Review Chatty Vespa - Prahran

Every single time I order they accept the order, take the money then cancel an hour or so later usually well after it is already supposed to be delivered & takes 3 - 5 days for my $ to be returned, this has now happened several times about 6 months apart, then for some reason I try to give them another chance then this happens again. Don’t bother, they have terrible service & the pizzas were never that good anyway. Just avoid them. Plenty of other good pizza places around.

Perfect place to satisfy a pizza craving and not feel heavy afterwards. Chatty Vespa has a very European facade, giving it a unique look for a pizza shop and matching the European charm of this part of Prahran. I was craving a pizza, and so I came here. We were served by a very friendly staff who accommodated us to sit and eat in the shop. We ordered a half mexican half lamb pizza. It was absolutely delicious. Ingredients were fresh and you could taste everything. The base is quite thin and crisp, making it a light pizza that does not make you feel heavy afterwards.

Pretty straight forward Pizza delivery experience. We got the Vespa Delux Pizza and some onion rings. Probably will skip on the onion rings next time, for $6 I don't think we got a justified amount. The Pizza was pretty decent, we weren't lacking any toping at all.

Everything was just ok. Standard pizza, pasta. Ordered through Uber Eats and we were missing an item. I asked the delivery driver about our drink missing and the gentleman mentioned he wasn't given the item. I called the restaurant and I think they told a cheeky white lie that they packed it. Any who, pretty meh food 😔

It's gone off a bit recently. The pizza I ordered was really doughhy and they didn't cook it enough. Have tried twice now and each time it's been the same. Really disappointing.

We ordered Chatty Vespa from their website on a Thursday night during the dinner rush and had no problems. We ordered the Gourmet 2 deal which included 2 large gourmet pizzas, 2 garlic breads, a bottled 1.25 liter drink and 2 chocolate mousse desserts for $48. The photos don't do the pizza size justice as we were pleasantly surprised and full after only eating half our pizza and one garlic bread. The pizzas were excellent. We ordered the garlic prawn and the BBQ chicken. They were thin crust, loaded with toppings and absolutely delicious. The garlic bread arrived still hot with a molten cheesy and buttery filling. The pizza arrived about ten minutes early from the scheduled delivery time of 7:55 P.M. We'll definitely be visiting and ordering from the Vespa again!

we ordered delivery, but the store made a mistake, which is fine -these things happen. when we called the staff told us they wouldnt help us fix the issue because we ordered a deal from their website and they were busy with other orders, even after escalating to the manager she refused to acknowledge that the right thing to do was to offer a refund or the correct product. very disappointing as we do order often

My son and I love their pizzas! We always order half and half and they are delicious! Staff are so friendly and happy to have a chat with you. We have a pizza place under our building but travel to chatty Vespa as their pizzas are amazing

Shoutout to these guys after I had an awful day - ordered a pizza - dropped said pizza and had a meltdown in front of the delivery guy who gave me a tissue and got me a new pizza. Was super delish and really generous of them! I won't be going anywhere else for my pizza from now on!

Very average standard and not gourmet at all - what you’d expect from a greasy fish & chips or truck stop.

Chatty Vespa made their way to 3 strikes very quickly. 1) 1.5 hour delivery time is unacceptable 2) sent the wrong pizzas and they acted like complete dicks when we called to query this. 3) so the dicks sent burned replacement pizza. Thanks dicks. Couldn't be bother calling due to the dickness previously. Chucked out the pizza and called crust. You're out CV. Pfft.

The service here is amazing! The guys are so friendly and the pizzas are pretty damn good too!

Quirky, bright, fun but most importantly the pizzas are out of this world. The base is crunchy delicious, the ingredients are real food, the service is lovely and the boxes double up as plates/take-away containers. $8 locals lunch special on every day. Winning.

Normally I give these guys a 5/5 ... We used them for our engagement party which was like 20 pizzas and they are our go to pizza joint. That was all until I called to make and order but before I did I thought I would ask about these vouchers we were given a few months ago for free pizzas....... Not only did old mate on the phone first try to tell me that they were expired and not valid. I explained there was no expiry date, The guy checked with his manager, who confirmed they are valid (but only for a medium pizza) None of this was too bad, customer service wasn't excellent but I thought since the pizza is good, he was probably just under the pump. The problem is old mate who answered pretty much steam rolled me off the phone before he even let me order! didn't ask if I wanted anything just gave me the old "Ok Thanks Bye" Unfortunately guys, as much as it hurts me to do it.. your magnet will be removed from our fridge and we will say to our friends; "The last Chatty vespa pizza we had was good.. and their service used to be brilliant... but now... not so much". Really really really bad.<br/>It’s a pity that Prahran’s best pizza restaurants weren’t doing takeaway last night as that is what lead us to this place. Rocked up at the advised time and then had to wait an extra 15 mins for overcooked, bland pizza with a toast-like base. They couldn’t even follow the simple instruction of “no pineapple” and one of pizza makers thought that protecting his chin with his covid mask was a better idea than covering his nose and mouth. Never, ever again.<br/><br/>

