I first came here on the weekend when I was shopping at the market. I got the tran special. It was full of flavour and the roll was packed. It was the best bun mai I have ever had. They even put a free spring roll in the bag for me to try š
Two weeks later I took my partner. I got the tran special again and my partner got the chicken. He also loved this place. He tried mine and was like wow. Yours is full on! Canāt wait to go back again!
Banh Mi on Chapel Street? Sure, why not. I was pleasantly surprised by the roast pork banh mi here. The roll was soft (not crusty, but that's ok...sometimes the crusty rolls are abrasive on my palate) and longer than most other places. The fillings were fresh, texturally interesting and just plain delicious. It was certainly pricier than other banh mis around town but it was Chapel Street after all. The ladies serving at the counter were super friendly and efficient.
Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area and want something different!
Not the best tofu bahn mi in Melbourne, but not bad. The rolls are quite large and heavy on the veg which is great for someone like me. If you want a more "gourmet" vegan roll, try Trang. But this place is good for the classics.

Ultra fresh banh mi . Bread absolutely delicious and also fresh .
The pork tender and juicy . The rest of the ingredients also very fresh. Kind staff and good price . Completely affordable.
This is my favorite local sandwich stop! I always get the tofu salad roll. It's yummy every time! Sometimes we even pick up a fresh batch of the rolls to make our own sandwiches at home. Great for an on-the-go lunch stop.
Good chicken schnitzel roll with salad and optional chilli. All tasted very fresh. Coffee surprisingly ok. $23 for two rolls and two medium coffees, I'm happy with that :)
Good little Viet bakery. Their salad rolls are great, with always fresh ingredients and great bread rolls. Some of their sweets are a little too sweet.
My quest for the perfect banh mi continues. I had the tofu version which had some
interesting variations including tomato. The roll was perfect - crunchy and light but the price is the main deterrent - $3 more than the Richmond equivalent.
Nice rolls over the joint! Had a pork roll and a vegetarian roll. Rather expensive for rolls but really tasty. The coffee was not bad. Worth checking out
If you're looking for a quick cheap Vietnamese Banh mi around Prahran area I highly recommend N Tran Bakery. I usually go with the traditional Vietnamese Banh mi - butter, extra pate, selection of Vietnamese cold cuts, chilli, coriander, pickled carrots, daikon, maggi sauce and bit of gravy in a crunchy airy baguette and if I'm feeling a bit cheeky extra cheese slices :) can't go wrong!
Great fresh banh mi and other made-up bread rolls, pies and cakes, etc. Cheery, bright staff, fast service, despite always full of tradies. It's popular because it's good.

Yummy Chicken Salad snack this afternoon with pickeld vegetablesš
Donāt let its humble exterior fool you! This place makes some of the most delicious Vietnamese street food on Chapel.
BBQ chicken Bahn mi, crispy pork noodle salads loaded with flavour.
Modern Vietnamese bakery disguised. No mention of Banh Mi, instead calling these delicious food items, salad rolls. Try the crackling pork banhi mi (salad roll) if you are visiting 1st time. Pictured here the banh mi and spring roll noodle.
Good coffee ! Good food ! Good price !! Believe or not they have salad here to offer you keto salad instead of in the bread .
Barista was really nice and makes good coffee!
Best salad bowls in Melbourne. I always introduce friends and family to this business because it's so good. Fresh and delicious.
