Review Cedar Bakery - Preston

Chris Vesty
Cedar Bakery is a great place to stop in at any time during the day, the Coffee is great! And the food is fantastic! There is a wide range of Lebanese Baked Goods and all of them are delicious! The staff are friendly and there is also a lot of grocery items which is very convenient, I highly recommend checking out Cedar Bakery! šŸ„šŸ„–šŸ§†šŸ„—šŸ«–ā˜•ļø

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked the music - not rocky - mellow, but not elevator music either. I had a soy flat white coffee and a feta and spinach filled wholemeal pastry. Both were excellent! A satisfying light lunch for $11 - please stay just like this Cedar Bakery, because I'm moving to Preston, but not till 2023. I'll definitely be back before then though, with friends/family. Oh, just a couple of suggestions: thinking of the ladies, a larger bin by the toilet may work better (unisex toilets); and a sturdy coat hook on the door would be useful.

Best coffee in the area. Delicious baked goods and great selection of grocery items. You can get frozen bulk packs of mini versions of their baked goods. Well deserving of their stellar reputation.

This is very delicious Middle Eastern, very well spaced comfortable seating area, easy ordering at counter and food came out fast even though it was busy, really tasty. Creamiest hummus l've ever had and very tender chicken, well done team keep it up l will be back!

Bakery stuff is pretty decent however normal made to order breakfast is below average. Ordered egg & lamb breakfast board and the only thing good on there was the cucumber and tomato. Absolutely no taste or flavouring in the dish. Tasted very very bland! Disappointing.

My order this morning was delivered 1 hour late. Some items I ordered were also missing, leaving me about $15 out of pocket:-(:-(. I tried calling Cedar Bakery but no response therefore i believe i will not get any refund for the avocado and dice Lamb that never got delivered. Food was good though but service was very poor. Lets see if Cedar Bakery will respond to my review.šŸ¤”šŸ˜©

Great coffee (Industry Beans)! Food was ordered via a QR code link and came to the table within 10 minutes. Ordered the zaater bread, chicken pie and feta pie and all were delicious. I love the fitout of this bakery. Only let down are the toilets...not very clean when I visited
Gary Gromb
Great place for coffee, juices and food or just to shop for middle eastern produce.

Cedar Bakery - the best. One of my favourite haunts for coffee and lunch in the north. Range of vegan/ vegetarian pastries and pizzas are supreme. Well done to lovely Cedar staff.
Elsie Manaka

Fantastic Lebanese pies and pastries and an awesome hipster cafe crafting great coffee!
Ben Morrison
Fantastic filled bread pocket turnovers must try !!! Great cakes and drinks too. Also has a great coffee and a deli that sells ingredients to make your own !

My 3rd lounge room, I love it here, such friendly staff, delicious food and amazing coffee!
Carol Slocombe
Really disappointed. Breakfast was $9.50 for two poached eggs. Pretty expensive but when it arrived the bread slice was as small as the egg. This place was a mainstay for our family but I am rethinking our loyalty.
Nicholas Tsiaras
A regular haunt as a local, coffee is always good, and the Full Medames are an all-time favourite. Great value for money and service always smiling.

I went in dying for a coffee at 4pm being like I HOPE YOURE STILL MAKING COFFEE. They were! Until 6pm too!! The coffee and service was lovely (they put me in a better mood) and the produce sold is going to make me a regular.. vegan Turkish delight and dehydrated chewy bananas?!??!!! I also snagged some falafel and can't wait to buy my housemates some of the vegan baked goods!!
Marie LaRocca Oppy
Fantastic! A lovely warm atmosphere, with delicious food and coffee, highly recommend

This is my favourite place and second lounge room.

Love love love this place. .thank u for expanding your vegan range!! So delicious! !

Hands down the best coffee around here. There is often a bit of a wait due to how popular they are for coffee and other things but it's worth the wait. We love their Soy Latte. It's been consistently good.

