THE BEST PIZZAS! They have unique flavours and they are flavour bomb!! I've tried 90% of the menu and I cannot fault a single one of them! You could try any single pizza and you would not be disappointed. Highly recommend this place!!

Love the mushroom pizza here! Been here a few times now and always had such a great consistent experience. We ordered the garlic brioche bun last time and that was also fantastic. Apparently the cocktails are also great, but we have yet to try those. Great food, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Not sure if Michaelangelo would approve because they're not your typical dirty and oily pizzas. However, I'm sure he'd come here on a date night with April if given the chance. Expect to wait in line if you want to dine in. Best thing to do is in their name - takeaway. Beautiful flavours that will keep you thinking about it the next day. Mushroom one was my favourite (surprisingly)

A great variety of delicious pizza, tasty cocktails and a really relaxed vibe. We shared 3 pizzas and some chips between 4 adults and were beyond full.

What a find I ordered online. The first thing you notice on the menu is the amount of pizzas and the very different ingredients, tried the pastrami and marrow, full of flavour thin based which is how I like my pizzas The pay and pick up was efficient. Every time I’ve visited, the pizza has been an absolute show stopper. I really love all the flavours, whether it be vegetarian or not. Photos are of the mushroom, zucchini, bone marrow and lamb pizzas. I will say that it’s a little out of the way in terms of being accessible to people from the CBD but definitely a gem and won’t diminish my love for the pizza here.

Affordable and delicious pizza by the slice in the heart of Preston. There are always two vegetarian options - a cheese and a special slice of the day. I tried the cauliflower, which was a sweet and savoury combo of cruciferous veg, pomegranate, tahini and craisins. I loved the unique flavour combo coupled with a casual cool dining environment and good drinks list. I’ll definitely be back for more.

Can’t go wrong with the meatball pizza. Fennel in the meatballs are delicious. Tried something new and went with the rocking and chorizo but I didn’t like it as much . Meatball and pastrami one is the best.

This is my local & I still haven’t tried any other pizza joints in the area as why would I when I know this is just SO delicious? I’m not a ‘crust’ person however...these ones are worth eating. Every mouthful is delicious. My two faves are The Cheese & The Sherry Braised Beef one. They’re not on any food delivery service yet as want to keep the community spirit alive with face to face! Awesome team & enjoyable environment.

This pizza is amazing! The crust is thin and crispy and the toppings are perfectly matched. Had the meatball and prosciutto pizzas. The meatballs were juicy and spicy and worked really well with the simple cheese and tomato base. The prosciutto worked really well too. The cocktails were yummy and had some great mixtures. <br/>Will be heading in here a lot!

Pizza here is amazing. You seriously can’t go wrong. Straightforward wine list but it works. Too happy hour ! And love that they got behind the bush fire crisi supporting with totally pizza sales ($15) of their cheese pizza ! Well done. Love you guys and will be back

Big fan of the lamb pizza here, you get a really diverse range of taste here . Opened by dexter , they do offer you a good dining experience. Great selection of drinks. I tried lamb, honey and mortadella and chorizo. Lamb hands downs was the best . Good mocktail as well

It is so bad for me to be adding a review for this place after almost a year. We love takeaway pizza. Our dog loves takeaway pizza. Our friends love takeaway pizza. We are such fans. My husband who doesnt even like pizza in general craves for a pizza from this place. It is just amazing. They do some magic with their cheese on top. Such good vibe and ambience. Such friendly staff. And did i mention they are dog friendly too. They love our dog 'Friday' so much. How many places we go to remember our dog's name and ask about them every time you go?? Very impressive. If only there were more than 5 stars to give. Cheese pizza is out of the world. Make sure to try it. Decent drinks choises too.

We had takeaway and dine in experience here. Amazing pizzas and cocktails, perfect for small weekend gathering. I would suggest to book in advance since they have quite a limited space for dine in.

