The authentic Mexican food here is fantastic we had the duck and pork soft tacos then a steak narchos for main with a few Mexican beers and with out a doubt the best Mexican I have had , all made fresh buy the owners and couldn't fault it . If your looking for a great meal that's different to the usual steak and chips then this is your place , leave the kids at nans and head out for a romantic and satisfying meal you won't look back
We were happy we chose to eat here during our stay in Port Macquarie and throughly enjoyed our dining experience. Atmosphere was pleasant, Food was appetising. What a mixologist! The gentleman behind the bar created one of the most palatable cocktails I have ever tasted. (Try the Espresso Martini). Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable in regards to menu items. The churros were fresh and melt in your mouth. I will definitely be back.
If "Tex Mex" is your thing, this place is not for you.
If you like genuine, wholesome, tasty, fresh Mexican food made by a Mexican chef, with dishes you've probably never experienced which are "to die for", THIS is the place for you!
Throw in great desserts, excellent coffee, some interesting Tequilas, wonderful staff, and you're in for a great night. At last, something genuinely different in Port Macquarie.
Wholeheartedly recommended, and don't be put off by the barred windows. Ask Carlos, your host, about their folk origin. It's an interesting story.
Loved our dinner tonight, so nice to have authentic Mexican, cool tunes and to top it off such great happy service. If you want a place for dinner or lunch that has excellent service this is the place for you. Oh I nearly forgot about how good the margaritas were. Love love love this place. Thank you.
Great place to have real authentic Mexican food. Tasted like home!! We loved the attention to the details in the food and decoration of the restaurant, plus the creative drinks menu, that café de olla cocktail was amazing and the pozole yumm!!! Wow - what an experience! We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the upcoming dinner menu to be launched in a few weeks at Luna Bonita....Our gorgeous hosts Mireya and Carlos were fantastic and treated us to seven courses of the most divine Mexican Authentic cuisine...what can I say the fresh lime and prawn with avocado and pomegranate, cucumber with fresh lime, chilli and mango, the tostadas crisp and fresh, stuffed jalapenos were literally to die for, this was followed by a smoky Atlantic salmon with a mango and avocado puree, a provincial chicken dish with a super flavoursome tamarind sauce with pepita seeds, the Aztec Lasagne - totally gluten free and vegetarian this was followed by lime and rosemary sorbet - a little flavour bomb to cleanse the palate Dessert was a delicious Mexican cake made with three milks to include goats and coconut milk with a caramel sauce that was so sticky and delicious. All of this was matched with Margaritas, a selection of premium tequilas and fantastic company! We will be back! Thank you :-)
Attentive wait staff, fantastic bar staff who recommended great drinks and an owner that really cares about his business and keeping things authentic. This place has a great atmosphere and the food is amazing! We will definitely be back.
Great customer service and incredible food. The staff and owner were so friendly and had great suggestions on what to try and our lunch was so delicious and fresh! I can't recommend highly enough - we'll definitely be back!

First and foremost this venue has the Best Nachos I have ever tasted. As an example I have tried nachos from 4 continents. And specifically have Mexican as a staple in my diet and favourite foods. The complexity in layers of flavour, the portion size and the actual taste is amazing beyond what I could have possibly hoped. I have had to come back 2 nights in a row just to compare and the meal was the same. Exceptional in every aspect. I could not recommend highly enough
The Mexican cuisine was very nice, it was great to see nachos made properly with a cheese sauce and also having cactus on the menu.
The dark beer and cocktails also were very nice.
Great place for those who want a good quality Mexican experience.
Downsides in my opinion is being a little expensive and everything being digital, including taking of private information and the menus.

Where to start! The food was amazing! The portion size was big which is good as they let you take it home. The staff absolutely phenomenal! Carlos is an angel with a smooth voice as he played live guitar for the restaurant. The cocktail, Happy Sorrow, fantastic! Not too sweet, not to bitter with a nice smokey tang. Luna Bonita is definitely a go to next time I'm in Port Macquarie!
We stumbled on this place our first night in Port Macquarie. There was live music by Matt Brooker who had a great voice and was killer on the guitar, made for great atmosphere. Service was great and the food was excellent. Really glad we got the churros which came nice and warm which meant it was fresh. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Enfrijoladas was something different but delicious! Overall we had a wonderful night, loved the place ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely awesome Mexican feast is the best way to describe this place. Loved the design, the atmosphere (even with reduced capacity due to restrictions) and especially the food. Had the nachos with chilli and the Buffalo shrimps. Neither disappointed, in fact the nachos could probably serve two. Cocktails were excellent as well. Kids loved their burritos chosen from the kids menu.
