Review Fins 'n' Fries - Point Lookout

Quick review: Amazing! Fresh! And good Value Recommend! Give it a shot! We got 2x $12 special packs, and surprised to say it’s been the best thing we have had on the island, and at the best value here. 1 piece of cod (yum) and 3 calamari with chips the perfect size for 1. We really weren’t sure if we were going to go after some of the reviews we saw but let me tell you the 2 young ladies were lovely and polite and well the food was some of the best fish and. Chips we ever had. Monday lunch on the beach was perfect. Sorry about the half eating photo but it was to yum to stop

The best fish and chips we have had in a long time. We tried the crumbed snapper, cod, calamari and chips - everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Over priced for the quality and quantity. Being on an Island I expected to pay a little more, but double the price of my local fish n chip shop. Quality was lacking Snapper small and over cooked, potato scallops under cooked, Calamari average chip lacked salt An underwelming experience

We always have fish N chips after snorkelling, it has become a family tradition, lol. Tried few on the island, this is the best in terms of taste & money value. Bonus is it's less than 5mins drive from the shop to the Point Lookout.

Simply the best brekkie burgers Ive ever had & I know my way around a burger. Clean fresh value for money plenty of parking even for trailers

Second time I’ve been here & asked if I could have my chips crunchy, but was once again told they were too busy/understaffed to do so & that it would just depend on how they come out. There was only three orders before ours, & our order was served within ten minutes; in my eyes, that isn’t too busy to spend an extra minute on the chips. We ordered a battered flathead & chips, but didn’t check our order before leaving - the girl at the counter had taken it incorrectly and we ended up with crumbed cod, calamari & chips. Even though the chips were a bit stale, the calamari was great & the crumbed cod was okay. None of the staff were wearing face masks, either.

Food is always great here, but service is a 2 star. If they would only listen and key it on the register correctly it would make a Big difference. Never complain as they are never wrong SHAME so Disappointing staff blame us for their mistake

Hamburger at premium price for McDonald's quality. Meat pattie is thinner than a $2 cheeseburger Chips so over cooked you could use them as railway sleepers. Holiday makers, spend your money elsewhere

Hidden behind Foodworks, this little fish and chip shop gets it right. Well cooked fish, crisp and tasty chips, prepared super quick.<br/><br/>Staff could be a tad friendlier and prices are a touch high but all in all, a great place to get your fish and chip fix.

It’s a fish and chip shop on an island. Good fresh produce cooked well and served nicely. No aspect to speak of but there are a few tables in the footpath. Quite ok

Yum delicious crumbed snapper. It's best to phone order ahead incase it's really busy. The family chips is pretty big but will set you back $10. The fish burger is good because it has beetroot on it ;)

Very nice fish and chips,  good quality fish and fairly reasonable prices. Definitely one of the more affordable family friendly places on the island to get dinner! This is a great place if you're after no frills take away classic fish and chips with a great taste. Would definitely eat here again!

Fins n' Fries now has new owners. We took over on June 1st 2016. Come in and try our fresh local cooked fish. Very tasty and fresh. We also offer a wide variety of burgers including the locals favourites. Or just grad a quick snack. There are also fish and chip combo's for 1, 2 or family packs to choose from.

Fish and Chips. Have been to this takeaway a number of times over the past few years. While I think fish and chips should be a cheap family meal this place is no more expensive than any other. Always happy with the quality and quantity in the family pack.

Quite possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had... Soggy chips, chewy fish, undercooked dim sims and it was expensive... Tried to feed it to my dogs and even they weren't interested.