Best pizza EVER, I have eaten pizza for 20 odd years, but until I had these pizzas, I realised the thing I thought was pizza really wasn't. These are the best pizza you can find in Melbourne, so do your taste buds a favor and try these, honestly every pizza I tried here I thought was the best, from margarita to sherry braised beef to mushroom pizza, I'm just glad I live not too far from this pizza place that I can come grab pizza every now and then.<br/>LOVE them and hope they never change.

Pizzas are very good and reasonably priced, however the loud music and lack of lighting lets the place down a tad for me. The special pizza we had with salami and honey was outstanding.

From the geniuses behind Dexter and located across the road sits Takeaway Pizza and it is literally fuss free delicious gourmet pizza. Don't be fooled by the name, they do offer dine in! I've tried almost all the pizzas but the ones worth mentioning (actually they're all worth mentioning but my absolute favourites) are: mushroom, sweet potato, magherita and chorizo & rockling (beware: this one has a kick). But like I said, all the pizzas are topped with delicious fresh gourmet toppings and the combinations just work like a match made in heaven. I recommend getting the chicken wings as they are hot, light and crispy and coated in deliciousness. Be sure to check out their fried dough for dessert, kind of like a donut with custard. I’m one of those weird people that dislike pizza, yes yes I cop it enough HOWEVER. This place I can rate! How the hell do they cook their base 🤤 legit everything is perfect. Have only been a few times, but they have not disappointed. Their sides are pretty yummy too! Definitely would recommend especially for people that are like me, just ehhh about pizza in general lol this place will change your mind and put you back in civilisation again

Came here on a Thursday afternoon and we were seated immediately. The waitress was polite and friendly and told us to order at the bar whenever we were ready. <br/><br/>We ordered the anchovies and bread as a starter, and then a chorizo and rockling with added mushrooms. The bread from the starter was very fresh and complimented the salty anchovies very well (if you’re a fan of anchovies that is). The pizza itself had a thin crust that was topped with a generous amount of toppings. It was definitely a pizza made with quality ingredients and tasted much better than those from fast food chains. <br/><br/>Would definitely come back to try all their other pizza varieties, especially the pastrami and marrow one!

I tried this place recently with my sisters and oh wow, leaving the restaurant we were so mind blown at how delicious everything was! The base was so bready and crispy and the flavour combinations were amazing. My favourite was the bone marrow and pastrami pizza followed by the mushroom one yum!!

Had some take away when family come over and everyone was enjoy them. The base is thin and crispy exactly how i like it. However if you like thick base it not a place for you. As i like spicy foods so the Chorizo &Rockling pizza was hit the spot. Yummy

Takeaway Pizza appears to be the hip and happening place in High Street Preston, with people prepared to queue up for a table. It's also across the road from our daughter's dance school, so we thought we'd give it a try.<br/><br/>We selected the Sweet Potato and the Margherita.  The pizzas were OK but nothing special.  We found the crust to be 'hard' rather than 'crispy'.

Definitely in my top 3 pizza places in Melbourne. It’s a small but busy place. The crust on the pizzas is amazing, and the salads on the menu are really nice too. Staff are happy and friendly. It’s a pretty narrow and small place so it’s probably better for small groups unless you can manage to get a table out the front. Great for takeaway.

It was time for a cold bevvie and something to eat on a Friday night after a busy week. Takeaway pizza was recommended to me so off we went. <br/><br/>This is a pizza take away shop/bar with a cool interior w seating and a great deck that has a retractable roof. <br/><br/>We started off with some drinks, spritzers, beers and a cocktail! Yummy lol. They are all craft beers such as Hawkers in cans or on tap and a great dark ale w some other taps! Happy days.<br/><br/>Food wise we had a wood fired vegan mushroom pizza which was absolutely delicious and easily the best vegetarian pizza I’ve ever eaten! I could have easily eaten the whole pizza myself... mmmnn next time hahaha <br/><br/>The second pizza was a wood fired vegan Zucchini pizza and once again this was absolutely delicious. I had no idea that a vegan pizza could be soooo tasty! The pizza crust was perfect, w a great dough and crispy. One of my favourite spots for great pizza with a fun vibe. They serve quite a good range of pizzas all being of great quality. The crust is what distinguishes this from other pizza joints, I could eat the crust alone any day of the week. My favourites are the pastrami with bone marrow and the mushroom pizza.

