Review Little Fish Cafe - Port Macquarie

The food is absolutely delicious 😋. Atmosphere is fantastic, staff accommodating and very helpful. Make sure you have a big appetite as meals are aplenty. The vineyard's wines are a perfect combination with this beautiful setting and French cuisine. Friday nights they have live music for no extra charge and they are actually talented. Make a booking, you won't regret it.

You can read the stories of who these people are but my own experience will tell you that they are so hospitable in every sense of the word. Me and my gf booked the table twice and they were happy to assist with the refund immediately. We booked a dinner without tasting and they were happy to add tasting to the dinner with no charge and at our own desired pace. You would otherwise expect someone to say that you need to order drinks instead of asking for tasting, or you need to pay for it, but they didn’t say any of these things. All they did was trying to accommodate our needs and help us have a nice evening. You need to have a big heart and have the word ‘hospitality’ guide your every move to be able to do what they do. But such a nice place and such a nice evening.

We went to Little Fish as a large family & it was such a gorgeous lunch! Really relaxed & beautiful french food. We could pay as we ordered so no stress of splitting the bill at the end. The staff are lovely too! We had a birthday cake & for extra they put on plates for us with cream & kiwi coulis. We can't wait to go back. I think it's going to be a regular spot for us now! x

Late post but still posting my review. We moved to Port around April and we've only been trying out some place. Some are good and some aren't. This one is good! Very good place to get a meal. The beef cheek is to Die for as well as the French Onion Soup, had a special pasta that day as well which was really good! Service wise, it's one of the most pleasant experience I had in a restaurant here in Port Macquarie. Went there a bit earlier but I reckon it can packed full of people, well of course not until the restrictions are lifted.

A wonderful French cafe restaurant experience. Wheelchair friendly with undercover deck overlooking the vineyard. Great summer menu, where French cuisine as well as modern Australian available. Snails can be had for entree. Duck, bouillabaisse, fillet Mignon or seafood on the main menu. We tried seafood bouillabaisse & pan seared barramundi. Wines are suggested to have next to the meals, whether by the glass or a bottle to share. Tasting bar and wines from the vineyard available to purchase. Great selection of desserts to enjoy after a very tasty main meal. Tried Sticky date pudding & honey macadamias cheesecake with cappacinnos. Highly recommended. If you choose to eat in the downstairs marquee, vine-covered pagoda or on the lawn, your dogs are also welcome.

After coming to Port Macqaurie for over ten years, we have finally discovered the most amazing food and relaxing atmosphere. If your looking for something to make your taste buds explode do yourself a favour and visit.

Absolutely amazing! The staff were lovely and so accommodating. We told the staff we were unfortunately in a hurry and we had our meals in 10 minutes! They went above and beyond. Plus the food was amazing- best meal I’ve had in a long time. The grounds were also beautiful. We will definitely be going back. I can’t recommend this place enough. Great little surprise, on a rainy afternoon, in a small winery 15 mins from Port Centre. French inspired with a French chef, using local produce and wines from the winery. The food was cooked with care and the service was good, if a little rusty, after lockdown. We shared the mussels, accompanied with a Semillon (very good). For mains we had the duck confit with a fig reduction and the seafood Bouillabaisse (local Shiraz). Both excellent. For dessert we shared honey, macadamia cheesecake (with their fortified semillon). Sitting on the verandah of the old farmhouse was a delight.

I just wanted to say how lovely it was for our afternoon/lunch at the Little Fish Cafe, thank you to all the friendly staff who made us feel right at home the minute we walked in and who checked on us continually, despite the large crowd that was happily and successfully served as well. WELL DONE Little Fish Cafe!!! We certainly will be back to visit with more friends in tow. Can I also add how lovely the food was. Being a FRENCH restaurant I was not expecting much on my plate, but we were all pleasantly surprised at the large servings and beautifully presented and exquisitely tasting flavours. We very much enjoyed our meal, and next time will only order one Entree again such generous servings. As for desserts, thankfully there were three of us so we could sample three of the dishes, and next time we are bringing more, so we can sample the lot. I'd come again for an afternoon tea with those desserts on the menu. Thank you again to all staff and owners Steve and Angela. You have a sure winner and we of Port Macquarie are blessed to have this on our door step. For anyone looking for an out of the way place, great staff/beautiful people, food, atmosphere, wine tasting, or function of any kind no matter how big or small, then look no further.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Little Fish over the weekend. What a divine, gorgeous and intimate place for us to celebrate. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, the food was absolutely scrumptious and exquisitely presented and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We would thoroughly recommend this gorgeous restaurant and vineyard for special occasions. We couldn't have faulted anything. Absolutely stunning! We would also thoroughly recommend their wedding stylist, Kristy Slocombe and the incredible floral artist, Sarah Hudson. These two women are so talented and go above and beyond to create a gorgeous and beautiful space, reflective of your personal style. Thank you Little Fish!

