Review Oscar Cooper - Prahran

Karl Chong
Absolutely stunning. Going to try to come back tomorrow. One of the best cold brews I've ever had. Lovely staff and professional service. The vibe is good and everyone is happy. Lots of outdoor seating and we'll ventilated. Loved the chicken and gruyere jaffle, eat this first. But the winner is the eggs Benedict mushrooms. The mushrooms have a bit of a kick (spicy), and works well with the avocado mash and perfectly poached (like a Japanese ramen egg). The potato roesti on the bed of the dish is the winner. Would come back just to have this again. Went back the next day (Sunday 13 February 2022). Cold brews just as good as the previous day but the jaffle was a little dry today. The mushroom eggs Benedict was almost as good as the previous day, roesti was a little overcooked but the eggs were even better

Good coffee and juice. Disappointing eggs Benny. The hollandaise doesn’t taste like it and doesn’t have a lot of flavor. Avocado was over ripe and brown. The whole combination wasn’t so tasty. And my eggs were overdone and not runny but staff was friendly and happy to change them. Burrito was good though.

A delightful cafe that has both indoor and outdoor seating and is also very dog friendly. Lovely and attentive wait staff. It was my first time here and I ordered the reuben bagel and it was delish! Am certainly coming back to try more of the food!

Fantastic service and a great quiet street dining atmosphere. In addition, the food here and fruit smoothies are beyond fantastic, cannot rank highly enough and would recommend to anyone. Will be coming back here on a regular basis to try the rest of their menu.

This is a great brunch venue. There is plenty of outdoor seating so you can sit and people watch. The breakfast burrito was full of flavour, the hot sauce is served on the side so you can add as much or little heat as you want. The oat milk here was not my favourite, it tasted watery. The filter coffee was great. For us service was a clunky. Twice we ordered coffee and both times we had an issue (once they forgot a coffee, the second order took almost 20 minutes), not being in a rush I wasn’t angry at the wait, but it was noted.

Love this place! Super friendly, Dog friendly (although I would suggest an umbrella for the pooches as in full sun it can be hot). You can just keep ya dog under your outdoor table by your legs if they are calm and its fine). Food A-MAZING and the bloody Mary's are spicy good ❤️

Nice rolls and coffee, can't go wrong with bacon and eggs

Their cold brew was the best served by the attentive barista. I usually don’t give bad reviews to any business, but this time I feel like I need to do this for the sake of the people working for the business. I believe their management has changed, and the new owners are inexperienced in leading a team. The staff was stressed out and upset. Please, appreciate their hard work more and give the proper training as soon as possible. I am just trying to get some attention, and this review will self destruct soon.

Great function for birthdays and other special events staff very welcoming food was delicious great atmosphere located in a very good place. Would like to go back for brunch sometime in the future. Cheers Lana’s 21st was Amazing

I had a wonderful function at Oscar Cooper! The food was phenominal and the service was great! The atmosphere was brilliant and everyone really enjoyed themselves! Would highly recommend Oscar Cooper, oh and their espresso martini's are to die for!
Vanessa Harding
Great coffee, great service and the best eggs Benedict I've ever had on top of a potato rosti not bread which is worth a 6th star if you ask me. The staff make the whole experience on a cold wet autumn morning worth getting out of bed!

I had my 40th birthday function at Oscar Cooper on Saturday night and it was the perfect venue. The space was great, the food was great and the staff are really really helpful and lovely. Paul went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfectly organized and there wasn't one thing I would change about it. Definitely recommend it! We went there for breakfast the following day and were completely looked after. Overall a wonderful experience :-)

We had an amazing experience today. Arrived with a spectacular motley crew that seemed to expand infinitely and caused an absolute ruckus. The girl with the accent handled the stress and drama and incessant shouting like an honest-to-goodness queen. I didn’t really vibe the jaffles but the chips were stunning and she even got me HP sauce (unfortunately no gravy). Well worth the 10% public holiday surcharge (I’d pay 20%) and perfect for kick-ons after Boutique (which by the way is way better than Love Machine which is the absolute worst).

Delicious food especially their breakfast. Fast and efficient service staff are all happy and helpful great place to sit and relax

I must admit the food was very nice. We were asked to take our baby for a walk because he was too loud. My wife was soo embarised she almost broke to tears. Very disappointing end to a very nice breakfast. If this is how they treat customers with kids then I will not recommend people bringing there kids here. I normally never post complaints on social media but this is for my baby who is not even 2 yet. Is this the kind of un accommodating society we are turning into? Wow!!!

The coffee was great, as was the wagyu cheeseburger. Washed down with a recommended pale ale, Lord Nelson. Don't forget the chips, a great crunch. We'll be back.

Amazing venue, amazing staff... I have held 2 private functions at Oscar Cooper and both times the guests have not only commented on how great the food and atmosphere is, but have taken the details for their own future functions. Cannot commend Paul highly enough on a fantastic establishment!!