3.5. We ordered a variety of pastries to takeaway which were freshly heated and tasty. Service was very efficient.
Hungry Caterpillar šŸ„‘
Love all the goods they bake. They are fresh and settle a good carb or cheese craving. The service wasnā€™t too bad, staff could perhaps have a smile here and there. The place itself is cool and they have some delicious stuff to offer.
Monica Gumanti
Had for take away for breakfast. Very yummy seems to be authenthic

Came here to this excellent cafe . Great range of breakfast and lovely bread at reasonable price. Lots of things to chose and tasty treats. I enjoyed their mini deli and shop as well. Will come again for sure. Coffe was pretty good too. Order Zaatar bread for sure.

This place I go any chance I get. The coffee is the best I have had, the batch brew. I always buy 2 at a time šŸ˜‰ and then the food items no matter what you order is so freaking tasty... That will make you come back.

To top this all when the service is friendly and great its the prefect place to be.

Keep doing what you are doing guys... Please don't go down the other road.

The chilli eggs are some of the best going around and have a great little kick, complimented well with the halloumi. And the coffee is on point every time - they use Industry Beans and the flavour is robust, making every cup have a strong coffee flavour.

Love the set up and you never need to wait long to get your food. It gets busy on the weekends from 10am onwards.
Sam Melbourne
Nice cozy cafe and grocery shop of Greek, Italian, Turkish, and Arabic flavours and cuisine. The quality of food is above average but not the top shelf. Will I try it again? Yes if Iā€™m hungry while passing by. Will I go a long way to eat there again? Not probably.

cedar bakery is a cute little cafe x grocery store along high street, we always drive pass this place and itā€™s always packed busy and assumed it must be good so we decided to try it!
what a let down in my opinion
we ordered:
šŸ• lamb pizza $4.80āļøāļøāļø
šŸ• cheese pie $4.80āļøāļøāļø
šŸ• eggs and lamb fillets $18 āļøāļøāļø
šŸ• eggs and potatoes $15.50 āļøāļø

majority of the food was under seasoned for us especially the eggs and potatoes it was so bland wrapping it in the bread with the side condiments couldnā€™t even save it

this place is very mediocre ive tried better lamb pizza/ cheese pie else where

wouldnā€™t come running back anytime soon šŸ˜Ÿ
Two Sheds
Real score 3.8 out of 5.

Iā€™ve had Cedar Bakery on the radar for a while and finally made it. Itā€™s a lovely and open cafe area with the grocery area down the back. The two areas work well. We came for brunch. The worldā€™s most beautiful woman ordered the dukkah mushroom while I had the eggs and lamb fillets with a side of avocado. Both dishes were good. The eggs and lamb Fillets seemed like a smallish dish initially with subtly spiced egg and diced lamb, lovely soft pita, salty olives, a couple of cherry tomatoes and a few slices of cucumber. I liked it more and more as I went. The serve size was absolutely right. Bang on actually. Serves are more compact here than at the new Oasis in Fairfield. The food is not as substantial nor as pretty. I liked the cafe more though as it felt more orderly and comfortable. Service was distant at both places. I did like Cedar Bakery and would happily return.

Best kofta burger Iā€™ve ever eaten. Yummy dips and good coffee in a relaxed, inviting setting! In store shop letā€™s you buy what you try. Baklava and sweet treats on offer are great too!

Cedar Bakery was a quaint little cafe/bakery/grocery shop offering Middle Eastern cuisines and spices. The cafe reminded me of A1 Bakery, as they both served amazing sweet and savoury Middle Eastern pastries and breads, except the venue and ambiance were much nicer and more modern at Cedar. It was a great brunch spot, especially if you were into Middle Eastern food.
Raymond Poliski
Pastries are so fresh. Great breaky place to catch up with mates. Good orange juice and coffee is quite good. Service is oh so friendly! Will keep coming back time and time again.
Timinmelbourne
I called in here for a coffee. The service was friendly and cheerful.

This is a bakery/deli selling a good range of European food and dairy products and what looked like really reasonable prices.

My t/a strong skinny latte was delicious and the milk slightly sweet. I didnā€™t ask about the milk they used but there was a good amount of milk froth and it was one of the tastiest coffees that Iā€™ve had in a while.

