The pide was nice. Falafels were cold and soggy though

Had a booking for 7.30pm arrived on time ordered promptly. The young waitress was sent to hurry us up at 8.10pm while we were still eating. Had our plates taken while still eating our food. Still happy to take our money. So Rude!! Will never return.

Wait staff are polite and courteous but do have a rushed manner while taking your order. We ordered a fair variety of food and were left underwhelmed for the price, while the salads were ok the table was let down by the general quality of the food. A stand out disappointment were the falafel which are baked so not the expected texture. They were also quite bland with no distinct flavour, effectively a mushy shape of mashed chick pea. The bread could also be fresher, if felt as if it had been cut a few hours earlier and allowed to go stale.

I looked at the pictures & read the reviews...I knew I would love the food. I was very disappointed, it was aweful . When we went to pay my first question was "has this restaurant changed ownership recently". No surprise..yes it is in the process. The lamb cutlets had been overcooked then cut down the middle, butterflied ??? Why?? & then cooked til they were like old leather. The bread was cold, not crispy & warm like Turkish bread should be. They really need to pick up their game or they'll be gone....

The food was tasty, however the service was abysmal. The young girl who greeted us at lunchtime was disinterested and lazy. It was too much effort to show us to a table, hardly greeted us and did the bare minimum. I had to ask her twice for drinks and there was only one other customer so it was not busy. One of the plates she presented to us was dirty and when we requested another it was met with an eye roll and she returned with a chipped plate. Nor did she bother clearing the table. Even with the current COVID wave, she did not wipe the tables down as customers left.

Hands down, my favourite dine in/takeaway restaurant in Port Macquarie. Amazing Turkish food experience. Mixed BBQ Platter is one my favourites on the menu. The pides taste super fresh and cheesy. Have been a regular customer since this place opened, they have consistently maintained high standard of service and excellent quality of food. Definitely recommend! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
