Review Thai Splendid - Preston

Wally Chiang
Great Thai restaurant. Quick & friendly service and the food is fantastic. The pork belly is especially tasty. Beers are also cheap here so you can always expect a great time here. This time we ordered something a bit different, the pengnan curry is a bit too sweet for my liking though. Will stick with the green curry next time.

The service was really good and very quick. Staff were really friendly. HOWEVER, the spicy noodle (stir fry) is not spicy at all😭😭😭😭. Moreover they charge $1 for extra coriander (a small portion).

There wasn't much of a choice in Northland mall. The Thai Splendid serves pretty good and spicy Thai food. The noodles are cooked and have that charcoal flavour to it. The fish was deep fried so crispy that we can eat the bones in the middle of the body. Food - 7 Service - 7 Vibe - 5 Price - $$$

I never write bad reviews but this experience was disappointing an uncomfortable. Absolutely horrible service. Walked in at around 8:30, was greeted rudely by the waitress in a black turtleneck mumbling "Oh I guess you can sit down we're not closed yet", even though it says they close at 9:30. 3 of us sat on a table for 4 and put our bag on the spare chair, when the same rude waitress came over and said "Can you please move your bag off this chair" which confused us as they only had one other group of customers in the store, but we did so, and she went to move the chair but the other waitresses behind the counter were giggling, so she didn't and just walked off without saying anything. About 5mins later another waitress impatiently came up to us and took our order, then a bit later the first waitress came back and said very rudely and shortly "when you're ready, go to the counter and order ok". Which we then said we had already ordered and she looked at us blankly and walked away. The whole under 30mins experience of us sitting and eating there, all waitresses stood there glaring at us with their arms crossed, waiting for us to hurry up and finish eating (mind you the other group was still also there), and would go on their phones in front of us and then stand and glare and stare at us eating again which was so uncomfortable. The food tasted rushed and flavourless. Picture below is of a peanut noodle, which tasted nothing of peanuts, and I was over 1/2 way finished and STILL had THAT much egg left in my noodles; why was there so much egg and 0 peanut? The waiter behind the register was very nice, but all the waitresses were horrible and need to learn better customer service. Would not recommend unless you want to feel uncomfortable and rushed whilst eating + eating very low par food.

Ordered Thai fried rice and received half boiled chicken with little bit of leeks and rice. I think the cook was in a hurry to close the kitchen and all the staff too. Food was just an ugly job. not tasty at all.

Lunch was great. Food was served within a minute of being seated. Excellent service. Edit: I revisited the restaurant last week and it has fallen from its grace. The meals came out undercooked and raw. When I raised the concern it was met with disdain. I regret going back there now.

Food is good but staff is not very friendly. I asked her "where can I sit as I have a pram? I don't what to block the way" she said to me "no space the pram will block the way anyway." I don't think that's the answer that she should say to any customers.

Nice atmosphere, new decor. Stir fry basil chicken is nice and arrives quickly shortly after order

Sensational food, great prices and friendly staff. Best Curry Laksa I have ever tasted, and I have travelled 😔Thailand. Have been a few times and will definitely return😊👍😊

Thai Splendid... Not Splendid at all! Just ordered tonight... rice not fried at all just steamed with some boiled chicken and vegetables thrown in! Not to mention no flavour! And the Pad Thai with Beef... dry and tasteless! The only thing half decent and at least hot were the Spring Rolls!

Bad service food was tooo sweet. Wouldn’t recommend

Now I know why they are struggling at this place. My friend and I have been regulars here but not anymore. Waited 15 minutes and no service. People who arrived after us got served first even though we waved to them many times. So annoyed with such just bad customer service we decided to eat next door. Never coming again. Plenty of good thai food around.

We went there after the movies and were very surprised by the prompt service great food wine and good prices. We will definitely go back there again.

Fast service even when restaurant was busy Great food highly recommend:)

We walked in there 5 minutes before the kitchen closed but didnt rush us through. Excellent food. The barramundi in tamarind sauce was divine. Sure to return

The Thai green curry was really tasty as was the coconut ice cream! Will eat there again! Nice staff.

Pretty good food for shopping centre food!! Duck curry was great!

Finally Authentic Thai food for lunch. Worth a visit.

I've already tried a few things on the menu and all are so delicious. Such fresh produce!