We’ve ordered pizzas from Chatty Vespa a few times now and they’re pretty good. They have lots of options to choose from which I love. Highlights are the “med lamb” and the “bocc on baby”. Mmm pizza - it’s the actual best!

Our faves are the BBQ Chicken, Peri Peri, Meatlovers, Garlic Pizza... oh my the list goes on! <br/><br/>We order pretty much every Friday night but missed the last one as tried a new place - Chatty Vespa has super fresh pizzas and really fast service ever time. <br/><br/>The chicken tandoori pizza is also a fave. Terrible experience. Pizza arrived completely burnt and hardly any tomato sauce base on a margarita pizza. Crust was so dry. Disgusting. Will never order again or recommend to anyone.

These guys are one of the better pizza delivery services in the area! Not only do I love the name, they have so many options to choose from and their menu covers a lot of ground. Lots of flavour and deliver in a pretty decent amount of time even in peak hours. Definitely recommend them for those lazy nights at home.

I ordered a bottle of the house red and a lamb pizza from here tonight. <br/><br/>CV rang to say they could not supply the red, so I accepted white instead. They sent a complimentary mousse because of that and I appreciate the gesture.<br/><br/>Pizza not great. Cold, gluggy toppings and I think the entire pizza had about three pieces of lamb on it. <br/><br/>Wouldn’t repeat.

We ordered a delivery not long ago, and were very happy with the quality.<br/>As someone that eats only vegetarian pizzas, most places don't offer to many topping options.<br/>It is especially hard too find a casual pizza place with value for money and taste.<br/>Here, however, toppings were fresh and tasty. Dough was good as well, not too fatty like many other places. Delivery was quick too.<br/>I like their name as well :-), will order again.

The pizza used to be really good but has now completely changed. Pizza tasted worse than the ones you get from the supermarket frozen isle. I will never order pizza from here again.

Excellent pizza with good quality ingredients. This is my go to pizza joint. The prawn and chorizo is spot on. Great value too with 10% online discount.

Pizza was great, original toppings that really work well together. We also ordered a pasta - would give that a miss next time. Also would not reorder the coconut water from there 😳.

The pizza is great, wasn't soggy. The crust was 😍 almost a mix between the traditional and woodfire. The goats cheese fresh and full of flavour!! .

While none of the dishes were remarkable per se, it was most definitely enjoyable and tasty indeed. Made with fresh, wholesome ingredients, both the pizzas and pastas here offers a taste of authenticity with modern twists thrown in.<br/>While it may not be worth it to specifically make the venture out, it’s most definitely worth a try when in the area, and I for sure will be ordering again!

Could easy be the best pasta in Melbourne! After seeing these guys on social media and seeing my favourite food bloggers rate this place highly I knew I had to give it a shot and damn I'm glad I did! Place is a must try, add them to your list and do it now!

Don't usually share reviews but felt compelled to post after my average experience. Walked in 7 months pregnant, ordered some take away lasagne, and one of the staff members was kind enough to offer me a glass of water and a seat. The chef then pulled him out the back and yelled at him for speaking to me, saying customer service isn't his job. Sat there feeling horrible like I just got someone fired, and then the chef served me the worst lasagne I've ever had...and I paid $18 for it. Don't bother, this place is terrible.

Margarita pizza is always hit and miss at pizza places, this was hands down the best pizza I've had in a long time, the Napoli sauce tasted awesome!! <br/><br/>Tried my partners Mary Mary and it was Devine, good quality lamb 💕<br/><br/>Quick wait time and reasonable price.<br/>Would go again

Eaten from here before and it was nice. this time was an utter disappointment. Pizza was awful, one of them was quite burnt. the pasta wasn't great... wont be going back. Stick with Fratellino's or Ecco or Willow pizza.

