Great breakfast place with very nice food. Especially the rainbow bagel which is amazing.
So glad I discovered this café the other day! It’s really cute and the outdoor seating is perfect for those nice warm days. They make the best and cutest personalised lattes (even a pink red velvet one) and the yummiest fluffy ricotta pancakes topped with pink candyfloss that are deff a must! We also tried The Hulk and love the presentation + the Baked Hotpot was something else 😋😋
I absolutely love The Tiny Giant! Their designer lattes are adorable and actually taste great. I think they are perfect and super cute. Fast & polite service, I highly recommend The Tiny Giant.
Cute corner cafe close to Petersham station, place was a little small given how popular it is. Portions are reasonable given the price, pistachio pancakes and baked hotpot were pretty nice :) the fairy floss was an aesthetic touch but ended up hardening like gum lol
Really cute, friendly cafe with a chilled, casual brunch vibe. Cafe does designer logo coffee arts, which is super cool and you could also personalise your own design
Love this cafe, easily accessible from the nearby train station and plenty of street parking. Our food was really flavoursome and well presented, generous portion sizes as well. My favourite dish was the Ricotta pancakes served with fresh figs, blueberries and pashmak, which is a colourful Persian sweet, perfect photo op if you're a grammer!
We absolutely loved this cafe! The food was so delicious and the presentation was awesome! They also do funky coffee art and the decor is so pretty for photos. They also do designer coffees and red velvet lattes, so that is a huge plus!
Overall a very reliable cafe for a weekend brunch! Ive been here many many times and most of the food is very very good! My favourite is actually a takeaway deli item - the greek lamb wrap is amazing!
I really enjoyed the delicious brunch here with my sister. This is literally a tiny cafe with the giant portion for us.
All of the food are so delicious, especially the "Egg Benedict with smoked Salmon" and da "Famous Waffles" is our favourite!❤️
The famous waffles tasted so crispy and sweet! This plate was a wonderful combination of textures and sweet but fruity flavours. I definitely recommend you guys the Famous Waffles if you have a sweet tooth, and the size is much more than a share plate.🧡
Delicious dishes so many variety to choose from the menu .. great service friendly staff highly recommend a visit to this cosy cafe in Petersham!!!
Love this cafe with its colourful and delicious menu. Great place to bring the family. Definitely Instagram worthy! Can't wait to come back and try more on the menu!
Seriously one of my favourite cafes in Sydney. The food is insta-worthy and delicious. My favourite meal is the Ricotta pancakes, seriously the best pancakes I've had. Their caramel sauce is made from the GODS. The menu has the perfect mix of sweet, savoury and healthy. The staff were friendly and the cafe had an overall great atmosphere! Will definitely be back :)
Perfect family friendly spot. With my mini blogger trying out the rainbow! We absolutely love anything colourful and the tiny giant is all about great colour, detail and delicious food
I had wanted to try The Tiny Giant for the longest time. I don’t know why it took me so long as it’s in my hood. Good coffee, friendly staff and darn delicious food. I loved to baked eggs. Will definitely be going back! #bakedeggs #brunchinsydney #brunchgoals
Such a good brunch !!
If you’re looking for taste plus colour in your dishes , come here soon !
We were overloading with the indulgent drinks (a doughnut plus Nutella on top of your drink ? Yes please ! Look at the picture)
I tried to be healthy but also fun ! So I went for the salmon rainbow bagel 🥯
No regrets at all!!
I tried my friends burger too 🍔 and it was delicious ! definitely coming back ;)
Cute little corner cafe set in a great location in petersham. It is quaint and has a lot of character. Their coffee is delightful and their brioche is full of energy!
Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at the tiny giant!
The cronuts are a crowd favourite and I can see why! Especially injecting it with chocolate goodness 🤤 The breakfast bowl was spot on, nutritious, fresh and tasty, recommend if you’re brunching post workout to get the chicken on the side, nice hit of protein and really freaking good!
