There were 12 of us who had a variety of dishes, everyone's was superb, no complaints. We all agreed that their garlic bread was the best we ever. Lovely staff, excellence service. Good variety of of wines to choose from and the best macchiato coffee I have had in a long time. We will be back.
Fantastic food. Great service from all the staff. Very friendly attentive staff. Highly recommend you pay a visit to this resteraunt.
We are visitors to Port Macquarie having a few family members living there. We always try to fit in at least one visit to The Corner - usually for breakfast but have also done lunch.
Good food, innovative seasonal menu, good coffee and tea. Also like the al fresco dining option especially on milder but sunny days.
Fabulous food, fabulous service, fabulous location, fabulously welcoming! Overall, it was ok, I suppose! 😂
Definitely returning when we next visit Port Macquarie, just wish we had had enough time to sample the dinner menu, which looked.......fabulous!
Great Cafe/venue for breakfast lunch and dinner. Always easy they're when we are in Port Macquarie. Great coffee and for staff
Just had the most amazing meal. Service was fantastic too. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thankyou!
I love the Corner .... Great food, amazing staff, and their coffees are the best.
We could not have had a better night out, lovely staff, fantastic food, perfect drinks. We highly recommend The Corner Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic night out!
Setting and location could be improved. A little far from the main epicentre. Food was very well cook and served fresh. Waitresses were lovely and service was impeccable
A Guide For Your Appetite

We visited this cafe while on our road trip to QLD. The service was very good and with a smile. The cafe was very clean and spacious. Most importantly the breakfast 'hit the nail on the head'.... A.K.A was spot on great.
All 9 guests enjoyed their breakfast and had no complaints. This is definitely the go to place for breakfast and for next time we are in Port Macquarie
I travel here for work and was staying in the Apartments above the cafe - lucky me these guys do room service to the Macquarie Waters guests at no extra charge! Campos coffee delivered to my door every morning with some great breakfast options.. this alone is worth staying here for!!! A much needed cafe in Port Maquarie
Have been here many times. Visited tonight, dishes were fantastic as always. The service not so much, wasn't bad or rude just not on the ball. Still, highly recommended.
We usually go here for coffee and cake. If you're a campos lover then this place is for you. It's one of the best coffee shops in port and you can order ahead online. Slightly pricey but hey you're on holidays
Nice cafe. Outdoor and indoor seating. Appeared that they were running on limited staff (warned about a bit of delay with food) but the waitress was doing a great job. Slight wait on food but no issues.
Servings were massive!! We had the pumpkin bruschetta and the fritters. Both were beautiful.
Coffee was good
Based onreviews, we went here for breakfast and we were not disappointed.
I had Sourdough Bruschetta with Roast Pumpkin, Haloumi, Avocado & Feta mash, Rocket , Poached Eggs & Spiced Pepitas, and a Campo's coffee. It was all delicious: perfectIy matched flavours. The others in our party equally enjoyed their breakfasts.
The wait-staff actually had personalities (which is a refreshing change) and were pleasant, friendly and attentive.
If we lived here, we would definitely be regulars at The Corner.
High quality, clean, local food. Dinner is always an excellent feed!
Had dinner here on a Wednesday. Ordered seared tuna salad and scallops for entree, both delicious. Mains: crispy skin salmon (chefs special) & market fish of the day (swordfish), excellent. Dessert: yoghurt panacotta, with coffees, amazing. Service was outstanding. No wonder it has won awards. Breakfast: average.
Beautifully cooked and presented food. Intense flavours and great menu options. Pity the decor, service, cutlery and glassware doesn't match the fine dining price tag. Still well worth it for the food.
I had eggs Bend and they were delicious! Great long black coffee and the young staff were very professional and extremely friendly. Great stop all round
Delicious. Best coffee in Port
Fresh local produce!. The Corner is an excellent venue to sample some of the fresh local ingredients of the Mid North Coast. The mood of the restaurant is set with lighting and music that invite the guest to enjoy themselves. The service is attentive, knowledgeable and happy.
We begin with a glass of Tamar Ridge Sparkling NV Chardonnay Pinot Noir from Tasmania, $8. Chilled, fruity and a palate setter for the evening.
