Visited 18/5/17 Have had many a meal at the hendon (my local) and this was the first time I've been disappointed and unhappy...firstly i ordered the rump steak got told 15 minutes later theyd run out of rump this was at 6.30 and there was only a couple of tables in the restaurant so how do u run out of a main just half hour into the dinner rush on a Thursday? So i picked the t bone wasn't happy with that either i asked for medium well looked like it had been slapped on the hot plate a minute a side and just warmed up had no colour or charing the fat on the t bone was raw...i ate cause i was hungry and others in our group were still waiting for their meal so didn't want to hold their food up not as many chips as passed visits my son's snitz parmy was burnt and abit dry, my daughters meal was ok...was left hungry still after my meal..and to top it off got charged two different prices for the same drink half an hour apart between 6 & 6.30.. Yes we were a group of 15/16 but was booked over a week before if kitchen can't handle a group that big put on extra staff i was not the only one in our booking that wasn't happy, your main meals seem to have been down sized I've always left being full... Not last night .. On the upside bar and wait staff were helpful polite and friendly

Sadly i ordered the pork sausages with mash & gravy, the sausages were over cooked beef snags, with the advise from the waitress that there is no plain gravy!!!!!! Wtf, no plain gravy. In the end my mushroom gravy was the best thing on my plate....ice cold veg (i think they got these at lunch) lumpy mash (not the trendy version) this tasted like deb instant mash, & over cooked bangers. Then my poor hubby tried to order chicken mingion only to be told after we waited 10 mins they ran out...... the chicken pesto he then ordered looked ok, only to slice into the fatter section & it was not cooked all the way through, with the chips being the best thing on the plate. RUN....RUN a mile & never go in, with the inattentive staff & disgusting food this is a bad pub

Myself and my family stayed here for the Adelaide 500 last weekend and we were very impressed. The rooms were clean, modern fixtures, comfortable beds and they rooms were serviced every day which was great. The only thing that we found wasn’t great was the water pressure. The hot water was amazing, just the pressure but that’s nitpicking. The staff were super friendly and the bistro was amazing; great food at fantastic prices! Though, add a Parma! I was disappointed there was no Parmas as I love them! Thanks guys! You made our first trip to Adelaide very comfortable! I’d definitely stay here again and recommend you to friends!

Hubby and I stayed over night . hubby had the 6. 90 snitzel which looked beautiful and for a big eater he wasn't disappointed. I had the seafood trio omg so yummy and big sized. The room was lovely and cool when we entered very clean and couldn't fault for the price of room and meals I'll be definately staying again

We hadn't been to the Hendon Hotel for about 20 years and decided to go back and give it a try. We found the Staff very friendly and helpful and the food was exceptional! We also were pleasantly surprised by the prices and have told Family and Friends how wonderful our lunch on Friday was. Plenty of parking and our meal was quickly presented after ordering. 10 out of 10. :)

We stayed one night booked the family room. Great staff great prices. Will definitely stay again.

Our local pub (from work) Nice meals, fantastic pricing, polite & friendly staff. Under $15.00 for a schnitty & a glass of wine, what more can you want?! :) We'll be back x

Second time ive stayed here room is good prices alround are good food is good if im working in the area again ill stay for sure the staff are great and welcoming

I am a local at the hotel & have been for a number of years. They have appointed a new venue manager who is not in touch with the locals nor the regulars. Within the short time he has been here he has ruined a event thet raises money for children's charity on a Thursday night which will probably result that none will participate. Why try to change something that has been working well for a number of years? This hotel is unique & has a large number of regular customers. The feeling amongst the regulars is to move. This hotel is where the staff & regulars have a great time. We joke we laugh & we like things as they are. We are open to new ideas but when changes are made that affect our happy home and no research is done as to why changes need to be made it makes us feel that we are not customers or regulars but just a number that passes through the door. If the ALH group wants this hotel to be at its best then stop changing Venue managers, especially someone who has no personality & no communication skills. The previous Venue manager would at least talk to the regulars if changes were in the pipeline & get their opinion. Love the place not happy with the new Venue Manager appointed

Thank you Hendon Hotel..great room great service. You all went over and above to make us country visitors feel like we were at our own local pub. You made one 6 yr old feel so special and help us celebrate his Skooter Win.I will be recomending you to everyone I can. Cheers and Beers to you all.