Came here for dinner, fancied a Laksa noodle soup after hearing some reviews. I can only assume they do Table Service here. Wait a good 20 mins and trying to catch the eye of a waitress to get an order. They were either avoiding my eyes and clearing tables. I GAVE UP and went across to NANDOS who gave me exemplary customer service, brought out my meal as i had ordered it with a big thankyou and placed my drink bottle which i had completely forgot. Onlu 8.30pm on a weekend after finishing my meal Nandos, i see across to your restaurant it is now completely empty. Obviously you want to finish early rather than serve a PAIDING customer.

Real Thai/Lao food. Usually hard to find in Melbourne.
Natasha O'Brien-Limmer
Delicious Thai cuisine and really well priced
Jeff Archer
Yikes! bland, watery, small.. had the massaman beef curry, 4 small cubes of beef, 2 tiny sections of potato & shredded carrot.
The menu proudly states “Just Like Eating in Bangkok” errrr No! I travelled through Bangkok regularly, the food here is a poor reflection compared to the real thing (well the dish I had)..
Maryanne Marasco
Excellent service and great food. The restaurant was able to cater to altering the mains which was a must for us. Lots of menu options. Overall a very nice dinner!
Sarita
A really pathetic vegetable and tofu pad thai. Not hard to understand why the place is empty! First and last time there. Service was pretty inadequate as well.
Kath Cooper
Lovely food, quick service and good price. Was seated quickly and our food came within 5 minutes. Very polite and friendly staff! Would come back

Came here specifically for the stewed pork hock and was not disappointed. Friendly welcoming staff, quick service I will definitely be coming back

Authentic taste of Thai food, you never get disappointed coming here. First time I visited the restaurant, I was so surprised all the food tasted just like I had in Bangkok. If you feel like Thai, here you’ll find what you’re craving for.

The chicken satay skewer at Thai Splendid is very very dry. The sauce (which I like) could not hide the fact of how old this chicken was. I was so disappointed after such a nice presentation.
The pad thai (forgot the name of this dish) that I ate was very sweet and slimy, which wasn’t to my liking.
But the chicken satay actually ruin it for me.

Updated Review

We came here to enjoy the Thai style laksa. I had the chicken laksa and my friend had the beef, chicken and prawn. It was flavoursome and the proteins were nice and tendee too.

***
This is my new Thai place!
Soon as we walked in was greeted by a very friendly waiter with a big smile. Sat outside to enjoy the nice warm weather.

Service was friendly and fast. Meals are made to be shared so we ordered the chicken pad thai and the papaya salad. Both were delicious and the servings were generous. Also had the lychee and Fruit Punch mocktail I highly recommend as they were both delicious.
Can't wait to come back on a cold winter night to try the curry.

The only reason i did not score 5 is I asked specifically for no nuts in my meals as I have an allergy...the salad came with peanuts luckily they were still whole so I just picked them out.
Also if you use credit there is a surcharge.
Lole Lole Lole
Ordered Thai beef salad and crab papaya salad. The Thai beef salad had chilli jam dressing which was thick, sweet and spicy. Needed something plain to complement otherwise the jam gets a bit much. The soft shell crab papaya salad was quite tasty.
Hana
Very poor service!
The lady never talk and smile, but doing good service to the next table(2 ladies speak Thai)!
Foods are under average! I ordered noodle soup, it was not even warm enough!

Went for a family dinner, had a HAIR IN MY MEAL, asked for that meal and the rice I mixed with it not to be charged on the bill, they charged for it anyway.

Excluding the hair, food was average at best.

Not recommending for food quality and definitely not for draconian service.

Good luck if you decide to take the risk and go and watch out for the hairs!!

An enjoyable, freshly cooked meal. Located in the restaurant section at the entrance to Northland shopping centre, this is one of the safer options.

Service is friendly even if the English is simple and curt. We’re not sure they understood our food preference requests and as is the norm, these were ignored.

The spicy soup noodles are nicely spiced, medium and may not suit a palate not used to Thai! Tamarind, tangy and spicy it was well cooked. The spicy flat rice noodles were hot and lovely. The vegetables warm and still crunchy (broccoli in particular). Tom Yum soup was small, too salty and there wasn’t much to write home about.

Coconut water was sugared and the green tea was a tea bag in water.

