Really nice location opposite the waterfront. A diverse and innovative breakfast menu with the best smoothies. Attentive and well presented staff. Had a very enjoyable meal here.
Stopped off for afternoon cocktails. Best lychee martini I’ve had in ages. Lovely, friendly service and a gorgeous view just across from the beach. No one rushed us or made us feel unwelcome for sitting and taking our time over drinks. Stayed for happy hour and found the pina colada also delicious. Well worth getting down to this end of Port Douglas to enjoy.
Best meal we had in Port Douglas hands down! Stone cooked steak was lovely and a nice cut of meat to go with it. Staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout the night. All other meals were well presented and looked lovely. Highly recommend for your next meal in Port Douglas.

My mother in law went to this place for breakfast, truly amazing. Had the coconut panna cotta. Great service, beautiful cafe with the gorgeous view. Keen to go back to try desserts.

Thank you to Daniel and the Hi Tide crew fir a lovely dinner! They went out of their way to provide me with a meal I could eat safely. I have many food allergies and rarely go out for dinner as it is so difficult. Yet, Hi Tide was very accommodating, making up an entree from ingredients in their menu, and checking with the chef when I asked for more information about ingredients. Daniel was very understanding and reassuring, nothing seemed to be too hard, he did it all with a smile! We'd love to come back again some day!! Thanks for making our holiday even more special!!

Breakfast of smashed Avo but with a fabulous twist. Pumpkin bread and corn salsa... excellent. Great coffee and watermelon & passionfruit juice yummo.
Service very good and I'm from Melb. and was with friends who are local PD residents who were v impressed too and under new management but not sure of how recent. The lunch dinner menus and wine list look fab too great choice of some good international wines.

We chose Hi Tide By the Beach for our "last supper" in Port Douglas and we were not disappointed. It was better than the rest and our experience was wonderful. Welcoming and friendly staff; fantastic food; great wine; and the setting is perfect. We'll be back next year.
We ordered 5 of the tasting plates, the best being the scallops, sourdough bread and octopus. The salmon sashimi was delicious but the curry sauce took away from the salmon and the beef carpaccio lacked a bit of flavour. The mains and desserts were delicious, we had the lamb rump, mushroom pasta and peach crumble for dessert. Overall great food, great service and beautiful restaurant. Definitely a must visit in Port Douglas.
Nice spot opposite the beach within The Peninsula hotel. Attentive staff. The food was fresh. The slow cooked lamb is a must order.

After a stroll along the beach in the morning, I stumbled across this little cafe for brekkie. Friendly service to help find a table and then QR codes to access the menu and order. They make their own hollandaise sauce which is the right balance of tangy and sensational
Hi Tide was an absolute dining delight. Service was friendly and extremely efficient. And the food was absolutely fantastic! Going back for breakfast this morning to check out their ocean view...and their brekky menu!
Great secluded spot for dinner away from the main street! Mocktails were yum, so were the mains. We had the fish of the day and seafood chowder - both were excellent! Highly recommend!

We were stoked by the attention the detail service and great food. We had 4 course share menu with wine pairing. It was superb. Special thanks to Sam, Restaurant manager who was great to talk to and make us feel at home not just a customer in the restaurant. He also shows great leadership skills for other staff. He was keeping an eye on all tables and time the food coming out perfectly. I needed to take an important call and I stepped out side of the restaurant and he told the 1st share plate to come out from the kitchen when he saw me walking out. When I returned he served the food so it couldn't get cold when I was on the phone. This is great attention to detail. Thank you for a great night.

Excellent flavours to the brisket and lamb and the delicious entree. Nicely done cocktails and some great local beer rounded things out nicely. Friendly staff and a lovely outlook over the waves were a bonus. Highly recommended for a special night out away from the bustle of the main drag. A hidden Port Douglas gem.