Went to Oscar Cooper last Weekend for Engagement party Great location Lovely finger food Service outstanding. Friendly, attentive, went out of their way to make sure all guests enjoyed their night, with attention to older relatives and younger children at the party. Spoiling us with frequent finger food treats. Upon leaving the Bouncer at the door , very pleasant and caring A great night

The chorizo baked eggs dish is awesome. I'd eat them for breakfast every day for the rest of my life if I could!

Yummy! Delicious! Tasty! Fresh food and a nice selection of drinks and quality coffee. Lovely friendly staff. Thankyou. See you again and again

I've just moved to this side of town and went for brunch this morning for the first time! Really impressive, food was phenomenal, staff were friendly and gave fantastic recommendations and service! Paul was equally as friendly and charming! Can't wait to come back! Well done guys!
Janine Pitman
Amazing food, fantastic helpful staff, but very noisy acoustics. Would highly recommend.

We had our engagement party here, and Paul and the team were amazing. They we accommodating with food requests and easy to deal with in the organising. On the night the staff were fantastic, making sure us as the host were well fed. The food was amazing and the drinks service was great. Much cheaper also than other function venues. Would recommend again.
Rueben Heenan
Would recommend, staff here are awesome and food & coffee just as good.
Amy Crow
Attended a private function here and the food was amazing and plentiful and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly! Thank you guys! Great night.
Steven James
Great food, good cocktails, awesome customer service, staff are friendly and helpful. Not badly priced either!

After researching a good place to grab breaky, I was so disappointed. The staff were rude. They got out order wrong which usually I don’t care too much for, but the waiter blamed me for their mistake. Then when the food came, the burrito was soggy. Wouldn’t bother coming again.
Sarah Quek
Ordered the falafel pita and Spaghetti Prawn Aglio Olio! Both were great dishes and the cafe is also placed in a great location. I’ll definitely be back to try the Reuben sandwich next time- it looked delicious!

Oscar Cooper is quite close to where I used to work and told Ozzy about it after lot of my friends recommended it to me. <br/><br/>The coffee at Oscar Cooper was outstanding and that kinda built a very high expectation for food. <br/><br/>Unfortunately, food was way beyond tart to handle. We just couldn't handle the sourness on the plate. Worst was the salt. Ugghhhh! Thank God portions were very small but what we paid seemed like a lot for the whole experience. <br/><br/>Never going to recommend to anyone.

Oscar Cooper is one of those cafes that has been around for the longest time. <br/>It is rare opportunity to be in Prahran and I decided to quickly stop by for breakfast.<br/><br/>🔆LOCATION🔆<br/><br/>Oscar Cooper is situated on the busy corner of Greville Street and Edmund Street. With the new Prahran Car Park that has recently opened up,it makes parking much more convenient. <br/>The cafe is very spacious with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating.<br/><br/>🔆SERVICE🔆<br/><br/>As soon as I walked in, I was promptly seated by very smiling and happy female waitress. Menu and water was placed on the table every so quickly and asked if I wanted a drink.  <br/>As soon as I placed my order, my meal was made quite fast and beautifully presented. I requested to change poached eggs to scrambled eggs and the female waitress responded very fast with a smile that it was not a problem and quickly took the menu away. Love the service.<br/><br/>🔆MENU/PRICE🔆<br/><br/>I ordered: <br/><br/>Oscar's benedict, $21.00<br/>(potato roesti, avocado, poached eggs, hollandaise with istra bacon)<br/>I replaced poached eggs with scrambled eggs<br/><br/>🔆VERDICT🔆<br/> <br/><br/>Delicious! <br/>I have had enough of poached eggs and just wanted something that was hearty and opt for scrambled eggs instead and the waitress was so accommodating to change it for me.<br/><br/>There was definitely generous amount of eggs and bacon.<br/>The poato roesti was also quite generous.<br/>I'm really glad they placed the hollandaise sauce in a separate little dish which I can adjust the taste/flavour with my meal when needed. <br/>Overall, had a very enjoyable breakfast and the atmosphere was very nice.

Really nice coffee and breakfast burrito. I would definitely go back!

Really nice place on a quiet part of Melbourne, here we are, the centre of the world! <br/>All the brunch classics are here but perfectly executed with a little Oscar Cooper twist. <br/>Great spot to come in the area!
Dijana
Dropped into Oscar Cooper on a weekday for a quick coffee and light breakfast prior to an appointment in the area. Gluten Free Bread is amazing! Fantastic service and lovely cozy ambience! Will have to come back one day when I’m not in such a hurry!
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
😱Lizzie’s first impression: I loved how it's on a corner and the place appears lively and full of people but not too overbearing that you can't hear the person next to you. <br/><br/>🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I only came here for drinks as it was nearing closing. The staff are particularly nice and accommodating - making sure we get our orders in before kitchen closes. The juices were particularly done well here - fresh and full of colour and choices. <br/><br/>🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: I'm not the biggest fan of Mork chocolate and I'm not sure if that's what they use but although it was creamy, I wasn't the biggest fan of it. <br/><br/>🥇Lizzie rates overall: it's a great place in Prahan and I would love to come back to try their dishes!

