The restaurant is beside the water. Nice water views if you sit along the windows. We ordered an entry of soft shell crab, whole BBQ sniper fish and pork neck dishes. All tasted good, especially the soft shell crab and the sniper, so tasty

We go here quite bit. The food is always very good and its a great location by the river. The service can be patchy. Sometimes very professional, other times the staff seem to not know what to do.
Stand out dishes are soft shell crab with indian spices. Noodles are always good too. Fish and seafood dishes are always fresh.

Made a reservation because of the reviews and the location.
We had a table overlooking the river which was the highlight of the evening.
Very disappointed with the food, the Pad satay with chicken was over cooked and dry. The duck curry (if you could find the duck) was tasty but not great for $31🤔

This is the best Thai and Lao restaurant by far in Port Macquarie NSW. I loved the snapper and the sticky rice with banana and custard. The servings are huge and he quality of food is great. The restaurant is beside the Hasting River which has a great view. Expect to pay around $150 for five people.

Went to the Mekong Restaurant for my birthday dinner last night. The food was a delight. Service was efficient and friendly. Worth checking out. I’ll definitely be back for more yummy food 🥘.

We ordered 2 fried rice and one portion of chicken skewers and 2 small bottles of coke. The bill however was $58. So I just paid $58 for a whole load of rice. We live in Sydney which is supposedly one of the most expensive places in the world and we have never before been charged anything like that anywhere. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

Regrettable money spent and will never return. Dishes were terrible and tasteless, Asked for drinks from 2 staff and all underage and unable to help and didn't bother asking someone that could help. When not satisfied with a dish that had no sauce on meat or salad at all we were told that's just how it is until we complainted to another staff member. Worst Thai food I've ever eaten.

No doubt Mekong Thai Lao Restaurant is the best Thai in Port Macquarie. The food is fresh and authentic. The little Thai Lady is so cute and very sweet.. 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My partner and I popped in at 11.30am for early mother’s day lunch. No booking. Luckily we were given a table by the window. We shared a Red curry and Geen curry. Must say it was the best we have had there.

Compared to most Thai I've been to was greatly disappointed... had stuffed chicken wings for entree which were measly & then the chefs special which definitely wasn't... ended up costing $80 for the 2 of us... definitely not great value