The north is finally getting some cool places! pizza wasn’t traditional wood fire - base too thin and crispy for our liking, would be better with more cheese and sauce. We found the bone marrow and beef brisket flavours a bit too rich. Would return but opt for something simpler and maybe just a drink. Good for a casual meal.

Best pizzas I’ve had so far in Melbourne. The crust is perfectly thin and crunchy. The flavour delivers a punch. If you’re looking for traditional pizzas with more dough, go elsewhere. The pizzas here are gourmet and I can finish one whole myself. I’ve been here twice now and favourite so far is the pastrami and bone marrow. Margherita and chorizo are also good. Can’t wait to try the other flavours.

Came here with a gf, not being greeted by any staff and shown to a table or how to order. We walked to the counter anyways and had a rude female staff member scoffed and barked at me for not knowing where I was going to sit. <br/><br/>Maybe if someone had taken the time to show me how the table system worked, there wouldn’t be a problem. <br/><br/>The food - We ordered chicken wings, olives & the Bone marrow pizza. Olives were nice and plump. Chicken wings were average, nothing special. The pizza was special, so soft and fatty. I loved it. <br/><br/>Will come back for the mushroom pizza, and hope for warmer service.

Was excited to try takeaway pizza after being a massive fan of Dexter from its beginning, and not surprising this place did not disappoint. Have been back a heap of times since, I don’t believe it’s possible to say one place definitively has the ‘best pizza’ in Melbourne, but I can definitely say this is one of the best pizza’s in Melbourne. Meatball pizza is the highlight for me!

After hearing it was one of the best pizza's and was owned by the boys from Dexter i was keen to try. The shop is a small bar not only serving takeaway pizza but also dine in pizza. The toppings were tasty with my favourite being the Pastrami & Bone Marrow pizza. The crust is thin for thin crust lovers, however i would of preferred a little bit of soft dough. <br/><br/>The cocktails looked great and the atmosphere was great as well!

Easily one of the best tasting pizza joints in Melbourne. Quality ingredients and perfectly charred dough. The only catch is they are small and thin so if your feeding teenage boys you may have to buy a lot of them which will be expensive.

This place demolishes any other! Hands down best pizza that has ever entered my mouth. <br/>We had the Lamb, so so tender! Apparently these guys link up with Dexter..absolutely explains why the meat was so amazing. The base was super thin and crust was crunchy. Soz, just drooled on you..<br/>But wait, I’m not done. Keep reading..<br/>The apple pie donuts. Holy crap. <br/>Explosion of deliciousness in and around your mouth. If your full, YOLO and get them anyway! <br/>The seating was great, service was pretty sweet too. We were here on a Monday night, best to get in before 6.30, by 7 it was packed! <br/>5 stars for sure guys, well done! <br/>

We had 4 slices (cheese, pepperoni, vegetarian of day: eggplant and yoghurt and meat of day: smoked ham), chicken wings and cabbage salad. The crust was thin and crispy; best pizza base! Not as much cheese as other places. Pepperoni was bit too salty. Wings and salad were generous. Parking is hard but it’s worthwhile

Cute little cafe / restaurant at the top end of High Street and is a stand out. The curious name is deceiving but the food isn’t. <br/>An interesting menu of pizzas but not too many choices which was good. We had 4 pizzas- a meatball, sweet potato, lamb and matriccana. All the pizzas were so good and just loved the crust. Good sizes that cover the whole plate. <br/>To add to our culinary treat my son and I had a cider each. <br/>There is a choice of eating inside or out and in the morning you’d have he lovely sun on you. <br/>Only downside was no cutlery and the music was a little loud. <br/>Staff are fabulous and the service is good. Kid friendly. Good parking with one hour limit. No high chairs.

Big fan of both concepts. <br/>However, I must’ve ordered the wrong pizza (lamb) because the flavours were super overbearing. For $22 a pop it needed something like rocket to balance out the strong dollops of moza cheese. The lamb shoulder and pizza base was good, crunchy. <br/>Any recommendations on a good pizza? Would go back to try the cocktails.