To begin with we have the Scallop Brandade stuffed zucchini flowers with chorizo, fennel and a tomato gazpacho vinaigrette, $18. This is a stand out combination of technique and flavour, here is a Chef who knows flavours. The dish is a perfection of flavour and texture.
The special of the day is a large ripe fig stuffed with Italian gorgonzola cheese, wrapped in pancetta and served with lavender honey, $6 each. The fig was warm and ripe with the gorgonzola melted inside the fig. The pancetta gave the crunch and saltiness that combined with the lavender honey to balance the dish. This shows a chef putting together something "special"
We enjoyed a glass of 2010 Shadowfax Sauvignon Blanc (Adelaide Hills, SA), $7.50, and a 2009 Pike and Joyce Pinot Gris (Adelaide Hills, SA), $7.50.
On to the Local black tiger prawns, peach, prosciutto and endive salad with white balsamic dressing, $20. The salad fresh and flavoursome served with the plump, juicy prawns. Summer on a plate!
Joining this came Porcini salted duck with celeriac rosti, peach puree, endive and roast capsicum salad with truffle oil, $34. The duck was medium rare and served sliced, the saltiness bringing out the richness of the duck. The salad was crisp and gave a crunch with the duck.
A glass of 2009 Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir (Yarra Valley VIC), $7.50 was perfect for this dish. Pinot and duck equals heaven.
The desert menu is enticing. We share a Mixed Mini Brulee Plate, $14. A vanilla with rhubarb compote, chocolate with coffee granita and peach with white balsamic glaze, more than enough for two people here. Smooth, tasty and the classic reward of well made brulee.
The stand out desert was a Twisted Finishing Tea. A lemongrass and mint syrup poured through an infuser of dried chilli over freshly made coconut ice cream, $10. Again the chef is displaying a natural ability to create a sublime dish. The ingredients playing together in a martini glass is brilliant.
The Corner is the perfect way to enjoy a night out with someone special. Get a babysitter, leave the kids at home! It is important to encourage Chefs using our local fare in ways that inspire our palates.
Anyway, the pictured meal was the typical consistent and fulfilling outing that is The Corner, Port Macquarie. Mum and I picked the same item from the menu. It just sounded too good.
I ordered the grilled local reef fish with carrot risotto and anchovy sorel butter. I love barely cooked, grilled reef fish and the thought of the anchovy butter was giving me heart palpitations.
The food was great and the staff were lovely. The price was very reasonable too. And it was child friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and I had French toast with Bacon, Roasted Almonds, maple syrup and cream! Delicious!
Great friendly service and the breakfast food was excellent - bacon and eggs and toasted Turkish bread. Fresh orange juice and good coffee.
The price was reasonable.
Very well balanced flavours with quality produce. Had the AMT and sampled my wife's eggs benedict with smoked salmon. No seasoning required for the dishes at the table as everything was delicious Good portion size and reasonable price. Coffee was well made and staff friendly. Wish it was my local cafe and/or I had more time to try some of the other breakfast options!
Omg the bacon and egg roll. The B&E has a generous serving of bacon, a perfectly fried egg, some salad greens and very fresh tomatoes (I suspect from ricardoes). Although there is no sauce, the damper roll is so good, it doesn't need it. I followed a local who got a side order of hash browns (you get two for $4.50) and jammed a hash brown with tomato sauce into the roll. The dukkah eggs were good too. Nice coffees. Highly recommend this place
Popped in for breakfast and a coffee before heading back home. Food and service definitely the best. Bacon and egg wrap and pancakes... awesome. Coffees a 10/10. Service with a smile. Will definitely swing by again when we come back this way.
A great night out for our private Christmas party!!
The hosts were great and nothing was too much trouble. Great food, great drinks, great service.
Many thanks.
Great breakfast, French Toast with poached pear, maple candied bacon and vanilla bean cream was awesome! Highly recommend for breakfast. Great with the kids too.
Tasty food, a tad expensive for breakfast, but portions are big, you can easily share. Watch out for the weekend extra charge that is not mentioned anywhere.
