My husband (a member of Geelong Cats and one-eyed supporter) and I had lunch at the Brook today. This was not our first visit but as usual, we were greeted warmly by the staff. The wine was good the pasta both vegetarian and marinara was delicious as was the banana concoction and the Brule. though the Brule may have been enhanced with cream or ice cream.
Staff are respectful and friendly the place is clean and the food at all times something to enjoy. I would not hesitate to recommend The Brook Well done guys and gals
We are from out of town visiting friends, & wanted a casual night out, so our friends brought us here & we were really happy with everything, nice casual family restaurant, the meals were yummy, didnt have to wait long, granted it was sunday night, not over priced at all. Katrina our waitress was great, very friendly, accommodating & nothing was an issue for her. We will definitely be back when we visit again. & dont forget to look us up when you come up Katrina!
I haven't been to The Brook in a couple of years because of a terrible experience but yesterday I was driving past and went in for lunch and I was very surprised:) The place looks great now and the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was soooo good:)
Highly recommend eating here, we are here for the first time last night and my son is Coeliac and they catered wonderfully he had steak and chips. They have a separate fryer for Gluten Free Fries. So much on the menu my son can have will be going back for sure.
Our risotto meal was lovely and our waitress Emily Thorpe is the best always accommodating and friendly
Came here first time
Few months back, had the flounder special and came in a set. Very filling and satisfying. Taste was on point, place itself was very cosy and great for families and kids, awesome ambiance and would definitely return. Great value😊

Really impressed with the Brook. This local place was once a dive which was not inviting at all. It seems new management have taken over and really lifted this place to one of the top in the area. We initially attended the function space for a funeral wake and were very pleased. The family’s wishes and style were executed in a very tasteful way, the food was in abundance and bar staff were accommodating. After the wake, a group of us moved into ‘The Food Room’ for dinner. Equally as impressed with the changes to the restaurant, meals were fresh, hot and delicious. Nice sized menu without too many options. We enjoyed Espresso martinis after dinner which were smooth and delicious. After dinner we went to the sports bar, live music and a big crowd. Didn’t stay too long but if you’re in the mood for drinks and music, I’d definitely spend some time here. Definitely will be back and recommend all locals give it a go!
Myself and my wife just spent a very pleasent evening at The Brook. The service was excellent, and the food was tasty and delivered to our table promptly after we ordered. However the highlight of our evening was our host, Claire. Talk about making one feel at home. This was our first time here, but most definitely, will not be our last.
Came here with friends for drinks, didn’t get to eat anything but I would definitely come here again for either lunch or dinner because I liked the coffee and the environment. Very nice seating and friendly staff
Really great place , food was ample serves and tasty , attentive service friendly staff ,nice decor , only lost .5 star due to needs a bit more variety on menu !

Love the REVAMP! Great menu - surprised by the offering of crocodile sausage, kangaroo and wallaby! Amazing crispy chips to go with my TBone steak. Fresh seafood was evident in the surf. Excellent espresso martinis and great service. Will be back
Older reviews for this restaurant can probably be deemed redundant after the entire restaurant was moved, redesigned and revamped with a completely new room, design and menu. It's still located within 'The Brook' however the restaurant goes by 'The Food Room'.
I have to say my initial impressions after the revamp were extremely positive, the atmosphere is quite cosy, with booth areas for groups and low dimmed lighting. It makes for a relaxing social dining environment suited for families with kids with a new playground outside, there are also larger tables towards the back. Staff are very attentive, friendly and talkative which is great to see.
Food wise I'm also very impressed, the new menu has a massive variety of meals, including tapas which is great if you aren't hungry enough to tackle one of their steaks and parmas. Personally, I've tried the Bulgogi bento box (which unfortunately seems to have been taken off the menu) as well as the Crumbed Calamari, Â Vegetarian Gyoza and Chicken Drumette tapas. I enjoyed these a lot more than the Wagyu Beef Burger which didn't exceed my expectations and was fairly average.
Overall for a local restaurant I recommend this to to groups of moderate size and families who all enjoy good food in a modern industrial interior atmosphere.
Great service, really cool decor and well designed environment. Large play area within sight but away from meals so isn't noisy or intrusive.
Huge variety of tapas, meals and desserts.
Started with saganaki, bruschetta and calalmari. All fabulous.
For mains we had the crocodile sausage which came drenched in a smoked BBQ sauce and a tender kangaroo fillet with an incredible mash accompaniment. The fillet was amazing, the sausage was really good but I feel it would be better with the addition of some green veggies to break through the sauce.
Service was fabulous-friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend to families for the play area and for anyone else that enjoys good food!
Table service works well and efficient. The Chicken Kiev was a little burnt but still worth it and would be happy to recommend this place to friends.
Fantastic staff, friendly lively and good sense of humour. Our meals, chicken kiev
(with extra large chunk of garlic butter on top as well), and California Burger, were absolutely delicious.
The atsmosphere is great, and the chairs are very comfortable.
Since our last visit, some time ago, (which was also a good night), Â there is now table service for ordering meals and drinks (it is still possible to buy drinks at the bar), and you just pay at the register on your way out. That works very well.
Thanks guys, we will be back again very soon.