The lads behind Dexter really can do no wrong. The humble pizza is anything but humble here. Our group of 6 shared 4 pizzas - Pepperoni, Cheese, Mushroom and Pastrami & Marrow, and demolished them all.<br/><br/>The pizza crust is thin yet soft, with a crisped edge, and heavy-handed with the toppings. The Pastrami & Marrow pizza and Pepperoni pizza were just amazing; sharp flavours, and tender, smoky and juicy meats. The Cheese pizza excelled in its simplicity, and the rich, silky and milky stracciatella added another element of flavour and texture. The Mushroom pizza, just like the pizzas before it, was a flavour bomb - buttery, earthy and incredibly savoury.<br/><br/>We couldn't fault the anchovies and bread, and fried chicken too. Execution and taste were just spot on. Even the bread that came with the fried chicken was delicious.<br/><br/>Service is prompt and charming, and the vibe is relaxed and casual. The crowd at Takeaway Pizza is testament of its popularity and delicious food. Come early to grab a table or risk having to takeaway a pizza instead.

4.5. The pizzas here are excellent! The crust is quite unique, being thin and crispy, which works great for me as I don't like soggy bases. We ordered the meatball and sweet potato pizzas. The meatballs were super tasty (some of the best meatballs I've had), and the tomato base with basil and herbs was delicious. The sweet potato was also nice, with a mixture of sweet and savoury flavours that made it quite interesting. Will definitely be back to try more. Highly recommended.

Geeez! Pretty damn good pizza . I ate a slice of my mushroom pizza with pepperoni on the way to the car , was mint. Crispy salty base with nice chew . Herbs cooked with mushrooms and super crispy pepperoni . Definitely a salty pizza yet full of flavor . Look forward to next time

Came here for drinks before heading to Dexter (owned by dexter and right across the street). Don’t be put off by the name, this place is not your take away pizza. Well crafted cocktail list, great beers on tap and beautifully made pizzas. It’s not your Italian DOC style pizzas, but they’re delicious and I got to try a slice before heading out to dinner.

😱Lizzie’s first impression: I was told it was the best pizza in town so I had to give this place a try - they weren’t wrong at all. They are run by the same guys as Dexter! <br/><br/>🍩Lizzie enjoyed: We tried the chicken wings - they were tender and juicy and flavoursome. The lamb pizza was delicious and had generous amounts of pulled lamb. We also tried the chorizo and jalapeño and meatballs - that was also so tasty. I highly recommend the chorizo one! The pizza base is crunchy and not too thin! The perfectly baked dough! <br/><br/>🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: the apple pie donuts with cinnamon were a let down as the dough was way too tough - I expected it to be fluffy! <br/><br/>🥇Lizzie rates overall: A great place for a pizza feed and I would recommend travelling all the way just for this. Such a cool little spot brought to you by the Dexter crew. The tropical wallpaper towards the back is dope. A generous sized heated patio for those chilly Melbourne evenings is a nice addition. Now...for the pizza. Some of the BEST pizza I have had in my entire life! My Partner and I are both obsessed and have it at least once a week (either dine-in or takeaway). The only thing that I can fault this place for is the service. That's the reason for 4 star review. I really wish the staff were a tad bit more friendly. It's such a great place but the staff often look miserable. That aside, we will still come here often. Decent little cocktail menu and natural wine too! <br/><br/>Try the Margherita or the mushroom if you're a veggie!

This little gem is a hidden goodie. Great vibes and cocktails and sweet tasty pizza. Had a margarita and the pastrami and bone marrow. Yum! The donuts were a bit of a let down for me. Went to Takeaway Pizza for a drink and I ended up having dinner too. It’s a pretty cool spot, quite small and simple. Drinks are good, I had a Cocktail from the list which was really nice and a friend had a long drink. There are no many pizzas to choose from, but the one we got- the cheese one- was soooo good! If you are a pizza lover, this is definitely one to try!