My only gripe is that they have a credit card surcharge which I really find annoying on principle.
Dimmy Georgiadis
Great service, friendly staff. Nice range of middle eastern items. Fantastic Zaatar and lahme. Will definitely be back for more. Great place for a nice healthy snack
Quince And Cheese
One of many cute, affordable, vegan-friendly spots in Preston. I love love love Cedar's range of savoury pies (some made with vegan cheese!) The spinach and haloumi is also amazing. They have the best hummus and falafels, also at budget-frisndly rates. And there are several great cake and sweets (vegan options included) that make a great pairing with a Cedar coffee. The potato breakfast dish I tried recently was a bit less value for money than other dishes I've had here, and wasn't as flavourful as I'd like (until I doused it in hot sauce). Would be nice if it came with cheese or some sort of sauce. But despite not loving this dish, I generally give Cedar Bakery high regard.

First time at Cedar cafe and the staff did not have energy and felt like they would rather be else where. Not very cooperative staff. Ordered the scrambled eggs with lamb which was below ok and also the chicken tawook which had too much lemon flavour.
The zaatar and good from bakery looked better and will try thay next..
2 stars, sorry Cedar

Phenomenal place drove by on a whim and walked out full .... you wonā€™t regret going here ... authentic Turkish style food and awesome coffee

The perfect place to shop and eat. Everything is just so fresh and reasonably priced... and child friendly too! Our favourites are the Fatoush and the Labne.
The Brunch Specialist
Located in Preston Cedar Bakery is home to a spacious cafe serving Lebanese food, a bakery and a Middle Eastern grocer.

We ordered the the ful medames (fava bean stew) with a side of Lebanese sausage and the Cedar scrambled eggs with diced lamb fillet and pine nuts along with coffee to drink. Both dishes came with a side of Lebanese bread, tomato, cucumber, olives & pickled turnip.

Cedar Bakery offers good value for money. Portions are generous and everything was reasonably priced, the ful medames was $10 and the scrambled eggs were $17.

I personally love Lebanese food and found both dishes to be flavoursome and satisfying.

In addition to eating in at the cafe, you can purchase Lebanese bread and pastries to take home.

I recommend that you check out Cedar Bakery if youā€™re in the area. Overall I rate Cedar Bakery āļøāļøāļøāļø out of 5.

Been there once with my nieces. A nicely setup cafe which is kids friendly. Coffee was good. Food was good. We also got excited in the grocery section and bought heaps to take home.

Such a great place! You can find everything you need here itā€™s like your own little supermarket/restaurant/cafe/bakery. Food was amazing, and service was great. Would definitely come back for more! Their cheese pie is super delicious and the lamb backstrap - super juicy and tender! They also have freshly squeezed juices which is always a plus!
Adi
Amazing food and the best coffee one can have . Staff is extremely friendly and the food never disappoints. Such a homely place with fresh made food that is tasty.

I went into Cedar Bakery as a Collaboration visit. WOW loved the vibe of this place, it was so spacious inside and modernly designed. Iā€™m Lebanese myself so I loved the modern twist on our traditional food. The place is layed out so well, it has its own bakery, groccer, deli & cafe. It literally is a one stop shop!. Service 10/10 and the foos was beautiful.

It's noisy, full of families, friends and people on their own enjoying the seriously grand offerings when you sit down to eat. My friends and I have pretty much made our way through the menu. Scrambled eggs all the ways on offer but especially with the Shanklish - best after a massive workout. Lamb cubes with potatoes - last time we had that a young man sat next to us. He was alone and waiting for his dish to arrive. Ours arrived first and his face was glorious - mouth open, eyes wide in a big WOW. His arrived and it looked good but while he ate he constantly stared at the lamb cubes. He smiled the whole time eating his and looking at ours. I know what he's going to get next time! Staff are so excellent, everyone is happy to be there. The prices are amazing - you can order from the menu or the bakery and will be happy.