At 20 odd dollars a person by the time we had drinks this wasn’t cheap. But the serving sizes are large enough next time we could have gotten away ordering one plate of noodles between two.
Ordered pad Thai to go! Made an order over the phone, staff were super friendly. Arrived and picked up our order! Didn’t need to wait, super efficient. Chicken pieces a bit chunky and missing a lemon :(
Sunny Days Melbourne
This place never disappoints. Whether you eat in or order take away, you always know that they will look after you well.
The food is consistent, well spiced and beautifully presented.
We ordered takeaway today. The papaya salad is a must for us - always fresh, crunchy and perfectly balanced between sweet and salty.
Their creamy green curry with generous servings of meat always goes well with jasmine rice.
It's always a splendid time at Splendid Thai!
Chali Samindi
The food came out so fast!! I waited probably like 7 mins.
Everyone was so nice and friendly. Everything was clean and the food was pretty good too.
Highly recommend the Thai iced coffee with milk. SO GOOD!

Pricing is very reasonable. I went with my boyfriend, had two seperate dishes, the iced coffee (just to try it out) and an entire bottle of wine all for just $54!
Would definitely go again.

One of the more decent restaurants in Northland shopping centre, Thai Splendid served Thai meals in a semi-fast food style. The meals were decent, the selection was large and ranges from entrees to dessert, vegetarian to different types of meat. Service and ambiance were okay for a semi fast food restaurant.
Daniel Savvinos
Been here many times with my girlfriend however usually after choosing something else to eat nearby. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and a can of drink for $10. The noodles were nice and the chicken ok, opted not to mix in the peanuts.
Quinn Tran
This place is really nice, i love the space and food here, the food is very tasty, good service, serve food really fast, the staff is friendly
Andy Loves Food
The place and food is good. It’s more like quick service as fast food style, I will not categorise this place as fine dine. Food and drink options are reasonable. Definitely a better place as compared to busy food court in northland.

I went here on a Friday night with one of my girlfriends, the venue wasn’t busy so it wasn’t too loud. I ordered a Thai beef salad and chicken skewers. I would not recommend the chicken skewers, the texture of the chicken was not nice and the taste wasn’t good either. The Thai beef salad was ok.

Came here for lunch.
The food was actually okay, better than what I was expecting.
Won’t probably hurry back to this place but would definitely choose this over Papa Rich if I’m ever wanting Asian food at Northland!

Thanks Thai Splendid.

Went during lunch time on Sunday, had pad thai with combination meat, panang curry and betal leaf. Pad Thai was nice except there was too much sauce added to the noodles that it was too heavy or salty. My partner enjoyed his curry though, it was creamy with a hint of spicyness. The betel leaves came last and we were really interested to try this this entree was bursting with amazing flavors at Kinn Thai, Knox. However we both ended up disappointed at how fishy it tasted with too much sauce and the fish inside just didn't work with the flavours. Paid with cash and got free can of soft drink. Was filling meal but not overly enjoyable.

Don’t come here!!! It’s a scam.
0 star if this is an option.
I went to have lunch today at Mother’s Day and paid by cash. The menu stated clearly that if you pay by cash you get free soft drink.
However, the staff told me it’s a public holiday today, therefore no free soft drink. In fact, today is NOT a public holiday. And there is no indication on the menu the offer is excluded on public holiday.
BLACKLISTED FOREVER!!!

Come here regularly. We mostly order the Thai boat noodle or fried rice/noodles (pad thai / pad kee mau). We like the fired calamari as well. Spring Rolls and Thai fish cakes are also decent.