From the team that gave us Dexter, this New York style pizza joint had high expectations to live up to! I found myself back in Preston and couldn’t pass up the chance to see how it stacked up against the hype of its older sibling.<br/><br/>Whether it’s pizza by the slice, or the whole pie, Takeaway Pizza has you covered. The menu is fairly straight forward, with a few sides, plenty of pizza options to keep everyone happy, and enough drinks to make everyone even happier still.<br/><br/>There’s a very social and laid back vibe to the whole restaurant, with lots of contrasting shapes and colours throughout. The general layout also helps to ensure that you’re never more than a few steps away from ordering another round of drinks.<br/><br/>When it comes to New York style pizza, I couldn’t look past the two classics… Cheese, and Pepperoni. I ordered a slice of each, with a pint of pizza’s best friend to wash it down.<br/><br/>I was eyeing off the pepperoni slice even as it was coming out of the kitchen. So much so that I made a rookie food blogger mistake and bit right into it (as pictured) before taking photos! I make no apologies, it was delicious. After inhaling that down I moved promptly onto the cheese slice, which didn’t last much longer.<br/><br/>The base was perfectly browned and crispy, had a balanced flavour, and was just thick enough to fold the slice in half without it sagging. It was obvious a lot of care and attention goes into their dough. For the toppings, it was covered with a great ratio of sauce and cheese, before being topped off with even more cheese or pepperoni. The melting, gooey stracciatella on the cheese slice was on another level again.<br/><br/>Takeaway Pizza is another feather in the cap for the team that brought us Dexter. Although you can’t go wrong with any of their pizza options, the cheese and pepperoni reserve a special place as my favourites. A great spot to catch-up with mates over pizza and drinks, it’s yet another reason to head out to Melbourne’s north.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the weather was perfect for us to sit outside under the sun. The pizzas here are amazing! The base was thin, fluffy and crispy which hit all the right components for me. My favourite topping was definitely the mushroom. It was so buttery and flavoursome, not sickening at all. I loved the decor of this place as well, it was bright and unique. Would definitely be back to try the other pizza flavours!

I had a vegetarian version of the special: roasted strawberries and blue cheese on pizza (minus the jamón). Amazing. I wish I was eating it now. There are heaps of interesting vego options, so I will be back!

I’ve always been curious about the iconic New York Cheese Slice ($5), but this is the first time I’ve ever come across it in Melbourne. Served scalding hot straight out of the oven, the crispy bottom, the blend of tomato paste and slightly chewy cheese, and the creamy pocket of mozzarella is a faultless combination of flavours and textures. It is addictively rich and salty, it tastes like lasagne in pizza form, and frankly is the best five dollars you could possibly spend.

Great pizza, lit beats, siq cocktails. This place is killin’ it. Definitely give the fricken lamb piz a go. The hawaiian is 10/10 too holy smokes

We visited today for the first time and we couldn’t fault our experience.<br/>We sat at the bar as the tables were taken however the setting was so nice we didn’t move even when a table became free.<br/>Great mood lighting and a drink with white anchovies and bread was the perfect way to start the night.<br/>The pizza was amazing, and we had the chorizo & rockling. Such a great combination and the pizza itself was incredible.<br/>You can also order pieces by the slice, so we tried the cheese pizza slice. This was nothing like any cheese pizza you’ve had before. And generous piece size, at least double the size of your standard piece of pizzas.<br/>Dessert was apple crumble donuts with a sour cream sauce, and the perfect way to finish the meal.<br/>With three alcoholic drinks included, and all this food for two, $88 was very reasonable for the quality of food.<br/>Definitely will be back, can’t wait until our next visit!

So. Bloody. Good. We shared the pastrami and marrow, zucchini, and meatball pizzas and the meaty ones were especially amazing. Crust is thin and delicious and all of the toppings are good quality and just bloody yum. I even (reluctantly) tried the anchovy starter, and despite generally hating them, have to admit that they were lemony and fresh and delicious.

Definitely one of the best pizza joints in the area. Really good flavor with the pizzas. If dining in, the indoor tables are smallish for 2 pizzas though. Love the Pastrami and mushrooms pizzas.

