Great customer service and great food! All the staff were lovely.

Awww was my reaction. I found chocolate and lollies I had never tried before. I was pleasantly surprised and my tastebuds certainly enjoyed the new experience. Thank you!

Coffee quality has become pretty average Think it may be a change of staff

Cute lil cafe/provisions store with a good selection of frozen and takeaway meals. Coffee was good, staff were friendly and efficient. I haven't actually tried the food but it all looked beautiful!

I ordered some meals online on the recommendation of a friend and OMG they are so delicious! Far more gourmet than anything I'd ever cook at home and I love that you can mix and match them, and that many of the meals are freezable.

They have a sourdough bread from Elwood Sourdough which is really good. They also have amazing carrot orange cake.. last time I went, I got this baguette..

Great coffee, delicious treats and toasties as well as incredibly friendly staff. I love the things available to buy in store as well that make for wonderful gifts too.
Nathan
Food was nice but overpriced. Service was average but the coffee was pretty good.

A friendly cafe in Prahan where the coffee is great. Though we walked in at a time when the place didn’t look busy, the staff had forgotten to give us water or check that our table was the only one without sugar. (Not a big deal but attention to detail is always appreciated 😊) That aside, the quality of food was mainly good and the place had a nice ambiance. Okay service and friendly staff 👌
Hungry Stanley
Food was delicious. Avocado smash and chill scramble. Amazing bread! Suggest avoiding on a weekend though as we waited nearly 45 mins from sitting down to getting food.

Fun, friendly and relaxing cafe with great food. Have recommended Seasonal Kitchen to all my friends and has been a regular haunt since they opened. Come taste their crab omelette it’s pretty awesome.
Saloni
They Seriously need to add more vegetarian options in the menu.
Apart from that the place has great ambience, friendly staff and good coffee. But not enough variety in the menu.

Amazing drinks, I get an almond chai latte every day and it's the best in town. It's always a pleasure dealing with the lovely, friendly people that work there. I always get a friendly smile and chat from anyone who is behind the counter. Absolutely love the cafe, always a pleasure getting my chai from there!

I am one of many regular customers who is always provided with the most friendly service. Dante, the barista is supreme in his quality personal service to each person he engages with during his long working day. Each person is special to him and he does everything he can to service to their personal needs. I commend this place as an iconic Melbourne restaurant.

Walked in and staff were very rude and unpleasant. It was like they didn’t want us to be in there and when asked for four half strength hot chocolates, they tasted like water!! even though once they’d bought them over with a staff member who didn’t say a word and only afterwards, minutes later to bring over $2 and apologise for not having enough milk!! Honestly worst hot chocolates I’ve ever had, won’t be visiting here again with staff members who make you feel unwelcome! Don’t recommend

I love this cafe! They do an awesome gluten free chocolate brownie - best I've EVER had, anywhere across the globe. A must to visit, especially if you're gluten free!

Brilliant food which is lovingly prepared to perfection. Made a delicious cake for our mum's birthday and I would highly recommend it. Lots of delicious treats for everyone.

These guys are the friendliest cafe around. A labour of love for the well known celebrity chef Beverley Sutherland Smith and her daughter Suzanne, the food is all home made and delicious. With charming relaxed decor and fresh flowers, their focus is on well priced home made food. They've also just started catering - Beverly personally made a delicious orange cake for my mums 80th birthday with fresh roses on top and everyone raved! Give them a try if you want a yummy brekky or lunch.

We stumbled across this place as it seemed to be one of the larger & less busy cafes on the strip to accommodate two prams. Firstly, they were very accommodating with our prams & found us a nice table that we could park our prams. Secondly, we were very surprised by the quality of the food, very delicious! Avocado smash & banana / pear bread were lovely. Will hopefully visit again if we are over that part of town. Loved the decor too, nice & bright & homely.

Cute interior and nice and quiet for conversation. However, we were placed in the garden out the back where there were ants all over the table. The food was pretty good

This place is absolutely beautiful, the decor with a French flare, the delicious food and the staff who are a wealth of knowledge. This is my go to brunch on the weekend with the classic smashed avo and the chai tea is to die for! I can't recommend this place highly enough! It is the must try in Prahran you won't be disappointed!
Out And About
Beautifully decorated with classic high ceilings and a certain air of "je ne sais quoi" 👌

But... The food, though tasty, was very disappointing. For anywhere else in the world it would be ok, but for Melbourne, where, anything served up that doesn't look like a piece of art, falls well below standard.

For such a great space it's a shame to drop the ball on your menu.