I had dinner and dessert here on a weeknight and it was very quiet. The dessert options were a bit expensive for what we got, but the pad thai that I had for dinner was delicious and arrived quickly. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Thai Splendid is a great Thai establishment. It is a great looking place, modern fit out, with ample outdoor seating. The atmosphere is very good and service is friendly and quick. Plenty to choose from on their menu and every time we have attended the food is fresh, authentic and worth the decision to come here.
Located at Northland Shopping Centre near cinema entrance. Very convenient and accessible. It is a delight to come here and you are left wanting more. Food is well balanced and not over sweet which can be the case with many Thai restaurants.
Give them a go and see the difference. Cheers to all.
It’s been a while since we have been to this place. We where avoiding it, as we ate here once a week for weeks when it first opened
We are a group of 4. Same 4 every time. Sometimes 6. So we where dropping about $100 every week. We had become familiar with the staff
Until one visit, when our food arrived and I kid you not, they where all half empty plates
We asked what happen and where told the plates where bigger! Ha ha ha. Ok. Not true but ok. Didn’t go back for a year
Till tonight. Ordered 6 plates of food. My sis asked for the pad see ew minus all veggies, except for bok choy. Waiter tell us there isn’t much bok choy. My sis says “well add a bit more since I’ve deducted all other veggies. He tells her it’s $1.00 extra
My sis says don’t worry about it. They are already halving the meals. You hardly get proteins and veggies anyhow in the meals as they skimming on those too. And yet. You pay extra for a few extra leaves? Mind you asked them to not add the other veggies
A few minutes later another waitress comes over to apologise...
Bok choy is in fact $2.00 extra!!! Ha ha ha
Long story short. They added some more. See pic
Food was nice I have to say
I got an apology when paying. I told her it is sad that they have just lost us for $2, when we where happy to come and spend so much money and weekly
The end of the story? 2 of us barely made the 5 min trip home. Lucky we have 2 toilets. The food went right through us
On a positive note. Since I didn’t get to digest it, there was very little calorie intake. Winning...
That’s what the 2 rating was for
Good place for a quick bite. Not too many Thai food options at lunchtime around. Ive tried many dishes here now and have enjoyed most. I strongly recommend the noodle soups, either the pork or chicken. The fact they give you the traditional Thai sweet/sour/salt/chilli tray to garnish to your own liking is a huge plus.

Cheap $10 lunch today. Photos on menu looked good. Nothing like what was served .
My beef stir fry very small serve and large scoop of rice.
Wife had Pad Se Ew. No Chinese broccoli nor egg. Complained and waitress checked with cook.
He claimed ?? he included both . Not true . Repeated to staff and cook continued same claim. Noodles looked like slime. chicken tough and old. Worst Thai ever. First and last time here. Other reviews ??? doubtful.

both myself and a work colleague both had chicken pad thai as a lunch value pack $10.00. told we couldn't get the drink deal because it was a cash only special, at the northland store 31/8/2017.
Within a few hours we both were terribly sick vomiting and sore stomachs.
the pad thai was dry, the noodles were glued together and the thought of ever eating there again makes me feel ill again.
An absolute disspointment

Enjoyable Thai and an absolute value for money .... especially at "quick meal" dinner.

Great location, out in the courtyard of Northland shopping centre.
It was quiet on the two nights I went "solo" .... should be more people enjoying this place.

Food wise; generous serving and authentic.
Pad Thai, was ordinary at $15.00, so was the House White. Generous in size, quite tasty, however Noodles were clumpy and dry 6/10.
Massaman Beef Curry on rice for about $12.00 is awesome, Beef chunks, Potato and Carrot too, beautiful, smooth, balanced Massaman curry sauce, but it was cold, although the rice were warm/hot ... 6.5/10 .... you can't served "cold" curry sauce ..... okay, house red - Shiraz.

Overall, will try the rest of their Menu, for "quick meals"/dinner this place is an absolute value for money. JT- 13/08/2017 & 16/08/2017.

I have been here in Melbourne 7 years. I tried numbers of Asian style restaurant and this is the WORST I have encountered. The food there literally tastes like it's been refrigerated since Stone Age. If anyone wants to try Thai food, don't ever come here. There is no different from throwing off your money to the sea:)
Quarter Of A Pounder
Went to Northland to have some late lunch ard 3pm,
Made the mistake to walk into an empty place, only because nothing around looked interesting.

ordered
Pork hock on rice
Springrolls
pad see ew

first annoying part was they brought you the menu but we had to walk to the counter to order and pay. Apparently according to the Waitress there is no table service?

Ordered and waited a long time for the food despite the fact there were no customers dining.
It appeared the cook was outside having a ciggi break.

Noodle tasted very sweet and the noodles were all stuck together.
Hock was not bad but the amount was shocking, considering the fact you can get a pork hock for 3$ a kg the amount was shockingly small (check pic)

Springroll was blend and tasteless BUT it seemed homemade atleast, however i could be wrong too as there are many places that sell homemade springrolls in Richmond

Only good thing if any is
if you pay cash you get a can of beverage for free (but the only choice is water or solo)

CONCLUSION:
wouldn't recommend unless you dont like KFC or Mcdonalds in northland.
Shil Grao
Food and prices are ok. Have had better Thai food elsewhere. The 'pay cash and get a free drink for weekday lunch' is lame because very clearly cash transaction are not going on the book and if you pay by card you don't get a free drink!