5/5 Everytime - I have been coming here a long time now. This would be one of my consistent favourite places in Melbourne. Cedar bakery has come a long way since its humble beginnings. Since the new owners have taken over, they have turned the place into a destination for Lebanese breakfast and Lunch with all the favourites on the menu.Ā

5/5 - Coffee - Industry Beans Coffee with a world-class coffee machine -Ā perfect fix every time,Ā

5/5 - Pastries - Lebanese pastriesĀ are the best in Melbourne, the dough and quality ingredientsĀ are outstanding. My recommendation is to try it all and take some home with you! [Personal Favorites are (world famous) cheese pie, Zaatar and Shanglish]

5/5 - Breakfast and Lunch - Transform yourself back to Lebanon and indulge in a banquet whether it is breakfast or Lunch. Now you can't just order one dish you need to mix it up. The ingredientsĀ used are premium, the presentation is authentic, and flavours make you salivateĀ just thinking about it!Ā

5/5 - Groceries and Takeaway [BONUS] - you get to take it home with you! Middle Eastern Groceries - get all your spices and ingredients to re-live middle eastern cooking at home. PastriesĀ are also perfect for takeawayĀ with plenty of freezable options. We have used Cedar Bakery for Food Catering, which is perfect for any event andĀ haveĀ also ordered the Lamb which 10/10.Ā

This is your cheap eats destination, (The Only problem you will have is that food is so good that you will over order)
Perfect for families with kids and large groups, the place is hugeĀ

100% Recommend Cedar Bakery - This is a Destination you need to try!

Food was good but not great. Portions were rather small. Dining space was large, in an effort to accommodate the popularity of the venue but it just never felt relaxing. It was loud and disruptive, and I donā€™t just mean other patrons; the wait and kitchen staff were dropping stuff and yelling the whole time. It just felt a bit too stressful.
Foodie_ Melbs
Highly rated. They are so busy each weekend and are on the ball in the rush. Excellent food and they know how to make a good coffee. A favourite
.
.
.

Food was competent
The literal hour and 15 minute wait time for it to arrive was not.
Somewhat frustrating when we ordered two very simple dishes.
Kaylamimi
Came here on a busy public holiday Monday for breaky. Enjoyed the food thoroughly, I had the fatteh which unlike most that I have had in Melbourne was made just right and not drowning in ghee. Amazing flavour and the place was authentic with modern flair. Will definitely be back

Love love love this place. No matter what you order, you're guaranteed to have delicious lebanese bread/pizza/ bakery items..
I love how you can buy frozen ones too, and all the spices and pickles and other goodness...

Spacious and inviting large space. Their coffee is great. We've tried 3 dishes the falafel which was basic and dense. The scrambled eggs with potato. Very basic a little heavy not much on the side. And lastly the mushroom dukkah which didn't land well my sister ended up committing that web3 rang the place checking how it was cooked and they basically explained it was made a day or so before then just heated and served. Not the greatest idea for breakfast in melb. We prefer on the spot freshly made breakfast since there is so much competition. So much variety there to shop from perhaps stick to the pastry and coffee.

I'd gone past this place for years and my partner took me here to try it! I was pleasantly surprised, very nice ambience and cafe environment with an assortment of groceries you can buy as well. We purchased the small pizzas which they heat up for you quickly and serve to you as well as the coffee. It was a nice place. Would return again and good prices!
Lella Dee
Excellent service and wonderful food! A must for the North! Great for families too as there is plenty of space to move around and love picking up some treats from their mini store on my way out.
Burp
A twist with Mediterranean style! Ended up ordering Dukka mushroom and avocado with poached eggs. Good combo options on the menu as well as on the display. Coffee was the best and very unique called the ā€˜Cold Dripā€™ brewed slowly for hours for the finest taste! This place also has organic food store and most items are at reasonable prices compared to other health food store.

Stick a fork in me jerry! I love it. Ridiculously delicious. So happy I moved to Preston and found this. Quality is not compromised for variety, they offer both and it keeps me coming back endlessly

It's a lovely bright space that's got the dining area at the front and a grocery area behind it. The place is quite echoey and can get loud when it's full (as it was when we were there).
My felafel plate was fine, the lack of tabbouleh was very noticeable and sorely missed.