Very cosy and bustling little cafe that if you’re in the area is worth a trip. I had the bagel with smashed avo and beetroot and it was divine. The radishes in the dish were a wonderful little addition and changed the flavour of the whole dish. The juices were delicious as well.
LifestyleByLily
Had a gorgeous long weekend breakfast at Oscar Cooper.<br/>It was a busy little spot, even at 2pm on a Monday afternoon.<br/>I had the Baked Eggs option as it was a bit of a chilly afternoon.<br/>I loved the change from a tomato based sauce and I really can't say no to Ham hock
Kate Dougherty
Reliable cafe with friendly staff. I ordered the signature Eggs Benedict which is two poached eggs with hollandaise, bacon, smashed avocado on a potato rosti. A rich dish but really delicious. I’m not sure what type of bacon they use here but it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. The only draw back of the cafe is the noise levels.
Joanne | Melbournecitay
This establishment has been here for ages - and I fondly remember that my first brunch in Melbourne was actually here. Ordered the breakfast burrito and eggs ben again (we are such creatures of habit). The Husband loves the hot sauce that goes with the burrito but to me, their eggs ben is the best dish in this place! Well cooked potato Rosti with yummy avocado... portions aren’t massive but sufficient.

I normally love Oscar Cooper and recommend it to everyone because they do delicious chips and today was no exception. Unfortunately our other meals were not quite up there today with a slightly stale bagel and also the white cabbage in my calamari salad were all blackened i’m guessing it was just left out but they still served it which was a little disappointing.. it wasn’t as enjoyable trying to dodge all the cabbage pieces. Service was decent. Bloody Mary’s were very average.
Lunarcry
Place was pretty busy during lunch hours. Good food and good coffee. I had the smashed avocado which was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly.
Molly
food – delicious! particularly love the wasabi calamari with viet slaw and the home-made gnocchi <br/><br/>service – excellent! everyone received their meals in quick succession, staff were happy to accommodate special requests and were attentive without being pushy <br/><br/>ambience – humming with activity but not too loud to chat with your companions <br/> <br/>looking forward to coming back to try the jaffles :)

Very hard to get a table on the Sunday morning which is usually a good sign . As guessed it was , ordered 2 Oscar's benedicts one with added bacon and a juice . Great little spot tucked away in the back of chapel street away from all the hustle and bustle .
Matt Smith
The porridge oh myyyy so creamy! Lovely location and lovely food always. One of my go tos for brekky. I had lunch there for the first time the other day and it was delicious.

Would I return? For a cocktail in their outdoor seating area on a sunny day – 200%<br/> <br/>Oscar Cooper is a café in a cosy location of Prahran with a nice vibe. The café has lots of different seating options: booth, share table, window bench and outdoor. This makes it ideal for many different occasions. Catch up with friends and family or even on your lunch break or to have a rest in between shopping.<br/> <br/>Despite it being peak Saturday brunch time when I visited, my friend and I were seated straight away and our coffee order placed. The coffee came out quickly, was hot but not too hot and was tasty. We ordered Eggs Your Own Way and Oscar’s Benedict with Thyme Chilli Mushrooms $19. Both dishes were really delicious; just simple ingredients done really well. The meals were slightly expensive but the servings were large and it is Prahran after all.<br/> <br/>Service? Prompt and friendly.<br/>Wrap up: Overall good but expensive when considering all the factors.<br/>BONUS: They have $10 All Day Cocktails!

Excellent spot in Prahran for a munch and next level people watching from the window seats (What even is Prahran this was weekday brunch, how is everyone calmly having brunch as opposed to receiving passive aggressive e-mails from Carol in Human Resources). <br/><br/>Refreshing green juice hitting all the right feels, and the fried chicken sliders were crazemazing! <br/><br/>

I visit Oscar Cooper regularly so i thought it may be a good time to jump on a write a review. Great food, even better coffee and top it off, the staff are brilliant. Venue is warm and inviting in winter and in summer, you can sit outside in and sun and enjoy your meal without the foot traffic of chapel street.
Jamie
Stopped by after hearing a lot about this place. Despite it being peak Sunday brunch time, we luckily managed to get seated straight away. Our brunch started off with an overly-milky and disappointing flat white and a “buffalo soldier” fresh juice (consisting of watermelon, apple and mint) which came in a big glass which I thought was pretty good for $6 (especially in comparison to other places I’ve been to). <br/>We then received our southern fried chicken sliders, and pork and beef ragu gnocchi. The gnocchi was sadly really bland and disappointing; it had no real flavour and therefore nothing to make it memorable. Couldn’t even taste the cheese. The sliders however were much better. The chicken was crispy and flavourful, the sauce gave it a nice kick, and the buns were soft and lovely; fries were great too (though was surprised at the small portion). Overall, it was an average/somewhat disappointing experience.