Service was quick, seating both inside and outside and serving campos coffee
The tiny giant ticked all of the boxes for me
Can’t wait to go again 👍🏽
Excellent food and service. Loved the atmosphere and vibes of this place as well! The presentation of the food is beautiful and it also tastes as good as it looks! 👌🏼 Highly recommend paying this place a visit. One of the best cafes in Sydney.
The Tiny Giant literally represents the name, a tiny cafe with a giant portion of meal! My friend and I are extremely amazed with all that we’ve ordered because everything is delightful! While they maintain the tastiness of the food, the looks are also beautiful!
tucked away in the lovely neighbourhood, the food and service was amazing! coffee served in a chocolate cone , prosciutto roll and so much more are just a part of their menu! everything was such a treat ; brunch done differently
Another one of the big guns in brunch that has always been on my Wishlist. It’s quite close to the Petersham station and easy to find. It’s a lot smaller than expected, but nevertheless good. Ordered that Salmon and Avocado Rainbow Bagel, my friend ordered the Banana and Caramel Rainbow Bagel. The texture of the Bagel was so good, and it was warm and doughy. Although I must say, the avocado and salmon taste itself is quite bland and underwhelming. Also does not look too much like what the pictures show. Still a good time though!
Great atmosphere, the food looks amazing though the taste is probably a bit less impressive.
We had the salmon and the brouchette as well as coffee.
The Tiny Giant is a cosy Petersham cafe, famous for its insta-famous colourful dishes. I have heard great things about this cafe and have visited twice, keen to try it out. Make sure you get here early because there is always a line. For our first visit, to start off with, we ordered the mango and green detox smoothies. These were nice and refreshing and not too sweet and you could taste the mixture of ingredients, as it was made fresh on the spot.
We went to TTG to try their new designer coffees, the latte arts were really impressive. All the dishes were beautifully presented
When I first saw the Willy Wonka Brioche Toast (just one of their amazing creations) on Instagram, I immediately knew that the girls would LOVE it! I knew that we would have to eventually drop by to check it out, so when we got there the girls and I were not disappointed!
It's a small busy little cafe located on a corner. There's a row of parking just opposite and it was relatively easy for us to wait for a spot to park the car. This worked out really well for us because it was raining quite constantly, so we only had to cross the road where we were able to stay under cover while waiting in line.
We were allocated the corner table and was able to squeeze our pram in between seats and tables into the corner *phew* - just a quick tip though; our pram is a Babyzen Yoyo+ which is quite small & compact, so if you have a larger prams maybe consider leaving it in the car as it may be difficult to manoeuvre once inside.
It's a very popular cafe obviously, so if you'd like to get a quickly table try coming earlier because it does get busy and there was a constant line of people waiting for a table. The staff were extremely friendly though and kept us updated while we were waiting for our table. They promptly took our order and checked-in with us throughout the meal to make sure everything was in order; the food also came out really quickly!
We ordered the famous brioche toast (obviously! haha), the famous Belgium waffles and the baked hotpot with chorizo. When the brioche toast and the Belgium waffles came out, the girls eyes LIT UP just like 'kids in a candy store'.
The brioche toast and Belgium waffles were served with strawberries, mixed berries, Canadian maple, salted caramel, mascarpone & Persian pashmak. The attention to detail and effort put onto the plates was simply just amazing - just check out the presentation in the photos below. They were the kind of dishes that sparked the "oohs-Ahhs" reactions from other customers in the restaurant, even though they were all ordering the same haha!
I'm actually a little disappointed because my photos don't do them any justice. It was raining and cloudy, so the sun was constantly in and out causing weird lighting. The photos aren't that great, so make sure you go and see these marvellous dishes for yourself!
After deciding to go on a busy ANZAC Day, I’m very impressed with the service, which was fast and prompt. Overall the food was okay. The Croque Madam was delicious and a must must if you get the chance to try it.
The brioche toast wasn’t as good as the hype that was built up behind it 😔, but still worth a try for the ‘recommended’.
Coffee was good as many love Campos.
The only down side I must say is the waiters themselves could be more cheerful and missing out on the Banoffee Bomb because no one told us about it was disappointing 😩.

