order any more drinks which was a shame as I'd have liked to try the homemade iced tea. <br/><br/>I had high hopes for Porky's but left a little disappointed. I wouldn't hurry back.
Eat For Living
A surprise visit to the restaurant. Ambiance is great except music slightly too loud. Service staffs are fantastic. But food and bit way ward. Ribs are extremely dry. Chopped pork are pretty plain. Sausage and beef brisket are so so. Prices are reasonable.

Dirty fries.

Loved the fact that these guys took reservations for a Friday night. Managed to book a table for a group of us and we had tasty food, drinks and attentive customer service!

Wandered down to Porky's on a Sunday night. Been meaning to check the place out as it looks really cool when driving by. Service was quick and attentive. The drinks selection is made up of a good beer selection, aswell as cocktails and wine. The food had some highs and some lows. We ordered the meat platter, chicken wings, fries and mac & cheese. The highlights for me. Beef brisket and pork belly were super juicy and tender. Pork and fennel sausage was the winner of the night. Was incredibly satisfying. Mac and cheese was creamy and extremely cheesy, as it should be! Chicken wings nice and spicy had a good kick to them, also one wing is exactly that a wing. Where as most places half their wings. Thought that was cool. The lows, the ribs weren't very meaty they also were abit tough. The beef and chilli sausage was crazy dry like it had been left out for a long time. The smoke flavour was over powering and made everything taste similar after sometime dining. Overall wasn't to bad, afew tweaks and they'll be smashing it.
Jassinta Doe
Mr Doe and I visited Porky's BBQ last night with two other couples and had a reasonable enough dinner.<br/><br/>The premise is interesting, a character home which has been extended and had the bar portion built on to the front and fully enclosing what would have been the original verandah. We made a reservation a week in advance and unfortunately rather than being seated inside the restaurant itself (where there was ample available tables) we were seated outside on the original verandah which is fully open into the bar. As a result it was very noisy with a very rowdy group of guys in the bar even at only 6:30pm. Admittedly it is Northbridge but being to the back end of Northbridge and being a restaurant rather than just a bar we had hoped for a more relaxing dinner.<br/><br/>Food-wise around the table there was a range of food ordered from ribs, brisket and a variety of sides along with a couple of pizzas. Everything was eaten and no complaints heard other than the service so I assume it all tasted pretty reasonable.<br/><br/>I ordered a half rack of ribs plus a side salad of spinach, pear, feta and pecans. Mr Doe ordered a full rack of ribs, jalapeño bites and mac n cheese for us to share. We both agreed the ribs were good, not a huge amount of meat but great smokey flavour and the price point is excellent. The salad was nice and fresh, Mr Doe loved the jalapeño bites and the mac n cheese was decent and filling but I didn't like the raw onion in it, would be must better to precook and soften the onion before adding it to the sauce to give a better flavour and nicer consistency.<br/><br/>There was a pretty expansive selection of beers and Mr Doe enjoyed a couple Czech beers which he said were excellent, however, drinks service was painfully slooooow and overall service was very inattentive and not brilliant. Bonus is they happily did split billing which is great when you're dining with a group. Only regret is I wish I'd tried the pecan pie, probably wouldn't go back for that though.
Inexology
The meat tray was delivered really quickly to their table, the chef must have felt concerned about their wellbeing. The spicy beef sausage delivered quite a good kick while the pork sausage was quickly demolished. The shredded Angus beef was so tender and juicy, they were dreaming of it to be served together with rice. The tasty ribs were quite chewy despite the beautiful sticky smoky sauce.<br/><br/>Halfway through eating their meals, they craved a bowl of good carbs and put in an order for tasty Mac n' Cheese. One of them insisted that the meal should be shared between the two of them so that it could lessen the guilt that might creep in later. The Mac n’ Cheese was cheesy and buttery as what it should be!<br/><br/>There was something heartwarming about eating comfort food such as Mac n' Cheese late at night...
What Bek Ate
We checked this place out on their first weekend, unfortunately the service was really slow and it wasn't a busy evening, and the meat was really dry and lacking any flavour
Eating Brie
My sidekick is a massive fan of American food, particularly ribs. So when I saw that there was a new bbq place in Northbridge he was more than pleased with my suggestion to check it out. Out of all the food we ordered though the ribs were the disappointment. Dry, not a whole lot of meat, a bit overcooked and hard to split without a chainsaw.<br/><br/>On the other hand the beef brisket, quarter chicken and sides were awesome! I wish we had just got a whole tray of beef brisket because that was the winner of the dinner. <br/><br/>Might give it another go but not racing back.

First time ordering home delivery. The family was looking forward to trying the food. We waited almost 2 hours for the food to be delivered despite being advised the wait was 45 mins. We rang twice to follow up and were fobbed off. When the food finally arrived the ribs were small, cold and tasted like smoke oysters with the sauce spread all over the container as if it had been shaken or dropped. The chips were cold and the slaw was warm. Overall a very disappointing first and last try. Perhaps the dine in experience is better.
Josie Lorren
Had the meat sampler tray, with sides of chips and Mac and cheese. Service was great, food came out quite fast and the bill was a lot lower than expected. The decor looks amazing. I will definitely be returning.

Ms Foodie and I check out Porky's BBQ and Bar for a quick visit and to get our meatsweats awwwwnn. Disclaimer:  Unfortunately this review is a little stale, with Ms Foodie and I having visited Porky's a week or two after it opened, which is a while ago now.  As a result my memory is a bit hazy and I'm reliant on my notes.  Apologies if things are a little brief and/or vague!