I drove by Cedar bakery so many times but never had the chance to stop. Well, I recently caught up with some friends there and I was stunned by the place! It's a huge cafe filled with lovely people, beautiful smells, colours and delicious food! The food is all middle-eastern inspired and it offers a great variety to choose from, so whether you like sweet or savoury, you'll find something that suits you! All pies and pastries are made to order and they are sooo yummy! I highly recommend this place!
JacobaEats
Most delicious, fresh, perfectly baked bread dough in Preston at least. Any topping/filling compliments it well and they have a great selection of vegan options.

Patsy
Excellent coffee by Industry beans, great atmosphere. ..busy busy.. (well it was Sunday lunch rush hour) and the food is ok. Reasonably priced (actually there are some very cheap meal options here...which means it's nothing fancy...the Lebanese pita bread is probably the best thing (is that sad?? and its served with pretty much everything) . Also love the fact that there is no table service...you just go pay at the counter. ..grab a number and then they bring out your coffees and food. Oh and they don't rush you to vacate the table...stay as long as you please
Madeleine
Beautiful middle eastern platters, pastries and cakes! I had the hummus awarma which was deliciously spiced, with juicy lamb and homemade hummus and this rich dish worked well with the fresh tasting pickles and vegetables it was served with. I would recommend coming here with friends and sharing different dishes for some variety.

Coffee was made strong with industry beans -> 10/10

I look forward to coming here again and trying more food from Cedar!
YesNoMelbourne
One of my favourite Lebanese places
Had the fatteh (chickpeas and bread in a yoghurt sauce) which was amazing!!!! I didn't want it to end and also came with pickles and stuff
My friend had the chicken tawook

The second pic is the zaatar munouche which is bread filled with herbs and sesame seeds. You can never go wrong with that!

Didn't take great photos cause I was so hungry I dug straight in! This time they took a while to take the food out but it was a full house so I guess that's why
Lauren Savolainen
Food is delicious ! Cute cafe/bakery
Enjoyed looking at the different foods and groceries they sold

Ordered the vegetarian pizza (7.50$) with salami ($1) it was fresh and loaded with toppings
The bread was warm, soft and very moorish

My friend ordered the chicken pie, it was really tasty

Happy I found this establishment and will be back in the near future
Nicklaus Schmidt
I like this place.Ā yesterday i got a cheese pie and a zaatar with a lil tub of hummus and a latte. IT was nice and fresh and tasty. The bread tasted good and the haloumoi was melty
Charizard
Had their Chicken Pie, Spinach & Cheese and Zaatar & Cheese and loved all of them! The bread was exceptionally as it was soft and fluffy! The Chicken Pie was unique as it was filled with chicken, mushroom and potato. The flavoursome fillings were yellowish in colour and tasted like something familiar but I can't figure out what was that. The Spinach & Cheese was great as the halloumi wasn't too salty and the spinach balances the flavours well. Last but not least, the Zaatar & Cheese was simple yet appetising as the slight saltiness from the halloumi combined well with the fragrant oregano and sesame seeds. Overall, their products from the bakery were praiseworthy and they have a great variety of breads for you to choose from. Moreover, they also have another section with sweet pastries and they also do have the usual brunch menu if you are looking to have something heartier.
Hursty
Amazing pizzas and pies, topped off with great coffee and excellent groceries, including frozen foods. Friendly staff, a nice quiet place to relax in the suburbs.
Mia
This would have to be the best Lebanese food I have ever tasted.

Amazing flavour combinations, I would recommend the spinach and hollaumi pastry. They also make there pastries with absolutely delicious bread, which makes it heaps better than a sausage roll or pie.

The staff are really friendly and there meals are very cheap. Great for all dietary requirements and the meals come very quickly.

There is nothing to fault and I will definitely be coming back.šŸ‘ŒšŸ‘šŸ¼šŸ˜„

I have eaten in a couple of times since it was renovated and have also had take away from here over 30 times.

The service is always friendly and the pizzas are delightful. The new fit out makes the place really inviting.

Great for a quick take away or to dine in.
Coffeeplz
Middle eastern food at the right price with great coffee will always be a winner . This place ticks all the boxes for a great cafe . Win win for me . Friendly service with a smile .

Overall, may come back for the bakery items.
Chicken pie - good
Scrambled eggs with leb bread- good but not worth the money.
Avacado with goat cheese feta- not worth the money. Average.
Coffee - bad !

