It was delivered to our door and tasted great! We got pad Thai, chicken cashew, massaman, coconut rice and spring rolls and everything was delicious!

WE WILL BE BACK! Too good, not to return!
The Chicken Pad Thai was DELICIOUS. The flavours were just fantastic and it was such a good portion sizing for the price.
We also loved the spring rolls. The ingredients were fresh!
The chicken wings were also succulent and so tasty!
The only thing disappointing was the Roti. I love Roti so I buy bulk of it from Costco. So when I see the same pre bought roti at restaurants that charge through the roof for it.. it hurts! Would have loved to have had, fresh roti for this price.
Otherwise seriously DELICIOUS. We’ll be back for more Pad Thai!
Great food, clean and well priced. Had Satay, pepper beef, sweet sour chicken and fried rice. Quick service and attentive wait staff. Family friendly.
Took kids here tonight, food was enjoyed by all. Service was friendly and quick. I loved the pad Thai noodles with chicken the best. Will return in future and recommend to others who love Thai food.
Such good value for money and actually a really good Thai joint.
Bring your own booze and be ready to fill your bellies.
We had the their green and massaman curries which were exceptional and the money bags and spring rolls were delish!
The bill was so reasonable I almost had to double check
Highly recommended!
Super yum!
My girlfriend and I were staying in port Douglas at peppers. They delivered within 10 minutes when they said the wait was going to be 30 minutes!! They were so fast and so friendly at the door. Best food, was incredibly enjoyable !
Good Thai take away here in Port Douglas. Delivery to our hotel was quick and efficient. Pad Thai and beef masaman beef curry was fantastic.
Good Thai food and nice venue. Quick service and a good selection. The seafood laksa was awesome. Good place to get a decent Thai feed in port Douglas
We frequent this restaurant each time we are in Port Douglas. Beautiful food. Always forget its BYO but there is a bottle shop across the street.
Highly recommended!
It was a nice environment and great selection on menu. We ordered the red beef curry which was delicious and cooked well, we also had the tom yum which was mild and full of flavour
Latest ordered the steamed vegetables in Oyster sauce. It came out too raw and needed to be cooked. After explaining to 4 waitresses it was not pleasant they cook it back and recooked it and brought it back.
We rang and booked no problem. Food was reasonably priced. Fresh and came out quickly. Staff friendly and attentive. Go and have a lovely night out - highly recommended!!!! 5 stars!!!! Thanks.
We just arrived from Melbourne today and settled into to our nice apartment then decided to come here here for dinner. We started with the 4 prawns entree which were lightly fried in a thin wrap. The prawns had no after taste and were so fresh and tasty. Then the main salt and pepper calamari was just to die for. I’m no Spring chicken and they were the best salt and pepper calamari I have ever had in my life.
I’m
Not a great fan of Thai but this place I would comeback to anytime. I highly recommend this great restaurant!
Food was delicious, inexpensive, plus they delivered for free. The service was fantastic! Definitely recommend to anyone who lives in Port Douglas or just holidaying.
Really very pleasantly surprised. We ate at this restaurant twice as a family with our kids. Very friend staff, excellent service with BYO available and delicious food at good price point. We will be back.
Great Thai in the centre of port Douglas. We had our two young children and everyone was happy at he table. Started with some moneybags and spring rolls which the kids hovered down. Then we shared the crispy skin whole barramundi and a beef salad which were both yum. The kids shared a red curry which was not hot at all with coconut rice. Service slow but atmosphere lovely.
Great food and friendly service. Try the yellow chicken or the banana fish both were great. It's BYO so if you want to have a drink bring one with you
For our love of thai this was the best find in port douglas. We took a takeaway of pad thai and satay chicken with rice and curry puffs, as the place was packed during dinner time. The food tasted superly amazing and the portions were also quite generous. Everything tasted as if we are eating in Thailand.
We ended up having food from here yet again during our week long vacation. As they deliver free so we chose that and food came in about 45mins, which wasnt bad.
The prices are of course on a lil higher side but so is any other place in port douglas.
This is a must recommended one.
We had our dinner after a swim in the beautiful warm ocean there. The food was amazing also the staff very friendly and fast. Very good Thai Restaurant in the middle of busy Port Douglas.
The fiancé and myself came here for the first time
and the Thai food was amazing!! Better than the Thai in Melbourne !! Definately will be coming back !
Super impressed by this Thai offering in the heart of Port Douglas. We were dying for some Asian food after days of eating Aussie cuisine, and this place fit the bill beautifully. We lapped up the curry, fried rice and stir fried prawns and chicken like there was no tomorrow. It was such a great meal we returned the following night. This is also one of the few BYO places, so we popped across the road for an $8 rose and that kept us going nicely :-) Amateur drinkers as well as diners. Had plenty of seating, indoors and out, so you won't be disappointed on missing out. Also no sports screens so you can relax and have a league free evening :-)
We didn't expect much due to not many options being available in the area, but wow! Great authentic pad Thai, pad see u, and good entrees too. Quick fast delivery and great value too! A+
Fast, great value, very friendly service.
