Review Pardon Coffee - Prahran

Simon Natal
This small (Japanese) cafe has an amazing coffee. The croissant is fresh and crunchy. Recommended.

This little cafe serves great coffee, and tasty food. The smiling staff take great pride in their work, and a touch of Japanese customer service excellence. The indoor - outdoor seating gives options, and it boasts a regular friendly following of local Greville Street precinct folk. The service comes with a reliable menu and very fair prices in on the sunny side of the street. I recommend it because of its genuine unpretentious atmosphere and consistently high quality food and coffee.

Great, strong coffee and all the food is delicious. Pardon is awesome and so are their staff. Also it's always open (public hols included) which is a bonus.

Very friendly service and quick! I came here to get an oat milk hot chocolate on my break and decided to add on a home made butter cake. Both were sooooooo gooood - especially the cake. That cake.. I will come back for that cake. It was so fresh, so moist and the flavour was pure comfort. Honestly try the cake

Amazing Cafe! So good to chill have some yummy coffee and food in Prahran. Not easy to find such a chill vibe in this area. Cafe is amazing and they have free mineral water on tap. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is my favorite coffee shop, I come here every day for my caffeine fix. The staff is super friendly and the coffee is amazing. I love their cake selections as well, although it is sometimes a little bit small.

My new fave coffee stop thanks guys .. always on point.. been searching for my go to place and happy it's 30 seconds away I'm in and out fast and always happy

Great coffee, awesome staff and most importantly - dog friendly! A small coffee centred space with good music, and a selection of tasty cakes/danishes. If you want an early morning or afternoon pick up, with the bonus of a nice chat while you wait for your coffee then pardon will be right up your alley.

Great specialty coffee with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend. A++

I loved it there. Great little space. Friendly staff and great food. Coffee was amazing as was my daughters smoothy. I go there when ever I'm in the area.

Usually great coffee and friendly service. Today was exceptionally bad. Very slow and unfriendly service. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant that was microwaved then put in the toaster just long enough to get the grill marks on it. Very ordinary. Such a shame bc is nice and close to work.

$8.50 for a very unsubstantial bacon and egg bun, a re-heat off the shelf that ended up being a sweet, muggy mess. On a brioche bun mind you, but a tad excessively priced so fairly disappointed.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this café really annoyed me. Cold coffee, took 15 minutes and really arrogant staff. Won't be going back
Zane David
A small, no thrills cafe that offers some of the best coffee in the area. If you're after a quick coffee that's brewed to perfection, this is your cafe.
Luis Ohri
Awsome coffee. My weekend routine to have a long black here.

Ordered 2 sandwiches and coffee off ubereats, it arrived with no sandwiches. Then called up and said we’d come pick it up- arrived at the cafe and the sandwiches were not even ready, they were pulled out of a cabinet and put in the microwave (not fresh) had to stand around waiting for 10 minutes when he knew we were coming to pickup. Will definitely not be coming back here. Did not even apologise about us having to drive over when we had ordered it to be delivered.

This was hands down one of the best light snack meals we’ve had for a late brunch.

We ordered it through UberEats as it was raining, I had nothing at home and the kids were going crazy and it arrived to perfection.

The toasted ham sandwich was the best I’ve had since grandma made them. Their hollandsise on the side was so good!!!

My partner had a bacon and egg roll and it was full to the brim with flavour, as was the buttery and flaky croissant.

Their coffee was outstanding. I’m going to wander over this weekend and go to the cafe as it was THAT good.

ordered soy latte -first one was very weak so barista made me another which was much better but shocked to be charged $5.00 for standard size soy latte!

I waited for 15 min for my wrap on a lunch break. The staff were far more concerned about socialising with their friends than serving me and bothering to take my wrap out of the toaster. The lady lied and said she accidentally gave my wrap to someone else when she actually just forgot to take it out.

We just came for coffee, which was pretty good.
However, the staff were probably the worst I encountered in a Melbourne cafe. Depressive attitude, inattentive service and coffee took about 20 minutes to arrive in an empty Sunday.
TheWhiteSherpa
The people working there are nice and the environment have nice vibe. The decor is fresh and welcoming. Didn't try the breakfast, just had a quick iced weak latte which hit the high notes. Must come back and try the breakfast.

Coffee made with the most care and attention to detail in Prahran. Definitely a step above all the other spots near by. Simple quality, with staff who remember your face and more importantly, your coffee. Great work guys.
Coffeebuffid
One of my favourite coffee hangouts in Prahran! The coffee was really nice, balanced and sweet like all good coffee should be. The service is good and fast

Definitely the best in Prahran. Its so funny that ive been lots of best specialty coffees in Melbourne but had not been here for quite a long time since it only is a five minute walk from home.
Finally gave it a chance this morning and the coffee is remarkably awesome. Really loves the blend flavour and the latte is breathtaking, perfectly steamed and incorporated with the espresso. The baristas there definitely know what they're doing especially the big guy!
If you live in the South Yarra - Prahran area and have not yet given this a shot. Well you should. Period.

