Review 2 Fish Restaurant - Port Douglas

Great way to sample some fresh seafood done in some unusual ways. Small plates were excellent (and not that small), the fish and chips perfectly done (only wished for some malt vinegar on the chips) and the crab bagel hit the spot. Beer recommendation was also a great addition. Only downer was that the oyster delivery hadn’t arrived so no chance to try those but this was conveyed to us right at the start

Very tasty well presented fish dishes. Some interesting flavour combinations. Friendly efficient service. Pleasant outdoor seating. On the more expensive side but worth it for a treat.

Very taste food for adults, but kid’s pan fried fish was too tough & dry. Told the friendly staff about the problem with kid’s meal, got the charge waved! Very happy customer!

Excellent seafood and good portions. I had the bug (mini lobster) and it was cooked to perfection with some charring. Fresh, delicious, and staff were very friendly. The only neg was service was slow, but understandable in a full restaurant on Thu night.

Had a takeaway from here, so this review is based on the takeaway only. Firstly there is a really simple takeaway menu, beer battered fish or calamari. This wasn't a problem, but a little bit of a shame as some of the dishes on the main menu looked great. We ordered two of the beer battered fish, which was Spanish Mackerel at $26 per portion. The portion sizes were great and came with a side salad too. The fish, chips and salad were all tasty (although English chip shop chips are way better than standard chips) but unfortunately the batter wasn't crispy at all, it was on the soggy side, which was surprising given the takeaway bags weren't sealed. I would like to think this was a one off, but for the price was disappointing. We are still tempted to try out the restaurant as the menu does look great.

Do yourself a favour and take your partner here! Amazing dishes with great wine, lovely friendly service.... The tuna is a rock star - best we have ever had!

Overlooked market fish, dry tofu, sashimi platter was thinly shaved and bland (and accompanied with mayonnaise (???!!!))... service was mostly good, hence the one star. Disappointing - the google reviews are misleading.

Whilst the service and seating was good. The fish we ordered, Mangrove Jack, was badly cooked rubbery tough and still uncooked inside. It was served without a salad on creamy bean mixture, and no lemon. For a seafood restaurant they should know better.

I recall recently saying that I had never been truly impressed by any meal I have eaten out in a long long time..... I now officially withdraw that comment. The food is world class and truly worth writing about. This is the best restaurant you could spend your hard earned $$$$ at. You will not be disappointed. The menu is creative, fresh local produce, inspired by the tropics and cooked by some exceptional chefs 💙💙💙 this place. Will be back without a doubt.

Wow! Very impressed from the moment I walked in to book a table for that night. Polite, attentive staff, my assigned waitress even apologized for not refilling my glass in time before I reached for the bottle. Great service is rare these days. Amazing seafood, great wine list but the best was the Irish Truffle dessert- best ever!

My favourite restaurant in Port Douglas and it did not disappoint. Amazing food. Calamari as soft as butter, Bug tails to die for. My friend had the Barramundi and the small taste she allowed me was divine. Going back on Thursday and thats top of my list. Fantastic Service. As I said never disappoints