Happily moved us to another table, inside, when we asked. I would sit inside or out - no problem. Tables jammed cheek-by-jowl, which only adds the the frenetic energy so common in Asia :) Good spice & flavour in all dishes, although the chilli was pared back, perhaps to appeal to the broadest market. Yellow chicken curry, Money bags, Chicken & cashews (Gai Pad Med Ma-Muong), Thai style fried rice (Kow Pad), Singapore noodles, Coconut rice and Jasmine rice. We had to ask again for the forgotten 'money bags' to be delivered, but they then arrived promptly. Good portion sizes. AUD81/4 pax is very good value for Port Douglas, which is a little over-priced, imho. No alcohol service but there is a well stocked bootle-o next door; and only _$1 corkage! :)
Star of Siam is easy, fast and fun. Recommended.
Excellent prompt and friendly service .Beautiful food with excellent flavours .Very reasonably priced for Port Douglas. Good location.
We ventured here on our 2nd night in Port Douglas and had a nice meal in a nice restaurant with good service at a pretty reasonable price for Port Douglas. Given it is BYO and the bottle shop 2 doors down means it is even better value. We eat a lot of Thai and are spoilt back home but we had prawn spring rolls, fish cakes and curry puffs to start and enjoyed them all. We then shared a yellow chicken curry, vegetables with satay sauce, garlic and pepper prawns, pad Thai and some steamed rice. The food was tasty and we enjoyed all the dishes, only thing is mains came out a bit quick after the entrees and for the money the prawn dish could have had a few more prawns. We would suggest giving this place a try as one of the better places and value for money in Port Douglas.
Had a really nice meal here with my husband we ordered cashew chicken and the seafood stirfry. Both were fresh, not overlooked and full of flavour. I would highly recommend :)
Got delivery as we had kids in tow. Delivery was prompt, our food was super fresh with nice crispy Roti not the floppy chewy stuff you sometimes get.
Went with red duck curry and massaman beef fish cakes and coconut rice everything was on point with ok spice levels but would order a little hotter next time.
Would be more than happy to have this place s my local.
After reading lots of positive reviews on Zomato, Star of Siam made it to my ‘must eat while in Port Douglas’ list. Being a Thursday night, we decided to do a walk in for a table of two (I highly recommend a reservation on weekends). The restaurant appeared to be quite busy but we were lucky enough to be seated outside on such a lovely balmy night. We soon found out that BYO was just $1 per head so a quick run to the bottle shop next door was a must!
Our choices landed on Gang Pak (green curry vegetables), Pla rad prik (deep fried fish fillets with sweet chilli sauce) accompanied by coconut rice. All of our dishes tasted good but was missing that spicy element that usually presents in authentic Thai food. The place was owned and ran by Thai, but I have a feeling they adjusted their flavouring slightly to suit the Australian tongues. Overall, we were still satisfied with the quality of the food considering the lack of Asian options in the area.
Quick service. Plenty of staff. Food was nice and well priced, especially for Macrossan st
Good and bad - good fantastic but service was at best - average. Dessert was a joke - more like a kids menu item. Also beware it's BYO ...:-( ...
We have eaten in ALOT of Thai restaurants and I must say that coming to Port Douglas one of the highlights is eating at Star of Siam. Our particular favourites are the curry puffs (the best have had bar none) and the beef massaman curry with beef that just melts in your mouth. Highly Recommended.
A must to try. Authentic traditional Thai. Great value and friendly service. Definitely will be back
Great takeaway - perfect Thai food. Rang up and ordered a takeout -red Thai chicken curry & jasmine rice superb!! Great value, prompt service and the tastiest meal. Many thanks - would recommend to anyone!!
Pretty darn good food!. The food here was amazing! prawns in the stir fry were huge and there were so many! didn't get charged corkage for our beer which was nice. service was friendly, but very slow! on the whole good restaurant!
Ate dinner here while in PD. Great service and the food was really good. Had great flavours.
Great service, nice vibe. The deep fried Barramundi is a winner.
Went to Star of Siam on a Sat night to celebrate our anniversary while on holiday in PD. What a delight this place is. We arrived at 6pm & even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were promptly made to feel welcome & seated at a table by the window overlooking the front.
We ordered a shared entree plate, which was 1 serve of spring roll, chicken satay, deep fried prawn & a money bag.
Everything was delicious but the money bags would have to be the best we've ever had! They had such an amazing flavour. Highly recommend a serve of these.
Mains were the Roast Duck & Massaman Beef Curry, with a side of Thai fried rice.
