Magnificent coffee. So much so that everyone at my table ordered two. Food was lovely, well presented and tasty. Venue is quite small which made it very noisy when full. Service was friendly. Would recommend.
Had the pleasure of visiting here with my Dutch mum, my 2 sisters, my 2 year old and my 5 month old twin nieces. Considering our stuff accidentally exploded and almost took over the entire back room, staff were attentive, helpful, friendly and hospitable. Coffees were delicious (especially with a warmed stroopwafel on top!) as were the meals. I ordered Tom's worst (Dutch sausage) and it didn't disappoint- definitely hit the Dutch food craving spot. If you're Dutch, it's an extra special treat, if you're not, it's still well worth the visit! Will go back to try to stroopwafel spiced French toast. YUM!
The smell of brewing coffee and breakfast drew us in. Mid morning and we were ravenous. We dared not walk past for fear of missing out on what could be. Popped in and scoured the menu. Ordered coffees and breakfast. A toasted bacon cheese and avocado sandwich and for my better half a hotdog with sauerkraut. Service was amazing. Super friendly waiter and service was swift. GREAT coffee. Hotdog delicious. Tick. Tick. Tick.
Here’s the But!
Toastie was SOO disappointing! For the price (it was dear), it was like one I could make at home. Hardly any bacon and tasteless. It was served with a few stale tasting potato chips! Disappointed, confused and deeply unsatisfying.
Will go back for the coffee and great service. Hold the sangers.
Good coffee, friendly service. Nice food - corn fritters - and nice ambience. Would recommend and go again. The menu is a little limited but we enjoyed our breakfast here.
This place is buzzing with more and more people who discover its the best coffee in Adelaide and keep coming back. This a place built on the quality of their coffee and speedy unpretentious service. Full marks.
Can't comment on the food but the coffee is pretty good and the latte art perfect! I always have high hopes for places that boast coffee in their title but I wouldn't call it the best I've ever had.
The Dutch Coffee Lab has the BEST coffee in Adelaide! The pies and cakes are also very good and service is always with a smile! I love this place!
By far the best coffee in Adelaide. I am now a regular.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Foods always been tasty and very satisfying.
The decor is stimulating for the eyes and it has a really comfortable feel... Just want to sit and chill all day.
Thanks guys of the Dutch Coffee Lab.
Good strong coffee... I had one and my face felt all tingly when I left from the caffeine hit! Don't like the fact that they only offer coconut sugar (or some hipster thing like that). The butter slice/cake was delicious and I'd come back just for that.
So far the best coffee I have had in Adelaide.
I haven't tried the food here, but will definitely come and give it a go.
Thumbs up from me.
Awesome coffee in the Port. They roast their own coffee in this funky little cafe! If you are in the Port and want good coffee this is the place to go!! The rustic setting and always friendly service is what gives this place a bit character.. Highly recommend coming here!!
Dutch Coffee Lab (DCL) offers very decent coffee in the Port Adelaide area. It was a recent exploration but having been twice now I've been impressed with the coffee (flat white) served; smooth, consistent and the correct amount of milk foam.
The symbolic yellow couch out the front seems to often be occupied by regular customers and the broad footpath tables are friendly to those accompanied by furry, four legged companions. The downside to sitting outside is the busy, noisy and frequent truck noise of St Vincent Street.
Despite other reviews suggesting frumpy or gruff service, I have yet to experience this. Service was a little slow this morning as the barista favoured takeaway orders; they seemed to get a brisk service. Judging by the frequency of those happily walking out with trays of coffee, DCL seems to be a go to caffeine fix for other traders in the area.
DCL has a room at the back of the premises that is enhanced by some local photographic art works. It actually looks like it would be a cosy spot for a coffee with friends in colder weather.
The same lovely experience as others, fantastic coffee & a VERY nice little gem!
Friendly chaps and great coffee! Would have loved a view at the back seating area though. Nice experience 🙂🙂
Nice narrow Dutch themed cafe near the centre of Port Adelaide. Great quality coffee with a range of snacks including a Dutch food menu. Didn't try any of the food but the Uitsmijter sounds delicious.
Great coffee (small latte) and tasty toasties (#2 ham, cheese, pickle and honey mustard)
Great little cafe, really loved their gourmet toastie with bacon, egg, avocado and cheese it was delicious.
Coffee was great too!
Friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent coffee, yum toastie, I had beacon, advo, egg and cheese and it was awesome. Real crispy streaky beacon not that fatty stuff most cafes use. Even some nice home made Dutch deserts highly recommend