A nice place to have a hearty breakfast... staff is warm and friendly... their chicken pie is my favourite.. but husband enjoys the meat pies and Lebanon more.. they also have a good collection of sweet pie

Best Lebanese pizza in Melbourne highly recommend well worth a visit. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the coffee is great quality. Will definitely visit again
Jane
An absolute gem of a place. Superb coffees, great dips and antipasto available for purchase (their home made garlic dip is to die for). Great menu now available. do try lamb kofta pizza with chilli and cheese. So cheap. Also a large range of middle eastern groceries and bread available to purchase. Have totally refurbished and is now a hip meeting place with loads of seating.
Mel
This cafe/shop is perfect. Affordable menu, spacious, friendly for the whole family and delicious. The only criticism I have is that the coffee was way too bitter and maybe they should reconsider their blends. Their pies and pizzas are great! Order in and eat them there.
Deebazzi87
Hands Down the best Lebanese bakery I have ever been to in Melbourne! I'm a Lebanese sydney sider and have struggled to find something as good as the bakeries from home. This is even better! Friendly staff/ Modern layout is a bonus LOVE IT!
Happytalent.66
Happen to come Saturday afternoon and was told the cafe opening until 7 pm, which is def nice! I ordered fresh juice which combines Apple, orange ginger and greens. All fresh all good! It also has grocery at the back and I can easily sourced different cheese here. If I am living nearby, I will come everyday weekend!

Cedar has been on my list since my 1st time in melbourne about 5months ago! I Love vegetarian pizza. Many choices of lebanese pizza, pies. There is also take-away food zone so it is convenience when rush time. Relax atmostphere/ comfort seating area. Cafe is nice too.
Kasy
Cafe with a middle eastern twist. Loved the hummus with lamb. A great size serving for fourteen bucks. Next time I come I think I will try the falafel

Everyone has a favourite Lebanese Bakery they frequently visit. This one is ours. Why? A number of reasons.

Firstly, they have pretty awesome coffee here! This is my number one factor. They're serving Industry beans including filter options over the gold filter and cold drips. You will always get the most consistent cup of coffee here, each and every time. Their baristas sure know what they're doing. Even though they don't offer almond milk, they do have soy and spelt milk available as a dairy free alternative.

Ā

Here's an interesting fact: Did you know that the paperless gold mesh filter is better for you? "Gold filters not only allow the full flavor of coffee to come through but also do nothing to reduce or alter coffee's natural antioxidant properties, which have significant health benefits." Well now you know.

Ā

Secondly, they have a wholemeal variety of ma'noush available such as the fetta, zaatar, ricotta and many more. Once you try their wholemeal range, you'll want to order it again next time because it's just so delicious, and healthy too! I vote for all Lebanese bakeries to start making them! They have heaps of other choices from their ma'noush menu like a tuna variation which is also another one of my favourites. They have vegan options available using bio cheese, hurrah!

Ā

We also tried their breakfast menu and pictured above on the right is the chickpea tesiyeh which has become my absolute fav lebanese dish.

Ā

Thirdly, the staff are very friendly here. Since we're regulars (despite the fact we don't actually live closeby), they'll acknowledge us every time we come in and when we didn't come in for the whole month of Ramadan, they wondered where we'd been.

Ā

Fourthly, they have a gourmet grocery section too and its huge! Takes up most of the floor space at the bottom and they sell lots of vegan, healthy, and affordable snacks. They also sell their baked foods in the freezer section for parties so if you're looking for finger foods, you'll find them here.

Ā

And fifth (yes, there's a fifth and I can still go on...), they proudly support the Breast Cancer Foundation and it is printed in bright fluro pink on their coffee cups. Bravo!