For a platform that only emerged in 2010, Instagram sure has had a big effect on the way we eat. Bringing food firmly into the digital era, Instagram allows its 800-million+ users to carefully construct a curated digital identity. This phenomenon of “eating for the Insta” drives people to venues; and restaurants have answered the call by producing dishes that can favour digital (over literal) consumption. Cafes in particular have risen to this new way of eating, and The Tiny Giant in Petersham is an exemplar of this new breed. The Tiny Giant’s focus upon drool-worthy presentation has taken what would have been a locally focussed corner store café and made it into something with wider appeal. Photo documentation of dishes is (almost) a given, with the next table of young women wordlessly grabbing their phones in unison to capture their brimming burgers as they land.Rather than cursing millennials or bemoaning the loss of flavour, I grabbed a girlfriend with a sweet tooth, and ordered Our Famous Belgian Waffles ($18.90). Arriving under a pink mop of Paskmak, Iranian fairy floss, these thick...
This cafe is at the height of hipsterdom. Do it for the gram!!
Overall it does serve good food with pretty good service. The wait will be long but it’s worth it for the gram right?
The grammable sweet treats were such a temptation but we knew it would be more aesthetics than anything.
We ended up getting the croque madam and the pea smash parmesan both equally tasty! I believe both dishes were about $19 each so it does come with the hipster exploiting price tag #welcometosydney
Came here Saturday morning and it was already quite busy. Just as we sat down there was a line already forming at the door. There are tables inside and outside the cafe but inside its a lot more cramped. The menu isn't that big but the food seemed really aesthetically nice.
Pros: I ordered the baked hotpot with an iced latte and my friend ordered the salmon + avocado bagel and watermelon juice. The food overall is quite nice and very Instagram worthy. I liked their cafe decorations too. The staff are also very friendly.
Cons: However the waitress didn't give me a spoon with my latte and my friend said her juice wasn't cold. Also, other people who came later than us got their food first....but then again it was quite busy.
Overall I would come again and I recommend going to this cafe :)
If you haven’t visited The Tiny Giant in Petersham then you have to correct this dining omission ASAP. I recommend a weekday breakfast or get in as the place opens on the weekends. If you need your insta boosted be sure to order some of their porn food but don’t think because it’s colourfully gimmicky that it isn’t nuanced and fracking delicious!
Full review is now up on Spooning Australia
Love the place!!! Just like the name.. Tiny (cafe) Giant (Delicious Food) !!! The waitresses are so kind.. generous.. full of smile.. !!! I ordered Tiny Giant Burger and it was so GOOD!! The Rye Bun was soft, moist.. PERFECT!! Soy Cappuccino was good!! Creamy and strong!!!
Definitely will come back with my family!!

Awesome brunch spot!! Known for their bright, colourful and indulgent sweet meals, if you have a breakfast sweet tooth this is the place for you! We opted for savoury dishes, with the Prosciutto and Egg Roll ($10.90), Smashed Avo + 2 poached eggs ($15.90 + 6) and the Smoked Salmon ‘Over The Rainbow’ Bagel ($18.90).. prices are a little higher then average, but then again so is the meal presentation and selection of ingredients, and like my mum used to always say; “you get what you pay for”. Plus that rainbow bagel is hella photogenic from any angle, it’s a win win really. 🌈 🌟 🌈
Coffee and service was great. Love the fairy floss! I ordered the French roast and feel like the bread needed to be of a better quality, not your standard ‘wonder white’. Cute little cafe in a quiet location.
A very cute cafe with aesthetic food. The rainbow bagel looked really nice but unfortunately the bagel itself tasted a bit stale and dry. The baked hot pot tasted nice and flavourful though.
Such a cute little Cafe in Petersham ! Its a little too cosy when its peak time but enjoyed their chicken and pumpkin sandwich yummmo!!! 👅
This cafe near Petersham station is known for their very pretty dessert dishes with fairy floss on top. The rainbow bagel with the white fairy floss (only available with the berry option) looked spectacular but was on the dry side. The waffles with the pink fairy floss were also okay but I found them to be rather dry as well (not the crunchy waffles I usually prefer). I really liked the baked eggs which was really flavoursome and the side of chorizo made the dish even better. The coffee was great and the service staff were really friendly.