My fiancé and I had our engagement party here last weekend and to say that everything was amazing is an understatement! Right from the very beginning from organising the date and food with Paul and having his assistance answering all questions right up to the night to everything being absolutely perfect on the night itself! A huge thanks to the amazing staff with a special shout out to Luke and Turbo you guys were legends! Coming from an Italian family to have them rave about how good the food was is a huge compliment!! From two very happy newly engaged customers THANK YOU for making our night an absolute breeze!! We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend this venue and team high enough for your next function! Thumbs up and five stars from us!!
Melbourne Food Freak
Liked their food, coffee was good. Service was great, environment was great. I think business like this should be spoken about more! I would go back anytime :)
Melbourne To Mouth
Officially my favourite place for a cold drip south of the city - perfect.<br/>Stopped here for breakfast before a meeting one day and service was super friendly, very prompt and the place is so cosy.<br/>Loved my breakfast burrito - such a generous serve and so many amazing flavours to kick start the day. I’ll definitely be back to try more of this menu!!
Split The Bill
Luke warm coffee on a Sunday morning makes me want to cry. It was bust with locals and we waited along time for our coffee. So disappointed.
Juerong Qiu
I ordered egg benny. It's the best benny I've ever tasted in Melbourne. It's so special and the bottom is made of potatoes. Crispy and soft. My friend ordered beef sth. It's not heavy at all. The beef steak is juicy and refreshing.
David Horgan
Best service, coffee and breakfast burrito!! Oscars special Benedict was sensational. Head waiter very gracious and welcoming, staff very friendly<br/>We will return.
Tasty Buds
Oscar Cooper, always on the ball. Amazingly friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious coffee and food. The toastie selection brings back old memories of cheese and vegemite toasties for dinner in the winter, creates a warm simplicity. The experience of the staff ensures a perfect visit every time!
Deep Animesh
Had a amazing breakfast on this amazing cold windy day in Prahran’s Oscar Cooper. Loved the location , it’s quite busy and crowded. Nice coffees ,tried these three items ( refer the pictures) and trust me all three were just amazing . Would definitely recommend everyone to visit this place for an delicious breakfast.
Miaolin Huang
A small and cozy place which near my workplace. Prefer the Jaffles more than the Oscars benny, however, it was not bad. My friend finished up her plate, so it might be good. Will go back again to try their lunch menu one day since it looks very attractive to me and also convenient for me to get to the corner.
PedGetsFed
Ordered the eggs benny with salmon, it was delicious, literally one of the best I've had...but oh so small and for $24 that's a stinger to leave hungry. <br/><br/>Try the benny (twice)!
Fat Bob
Great spot for breakfast half a block from Chapel St. Service was good and food recommendations spot on. Baked eggs were delicious.. thanks!<br/>
Mi55Bee
Coffee here was not bad, just a tad on the pricey side. Very friendly staff and service was great. Good selection of food including their jaffles yumm. Wait was longer than usual but environment very hippy
Sir Brunch-A-Lot
Nice vibe in a cute, cosy location. Really nice wait staff and quick service. I had the Brunswick St juice and the Belgium waffles with strawberries and cream. Both were really delicious; just simple ingredients done really well. Will definitely be returning!

One sunny weekend we decided to head to Prahran Market to buy some quality rump caps for a steak night (they are hard to come by locally!).  Anyway we thought we’d have some lunch around there before we did our grocery shopping and stumbled across Oscar Cooper! Nestled in the trendy Greville Street of Prahran, it looked like a popular hang out spot so we were drawn to it.
Bite The Looks By BHA
It was that summer time when i went to oscar cooper cafe to try their food. I ordered Raviolli chicken pasta and wagyu burger with chai latte & ice chocolate mixed with banana milkshake. It was a really good lunch!the food was huge. we sit near open window, we chit-chatin’ and we can see all the view outside the cafe . Nice ambiance and good people from the cafe. Overall, satisfaction complete #BHAsFoodDiary

Lovely atmosphere. Nice breakfast menu, also the jaffles are great and recommend having one even to share just to get a taste. Could easily be a local favorite.

Amazing food and super friendly attentive staff! There was a group of 5 of us who went here for brunch on Saturday and we all loved our meals! I got an espresso martini and the baked eggs and both were really good and hit the spot! Definitely coming back here 😊
Cassy Khor
Food was amazing, eggs were perfectly done and staff was friendly (: Favourite dish was the Oscar's benedict with mushrooms. Definitely hands down one if my favourite cafes in Melbourne.
Hamed Khabbaz
The best coffee I’ve had in Prahran all weekend. The chilli scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious. Lovely atmosphere here. I’ll definitely be back.