Yum Yum Yum get in and try!
My new favourite Thai restaurant!
Fresh, clean healthy food and really lovely staff makes for a pleasant trip out 🙏🏼😉

I consider this restaurant better than Pappa Rich next door (yes I know they are two different types of Asian cuisine, but if I had to choose one over the other, it would always be Thai Splendid).

The boat noodle soup with pork is authentic and their fish cakes are tasty too. They also have a deal at lunch where if you pay by cash, you get a free soft drink or bottle of water, so that's a nice plus!
Nikki
Just paid $16 for take away green curry and despite the massive note at the bottom of the menu that rice is "recommended" with a curry - which naturally led me to believe that there was no rice....it turns out the dish is 2/3 rice and 1/3 curry - rhe rice had better be good cause its costing me about 10 bucks!! not happy at all

It's close to where I live and absolutely amazing! It is one of a few restaurant makes you wow at every dish. Local gem. damn some of the reviews are so harsh.

I love Thai Splendid! It is rare to find good authentic thai food and this restaurant has never let me down. I travel to Thailand every year and this place is my home away from home. The porkbelly is to die for, I order it each and every time we go. We all ordered dishes and shared, I cant go past the platter which has pork crackle, papaya salad, boiled eggs, chicken wings, fish cakes and noodles. The service is also great.
Yedda Yu
I paid 15 bucks for a crab meat fried rice. The rice was extremely dry, it looks like left over for so many days! I could not find any crab meat but just fried eggs. Total rip off! Not going back there any more. Very unhappy!

I've been here few times with friends and we've tried:
- Fish cakes: nice, I like them.
- Chicken pad thai: hmm, too much noodle for my liking. Also, I had to ask for chilli every time >.< First time came here, asked a waiter for chilli, he went to the kitchen and never came back >.< but I was in a hurry so just gave it a miss. On the 2nd visit, was given dried chilli flakes, then the last time was given fresh ground chilli...
- Boat noodles: serving was huge. It was okay.
- Papaya salad with soft shell crab: can be easily shared between 2 or 3 people. It was okay.
- Caramelised pork belly: my friend said it was a bit too salty.

Staffs are friendly, ambience is nice.

The Thai Boat Noodles is very delicious, papaya salad is just ok. The food is considerably cheap. The service was good. Its a great place for quick lunch. However we tried the dinner menu last week, the food was horrible! Its a let down.

My family and I got takeaway from here a few days ago. We ordered a beef mussuman, Thai green chicken, pad Thai and vegetables in oyster sauce. The flavours were pretty good in all of the dishes but the execution wasn't there. Our curries were extremely liquidy and didn't have much in them, it was more like a soup than anything. It was pretty disappointing and it's not the cheapest place either. The paid Thai was well below average with noodles that were clumped and stuck together and over cooked. Not a lot of flavour. Veggies were standard. Probably won't be going back.
JY
Absolutely enjoyed our meal here. We ordered Pad Thai and Tom Yam Noodle Soup and were pleasantly surprised at how authentic the flavours are.

Cleanliness- 5/5
Service- 5/5 attentive and polite staff
Presentation of food- 4/5
Taste of food - 4/5
Value for money- 4/5

Stuck in Northland (Heidelberg West) and not accepting the chance to be exposed in a food court we headed to Thai Splendid. The interior tries to be pretty cool and funky and pretty much succeeds. Seats are solid and table for twos are a good size making sharing easy. It's amazing how much seating there is inside and outside. I reckon the lighting fixtures are great but sitting near the window can be overly bright but perfect for foodie photogs. Also note if you sit near the window you are really really close to the people on the other side, be that good or bad.

I ordered from the counter which seemed a little bit odd since the place looked classy enough for table service - might just be a lunch thing. Anyway I mentioned I'd like a Thai Beef Salad which made the guy confused, 'You mean a beef salad?' Upon reflection of course he was right. Would I order an 'Italian' Spaghetti carbonara - jeez I can be stupid. Also grabbed a Pad Thai and a Thai ice coffee (how ironic those dishes have the word Thai in them).

