Beautiful setting and ambience. Staff were extremely friendly, attentive, passionate and knowledgable about the food and wine they were serving. Myself and 2 friends had the 7 course degustation menu on a Saturday night, every single dish was on point, favourite being the wagyu steak. Melt in your mouth tender! Serving sizes left us full and satisfied however it would have been nice to be offered tea or coffee/petit fours at the end of the meal. Will definitely be back and recommend friends and family.

The best restaurant we’ve been too since we’ve been in the Huntervalley. The food was excellent and well presented with a very knowledgeable staff. The entire experience was excellent Koey and Andrea were excellent!! We definitely highly recommend Circa over Britannia as I definitely would not consider them fine dining.

We just celebrated our daughter's wedding on the 23/9 and from the time we arrived until the evening ended I was totally impressed with not just the amazing venue but the most wonderful caring and accommodating staff where nothing was an effort. All the staff were incredible and everything was was done promptly, professionally and always with a warm and friendly smile, not to mention the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend that it is a place to visit on your next visit to the Hunter Valley or if planning a future wedding. Many Thanks to all the staff at Circa who looked after us.

Greeted by an amazing sight of beauty at the front of house and the amazing old part of the building. The staff greet you with such an amazing friendly manner, you feel instantly at home. The meal was beyond perfection and each course was so beautiful and amazing. Waiter and waitresses are some of the best we have come across and so lovely. The place itself is beyond word so gorgeous. Thank you a beautiful night.

A beautiful setting with magnificent food. We had the 5 course chef's menu paired with matching wines at $180 pp. Everything was truly exceptional and memorable, including the amuse bouches, but if the degustation is outside your budget, the Cherry Glazed Duck Breast was the pick of the menu. So impressed by the pairings that we went back the following day to the Peppertree cellar door and bought two of the wines from the dinner.

Loved it!! We were there for a 60th birthday lunch and it was just perfect. The thing I loved most (apart from the food and the setting), was that we were not rushed - like so many fine dining restaurants are these days. The staff were attentive, knowledgable and served us at our pace. If there was any room for improvement, it would be that I felt my lamb rump was slightly over poked and wasn't particularly hot. But it wouldn't stop us from returning. A special thanks for the complimentary "happy birthday" Pte dessert dessert!

Hands down the best restaurant in the Hunter Valley. Had an amazing experience here for Saturday lunch. The staff are fabulous, very professional and helpful, and very attentive. We had some flies around the table by the end of our sitting as it was a hot day and fully booked. When the waiter came to take our order for dessert I casually joked about the flies, and he thoughtfully suggested we move to the private cottage room for dessert. This was wonderful, as we enjoyed our desserts in our own private little room, which is the original convent house and decorated with antiques. Thank you to all the staff here for making our lunch so special!

Loved it so much. Every mouthful of our 3 courses was a delicious sensational delight. Will be back for birthdays hopefully. The service was so good and really went out of there way to accomodate dietary sensitivities. It's all reasonably priced and in a beautiful setting.

Nice atmosphere with a lovely backyard and internal settings. Food comes with very generous portion and decent taste. The main dishes are a little underwhelming in terms of flavour when comparing to entrees and I would recommend sorbet for dessert - very refreshing!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The location and old building is the first thing to appreciate, try to be early so you can meander around. Next is staff, very relaxed and happy to help with anything. Finally the food is exceptional, every detail looked perfect and tasted even better. If you're going to the Hunter Valley for a special occasion, you might regret not visiting Circa.

Set in an amazing old homestead, Circa 1876 is a must do in the Hunter. We were surprised to see it was a 3 course menu as we knew this would be way to much food for us. I don't know if this is the norm but we were blown away with each course served. Plus the surprise inter dishes between courses are a real treat. Also, I can't say enough about the staff, polite, friendly and efficient without the stiffness a restaurant of this quality would demand. Made for a very pleasent dining experience. Overall well worth the money.

Very nice setting for a long lunch. Service was fantastic and the food and drinks were even better. Interesting to take a wonder around the building and check out the gardens as well as explorer the old shack to see how we used to live.

Beautiful vintage setting in a winery - food was amazing, though I'm not sure about the price because our dinner was sponsored by the office (corporate retreat). My 3-course dinner included seared scallops, salmon and a chocolate dessert (the clear winner!) which were all scrumptious. Definitely worth a visit!