We decided to check out Chapel St brunch spots today, Sun 21 Jan 2018 - started with this one. Around 12 noon it was almost full but still possible to get a table for two. Were greeted by a friendly staff member once inside. Ordered fattoush salad with grilled chicken (for myself) and smashed avo on a bagel with two poached eggs for my wife. What can I say? The food was fan-tas-tic - taste, flavour and all! Sizeable portions as well...Service was very friendly and prompt. I just LOVED my salad! Trendy atmosphere, interesting area (Greville St, off Chapel). Prices - very reasonable. We really enjoyed the experience.<br/><br/>Overall - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Who Loves Good Food
Awesome coffee! Cauliflower fritters sounded healthy but would have loved more stuff on the plate. It was just fried cauliflower with tomato sauce, cheese & egg. The Oscar’s benny, on the other hand, was super yummy, every bite was heavenly!
Aubrey
Met a friend here for lunch yesterday and it was surprisingly good. I had the fattoush which was so delicious - the salad itself and the harissa dressing was mouthwatering! The homemade falafels were nice too. Give the fattoush a try the next time you’re there - you won’t be disappointed.
Dimsumforone
Ratio decidendi: Add this one to the list. Great breakfast menu, with the highlight being steak & eggs which as baller as it might seem for the time of day, (Hawksmoor, I’m lookin’ at you), is remarkably good value at $23! The edges of the egg whites had that crispy crunchy edge that I absolutely adore and the textural symphony of the steak, potato shards, king mushrooms and one-two sauce hit combo of pesto and bernaise added up to the best brunch dish I’ve had in quite some time.
Mysy
With so much competition in Melbourne, I'm glad O.C has lived up to it's reputation! I particularly love the rosti dish - please don't ever remove that from the menu 😍 if it's your first time here i would highly recommend trying this because you'll definitely be back for more. Such a lovely spot too. The window seatings r da bomb.

Great place to spend the morning with Family!! They have huge range of breakfast from light to heavy one! The food taste good!! Everyone satisfied with the order! Coffee was ok.

One of my favourites in melbourne:-) <br/>Amazing food and coffee and juice! I want to go back and try the carbonara gnocchi soon. Perfect for a sunny day!
Mikaela Atlanta Fent
Friendly service, good coffee and great food! Bit of a wait on a Saturday for brunch however worth the wait. Will definitely be making it a regular brunch spot!
Sara Hekmat
Hands down my new favourite place for lunch/brunch in melb. Best salad i've had in a while- can't remember the name but it's part of their new spring menu and it comes with falafel and i've added grilled chicken. Southern fried chicken sliders are also great and we've come back several times for them. They have the friendliest staff too who always make time for a chat. Can't fault this place 🙌🏻
Jessica Orrey
The chorizo baked eggs dish is absolutely awesome. I'd eat them for breakfast every day for the rest of my life if I could! My partner had major food envy.
Julia Stehli
I went there a few months ago in autumn on a sunny Sunday morning. The best thing here is definitely the location and nice out door seating area. The rest is rather mediocre and the food definitely below average in Melbourne. My pancakes arrived dry and cold.
Just A Girl Who Loves Food
Came here by myself for a quick email stop and lunch. Staff were really friendly and very attentive. Really enjoyed the seared greens and was full of flavour. The cafe itself was beautifully set out and bright. Would've loved to sit outside if the weather allowed, but all in all I had a great experience here.
Sarah
Finally made it here! No wonder there's always a crowd on the weekends with the yummy smell of jaffles wafting onto the street. I went for the spicy baked eggs with mushrooms and it was the best version I've had in Melbourne👌🏼
EJA
I'm going to be honest, I want to like this place more. Coffee, juices and food are nice.  Service is good most of the time.  Great for a sunny afternoon sitting out in the sun.
Judywang.mel
Love their coffee! A little bit of smokey taste blended in it which was wonderful. Also love their spicy mac&cheese jaffle! The lamb is also delicious. Service was efficient and quick! Will try a second time.