Got all the gear promptly but not too quick to worry me. Coffee is very intense and sweet, you have been warned! Pad Thai is also a touch sweet but pretty yummy as well. Needed more lemon and staff were happy to oblige. That Beef Salad was also very tasty, decent size, tender beef with a touch of chilli. Disappointed that there wasn't coriander and too few mint leaves. Possibly there are playing safe to their core market.

All in all this is solid food, reasonably priced in an attractive setting. Certainly better than all the other food outlets in Northland. Recommend for sure.

Delicious, very authentic Thai ingredients. So good to have the Thai vegetables like the baby eggplants and peppercorn spices. Great entrées like the scallops and the betel leaf and excellent mains with lots of choice. Worth the price.

Excellent service, fresh hot food. Never disappointed! Been here a couple of times and cannot fault the food. Service is friendly and prompt and food tasty and serving sizes are generous! I've had the curry puffs, chicken pad thai and peanut noodle and each time they've been delicious!

Always great staff and service! The prawn Thai fried rice is exceptional and the menu well priced. Definitely recommended. (And if you pay cash you get a free drink 😂) Bless 'em.

Decent Thai food. Great for a quick lunch or fast Thai before the movies. Slightly on the pricey side for average Thai food. Highly recommend the Tom Yum Soup, Scallops, Pad Thai, Duck Salad and Beef Salad

Looks great. Why ask me laos or thai when your going to give me the wrong one anyway. 'mild' was extremely spicy! Do NOT order the betel leaf coz its VERY misleading.
The chicken wings in the papaya dish was extremely dry almost like its been fried over and over again x 4, more like crispy skin on bones.
Sorry to say I'm so disappointed and won't be back!

Personally I prefer slightly "dry" Pad Se-ew, I requested to be spicy, taste was ok but nothing very impressive.

Barramundi fried fish with chilli sauce, good deep fried, crispy skin.

Overall was ok, personally thought a little bit pricey to its food quality.
This is my new favourite Thai restaurant in the Northern Suburbs! The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly. I really liked their Papaya Salad to eat with Sticky rice and Pad Se Ew. The food reminded me of being back in Thailand! The green curry is nice but I do think it was a bit too sweet.

DISGUSTING service! Came here on a Tuesday night to grab dinner ... 20 minutes later no waitress came to take my order. Even waved and trying to get their attention. They were trying to be too busy avoid by eye and clearing tables in a half empty restaurant. I took my busy across to NANDOS.

If i could give this pace a 0/10... i would.

Best Thai restaurant by far. Ordered the Panang duck curry, combination pad Thai, Tom yum soup and beef salad. The curry was sweet and creamy with the succulent pieces of duck meat. The beef salad was not overpowered by fish sauce and much added unique flavours were infused with the marinade of the sirloin. The pad thai was not oily or salty. The venue was clean and vibrant. Definitely worth the thumbs up.

On a Recent Trip to Northland it was lunch time so my shopping companions and I decided to stop for some lunch. We didn't want anything located in the food court. So one of my dining companions suggested Thai Splendid which is located outside the shopping centre. So after looking through the menu I decided on the Peanut Noodles. I then found out if you pay cash you get a free soft drink of bottle of water. So I had a bottle of water. The Noodles were absolutely delicious and there was plenty of chicken, sauce and even sesame seeds as well. For lunch time it was busy but constant. No sooner did people leave people came and sat at that table. Staff are friendly and polite and will leave you alone and not rush you to hurry up and eat your food. I will definitely be back as there were a lot of other things on the menu I want to try. Prices are not too bad but I am always happy to pay extra for good quality food. Remember to pay cash so you can get a free soft drink or bottle of water.

A modern take on the authentic Thai dishes. Very clean, crisp and fresh flavours. Fast service. Tasty food! However I thought the servings were a bit stingy. If u ordered such dishes in Thailand you'd get much more for your buck. It's fair to say Thai food is getting overly popular so prices have increased everywhere. I recommend this place for a quick tasty meal. Nonetheless I'll be back!