Gr8 food- gr8 service, gr8 price this place is going to give the other Prahran pretentious pizza shops a run for their money - when you feel like a Real pizza, make sure you try chatty Vespa - not pretentious- just good food😜🍻👌💋

Ordered 3 Pizzas for delivery from Chatty Vespa last night and all 3 were great! Driver rocked up on time and what I took hold off looked exactly like the pizza in the picture on the website! I know crazy right! if only the hamburger joints I frequent could pull this off!<br/>Good pizza well priced and great quality toppings.<br/>Recommended

Great pizza. Have ordered the Pro Shooter and the Prawn Garden (pick-up) on a couple of occasions and both pizza's were delicious both times. Will definitely be returning!

Decided to order takeaway from here based on the positive reviews on Menulog, and really happy that I made that decision! The Carnivore was SOOO good - big chunks of juicy pork sausage and delicious fior de latte sprinkled over the top. The Prawn Garden was also really tasty - very simple ingredients but done extremely well. Bases are thin and crispy. Saturday night delivery arrived within 30 mins and the pizzas were piping hot. Very impressed and will be ordering again!

Have been to Chatty Vespa a handfull of times, you get good bang for your buck with generous toppings, fresh ingredients and overall really tastey pizzas.

Have had a few pizzas from chatty vespa, delicious pizza, perfect crust, not the oily heavy pizza you get from other pizza places in the area. Awsome friendly staff :)

Ordered a takeaway delivery a few weeks back and was seriously unimpressed.<br/><br/>Ordered the eggplant lasagne dish in a main size. Forty five minutes later and the most appalling delivery I've ever received arrived.<br/><br/>For nearly $20 I received three tiny pieces in a watery sauce. The middle was congealed and cold - like it had been cooked sometime ago. The edges were completely stale.<br/><br/>I called - no answer, so I emailed the address on their leaflet and website. Two weeks later and no response or acknowledgement. Didn't want to write a bad review but when given the chance to get back to me, they didn't. <br/><br/>Won't try again.

Chatty Vespa may not be the next 400 Gradi/DOC/Ladro/ [insert-amazing-higher-brow-pizza-place here] but they are certainly causing a stir. Delivering great quality pizza with a thin crispy base loaded with quality Aussie ingredients, for delivery and takeaway, to the people of Prahran/South Yarra/Toorak/Windsor, Chatty Vespa are a welcome addition to Melbourne’s pizza delivery scene.

Pretty impressive. We normally don't go out of our way for pizzas, but this was totally worth the trip. Pizza base was awesome and toppings were novel and delicious. . Kitchen crew were friendly and I didn't have a critical thing to say. Just exceptional pizzas made by passionate professionals for great value. Would come back for more. Highly recommended.

I soon realised a Chatty Vespa pizza can easily feed two rather than the one-person-per-gourmet-pizza rule of thumb elsewhere.  I was very intrigued by the Plant Powered pizza. This was my pick for the night. It had broccoli, artichoke, goats fetta, fior di latte on a basil pesto base. It was creative and delicious. In addition to fab pizzas, Chatty Vespa has their own drop of fine vino. Also their drinks cabinet are stocked with all sorts of organic libations.

The ‘Farmers’ pizza – can’t go wrong with bacon, marinated baked potato and a pinch of chili flakes. As The Beatles so famously sung, “All You Need is Pizza” … or something like that. I’m bad with lyrics. The point is, pizza pretty much makes the world go round and as such it’s always exciting to learn of new pizzerias in town.

With an easy to use online site to order and a list of tantalising options to choose from you will be so happy when you hear that distinct Vespa growl coming towards you with steaming hot pizzas for everyone. We were lucky enough to be invited to try out the Chatty Vespa and we were stuck on what to choose from all the great flavour combos on the menu. The Focaccia with tomato passata, fior di latte, parmesan, garlic, oregano, parsley is a must…

Excellent take-away pizza! Cheap and delicious! Better than most pizza places in the area, with fresh ingediants and good portions. They have all the pizza classics plus some tasty gourmet alternatives. Highly recommended.

True Gourmet Pizza. Gourmet pizzas can be a term bandied around, however here, they really are. We ordered via delivery, pizzas arrived warm & on time. The driver was organized, processing payment quickly. We had 4 different pizzas , all delicious. An area for improvement might be to hold back on the oil. Pizza box bases that are soggy with oil, is a salient reminder that you should indulge sparingly.

Wow fantastic pizza. I've had 2 pizzas from Chatty Vespa now and I have to say they are the best Pizzas I've ever had. Today I had the lunch time special Farmer and it was awesome.

Quality. Rare to get such a good home delivered pizza. Great base and ingredients in a convertible pizza box !