Walking past this place day by day and finally going through the doors, i would have never expected this to be "the place" where friends hang out and a pick me up coffee place.<br/><br/>At the intersection near Prahran station this is place is a gem with friendly staff and lovely food.<br/><br/>I ordered the Breakfast special with a soft 馒头(man tou) as the bread with a bang of spice in the pork and spreaded on top was a fusion of sour cream with a strong tangy sour taste to it. Of course, with a soft sunny side egg on the top.<br/><br/>The taste overall: 7.8/10, i really liked how they used man tou bread which was soft and chewy really complementing the texture of the sour cream and the taste of the egg.<br/>But the sour cream definetly overpowered the whole dish. The sour and tangy taste really covered my palette considering the heavily spiced pork, the two did not complement each other.<br/>This dish was exotic and definetly a fusion of many cultures, it was still wonderful to experience and you must definetly try out this place + theres free wifi! 👍👍Great for students and a get away from the office.<br/><br/>
Lisa Giles
Both times I've eaten here was not planned, but I enjoyed each time! We stumbled across this place in Prahran and a few of us ordered the potato rosti Benedict, which was really tasty. The second time I ordered the asparagus dish which was also nice, but probably not as flavoursome as my bf's order of the breakfast burrito (which was delicious and I would recommend, but also would have been perfect with some more salsa/sauce!) I really want to return to try the jaffles, and the lunch menu.
Briony Barnard
I'm never disappointed here! Seated quickly, the food is delicious, lots of variety on the menu and who can pass up $10 cocktails and jaffles.
Amanda Ng
Visited on a Sunday Morning just before the Wicked Chocolate Festival at Prahran and it was so crowded. Settled for a window seat which gave us ample lighting for our photos but it became clear that the place was packed with conversations - it was hard to maintain one! <br/><br/>Benedict was amazing - rosti, avocado, eggs, hollandaise and bacon. Perfect combination and wasn't too much nor little. Delightful. The seasonal asparagus on the other hand was sad. No more than 10 stalks and it barely filled half my stomach. For $18, I wouldn't get it again. The Flavours was undoubtedly lovely with the cauliflower bits and creamy hollandaise but other than that - it wasn't worth. <br/><br/>Would I come back? For the Benedict - anyday. But don't expect to see me if they're out!
Hungry Ronin
This place is loud. It wasn't a very good ambiance for a one on one catchup. But service was top notch and our meals of squid ink linguini and salad was fresh, packed with flavor and utilised great produce. Can not fault OC, but neither was it outstandingly so that I would immediate return.
Maddie Kingham
Came here for brunch with my partner. The atmosphere is good, and there was a nice open fireplace which added a toasty feel to a cold melbourne day. We started with an ice-coffee. I got the ice-coffee (which comes with ice cream) and Josh got the ice-latte which doesn't. Mine was nicer 😏. For food, Josh ordered a breakfast burrito, it was huge! Josh gave me a bite and it was yummy- the egg was well cooked, bacon crispy, and I loved the addition of red onion. I ordered the tomato, Pesto and bocconcini toasted sandwich. I was a little underwhelmed with this one- it was kind of bland and lacked any punch in flavour. I was going to get the Chicken, Chive and Gruyere Toastie but I felt it would have needed Avocado in it and they weren't able to add it in as the sandwiches aren't made to order. We also got some hot chips on the side (because, duh!) and they were crispy, well seasoned and a generous portion for $3.50- enough for 2 to share!
Wandering Ella
Overall, try the: Hotcakes <br/><br/>Strawberry and ricotta hotcakes<br/>As pretty as a picture, and definitely as good as it looks. I usually get pretty sick after one hotcake in hotcake brekkie dishes - but I could've just finished this all if I wasn't trying to be cordial to my eating buddy! Everything went so amazingly well together, the coulis had just the perfect amount of acidity to complement and cut into the hotcakes. I loved how there were berries lodged inside the hotcakes! The shortbread sprinkles also made the dish so decadent. Would go back to Oscar Cooper to get a second fix. <br/><br/>Eggs benedict on rosti<br/>The eggs were beautifully cooked and still oozy in the centre. The mushrooms were just bursting with flavour and the hollandaise on top gels everything together.
Jesse
Very friendly staff, prompt service and wonderful food. A decent sized menu with a lot to choose from and a great selection on the specials board. Excellent value for money.
IsFoodIsGood
Great service coupled with great tasting food.<br/>The staff we're quick to seat us and bring us water and menus. There was a lot of staff which is lovely to see to cope with the load of Saturday morning brunch.<br/>I ordered the asparagus poached eggs dish and my friend, the oscar benedict.<br/>My serving size was just for someone with my appetite. It was tasty and the cauliflower crumb was a great crunch factor to the dish.<br/>My friend's oscar Benedict was on the smaller size, it's only one piece and the hollandaise to dish ratio was a little off.<br/>We also had a juice each - both, very very refreshing.<br/>Definitely going to come back to try a Jaffle!
Mel
Fantastic spot. I had a late morning brunch here and ended up having cocktails into the afternoon with a girlfriend. <br/>Benedict with potato rosti was delicious and certainly couldn't complain about the cocktails that followed!<br/>Wonderful service. Only reason I couldn't give this place a 5 was the tables were a tad crowded and it was fairly awkward when someone needed to walk past, felt like they were going to take your coffee out with their butts as they shuffled through. All in all, a great spot and I'll definitely be returning 😀
Foodinfocusz
Oscar Cooper, apart from the great name, has a really interesting menu and friendly staff. So refreshing to see avocado on the menu but not the damn squashed version. Dare to be different Oscar! We loved our choice of dishes and the fact they were just that little bit different with good flavour combinations!
Colin
Excellent food and coffee with super friendly service.<br/>Great spot in the middle of Greville Street with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has enough variety to suit a range of tastes and all sounded delicious.