Ā

Lastly, they open late everyday till 7pm!Ā

Like this review? Read more at mmatcommunity.com

I love cedar! Can't believe I havient been here sooner. I always drive past and on this sunny day we walked up with our puppy. The staff are just so lovely, busy cafe but can take away and international deli with everything you can imagine. The service was quick and food option was so wide. We got some pastrys and pizza and some dips and olives to takeaway. This is def going to be one of my locals and somewhere I go all the time. They also are very welcoming to your puppy! Thankyou

Prob the best manoush place in all of melbourne. Coffee was the biggest suprise. Love this place and the customer service. Even when busy the wait is not long. Have reccomended to friends and now has become one of their fav places

Amazing place! Food was great especially the Nutella bites with strawberry! Also had the avocado dish which was very tasty. Great, smooth, clean coffee taste, best coffee I've had in a while
Highly recommend the place!
Hooray4bread
Great lebo right next door to the club. Very good zataar pizzas and variously stuffed pies in the calzone fashion. Wouldn't buy my groceries here, but coffee is good and lower area tables are stroller friendly.
Fatcat
Friend and I came for a quick Saturday lunch - ordered the cheese and spinach pie and lamb pizza and two lattes for $15. The lamb pizza was delicious, definitely give it a try if you're there! It's a large cafe with a very inviting atmosphere.

I need more than half an hour .... In this Lebanese, multi-nationals wok in Preston

A Cafe, a mini Middle-eastern Mart and Bakery.

I didn't get the chance to explore the grocery shopping and bread, however damn good Soylatte, a combo if Industry beans, Synesso Hydra and a Dutch-Indonesian Barista expert Dian (forgive me if I've spelled your name incorrectly).
And that piece of Salnut, fantastic, just right, not too overly sweet crazy.

Great big space indoor and some more tables outside, will come back and explore further.

Be warned : Gluttony is hard to overcome even after your third serving.Ā Delicious , Friendly , Comfortable.
When you need a fix for that thing that is either / or / or all of the following
Ā Warm, Crusty, Soft ,Fluffy ,Cheese'y, Vego, Vegan, or Spicy meat thing.
They have got them, and you get them promptly, cheaper then chips.
I could eat one of their sanglishĀ dailyĀ (filled with cheese olive tomato )
The Beard Eats
Good Lebanese bakery and associated shop. Great coffee also available, Industry coffee being ground. Would recommend if you're in the area.

First time coming here, and I love it. Friendly staff and a store section where you can purchase Lebanese food products.

I ordered the cheese special, which is a pastry filled with cheese, tomatoes, and olives. For $5, this was incredible value, this pastry alone was enough for lunch.

The cheese and tomato combo is a classic, and the olives delivered a salty punch to the mouth. The bread was quite buttery which sent my taste buds on a little tap dancing excursion.

Delicious Lebanese pastry and coffee shop. Since they renovated and revamped the menu the place is amazing. They've really stepped up the quality of all the food, and the pastries are fresh and delicious. Surprisingly, the coffee here is outstanding, high quality and consistent, which can be hard to find!

I came here with my partner for late brekky and wasn't actually feeling like doughy pastries and they had this amazing new traditional home cooking menu. It was to die for. The Lebanese sausages tasted amazing, the fatteh was so tasty and not as heavy and garlic-y. They had this nice sauce next to the potato dish, it just completes it. It was all well thought and executed. Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the dishes. Well done guys, keep it up!

I live right next door to this bakery and it's really dangerous...Ā I come here for coffee almost every morning and I've consumed more haloumi pies than I care to admit.
But when everything is amazing it's hard to stay away.Ā
Coffee is consistently fantastic, never burnt or sour; food is fresh, quick, crazy cheap, and the new breakfast menu is a great addition.Ā
Keep up the good work guys!

Great bakery! Everything we had was delicious, the cheese pie with olives was my favourite.
The set up is great, you can sit in, you can get take away and there's also fantastic groceries to buy as well as all the baked goods sold frozen for you to take home.
I love that they warm up the food in the big ovens not a microwave like some places.
Loved it well definitely be back.

Have always been impressed by this Middle Eastern bakery which I feel us on par with A1 bakery with its cheese and spinach triangles.
Their coffee is very good as well.
Well worth a visit.
Everything here is good! The bakery make you forget the term "carbs". I try to get something different every time, but I love that Tuna and cheese pide... The staff there are always friendly as well. The only negative is that they are cash only. Eateries that big can't justify this these days. The private ATM inside the store charges $3 per transaction... I hope they don't own this ATM?? I'm sure that they will get with the times sooner rather than
later. Otherwise, yummy!