We went to the Brook for dinner on a Thursday night. The steak night special for approx $20 was great, very nice steak and accompaniments. The service was fantastic, we were seated quickly and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the brook, family friendly (children's playground is very dark in the evening with not much lighting outside).
Wife and I had a great dinner. Impressed.
Food was ok. Food was okay the only annoying thing is we have to scan our id when we get in
Very enjoyable. Went to the Brook approximately a week ago. I haven't been there for a couple of years. I'm glad we returned. The staff neatly dressed, friendly and very helpful. Our meals were great! I had the Porterhouse steak and it was cooked exactly as I like it and was very tender. My partner had the fish and said it was delightful, not oily as sometimes happens at other venues. Value for money.
Amazing food! The service was excellent too. The ambience is not fab but its typical of rsl style eating which is fine. Loved it!
A hidden gem ! My family and I after our recent move to point cook decided to check out the low key bar/bistro The brook on sneydes and what an experience . We were greeted with a warm welcome and a smile and were shown to our table , we went on a Wednesday night which is burger night . After looking through the wide menu I decided to have the Morrocan burger while my mum and sister decided to have the California burger and my brother ordered the chicken parmagiana with a garlic bread on the side as an entree. The entree was served promptly and was perfectly cooked and crispy the garlic bread was perfect . Not long after the entree was cleared and we had our drinks our mains were out , all of them were hot and tasty and generous servings . The Morrocan burger was absolutely delicious with such fragrant and beautiful flavours ! I would definately recommend to everyone . The brook definately impressed all round !

Family venue excellence. The Brook on Sneydes is one of the best family venues in the Western Suburbs – and the changes it is making are all for the better.
The bistro is boasting a brand new menu – with some great restaurant style dishes making an appearance. My personal favourite is the Asian barbecue pork with twice cooked pork belly for only $26.50 which is an absolute steal! My other favourite is the chicken saltimbocca which is flavoursome and has a perfectly grilled fresh chicken breast!
The sports bar now has a larger variety of meals to choose from and the famous Friday steak sandwich is now available all week long.
It’s also proving a winner for the family with a change in position for the kids’ outdoor play area door now positioned in the kids’ room to avoid blustery experiences for its diners. Congratulations to The Brook for all of the fantastic changes and keep up the good work.
Great food, great service. I dine at The Brook quite regularly and it is one of my favourite restaurants to visit. During my last visit over the weekend I had one of the chef specials the prawn fettuccine. It was one of the best pasta dishes I have had in quite some time. The open-plan bistro has a lovely and welcoming environment with friendly staff and the venue has fantastic and modern facilities including indoor and outdoor kids play areas. Some of my favourite dishes include the chicken kiev and penne di casa. The Brook is fantastic value for money and I will keep visiting this wonderful complex.
Change is good!. Been having Sunday roast here for a while now, because it's just too convenient ( walking distance to our place)
Anyway, it is really getting boring when you serve lamb roast Sunday after Sunday after Sunday! How about carvery sometime ? Maybe it's time to review your menu ?
Staffs are good though!
I've been to the brook many times and have never had a bad experience. Food is always fresh and priced fairly. Steak and mushroom sauce is beautiful , highly recommended
I like the brook for what it is. A local pub/tab/gaming drinking hole but it is slightly over priced as are quite a few venues in the area. Just because the land in Pt Cook is escalating doesn't mean the people living here are wealthy, price yourself better and secure the patrons now before more venues pop up and it's too late. Also take a serious look at your staff. All reviews comment on how poor they are, change it up, they need a kick in the backside to wake them up !!
Recently went here on a Saturday night after reading a few reviews. Quite a few people there showing that it was reasonably popular. Good for families. Staff was friendly and the service was reasonably quick. Reasonable menu without being too expensive. The only thing would be to update the menu on the website to what is currently being offered at the restaurant. As the online version had more options but was told by a staff member (after showing her), that it may of being changed. Overall, was happy with my overall experience and will go again.