Have held 2 functions, one being my own 21st, and been a guest at another at Oscar Cooper and each time they have been amazing. Very accommodating, understanding and helpful! At my recent 21st, they made sure my night went off without a hitch and it all ran smoothly, they did everything I asked for. <br/><br/>The food was delicious, all my guests made comments at how the food was some of the best they'd ever had at a venue for a birthday or function. <br/><br/>The staff, waiters/waitresses and bartenders too, were all lovely and helpful! Guests even commented on how great they all were! <br/><br/>Will definitely be coming back for breakfast as suggested by one of their lovely staff members and hopefully I can find another event to host there one day!

Been here a few times, and food overall is good.<br/>I find the benny and calamari pretty good.<br/>Coffee is also pretty good.<br/>Perfect place when the sun is out!<br/>Presentation and staffs are also on par.<br/>Would defo come back again when I'm near the area.
Must Try Melbourne
Been numerous times and everything is always on point. This time I had the sriracha crusted calamari salad which was amazing. It was quite spicy so if your not into that just ask for them to leave out the chillies. <br/>My friend had the southern fried chicken sliders which I'll definitely be ordering next time! <br/>Service is always good, staff are very polite and the meals came out quick.<br/>Also good on a warm day to try grab a table outside and catch some sun.

We loved our visit to Oscar Cooper! The staff there were very helpful and welcoming. Our food and drinks came out straight away and were delicious! A standout and must order is the baked eggs with flat bread! If you aren't a fan of such spicy food we’d advise getting chorizo instead of ‘nduja' as it was quite hot and spicy. Definitely worth a visit if you're down Greville street or in the area, perfect for a summer brunch!
Good Food Good Mood
Sat down to a Brunswick st special (green juice) and the muesli. If I had my time again I would stay far far away from that unbalanced, full of dried fruit, far too sweet situation. There's literally nothing worse than thinking you are choosing something healthy and getting artificial rubbish. That said there are a lot of other tempting things on the menu but I'm not sure I would return given how disappointed I was with my breakfast. Not to mention the fact that I waited for a table and experienced food like that. About the only positive was sitting outside in the lovely sun

Always enjoy the food here. I travel from Essendon for a garanteed satisfying feed.<br/>Friendly staff, quick service, great coffee and even better food. It always tastes fresh and I don't think I've ever left here feeling gross or heavy.<br/>If you don't have any reliable friends, or food to pick you up from a shitty break up, this has done the trick for me 😊

Yummmmm! The eggs Benedict were to die for. I added the bacon because bacon is life. There were not many gluten free options, which was a bit of a bummer. I would definitely go back for the benny though.

Great food, great friendly service. A little busy on a Sunday morning so you may have to wait a little extra but expected when its good like this. Wasn't daring enough to order the salt cod but tried my husband's and it was amazing. Had the eggs Benedict with bacon and again amazing. Must try!

Great service, staff are friendly and accommodating the food is amazing and the cocktails are just delicious. <br/>My favorite - I cant go past the roasted heirloom tomatoes or the avocado!

Went here a few weekends ago and booked for a party of 5... the staff were very good, we had 2 people arrive 20 minutes late and given how busy brunch cafes are on Sundays, they didn't rush us or bother us. <br/><br/>Everyone enjoyed their meals, most of us had the cod cake and thought it was a brilliant menu item and very different from what is offered at so many good cafes in Melbourne. The coffee is also great and a bonus is that tables are roomy and far away enough from others so you don't have to whisper to have a conversation.
Luke And Hannah
Great food, fast service, order system needs a bit of work. We got here at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon and there were at least 5 tables available - lucky us! Here we ordered the Oscar benedict which was great but also pretty standard. Luke didn't enjoy the potato base much as it was slightly oily and was falling apart - making it difficult to pick it up with a fork. Hannah tried the southern chicken sliders and it was delicious. The chicken was moist. The slightly sweet bacon sauce really made the dish different and tasty. The accompanying chips were also yum - crunchy and not oily. We'd love it if they would switch to making southern fried chicken full-on - Luke doesn't mind a basket of these goodness.

Love this place, service is great. Great for arvo drinks. Great vibe, really good for a hang over meal too! Overall just a pumping joint in a great location! Great!

Coffee here is consistently spot on (I get one daily), service is perfect and every meal I've had has been delicious. Definitely one of the best cafes I have been to.<br/><br/>Also their Bloody Mary's are on point 👌

One of my favourite local cafes. You can't go past the Oscar benedict with bacon added it's very yummy. It can be busy at times but I've never had to wait long for a table.

We just enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a cool place on Greville Street. Proseco to start then our mains and more proseco! The service was friendly and spot on. The food was fantastic. We sat at the bench facing out into the street- ideal for people watching.<br/>The salad was delicious as was my friends lamb. We shared a molten chocolate cake.too.
BIRCHER QUEEN 👑
Really friendly and attentive service! The Bircher was huge and great value for money! The consistency of the Bircher was perfect but the berry / lemon flavours were slightly bitter and tasted a little weird together. I asked for a sprinkle of granola on top to add extra crunch. Great texture but the flavour was bland. Both of my friends said their eggs were great!