Heard about this place from a few people so had to try it out.
Service was fantastic. Very quick and attentive. I was a little bit undecided so the waitress recommended a plate for me. I loved what she had suggested.
Food was very well pretended and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back again ✅
Instagram famous café.
I ordered the Tiny Giant Burger and the food was pretty good 😋😋. The people who worked there weren't very welcoming, also didn't greet with a welcoming attitude. This café is conveniently located close to the station. It's also very popular, so get there early!
The coffee in the cone is so cute. 💖💖💖 Good food! I went after seeing all the posts from Instagram by accounts I follow. All the food looks really aesthetically pleasing and all the staff were really nice and friendly. They helped with recommendations. The atmosphere and music is nice. Easy to find parking (car park in the small lane next to the cafe) and close to the station if you are taking public transport.
Cool vibe, fun and delicious food, great coffee. Service was average, but it didn't matter! Will definitely go back for more Insta-worthy dishes.

This place is Insta-famous!
They began becoming known for their Brioche topped with fairyfloss!
Personally i love their coffee and their Tiny Giant Burger! 🍔 😋😍
Today I tried the Chicken salad and it was really fresh and delicious! (Would actually be amazing with a touch of mint)The Pea smash dish was also yum! It had this delicious cheese, prosciutto and peas which were really healthy and yum!
The freshly squeezed juices are great on those hot summer days!
And you can't go wrong with their breakky options 😙
A small gem just around the corner which is located pretty close to Petersham Station.
• I came here to try the famous Belgium Waffles which was aesthetically beautiful to look at! Totally worth it for the instaworthy photos. I almost didn't want to eat it. The dish overall was amazing but it pretty sweet, so I don't think I could have finished it on my own
• I also shared the Baked Hotpot which was cast-iron pan of goodness. It was a nice combination of savoury from the sweet tomatoes, which was complemented by slices of crunchy toast!! The only let down was that it is quite small, so it doesn't fill you up
• The hot chocolate was pretty, warming and delicious ☺️
• The Tiny Giant Burger was quite big, and was - according to my brother - delicious. He quite enjoyed it, and it was seemingly so because he didn't share
Ordered the baked hotpot and the eggs florentine. The baked hotpot was really nice, the tomato and the other filling were very well balanced. The eggs florentine was quite a dissapointment as it was very basic and nothing quite special about it.
I've been here a couple of times as I sometimes have to stop into Petersham for work. The coffee is always good and they use Campos beans and the service always friendly and efficient.
Their cronuts look amazing but are a bit too sweet for me. Their breakfasts are legit for both dine in and take away. This place is popular on the weekend so you may have to line up.
A great cafe with quirky eats. I especially enjoyed the nutella cronut and the coffee in a cone. It was really busy and people clearly enjoyed their food. The service was good and the staff were friendly too. Thanks for the tip on finding tasty cronuts The Next Rush.
Extremely satisfied from food to customer service - everything was great. We ordered the French toast, pulled pork burger and a cronut. The pulled pork was so well done and the sweet potato chips served with the burger was so crispy and fresh. The French toast was so good and unique; fairy floss was served on top of the toast. Definitely worth the trek to petersham for this cafe 👍🏻
10/10 for food and service. The drink and dish I received looked good and tasted good. The best Belgium waffles with fruit I've ever had with the lovely made hot chocolate. The staff were friendly and my order did not take long to arrive. Will definitely come back again
Thank you :)
Interesting cafe with very creative menu, you'd definitely find what to order as all the description looks very exciting. Well presented dishes and good coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating with some wait time but it's worth it

Came down to the Tiny Giant on a beautiful Saturday morning and it was fantastic! Great service, delicious food and a really chilled out atmosphere! We arrived at around 8.30 and I would definitely recommend heading down earlier rather than later- after about 9 it got REALLY busy and people were waiting for seats (with good reason though, I would have happily waited too). We had the "baked hotpot" which was an Italian homemade slow cooked tomato sugo, mushrooms, sauteed onion and two baked eggs (and I added chorizo and prosciutto too) which was perfectly cooked, the benedict (which was tasty and we swapped the ham for prosciutto) and also the waffles topped with pashmak (yummm!). Would recommend checking it out here if you are in the area :)
Casual cafe, small but the line went quick. Service was great! I tried the famous "rainbow bagel" with smoked salmon and avo and it was amazing. Well priced as well. Will definitely be back!
