I booked Hunters Quarter for our wedding anniversary. To say that it was special is an understatement as this place exceeded our expectations. From the attentive service to the impeccable food everything about Hunters Quarter is top notch. Beautiful views of the vineyard even at night time. Highly recommend here for those special people in your life that you feel deserve the best. A++
Absolutely stunning . From the beautiful restaurant layout overlooking the dam and vines to the comfy seating.We had the chefs degustation menu and wine match .Every wine bought out the characteristic of the food . Now the food what can I say but amazing . Freshest products and tastiest food . Service was great . The girls are super friendly and great service . Thanks heaps to the chefs as well,top job
My wife and I visited Hunters Quarter (on her recommendation after a previous visit) last Friday night for our fifth wedding anniversary. It truly was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The courses were exceptional from the oysters through to the desserts. The beef was one of the finest cuts I have eaten - and I know my beef.
Please do yourself a favour if you are in the area, dine at this place. The chef (have not met him) surely must be proud of what he has achieved.
We went without booking and when we had arrived, it was clear that there was a wedding in progress!
In case there was a separate section, I called the restaurant and Jenny came out to see us. Although there wasn’t actually another section for us to have dinner in, she offered my partner and I a table in the middle of the vineyard! Literally right there in the middle of the vines!
It was so beautiful with candles and wine and an amazing selection of meat, seafood, vegetables, salad, and of course dessert! Even the broccoli was just amazing! The food was all locally sourced and so delicious!
All of the staff were so kind and helped with anything that we asked for! They even brought out their dog for us to play with!
I would recommend this to everyone - Jenny is happy for us to recommend a vineyard table - just ask!
We went to the Hunter Valley for the long weekend travelling from Sydney and were lucky enough to have dinner here on the Sunday night. The meal was exceptional and everyone rated it a 10 out of 10 we then followed it off with the passionfruit soufflé which was to die for.
This was our 2nd time here and even more memorable than the first!! Ambiance, service, food, wine were all perfect and can't be faulted. We will definitely be back in a couple of months.

Dined at Hunters Monday night and both my fiancé and I are still in the most wonderful food coma ever. Every dish was amazing, perfectly seasoned that we never even looked for the salt/pepper. Brian is a magician in the kitchen and the Jen and her team make a night out so memorable. Having been in the hospitality industry in Sydney, the Hunters Quarters set the bar to a new level. A 3 hatted chef cooking insanely great food in a beautiful location is a must for anyone visiting the Hunter Valley. The night was so good we have booked our wedding here in April 2018...try and save room for the dessert..wowee!!!
We celebrated our wedding in early April and Hunters Quarter were fantastic. Nothing was a problem, communication was brilliant, staff were incredibly professional and they delivered on our vision perfectly. Service was amazing on the night, food was phenomenal - all of our guests could not speak highly enough about the food. The night was simply picturesque, and we highly recommend Hunters Quarter as a venue for your special day/night. Special mention to Emma, the most organised and personable wedding coordinator ever!
Booked a team lunch here for 20 people. Emma was extremely helpful during the booking process. The food was fantastic and the staff were professional and friendly. The lunch went off without a hitch!! Would highly recommend it. I will be going back!

Some of the best food I have ever eaten, head chef himself came to our table to greet us and ask how everything was with our food, we had set menu with our valentines day booking, and were happy to make changes due to my seafood allergy, the meat we had on our mains literally fell apart like you would not believe, will definitely be back for our special occasions thank you so much to the chefs and waitresses that worked on valentines day you guys are super stars
My fiancée and I had the pleasure of dining here in preperation for our wedding at HQ in 3 months. The food was beyond exceptional and the service and wine was equally as good.
The scallops as an entrée was the BEST I've ever had and was bursting with flavours! My partner had the vegetarian entrée which she absolutely loved.
We shared the barramundi and pork loins for our mains. The barra was like no other! It just fell apart and the flavors used in it matched perfectly. The pork loin was the most beautiful cut of pork you could imagine and having the finest little trimmings of crackle on the dish gave every bite that unique texture and class.
Dessert was also top notch and when you are enjoying a glass (or two!) of the Cockfighters Ghost Pinot Noir then you know you have had the complete night!
Couldn't fault at all and can't wait until we host our wedding at HQ. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hunters Quarter was the best way to kick off a honeymoon! As my wife and I finished desert, we both agreed this is one of the best meals we have ever had. I have been to numerous Michelin star restaurants and this place deserves a nomination. The food, wine, and service were impeccable. Thank you very much for an incredible time!
Best meal we’ve had in Hunter Valley!! All dishes taste great and especially the seafood entrees/mains, and desserts which are not overly sweet and very well balanced. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
Called in on a Saturday whim, Wonderful venue with some great tasting menus. The host was just perfect and knowledgeable with a good sense of humour and able to have a laugh.. Highly Recommended and being a local in Newcastle I’ll be back for a mid week lazy lunch Ona day off.
Always amazing food and service every time we come here! Probably my favourite restaurant in all of the Hunter valley. Please keep the cured duck ham entree on your menu forever!!!! Yummo! Keep up the amazing work guys!!! A++++++++++
The chef here is 10/10. The food was mouth watering, full of flavour and eveything was spectacular. We had the trufffle mushrooms, scallops, fish, pork belly and lamb. Great service and very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend if you're in hunter valley! You won't won't disappointed.