Enjoyed a beautiful lunch with friends to celebrate a special birthday for one lady. Wonderful view from balcony looking through Jacaranda trees to the vineyard. The menu was extensive including local fish of the day, plus a glass or two of Little Fish wine. The waiter staff very helpful and friendly. Will be back

Little Fish Cafe never disappoints. Love bringing friends and family visiting Port to this idyllic location set amongst the vineyards. A great setting for all, even the kids who can run amuck, climb trees and not disturb anyone. The food is exceptional and one of my favs is the platter of cheeses and nibbles. Perfect for a lazy Sunday arvo chill. The staff are friendly and personable and owners Angie and Steve go out of their way to ensure you'll keep co I g back. And I will.

We cannot recommend Little Fish enough - we held our intimate wedding (40 people) there in November 2017 - both Ceremony and Reception. Angela was our main contact - she is organised, professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing was ever too much and no question was ever too silly. Although a small wedding, we still received the same service (I believe), as a larger event would. The staff during our Reception were second to none, and an absolute credit to Little Fish. We had a Cocktail event - with 8 x types of Canapes - which were all really delicious and ample amounts. Thank you to all involved, for making our perfect day even more perfect <3

I had the pleasure of marrying the amazing Vanessa Copley on Saturday 22nd October at the little fish cafe .. the owners Angela and steve plus all the staff were nothing short of amazing.. we were 83 including guests.. the weather was the only down fall but nothing could dampen the day.. I would hand on hart recommend this venue for anything from a sleepy Sunday afternoon. With great wine and excellent food or any other function.. Thank you again guys Vanessa & Dave copley

We had our Wedding at the Little Fish Cafe and cannot thank Angela, Steve and staff enough for making our Wedding Day absolutely amazing. It was an unforgettable day and everything that we dreamed of. Angela was so accommodating and couldn't do enough to help particularly as we had to change venues at short notice. The food was amazing and I have had so many compliments from my guests about the amazing food, friendly staff and ambience of the cafe. I highly recommend this venue for a Wedding. Thanks again so much Angela and Steve!

This little resturant has a french menu with a good mix of choices. It is set in a picturesque vineyard very handy to Port Macquarie. A great choice for a birthday lunch.

Delicious lunch at Little Fish on Sunday. Food was amazing - I had the veal (the best) my husband enjoyed the duck and the wine they suggested went perfect with our meals. The staff very friendly and very welcoming. Next time we are in Port Macquarie we'll definitely be going again - Highly Recommend ��

The food was superb, just as I was losing faith in local dining- the chef here left us satisfied. Every element of our dishes were perfect, well seasoned, dressed, and cooked with attention and profession and a French element I devoured. Thank you!

Great atmosphere, beautiful location sensational food and fantastic customer service. The lamb shoulder we had yesterday was divine. Highly recommended anyone staying in and around the Port Macquarie area should definitely visit this place.

We loved it . Early Birthday dinner and live music for me . A lovely coolish evening , lovely attentive waitstaff , great menu selection , ample , tasty and well presented food , the company of the woman I love . cue music " who could ask for anything more " .

Wow....I've changed what I have written 5 times as I am unsure of how to word it! You see, we had our beautiful mothers wake at your beautiful cafe. The staff were so attentive to our group of 100! We enjoyed the lovely surrounds. We had lovely sandwiches and cake with our coffees and tea...and a few of us may have toasted a wonderful life with an alcoholic beverage or 2! Thank you to your wonderful staff, especially the young lady that was there to the end trying to close up while our stragglers finished up. Thank you �

Had a fabulous Saturday night dinner with friends, beautiful atmosphere, and a fantastic band, with easy listening music not too loud, conversations could still be had.