I was super excited to come here after hearing so many good reviews of this place, and seeing the picturesque images on instagram. The food was pretty decent but the actual cafe is TINY. We waited for 30 minutes before being seated and one of the waitresses seemed to not want to be there. One thing I want to see is happy staff who are energetic and excited to serve their customers.
Service wasn't excellent and our waffles took multiple requests before it came out. Moreover, I saw that the staff CONTINUALLY gave out the wrong order to the wrong table- is there no system that tells you which order goes to which people?
The overall experience could be improved vastly with greater service because it seemed a bit chaotic at times.
Campos coffee. Food is outstanding; presentation, taste, quality of ingredients and price.
I'd rate this as one of the best Cafe's in Sydney (my 2nd visit).
Cute little cafe in the quiet suburb of Petersham. Been on a list to visit for quite some time and didn't disappoint. Friendly service and lovely, affordable food.
At last Petersham is worth visiting again! What brought us here is not the famous Frango’s Charcoal Chicken but The Tiny Giant, a café minutes’ walk from the train station. Breakfast is served all day with favourites like smashed avocado, baked eggs, prosciutto and egg rolls, eggs benedict, muesli, muffins – all the droolworthy dishes on one menu. For those with a sweet tooth, the French toast topped with fairy floss is a spectacular feast for both the eye and the belly.
Nice food and lovely cafe decor. Situated on a street corner with sunshine from both sides. I ordered the brioche French toast with fairyfloss which was very nice and sweet. The toast was more like slightly grilled brioche bread. Slightly overpriced but I guess we pay for the aesthetic component too.
Tiny Giant is a fabulous cafe in Sydney's Inner West which is a buzz with hungry diners each weekend coming to try the latest craze they are offering. The service is lovely and super fast! Their chai latte is great with the added latte art makes your mornings happier. The latest Rainbow Bagel is definitely worth the while and if your after something extra sweet you can't go past the Waffles and Brioche French Toast.
It has always been a pleasure to dine here. Got in nice and early on the weekend and were promptly seated at the table. I thought I couldn't go past the berry bowl I had had earlier, however got attracted to the Bagel special, the over the rainbow berry bagel. This was truly satisfying and was refreshingly good.
Followed it up with the delicious coffee in a cone which was not one to disappoint. A winner all the way, this coffee served in a cone lined with thick dark chocolate is nothing short of paradise.
It was a yummy Sunday morning
You know what they say, good things come in small packages and The Tiny Giant is no exception. Yet what the cafe lacks in its physical size - there is nothing giant about it - it makes up for with its food. The breakfasts here aren't for the faint hearted, packing a giant punch whether it be with interesting flavours or in sheer size - so ladies and gents, be sure to bring your giant appetite!
Absolutely loved the cronut!! I saw a picture of the cronut on Instagram and sought it out when I went to Sydney for a conference - as fate would have it, I was staying in Camperdown (not too far off). Totally worth it! 😁
Tiny cafe but really great food. Came here for their famous french toast but also thoroughly enjoyed the baked eggs. We arrived a bit later in the afternoon so luckily didn't have to wait for a table.
We took the camera on a bit of a journey through Sydney's Inner West today, visiting the tiny cafe with a big heart which the locals are absolutely loving. We first found out about this cafe through Instagram, where our wall was blasted day after day with photos of their brioche or waffle combination, featuring a sweet serving of vibrant pink Persian pashmak. It looked incredible, so much that we just had to see what it tasted like for ourselves!
Great spot for brunch, as per recommendation by @clairemcpherson.cpm.
👉 BELGIUM WAFFLES [5/5]
AMAZING!!!!!! This was my favourite dish- with the perfect combination of textures! The chewiness of the warm waffle, mixed with the sticky salted caramel and topped with fruits and Persian fairy floss! Absolutely delicious and worth the hype- I cannot recommend this enough!