Is kinda like Aldi, the place is amazing the food is great, but -7 points for their horrible customers... If it's empty, eat in... Although you'll feel left out if you're not in fitness tights and talking as loud as you can to people 4 tables over... If there's just been a christening in the vicinity, order takeaway and get out of there!

The best Lebanese bakery around.
Meat pizza and Shangleesh are my top picks. Fast very warm friendly service. Fresh juices made to order. Tea, coffee, cakes and small selection of groceries keep me returning. Such a nice spot for a quick inexpensive meal. Children friendly as well :)

I love this place ! Visited while staying with family over the road some years ago & went back 3 times last week. It has been renovated & is even better now with pleasant outdoor & indoor seating. There is now a full cafe with good coffee, freshly baked pastries, breads & salad choices for takeaway & eating in. The staff are helpful & friendly. The supermarket partĀ is well stocked - even bought some items to bring home. I just wish this was over road from my homeĀ !

This place has quickly become my regular. Love the staff there, they are very friendly. The pizzas are awesome and the coffee is good too. On top of it, it's very cheap. What else do you want beside keeping on coming back...

Love this place, quick, oh so friendly, cheap and has a really nice local vibe to it. Try the Labne pizza - you will not be disappointed! They have nice little touches like self-serve water, a small middle-eastern grocery selection and a coffee shop at the front. The pizza's themselves are exquisite, some of the best Lebanese pizzas I have had. And when served with a smile they taste even better!
Cressida
Tastiest Lebanese bakery I've tried. Delicious lamb pizzas, za'atar, haloumi triangles. New barristas and modern fitout brings Cedars into the 2000-and-teenies. They still have a great selection of middle eastern groceries, pastries and desserts, deli items and frozen take-home and catering packs. A great place to get food at any time of the day, when other cafes have finished serving lunch. A Preston icon just got face-lift, and a damn good one.

Feel like middle east pizza or pie?? Then come here. Fresh lebenese pizzas. Variety of toppings.... personally i love the garlic or zadar (oregano and sesame) with a tea.

This place....not only the tastiest damn pastries and coffees, but they're raising money for breast cancer with every coffee sold in their take away pink coffee cups. And I'm not too sure what exactly ppl say is expensive, I fed myself and 2 friends (we are all big guys) and paid $33...keep it up cedars!

Frieking love this bakery!!!!! Best breads/ pizza's / pies around!!!! And soooooo cheap. Come here all the time on my cheat days! Great staff as well
Mistermister
Really nice bakery. Not quite a lazy breakfast place. Nice place. Quiye vast and empty. Cheap food, but not a big breakfast type place. It's a bakery so we can't forget that. The middle eastern selection of groceries is abundant. Recommend the $4.50 Nutella donut. Coffee quality is great as well. Although, not sure about half my coffee shot in a separate shot glass incase it was too strong. What the?

Fresh food, pastries and exceptional service. The staff here must all be family, as they all take pride in the service they provide. Everyone is smiling and eager to please customers.

The food and coffee are excellent and the recent renovation looks nice. Quick, cheerful counter service for food, so make a beeline for the back of the shop. Two can have a quick and delicious lunch including coffee for the same price as a single menu item at other nearby cafes. A little noisy, but not unbearably so.

Amazing bakery!! Great food and coffee. Service was fantastic and staff were extremely welcoming! Can't wait to go back and eat more. Highly recommend it!!

The price of everything at Cedar bakery has increased since the reno. I guess someone's got to pay for it. The pastry at the cafe at the front of shop was stale when I bought it last time. But overall, it's still nice to go for bit of variety.
Hungry Biddy
Got the cheese and spinach pie and a coffee. Delicious dough, generous amount of halloumi and spinach. YUM. Will definitely go back to try other things.
Foodie87
Since the new renovations things have increased in price. The setting is much nicer to eat in but the grocery part of the store is way over priced. The pies are very nice and fresh.

25 mins for a coffee and not a sorry!. Don't bother. 25 minute wait for a coffee and not even an apology...won't be going back.