Very Thai flavour restaurant, overall the experience is not bad.
Good: Menu looks awesome with the photos, good variety of food, quite a few dishes not easily found else where. The Thai papaya salad plate has a very Thai flavour. Pad Thai noodle is a bit too sweet but not bad.
Need improvements: Chickens were very dry and tasteless, especially the chicken wings in the salad plate. Even the chicken pieces in Pad Thai were dry.
Could've been 4/5 instead of 3 if the chicken was better.

Location: As it's a part of Northland shopping centre, parking is not an issue. It's on the entrance; therefore, very convenient.

Ambience: comfortable and trendy. There is an open kitchen without glass.

Price: Ummm.... It doesn't feel expensive to me

Food: We ordered pad thai, chilli spicy Duck and soup. Duck was tasty and hot; soup wasn't bad either; but their pad thai was bland. I was surprised that pad thai should be their specialty. Therefore, I have given them 3.0 rating due to pad thai.

Will I recommend this restaurant to anyone? Yes

The chicken green curry is delicious, as is the the black sticky rice. Affordable and delicious. Have never had any issues here, been many times.

Food was omg delicious, serving were perfect food was fresh and service was nice, even though the waitress didn't speak much she was friendly enough. The only negative is my friends and I felt like we were being pushed out the door as it was nearing the end of the night. But overall fantastic food will definitely be back!

I ordered red duck curry, very tasty and fresh ingredients, the only thing I can complain about is the pieces of duck and veggies are too big,

Sweet. Everything was sweet even when it was supposed to be spicy.... Maybe they mixed up their salt and sugar? Can't taste anything other than sugar.....

Will not be back.

Good for a quick bite to eat. The flavours are full on and fresh, food comes out quick and service is always with a smile. Only gripe maybe relook at your plating, eating a salad out of long flat plate is not easy with out spilling on the table.

Was pretty empty so food arrived quickly. I ordered Pad Thai and the noodles were a bit mushy. I normally order it from Craigieburn and its much nicer there. Satay sticks and curry puffs were nice and sons prawn fried rice was also tasty.

Love my thai and usually we go to the thai splendid in criagieburn but we were at northland so we decided since it looks exactly the same why not eat here.

Busy but still plenty of table when we got there. Service efficient as always.

Fort order of the day was the delish milk tea! In fact it was less sweet here then the one at craigieburn.

So we ordered the usual - duck curry, pork belly and soft shell crabs papaya salad.. Our fav dishes! Similar cooking skills between the two stores but we did notice the difference. Absolutely delicious but if we were to choose we would prefer togo back to craigieburn just because the flavours are alot more intense and the meat is much more tender.

But def will go back if were nearby!!

LOVE this restaurant. The food is so amazing compared to other Thai restaurants. It taste authentic and fresh - which is what Thai food is all about. I tried their duck salad and the amount of duck in it was astounding!! Big chunks of duck which you never find in a salad! Fish cakes are packed full of flavour - it's a must have! Pad thai is the real deal. Duck curry is aromatic & to die for! They serve 1 cup of rice, but really, it's 2 cups! So generous. Also, if you're feeling parched then try the thai milk tea

One of the best local thai restaurants I have eaten at. It is definitely a place to visit. The food is very good and served so beautifully. The laksa is amazing!

This place does seem very busy on Friday night. So busy that it took half an hour for a combination fried rice to arrive. Too busy for them to remember my drink order and came to confirm 20 minute later. Okay I get it's busy and i don't mind waiting for a bit, but let's talk about their food, fried rice, beef were dried, with a bit of tiny chicken strips and raw uncut vegetable. What else can I say?

Absolutely love this place! Favorite Thai place great service, lovely welcoming staff. Quick service for lunch (waited under 10 mins). Chicken pad Thai nothing to fault, peanut sauce noodles very delish! So excited to return🙌🙌:)

The food here is actually quite amazing as compared to other Thai restaurants that have been around for many years. The pad thai, tom yum fried rice, salad and beef rice are delicious and well presented. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. The only problem was that there was no drink menu provided and the waiter was not recommending anything except for a bottle of mineral water. We looked around and saw diners with other drinks, and we asked for those drinks as well.

This new thai restaurant at Northland is a secret gem. Been twice within 3 weeks and cant wait to go back. The foid is really amazing and you get lots on the serving...for the price you will not be dissapointed.
The deep fried fish i think is there signature dish thsts going to be my next dish. I had the squid and deep fried salmon really yummy. Great service and really nice setting.