When asked waitress for what's popular she looked around then tell me that I am not their usual client. Surround by middle age posh toorak wives I do feel out of place. Fitting is this place is more suited to high tea. Will I come again. No not by myself. I am sure my daughter's will love it
DuckieLovesToEat
So this place is around my area and I have been meaning to try their coffee. I get the chance to try their skinny flat white. I wanted to be blown away, trust me. But sad to say the coffee was alright. The staff were also not as friendly especially the barista. I don't know if because the day that I came here it was raining and maybe somehow that dampen his mood. But because of that I am a tad hesitant to come back to check their menu.
Hungry
The decor in this place is quite frankly vile and put me off even trying the food here for a very long time. However, I must say that upon stopping here one day for basic scrambled eggs, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they had made such a simple dish. I just hope the rest of the menu is as good.
Will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu.
World In A Bite
Food 1: yummy but needs improvement... The dishes we had: soup of the day, chicken meatballs and salmon cakes were bland and because of that I feel it's overpriced ... Half of salmon cake is potato ... Disappointing for $22...
Decors 2: very pretty , clean, homey, classy (high tea) look & feel
Service 0.5: average

Definitely up there as a great breakfast! Now as a local it's pretty ridiculous all these hipster places popping up in Prahran and lining up for 2 hours to eat granola is nuts.

Here you can get in any time, lovely seating out front facing the sun and staff are welcoming and owner is lovely.

We had the breakfast burrito - so much flavour with beans, chorizo, eggs, jalapeños and partner loved it. I had the French omelette and I'm getting into eggs now and it was full of leeks, goats cheese, potato gratin and YUM. Really good

Coffee was perfect and almond milk too - fresh juices are a hit too. Really homely and welcoming interior - an institution in the area for years (I used to go to the old one) great food!

The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was so inviting! I loved the smashed avocado, it was great. I want to come back and try the lunch menu!

I went here by chance, I had never heard of this place before. I was blown away by the scrumptiousness ( is that even a word?) of the food! The chicken in my burger was cooked to perfection. The food came out quickly and everyone served us with a big smile on their faces. I was so impressed and I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Thanks! Yum!

Great food & staff, and nicely decorated. Loved the French toast for breakfast and they do great coffee, will certainly be going back again.

What a lovely breakfast experience!

Beautifully decked out reataurant with a cottage feel. Large and spacious, friendly and accomodating staff.

Moat importantly... great coffee, and our meals were delicious. The boss had the omelette of the day.... roasted tomato, basil and goats cheese... simply amazing. I had my the avacado mash... awesome. The kids loved their scrambled eggs and home made hash browns!

We will definitely be back

Had dinner at this lovely local restaurant. They are open every day of the week during the day, but only on Thursday nights for dinner. The ambience was lovely, and the word to sum up the evening was friendly. The food was really delicious. Nothing fancy and no kale or quinoa to be seen, but hearty beef stew, a delicious chicken curry (speciality of the Thursday night chef), lamb shanks, delicious bread and wine. Very reasonable as the serves were generous. To say it is like home cooking may be an insult, but i mean this as a great compliment. Simple food done really well. It was a pleasure and we will definitely be back

We walked in just before midday in the middle of Melbourne stormy day. The restaurant was fairly empty and we were quickly seated and provided with the menu. We ended up choosing a couple of items from their lunch section. The soup of the day arrived, it was hearty and marvellous - perfect on a rainy day. My chicken snitzel, eventhough cooked to perfection, was served with heavily dressed salad and sweet chilli aioli. The overall taste was a bit too sweet for my palate. What really won my heart is the decor and ambience of the place. I can picture myself back again, sitting for hours at one of the corner tables sipping through cups of their great coffee!

What a lovely breakfast and lunch I just had here this weekend. My partner and I had a gorgeous lunch here on Saturday that was just as the name promises - seasonally fresh and delicious. We loved the lunch so much we went there for brunch this morning and enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast for two.
Healthy, nurturing ingredients, passionate and warm staff and a lovely, inspired decor make this place a must visit in the area.
Highly recommended!!!
Gorgeous venue with lovely service. Welcoming to kids which is much appreciated. Much needed high st cafe and great coffee from Dante to boot!

Welcoming eatery. What a lovely place to dine with friends.
Warm ambience, delicious food, friendly staff and great service.
The menu is extensive, and the food is tasty, fresh and plentiful.

Lovely light and bright space. Thoroughly enjoying this bright, pretty space as a local. Three thoroughly enjoyable lunches this week and delightful, attentive service. Will try breakfast with my son over the weekend.

The prettiest cafe ever. And it is so visually stylish, spacious with many seating options it is almost too hard to decide where to sit. Autumn leaves in vases on each table, perfect. The service was attentive and discrete, the menu spanned the written page, an imoveable blackboard and the chilled cabinet display which looked tired with vacant acres of space. Okay, it was Sunday. The brekky menu was limited. We chose from the blackboard. Chowder. Delicious. Condiments were not offered. The coffee was just fine with maybe cardamom overtones. Recommend with room to improve.