👉 CROQUE MADAM [4.5/5]
The truffle-infused egg was incredibly unique to taste, and accentuated the flavours of the sandwich. Definitely something to try if you're in the area!
👉 BAKED HOTPOT [3.5/5]
A great dish that you can't go wrong with. Would have loved a bit of spice/extra kick to it!
I really enjoyed this place. I ordered the pea Parmesan smash which was delicious, it had good quality prosciutto and a generous amount of it. It also had the most delicious cheese, kind of like a buffalo mozzarella but I can't recall the name of it! Serving sizes are decent. The pulled pork bun was nice but the meat was just a little chewy, still very enjoyable though. I would probably order the same thing if I came again. My father ordered the crab roll special, he said he was disappointed with the size but seemed to enjoy it! Will return.
Poor service and bog standard cafe menu. Nothing exciting that you won't find anywhere else.
Had to fetch our own menus and it was an inconvenience when asked to put the blind down on a sunny day.
The place is small and busy and there are plenty of staff, but clearly they can't be bothered being there.
Won't bother going back, plenty of other places to try in the Inner West and beyond.
There's nothing like a #baconandegg burger on a Saturday morning🍳🥓🍞but if you feel like shaking it up this weekend, try this Italian version with prosciutto.. bellissimo!👌🏻
This place makes a hella good Brioche French Toast. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and wasn't overly sickening like some French Toast I've had in the past! The Brioche itself is moist and what won me over was the incredible Salted Caramel Sauce which next time, I'll be asking for double the amount because it's just that damn good! Staff were friendly, venue is small so a seat may be difficult to come by however, we got seated quickly. Found my little gem to go to before Marrickville Markets it seems!
You know it's going to be a good food experience when you have to wait in line for a table! Once seated we had super quick service and the best smashed avo and French toast ever. It really does look like the Instagram posts. Super stoked!
Love this place. I remember when it use to be the grumpy barista with their popular cronuts. The menu is fresh and I can't believe the quality of the food coming from their tiny kitchen behind the counter! I highly recommend the croque monsier and the pretty French toast.
Lovely place with great coffee. There was a brief wait for a table, and once inside its a bit of a tight squeeze, but wouldn't put me off going back :)
All the food looks great. I had the avo toast, which was delicious.
We loved The Tiny Giant ! We felt welcomed walking in and the staff as lovely. We ordered a few dishes to try and the flavour of each dish was delicious. They have the option to custom your latte and we of course had to put our Boss Lady logo onto it and it came out amazing ! Our favourite dish by far has to be the biscoff pancakes. We can't wait to come back again xx
Went here because we live nearby and actually enjoyed it. Love their red velvet latte. Pretty place and yummy foods. It gets so busy on the weekend so we usually go on the weekday when we have off day.

As per the sign we were told to stop and wait to be seated, after waiting 5 mins, i found a table and asked umm can we sit here? Not a great start. I visited this place for cronuts when it used to be the Grumpy Barista.
The inside is tiny and a bit claustrophobic so we decided to sit outside. This place never seems to be overly busy which I’m surprised, because its a bit of a hidden gem. The tables even outside are quiet close together.
Service was fast and friendly, they provide blankets in the colder days which is nice. The food is very pretty, and the menu is quite extensive, plenty to choose from! Lunch menu looked great also.
Eggs Florentine
Very nice cute cafe with outdoor seating and dogs allowed outside. Yummy coffee and I ate a lovely toasted ham and cheese croissant. I didn't have to wait long even though it was getting busy when I was there.
Nice food although the size of the dish was a bit small for the prize. The juice was lovely too. Service was also good and the place is dog friendly.
Loved this breakfast! Super cute place, a must see!
Brioche toast with mixed berries, Canadian maple, salted caramel, Mascarpone & Persian pashmak! I saw this and just had to give it a go. The flavours all complemented each other with a great balance. Not overly sweet and the mascarpone was a great touch.
I would definitely come back for this! The other things on their menu looked amazing also!
