What amazing food! The service was impeccable and gave us time to talk on a reasonably busy evening. Young professional staff, extremely attentive and the food was exceptional. As ‘regulars’ to Port Fairy, we had yet to try this little gem until now. We will definitely return. It is clean, great food, great booze and I can’t say enough about how great the whole experience was. Ellen, Jake and Gabrielle did a fantastic job! On another note, I’m not sure how the 1 Star review that Josephine gave had any substance... every review she had made until today (18/4/18) was 1 Star for other places on google. I say, the food is Melbourne quality and if you were near me, I’d be there every week! Well done guys and keep up the great work.

Don’t forget the street corn! Everything I had was delicious—corn, pork taco, fish taco, margarita. The pork was so tender and flavorful, I could have eaten a dozen if cost and the size of my stomach weren’t an issue. The fish was was also very good and not too greasy for being fried. The place is a small and upbeat with bright murals on every wall and the waitress was very friendly. I went soon after they opened for dinner on a week day and it wasn’t busy at all but If imagine it fills up pretty easily

Great Mexican food in the centre of Port Fairy! Staff were really great and food was fantastic - I had the charred sweet corn and the pork burrito bowl. My wife and kids had quesadillas and loved them, and the churros were the perfect way to finish the meal!

Our meal was very bland. The calamari was tasteless. The beef burrito was beefless and the chicken taco was edible. Overall i wouldn't go there again. With all those amazing ingredients to cook with and it had no flavour. Disappointing.

Great friendly service. Amazing food full of flavour. I had the chicken, beef and pork tacos and cold coronas. Make sure you order a margarita and the dessert as well the ice -cream is amzing. Thank you for a great experience.

Probably the most delicious Mexican food I've had. Beats the city alternatives hands down. Staff were great, venue is cool, and every dish was exceptional. Highly recommended.

The food at Port of Mexico was AMAZING! Everything was served promptly and was fresh and delicious. The decor and music create a perfectly relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!
I Just Enjoy Food
I was dubious because of some reviews but pleasantly surprised. We came here on our first night in port fairy.
Had Dead man’s nachos & pork tortilla chips. Would have loved the squid but they’d been so busy they were out of it. Nachos & tortillas plus dessert were enough for hubby & I to share anyway.
Nachos were yummy-fresh, plenty of all toppings, proper guacamole & great flavours. Tostaditas yummy too, could’ve eaten heaps more!
7yo had kids nachos, which even she was a bit disappointed by as they were just chips, cheese mince & sour cream.
4yo had a kids chicken taco which she seemed to enjoy (although wasn’t appealing to look at).
Churros for dessert were amazing-best we’ve had, like ever. Crispy but not too much, delicious & not oily.
Service was friendly even though they were hectic, overall fun atmosphere & good food.

Great! Loved the food!!! Kids nachos, tacos and the burrito, plus a corn were all delicious! We’ll definitely be back!

Accommodated our toddler well. Very friendly staff!

Wanted to try some Mexican in Port Fairy. It is fantastic that a small town has such a wide variety of eateries on offer. We had the calamari which was a great starter. The kids didn’t like their corn chips - they thought they were stale tasting (no nachos was a negative). The mains we had was the burrito bowl and a regular burrito. Both were fantastic and used trending ingredients like quinoa. While it wasn’t a big hit with the family, we were enjoyed the venue and the chefs take on modern mexican. Happy to give it another go.

Stopped by for a quick bite before heading home after a day at the beach. Ordered a fish and beef taco which was just average. However, the place has a good vibe to it and very family friendly. overall not a bad place to visit

Family friendly and casual. Unfortunately the food is bland and doesn’t taste very fresh or authentic. The decor is lovely and staff great.
Hand cut tortilla chips are not fresh, and tasted stale.
Everything needed more seasoning.

It’s a shame as they could easily improve the taste of the food with a few small tweaks. Just doesn’t hit the mark. Sorry.

Really enjoyed our experience here. Service was great and food was all yum. We shared a number of dishes enjoyed them all (tacos were just ok though). We look forward to coming back

A 6+ out of 5! Do yourself a favour. Scrumptious. They went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every moment. Very likely we will be back... soon.

It was a busy night during school holidays and we'd asked for a large table, they were highly accommodating especially since we had our 93 year old grandmother with us. Although there was a small wait. The service from the staff was lovely and the food equally as nice we shared entrees and burritos which were all full of flavour. Drinks at bar prices and plenty of attentive helpful staff floating around if you need anything. Thanks to Sarah and staff for a lovely night.