For years I was obsessed with the wagyu burger (once at 5 in a week), then it was the breakfast burrito- best preworkout meal I can think of but now I'm in love with Oscar Benedict.
The Muesli Addict
Ambience:4/5<br/>Service:5/5<br/>Presentation:4/5<br/>Food:4/5 Coffee:4/5<br/>Very friendly service. Two thumbs up for that! Loved this place since the first time i visited earlier in the year. Bircher and porridge are delicious. Bircher would be perfect if there were some granola or toasted muesli as well. The bf whom is really picky with brunch food loved his spicy baked eggs. Third time here and will definitely be back again!

Another popular brunch spot in the downtown of Prahran - Oscar Cooper. Despite being a constantly busy cafe, the staffs are efficient and friendly. The food and coffee are consistently well made and delicious. On the whole, it was a nice brunch experience and simply enjoyable.

Something New <br/><br/>Never knew theres such interesting place in Melbourne. Its quite many car pass by yet still feel so peaceful. Interesting. <br/><br/>I love this place because it gives you a peaceful feeling even thou its quite crowded in this cafe. They have a sit that look over the road. Which makes it a really strategic sit if youre alone and wanted to feel peaceful despite of its busy business. <br/><br/>Ordered : <br/>- Beef burger (lunch menu)<br/> Oh my, I like this burger. So juicy ! And the chips was also really good. Yummy. <br/><br/>- Baked scramble egg <br/> This is a really interesting dish. Usually we have normal baked egg. But this time, it is a baked scramble egg. It taste good. But after I eat half of it, I feel a bit too much. Maybe because this dish has quite a lot of butter in it. But pretty interesting dish. <br/><br/>- Salmon and Mushroom (sides)<br/> Well like usual salmon and not so spicy mushroom. <br/><br/>I enjoy eating at this place because i truly feel very peaceful. Looking at those people walking around and enjoy my food. Its a pretty good place to hang out too thou ! And i think the martini espresso is really good. Many people order it ! Maybe you should try it ? <br/><br/>Hope you guys enjoy your time here ! Cheers !

The of the best cafes in Prahran hands down. Great service and coffee. A creative menu makes the whole experience so awesome. We've tried most dishes on the menu in several occasions and they are pretty good. Some of them are inspired by Asian or Spanish cuisine. As you may or may not know, Melbourne is probably the most multicultural city in the World in term of the food and Osper Cooper nails it nicely. Highly recommend for those who love something outside the box and pretty much all of you foodies.

A cheeky mid week breakfast date meant that this popular Prahran premises was laidback and leisurely and the frantic, hectic weekend crowds were avoided. We were able to relax and smell the awesome coffee and enjoy an indulgent breakfast served by personable and friendly FOH staff - perfect!. Oh the Oscar Benedict! Truly a stellar choice; crispy potato rosti replaces the English muffin and beautiful bacon lies on a bed of mashed avocado for another Oscar twist on the classic. What remains true to textbook though are wonderful poached eggs with oozing, orange yolks and a tangy Hollandaise sauce that in spite of its creaminess cuts through all the richness.

<br/>Oscar cooper will never disappoint you, even with the simplest breakfast meal.

Literally one step from my house but I'm always getting lazy to try it out xD<br/>It was a nice place. The location is gold as it's very chill and warm in the morning. I love the vibe, busy but not noisy. Everything is just perfect. Nice service and good food.<br/>Will come back to try another dish. Highly recommended.

Best chicken sliders ever! The bacon jam was amazing! Great tasty chips. There were 3 of us so we all tried something different and shared a jaffle(toastie) too! Food was hot tasty only complaint is the brioche bread was a bit on the well done side, which you couldn't see because of the choc sauce but you could definitely taste it. Staff were very friendly and great service was provided. The jaffle specials were creative but we went with the usual Hamm cheese tomato it was yummy. I'll be bringing more friends back here.<br/><br/>*****<br/>March 2018<br/><br/>Came back to try breakfast, the istra bacon was so tasty and I asked for crispy and the chef did not disappoint! You could tell that the sourdough was fresh and very good quality, we enquired where they got it from and they advised it was Baker Boys. The poached eggs were perfect, runny yolk and whites were cooked through. Rosti was nice but I regretted getting it as Benedict as the avocado made it soggy, but that’s just personal preference. The lemon myrtle tea was a nice change from the usual choices. If I was hungry enough I would have also tried the Gruyere toastie! Great place, friendly staff and quick service, ticks all the boxes.

Visited Oscar Cooper on Sunday for lunch. Ordered the baked banana loaf with cinnamon cream. It was delicious and very filling. Also had the strawberry fields juice, which was amazing. We waited a little while for a table but that's to be expected.
Check Please
We are spoilt for choice in Prahran, and my first visit to Ocsar Cooper was a happy experience.  Friendly competent staff, a cracker brekkie of Eggs Benedict (on rosti) and bacon was great, and so was the coffee.  Recommend.
