So I had the rack of lamb tonight, and all I can say is that was bloody delicious! The lamb was not only tasty but cooked just right so it was easy to cut into and almost melt in your mouth material. I just wanted more meat on my plate!! The mash was smooth and the long beans were well seasoned!! Bravo team!!
Note- you order at the food station and you collect your plated meals from the same place. A little odd but not taken into consideration in my overall rating.
This is our favourite family dining option in Port Douglas. Food is cheap and fast and there is something on the menu for everyone. Perfect for kids.
The staff were very nice. Found us a good table (2 adults and 2 kids) kids had the adult Parma , one without ham. Mrs had the avocado salad with chicken. I had the 200gm filet with green pepper corn sauce. Too much for the kids to eat. Salad was excellent. My steak was a bit thin and fatty.
The staff brought a doggy bag for the left overs.
One thing I didn’t like was having to go and get your meals from the kitchen. With four meals and two little one it was a bit much !! Lucky the manager offered to carry two meals up for me. Like I said staff were great.
Exactly what pub food should be. Large, plentiful plates of good grub. Pizzas are large and tasty and the salads aren’t for the faint hearted. Testiment to the place is the fact it’s always full to the brim
This was a lovely restaurant/Pub. The staff were nice and welcoming. I really enjoyed the food. All of the family yearly enjoyed it to when u come to Port Douglas u must come and visit Rattle ‘n Hum the only thing that needed to be improved was the lighting in the restaurant it was a bit hard to read the menu. Other wise the restaurant was great and I can definitely say I can will come back👌👍👍😎
What a pleasant surprise for a pub. Seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly, chips were great, warm and very fast service.
Can't fault anything. This place will put your faith back into pub food.
Really enjoyed our time here. Great pub, really well air conditioned, good vibes and friendly staff. The food was delicious typical pub food and was very fresh!
Had good music on and the family had a game of pool. Would definitely recommend.
Happy hour drinks from 5-6 pm is a nice start. We shared garlic prawns as an entree (very nice and came with a side salad and plenty of prawns. Sauce not too rich). We then shared the avocado salad and seafood platter. Very delicious and the best pub food in Port Douglas. Highly recommended if you are after pub food.
One of our favourite haunts in Port Douglas... Similar to the one in Cairns. Great interior, friendly wooden rustic pub style atmosphere, lots of different types of seating (street tables, booths, high tables, outdoor garden...), menu with real food (avocado salad one of my favs), super helpful young and fresh serving team, pool tables, wood fired pizza oven, yada yada yada.... Packed when we arrived, so obviously popular, but got a table quickly. Love the simple order at counter and pick it up when buzzer goes off approach. Saves a lot of hassle and keeps things moving quickly!
Ordered the $32 Seafood Rattler that had a great assortment of delicious items. The serving was enough to share between two adults and a child as a good sized snack. Very impressed with the quality and quantity. Relaxed setting with friendly staff. Highly recommended. Would certainly return.
Pretty damn good pub this one. Went here for lunch, ended up having the prawns to share, and the salt n vinegar crusted fish. The prawns were delicious, fresh and tasty, accompanied by a thousand island and a tartare dressing. The fish was great too, nice and big serving. Would've liked a bit of a stronger salt n vinegar taste, but let's not be too picky. Didn't think the hollandaise went well with it either. Great location, very relaxed and lots of different areas to devour some well earnt drinks.
Yum yum yum!
We enjoyed several meals here whilst on holidays in Port Douglas!
From their seafood platter, to calamari, ribs, pizzas and more.. They've got everything covered!
They've got a lovely outdoor area out the back, surrounded by tropical plants.
The drinks were great too, the staff even made us espresso martinis (which were delicious) that weren't on their standard menu!
My partner loved it because it had a casual pub vibe, and I loved it because it wasn't a pub!
We'll definitely be back for a meal when we're back in PD!
We ate lunch here and thought it was great! I had the barramundi burger and my husband had the beef burger- both were delicious and the side of chips were perfectly cooked! YUM!
Great casual dining spot!
We wanted a casual dinner experience from this place, and that's exactly what we got.
We were greeted by the efficient but friendly staff who simply explained the 2 specials available and promptly seated us. We heard that their wood fire pizzas were good so ordered one each. We weren't disappointed. She ordered the Vegetarian Deluxe and He ordered the Pulled Pork which came out before we could even finish our first drink. He was particularly impressed with the Pulled pork, the BBQ base and apple on top was an excellent combination. Both pizzas were consistently good in all the right areas. We followed up with a couple of games of pool, which was an added bonus.
Air conditioned pub with a decent sized menu. Food was served quickly and tasted alright, not top restaurant quality food but better than most pub meals. If you're after a quickly served feed after a day of adventuring, this is the place to go
Decent local spot. They've got some nice dishes on the menu. We ordered several entrees and shared among four adults and it was more than enough. Prawns were a bit over cooked but good value. Wedges were delicious as was the Parmesan bread. The nachos weren't the greatest, it's pretty hard to screw up nachos but they were dry and flavorless.
Surprised by the food being Ok! We ate here as other restaurants were full and were too hungry to wait. The service was good, food arrived quickly and they catered for allergies. My gluten free pizza was nice. They are also one of the only places consistently showing AFL if you are into that.
Great family friendly atmosphere. Didn't eat so can't give advice on that. Just had one drink, but nice pub atmosphere, friendly staff. Big pub feel
Good pub food and atmosphere, friendly service, reasonablely priced ($5 pints during happy hours!), child friendly (high chair for our 1yo, colouring pack for our 4yo). We'll be back!
Had the Port Tropical wood oven pizza. Delicious. Light crispy crust & just enough topping & not too saucy. Not too filling, but I still couldn't finish it all. Husband had the steak sandwich, served with chips. He said it was fantastic and the addition of gooey egg would have made it perfect.
A great casual meal, not overly expensive. Would definitely go again.
A few beers, pizzas and a wonder around. They now how to make a tasty pizza and a great cocktail hope to be back before our holidays end.
Tasty Wood Fired Pizzas!. Had food and drinks in the RnH in Cairns before, we both fancied a pizza for lunch so decided to go for one of the wood fired pizzas here as they were pretty tasty when we had them in Cairns. We were not disappointed, both (very) thin crust pizzas with tasty toppings, good value for money.