This is a pizza place unlike most, it doesn't look like anything special at first but the pizza is delicious, it's a unique style that is unexpected. The flavours are exceptional and potent. <br/><br/>I personally like to go because I have horrible anxiety and the staff are welcoming and to top everything off, the drinks are phenomenal. The mushroom pizza is the best I’ve tried in a long time. The base is thin, buttery and feels like it contains polenta. The toppings are juicy and really well seasoned. The flavour is enhanced with truffle. Really good, too good to share. Get a whole one for yourself because I ate one while driving home; one hand on the wheel, one in the pizza box. Lucky I bought an extra one for my husband.

From the minute we walked in the staff were friendly and the vibe was awesome. We just moved to the area and are so stoked to have places like Takeaway around! The music was awesome, staff were genuinely happy & engaging, drinks were delish and the pizzas were the best I’ve ever had. Will be back for sure ❤️🍕

The Dexter crew have done it again. Bringing - awesome pizza and awesome cocktails north of bell.<br/><br/>Each time we’ve come the crew have been super friendly. The gluten free pizza bases are also super tasty.<br/><br/>As well as eating in we love grabbing takeaway Takeaway Pizza. It’s becoming a bit of a weekly tradition. Yum.

The best pizza money can buy! The pepperoni pizza is definitely the best pizza on the menu! The base is the perfect amount of crispy and thin, with the saltiness cutting through making each bite more enjoyable than the last. Can say I'm officially addicted to these pizzas, planning to try everything on their menu. Also have tried the chorizo and rockling, lamb, and beef brisket pizza which were al very delicious, but a bit skimpy on the meats tho. Paired with a drink or two makes it an enjoyable meal, as well as the layout is very cute and spacious.

As you can imagine, this pizza place was created by the genius who started Dexter so it was always going to be good.  We had the pepperoni pizza which had 4 types of pepperoni on it, basil and goats cheese.  It was pretty much perfect - crispy base, loads of flavour, the amount of goats cheese was just enough and worked really well.  Can't wait to try more of the menu.  The only downside for me is that the fit out and ambiance/music isn't quite as cool as Dexter (music is gross and too loud lol).  If I could give it 4.9 I would!

Amazing pizza. The base is fantastic. I had the mushroom with vegan cheese. It was so good. Can't wait to return. Also the wine was so good I want a bottle next time 😁

I ordered a lamb pizza and a Cuban cocktail and neither failed to amaze me. The pizza dough was perfection! The pizza was flavoursome without a hefty price and the music and chatter was pleasant and upbeat (not overpower like other places). Defiantly returning with all my girlfriends

Been so excited to try Takeaway Pizza because I'm in love with Dexter. It's conveniently located opposite Dexter I was not disappointed! Loved the pepperoni one and the crust is amazingg. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Delicious, mushroom truffle pizza is a must have. The dough is just chewy and amazing. Can’t get enough of it. Very hearty and oily so make sure your ready for a massive well worth cheat day.

I'm gonna say it - hands down, best pizza I've ever had!! And I have had my fair share of pizza. It's a quaint little joint where you can sit inside or outside on a porch. Staff are extremely friendly. Cocktails are bomb. Pizzas are amazing! The base is delicate and thin making the crust crispy but fluffy on the inside. They used such unique combinations. Who would have thought to put chorizo and rockling together. Then there was pastrami with bone marrow!! Yumm. Definetly will be back to try the rest of the menu.

I kinda feel nervous about posting good reviews for Take Away Pizza because once Melbourne hears about this hidden gem, it’s gonna be hard to get in there. Great space, awesome cocktails, and some of the best pizza you’ve ever eaten. These guys from Dexter know how to restaurant.

