Review Wood 'n Chimney Express - Prahran

I have tasted the food of majority of the outlets which are in the Prahran vicinity, But these guys are top of the pop among them. There service standard has improved considerable in the recent months. Great Going Guys. Recently I ordered a happy family meal deal with them. pizza and pasta were incredible. chicken parma was fantastic, as it should be at an Italian restaurant. 5/5 would recommend without a doubt. on top of that food arrived in 40mins.

Had a great Mexican Parma here, not huge but was was more than enough for me. Tasted delicious. Previous reviewers seem to have had a terrible time here, I, however, came before the lunch rush and the place was practically empty so maybe that's why I had great prompt service. The coffee was good too.

Slop, slop is the best and only description. We ordered 2 burgers. Turned up after 90 minutes. The burgers were stone cold. The buns were soggy, and "moist". The lettuce was slimy. Egg on one of the burgers was rubber like. We haven't ordered from these guys for over 12 months due to prior poor experiences, but thought we would give them another chance....bad call. When I rang them to complain, the immediate response was: "was your food cold and soggy sir? We have had that a bit tonight". If you are looking for food, look elsewhere!

Shame on the owners and management of the Prahran store, leaving the restaurant staffed by one person who was effectively running front of house and the kitchen. We ordered via the Uber eats app, and immediately after placing our order received a phone call stating that they don’t deliver half of the items we ordered (in hindsight this was a red flag). Instead we could have parmas. Reluctantly we agreed, and were advised the food would be delivered at 7:33PM. Needless to say that came and went and after calling the restaurant several times we decided to venture down to the venue ourselves. It was there we saw that the kitchen was empty and that the front of house guy was basically running the show. As this was happening, our food arrived (housemate collected it). It was missing a drink, was cold, and honestly just so below par. I take my hat off to small businesses trying to make a go of it, but really don’t attempt to inflate your bottom line by cutting back on staff and quality. This was an expensive, late, and generally awful experience. Not recommended at all.

Ordered two pizzas and both were excellent!! The base was perfect! We had the peri peri chicken and the pumpkin and goats cheese pizza - both were SO tasty! And the service was really warm and friendly. We ordered in the store to take away.

Doesn't even deserve the 1 star. After being pointed in a direction to sit, I waited 10 minutes for a menu while the staff members surrounded an iPad, to have a what seemed like a new staff member apologise and give us menu's. After we had chosen our meals, we tried to make eye contact with staff, a staff member looked directly at us, but ignored us and cleared a table in front of us. Waited for 20 minutes without being served, we had to walk out. This would be understandable if the restaurant was busy, however, it wasn't. Absolutely disgusting service! Would not recommend!

I ordered delivery through Delivery Hero from WnC Express Prahran - arrived 20 mins late, driver couldn't find building even though number and name of building on front. One of the mussels in the marinara was clearly off/not right (open shell but grey/stringy meat and smelled funny) and I bit into one of the prawns which tasted off as well, I did not eat the other prawns. The restaurant didn't apologise, but did say they will refund my money but I am concerned about food poisoning so I've reported them to the council.

With no expectations, we had the pizza with the lot and the gluten free pollo chicken and avocado penne. The pizza was fantastic and made on your traditional pizza base. Nothing gluggy, perfectly light. The toppings were mostly placed ABOVE the cheese which brought out the flavours more. This is my new method of cooking!! I'm coming back. The gluten free pasta was cooked well. The portion size was very decent. The chicken was tender. The staff were all very friendly and were happy to accommodate for food intolerances.