Again all dishes exceeded our expectations. The duck was beautifully cooked and the beef was so tender, it just fell apart. The rice was a great accompaniment too.
This is a BYO restaurant with corkage of just $1 per person. A more than reasonable fee to enjoy your favourite wine with dinner. The wait staff were quick to take our order and very friendly & attentive.
Overall a great experience, would definitely return & recommend.
Expectations were low but was pleasantly surprised. Staff very accommodating. Thai beef salad, fresh and lots of chunky, tender beef. Bbq chicken was delicious but my favorite (and toddlers too) was the coconut rice!!! Omg!!
Looks hot and stuffy inside but actually quite cool. Would go back there again.
Stick a fork in me. We only had two nights in PD and decided on this place for our second night as we love Thai food. They didnt let us down with great service and awesome curry's at a very reasonable FNQ standard price-point. I had the Red Curry Beef and the mean was delicious with a good generous serving of veges with it also. Honestly I thought this place was exceptional. Recommend strongly.
Delicious. Best Thai I've had in some time, so much so we had dinner here 2 nights in a row. The Massaman beef curry was devine. tender beef and great flavour. Same for the duck curry and Tom Yum Goong.
Only issue was we found the pad thai a touch on the sweet side.
Food and service all ok not fantastic but for a quick meal we we're satisfied!
Authentic Thai. I lived and worked in Thailand many years ago and this restaurant hits the authentic mark. Loved the pad thai - highly recommend the dish to others.
Beautiful food, and service that was attentive and friendly. Will return.
A great place to enjoy some authentic and delicious thai food. The service was courteous and effective. Food timings where very prompt. If your in PD this place is a must.
Great food and service. Meals were a good size for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids.
Good Thai food. Reasonable prices. A main will feed two people.
Great Thai food! All of our dishes were fantastic, including the special dessert we negotiated with the staff. A great night out in Port Douglas!
Delicious food and responsive service. We had two Massaman curry and Penang curry with four servings of coconut rice with roti breads to share between four. We ordered a green curry but it never arrived and we weren't charged for it and didn't need it. We were charged $1 per head for corkage which was the lowest I've ever paid. Overall the experience was excellent and we all enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend :)
One of my favourites. The chicken pad Thai is fantastic. The curries are sensational too :)
Worth a visit. I didn't know what to expect here because there's not a lot of Asian food choices in PD, SOI said to mum why don't we go here (I love thai + hot food).
But I was pleasantly surprised. Good, authentic (enough) , fresh Thai food. Everything we had was great (mum's easy to please!), the calamari was nice also.
Fantastic................yum. The food and service was brilliant. Since the last time we were there ( it was very very average and we where hesitant to go again) the new owners have done a wonderful job getting the restaurant back on track, the standard is top class and I think we went 3 times during our stay at Port Douglas.
Stunning little Thai restaurant in the heart of Port Douglas!! We stopped by to try out this place from recommendations and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the staff are super friendly. There is outdoor and indoor seating.
I would say it’s nice to have something different in the area as we were walking the main street and most restaurants was serving the same type of food and this place seemed popular for take always.
Firstly, my partner and myself had no idea what to get for dinner. We asked the waitress what was best on the menu; she informed us the chicken curry was really good! And, it was ABSOLUTELY amazing! Besides the weather being really hot and the room not air conditioned enough: the chicken was soft and the taste to perfection (I have been to Thailand and have tasted Thai food). I couldn’t leave without sending our feedback back to the cook. Absolutely splendid. Eaten here twice in our one week stay and was craving it every day. You’ll definitely have to open a place in Melbourne! Otherwise, I’ll have to keep coming back to Port Douglas frequently!
Great Thai Restaurant on Macrossan St, Port Douglas. Food was delicious, particularly the beef salad and the massaman curry. Tried the pumpkin coconut custard for the first time, and I quite liked the unique flavour.
I must specially appreciate and make mention of the hardworking staff, who served us in a very courteous and friendly manner on what was an extremely busy night.
Love a good Thai place! We booked for dinner and glad we did because it got busy. Service was quick and loved the beef massaman! 😊
Fantastic food, quite possibly the best meal we have had in Port Douglas. Highly recommended.
Lovely Thia restaurant.
The staff were so under the pump tonight however, we still received prompt and totally professional service,no stress apparent.
Meals are ample ,delicious,I must say I fiind them a bit on the sweet side.
Overall a pleasant diniing experince I can thoroughly recommend.
Very good value for money.
Drove up to Port D from Townsville and just wanted a tasty, quick, Asian style meal. Star of Siam didn't disappoint. Prompt, friendly service. Great authentic Thai food. The fish cakes were as good as any you'd get in Bangkok. The deep fried fish with Tamarind Sauce was fabulous. All in all a good experience for a casual, tasty Thai meal. Would definately try again