Just awesome!. I love this new and amazing 'food lovers' cafe in Prahran, I have been in every week since it first opened. Despite the fact they haven't got the gas connection in the kitchen yet and not even at full potential the food has been fantastic and totally delicious. I had the most amazing house-made crumpets, scrambled eggs with smoked black bacon, avocado and roasted sweetcorn for breakfast today and 2 mugs of omg die for so rich and smooth coffee! The service from the staff is sweet, fun and attentive and they cannot do enough for you. The kitchen team has a diamond of a Head Chef backed by food author Mum and Daughter team, Check out the amazing salads and wonderful pastry selection, this place is a must go! Loving it!!!!!

Enjoyed my lunch here this week and can highly recommend the goats cheese omelette with spinach. The café has a lovely atmosphere and my friends and I had a lovely time and will definitely return.

A lovely light-filled space, perfect for lunch. Really enjoyed my omelette with goats cheese and spinach. Will definitely return!

A beautiful, bright and fresh space!. This north-facing space is so light and bright that it makes you smile as soon as you walk in the door. The colours and the fresh flowers add to that effect. My lady friends all enjoyed our light lunches and will be back again soon. The omelets with goat cheese were huge and popular, while my spring rolls were full of chicken but very light. We resisted dessert but will try some sweet things next time.
Thanks to Bev, Suzanne and their friendly crew!

THEY HAVE MOVED - 436 High St, Prahran. Hi all,
Please note as of Oct 2014 these guys have relocated to Prahran.
Not sure on how to update Urbanspoon cos they're not technically "out of business".
Thanks.

I had a beautiful meal here recently with my friend Joanne. The food was delicious, particularly the duck, and I also enjoyed the French champagne. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A great find especially in High Street- great service and absolutely delicious food. The chestnut soup and seafood chowder were fantastic and it is BYO!

Do not Miss Out on this Neighbourhood Secret. We just had a fabulous meal at Taste, this place should be full every night. If you love simple food cooked sublimely, Taste is for you. Beverley Sutherland Smith was the original celebrity chef in Melbourne and understands that just sometimes you want uncomplicated wholesome food. Roast lamb, slow cooked for 6 hours, potato gratin and crunchy green beans, the tastiest spring rolls, vietnamese chicken. The decor is understated, the service not slick but friendly. Do yourself a favour and enjoy a night out in a simple but sublime fashion

A nice little quiet cafe just off glenferrie, menu(breakfast) had a little variety but it was not exactly my taste. The female waitress on the day was quite pleasant. Would travel back to look at lunch another time.

Wicked Food. When eating here, homemade takes on a life of its own. Even the condiments are made in-house. A total experience in eating, awesome food, happy and friendly staff. A meal worthy of repeating many, many times again.

Great food! Pie and corn cakes are amazing!!

A gem of a cafe!. A Taste For All Seasons fills a gap in the High Street, Armadale, café scene. The food and coffee are excellent, the décor pleasant, the service first rate AND it's quiet enough to have a conversation! The sure hand of Beverley Sutherland-Smith is evident in the dishes: modern Asian influences aplenty in the spring rolls, the chicken balls and some of the salads, but with a lightness of touch that appeals to this diner at least. If you're in the mood for something sweet, the pear and raspberry upside down cake is a stunner. All portions are of a manageable size; this is a place where quality comes before quantity. A lounge area at the rear is an excellent place for a parent to sit with young children who want to be able to move about, and the staff are unfailingly pleasant and professional.

Recommended. Corn cakes with salmon were delicious. My sister and I shared the chicken sausage roll which was lovely! Will go back.

I love the Asian chicken balls and coleslaw. the coffee is great. the corn cakes are a must! The chocolate desserts are lovely filled with Belgium chocolate. A superb Breakfast!. We had the pleasure of having breakfast at "A Taste For All Seasons". Lovely restaurant, warm friendly atmosphere and charming decor....and very comfortable chairs. But the highlight was the food. Absolutely beautifully cooked, delicate tastes, superb produce and presented in such an artistic way. (We were offered toast, even though our dishes did not come with toast, but just in case we wanted it.) Best breakfast ever! Topped off with excellent coffee.
Congratulations to all involved. We'll be back.
Aron
Friendly staff, good coffee and tasty food. Small menu option but what was served was delicious. I recommend the Zucchini & Feta Slice!
Polly
Polly. Went there today and was delighted! Delicious freshly made food (in house); not the usual predictable "industrial" food so often on offer.

Had homemade spring rolls with a tangy asian coleslaw. Then a very good latte. Will definitely return.

Melbourne food world icon Beverley Sutherland Smith is now cooking in her lovely café in Armadale. Fresh from the oven cakes, muffins and other savoury delights to tempt the taste buds!
Glutenshmooten
A few items on the lunch menu are gluten free, like the Asian chicken balls with slaw. There is also sometimes a gluten free muffin / cake available.