Consistently great coffee served by attentive and smiley staff who'll have you coming back regularly. It's a quaint little cafe that's ideal for a quick coffee with a friend or a takeaway while you're shopping on Chapel.

One of my favorite places to a get a coffee if I'm after some single origin goodness. Really friendly guy that served us coffee and was happy to have a yarn.
Ramen Girl
Good coffee (long blacks and flat whites) and decent sweets. Ham and tomato croissant sandwich ok if you need something savory with your coffee. Unfortunately the staff run hot and cold.
Rob
Hands down....the best coffee in the neighbourhood. Apparently each coffee is automatically made with a double shot (I love my coffee strong and so I get a triple shot) and it is consistently milky, frothy and that sweet coffee taste is incomparable to all other places. And, it hasn't changed when a different barista is working. You pay slightly more than other cafes, but it is worth it. They focus primarily on coffee, but have branched out a little to pastries and sandwiches. If you're in the area, it's well worth checking this place out.

Great coffee And staff fr.... Great coffee

And staff friendly
Love it

Great coffee, great service and even better donuts. Had the pleasure of getting taken to Pardon by a friend and I must say I was very pleased they did. Starting with the service it was just on point, very friendly staff and very welcoming the conversation seemed genuine not the usual vibe I get from many other coffee shops. The coffee was smooth and just went down a treat, I had a long black there was no bitterness or burnt taste to it, just good coffee. Lastly the donuts... OMG the salted caramel one was amazing, I had to fight the urge to buy another.

I would recommend this place highly and this is from someone drinking in excess of 5-6 cups of coffee a day so I do travel around and try many different places in the area.
The Coffee Table
Lifesavers.. Had the pleasure of a tasty long black and great service. Clinic.

Possibly the BEST coffee I've had to date. Went in today for the first time with my gf and the tall guy that made my coffee was a top bloke. Great coffee blend, no bitterness. Certainly a must!

In the words of butters from south park. No no ... NO NO NO NO NO !

Beautiful coffee, lovely staff! Great place to stop off at when I'm in the area to pick up some take away coffee and delicious pastries!
Anna
Lovely. Great little space, friendly staff and treats that are pretty damn hard to resist!

REVIEW. Some incredible single origins - coffee always amazing, awesome looking (and tasting) sweets, and friendly staff. Urbanspoon % can be such bs sometimes
Bernie Kaye
Awesome, coffee, service and omg donuts and cookies. What a great little coffee shop in the heart of yuppie town - Prahran
Down to earth service from people who genuinely care about coffee.
Coffee is consistently good, and may I add as I watched the friendly young man behind the counter he weighed the coffee, ensures the milk is at the right temperature, ensures the latte glass is super clean and all this he serves my coffee with a smile.
Pricing is on par with coffee shops I frequent in the CBD during the week the only difference is, the coffees better, I only need to add one sugar - I cannot drink coffee without at least 1 sugar.
OMG!! Don’t get me started o the sweet treats, how do you decide between salted caramel donut (Yes Tivoli Road you’re not the only one to sell these) and the gluten free peanut butter cookie??
You don’t, you get both and thank the Lord above you did, or in my case the devil in my ear!
What a shame both Pardon and Cup Of Truth (run by the same friendly bunch of peeps) are not on my daily rout to work
Mysterycat
Great coffee. Great food. Great service. What more could you want? Will definitely be back. Keep up the good work. Btw-the fitout is fine. Lovely, simple design and the drawings are amazing.
Chasingtheyum
Great coffee, great entertainment! Keep it up fellas!!
Shelley Banders
Very good coffee, the pastries/sweets are off tap- highly recommend the salty cardamom 'Oreo'. I disagree with previous review about a 'boring fitout'- that highlights the problem with many melbourne cafes where people think an impressive fitout equals an impressive experience. Wrong! It's about service + product and Pardon delivers on both
Rupert Deans
Tasty coffee. Great coffee, friendly service and delicious donuts mmmm
Bicksar
Boring. If you're going to make the fit out plain and simple it needs to be perfect. All the faults stand out when there is nothing else to look at.

What a beautiful space! My mum and dad were served by two very friendly and very passionate folk while I enjoyed staring at the lights. Mums soy latte was definitely nice. The house blend cut the soy milk beautifully, and all that wonderful coffee taste was enjoyed. Mum was happy. Dads expectations were high when he saw that stunning spirit on the bench, so he asked for espresso! Coffee must have been nice cause he was happy too after just one sip! We'll be back!

Pardon coffee is more easily accessed, has more comfy seating and offers consistent delicious coffees. There’s certainly no need for pardoning.
Fatboo
My piccolo came as a deep and fruity hit of perfection, I loved it.

Sharing their coffee expertise with a new venture in Prahran, Courtney Patterson and Jonathan Freeman are doing coffee, locally sourced sandwiches (Alison's Homemade Bread) and following suit from CoT and spreading the love for Matt Forbe's baked goodies. Located near the corner of Izett and Greville streets which is already a hubbub for cafes, Pardon Coffee is a fresh, clean space that is keeping their game simple and focusing on coffee.