I simply love their pizza creations 💖😋, nice and decent place to enjoy drinks and pizzas 🍕. You can also order pizza by slice, I think that’s a bonus because then you can enjoy more than two different style pizzas 😃 if you are going for a full meal 😁

This place simply serves the best pizza! The service is wonderful and I’ll travel the 12km from now on to have this as my takeaway well done you guys

Had the zucchini pizza and was impressed with its flavour. Many “less is more” style pizzas taste boring and just like tomato base sauce, but this place’s pizza we tried had a stronger and yummy garlic taste and a more complex flavour. Really appreciated the mint leaves and the chilli. Good crispy skin on the base’s bubbles too. <br/>The girl made a perfect G&T w lime, also. ☺️

Just as good as Dexter. Every pizza on the menu is awesome - even the rocking and chorizo. Has replaced for the love of pizza as our favourite pizza joint in the north. Well done!

Frozen aperol spritz is a must ... so good and the pizza is great thin based . Service was great very friendly. A great place in the north .10/10

Excellent pizza, but lately the service has really taken a dive. As a regular, I've noticed that every aspect of the service quality has dropped. Gone from a 5 star to 2. Time to go elsewhere.

I was here on the opening night and have come back quite a few times. The service is great, everyone knows their knowledge on the drinks and food. Beautiful pizza... pepperoni is my all time favourite. Keep it up guys!

The pizza here is awesome! <br/><br/>Came here on Friday night and the wait for a table was around 15 minutes. I had a cocktail to start while waiting for my table at the bar. For starters I had the fois gras- it’s a must try! Delectably rich. For their signature pizzas I has the mushroom pizza and the bone marrow with pastrami pizza. Delicious! I can honestly say that these are the best pizzas I have had here in Melbourne. <br/><br/>This venue has been extremely well thought out, from staff selection, cocktail and drink creation and especially the food. <br/><br/>Service is generally friendly but as it is billed as a takeaway, I don’t expect nor want it to be 5 star. Some of the female staff can be a bit abrupt, borderline rude. The male staff there were extremely courteous and friendly. They always checked in on how we were going very accommodating. Only downside is length of time for the food to be served. It took about 30 minutes for the pizzas to be served, hence the 4.5 rating and not the 5. I will definitely be a regular .

Great vibe, amazing food and very friendly staff. We got the slow cooked lamb- definitely recommend. Crispiest gluten free base I’ve ever had. Appreciated the option for vegan mozzarella too. Cool list of cocktails/drinks. Will be back ASAP!

Takeaway Pizza will be rivalling Dexter for one of the highest rated places in Melbourne. The best pizzas I've ever had with the novelty of real ham from the bone, slow cooked lamb and bone marrow. Friendly staff and good set out, would recommend to anyone. Also the Rum baba dessert is 10/10, best cream I've tasted. Move over 400 Gradi, the new king of the north is here.

As a Long time Dexter fan, I had been eagerly awaiting the opening of take away pizza. And boy was it worth the wait!! First visit was for some take away’s. <br/><br/>This has gotta be my new favorite pizza base available! Reminds me of the one from Moore’s head but I think the extra fermentation adds something even extra. Toppings were rich and in the right ratios, so much so I didn’t even get a picture. The pepperoni was amazing, with tasty fat and a good chili kick from one of the salamis. The lamb pizza was just as good, loads of meat, although slightly ‘clumped’ together.<br/><br/>So excited to try out the ‘by the slice’ option and other bar snacks, as well as some tasty cocktails throughout the summer time!

Boy do these guys know how to cook!! I'm a huge fan of Dexter and now equally a huge fan of their new joint. The pizza base is exceptional!!! One of the best I've ever had. We had the margherita and lamb pizza, absolutely delicious! Looking forward to heading back and trying even more on the menu. As always, service and standard on point.

Delicious perfectly balanced cocktails, informed and friendly service, excellent pizzas at a reasonable price. These guys can do no wrong, go see for yourself. Margarita and lamb pizzas were both equally drool worthy. Can’t wait to go back and try the others. Yum yum yum.

Another winner from the team from Dexter.  Delivering great service and atmosphere alongside a wide range of booze and seriously good pizza - its great to have this relaxed and unpretentious addition to the local neighbourhood.  The pizza - I have had the margherita and the pastrami & marrow.  The pastrami & marrow is outstanding!
