Review Burn City Smokers - Preston

Started coming here about 9 years ago and have never been disappointed. Service always efficient and friendly. Portion sizes more than adequate and food flavoursome. Small but adequate beverage list. Great value for money. Ok

Eaten from here a few times both takeaway and inside. Reasonably priced. Service is fantastic and pasta was great. Pizza also decent although not wood fired. Love the table mats made of paper that the kids can draw on. Distracts from wanting ipads! Hidden gem

It used to be (few years back when they just opened) one of the best around the area. I recently visited the place and the food was some what disappointed. The scallop starter was way too salty, Pasta (marina and piccante) was tasteless. We did not eat pizza, and pizza could have been better... We may go back to give it a chance (perhaps the chef had an absolute tast-bud off day???) Since we used to love that place.

A Lamb pizza, topped with yogurt, and other trimmings that raise the tastebuds to another level. My wife, an Abruzzian Italian, who knows her pasta, thought she was eating at her Nona’s place. So good, service to a T. We loved it and recommend it highly.

Took the visitors from Perth here and they said it was the best pasta they've had. Overall a great experience

Service was reasonably good and quick, very disappointed with Spaghetti Amatriciana, very dry, no sauce and no taste, worst I've ever tried. I don't think I'll be going back

Delicious food. I had the pizza with king prawns and shared garlic bread, mushrooms and bruschetta. Bruschetta would've been nicer on some crusty ciabatta or french stick but the produce was still delicious. Service was very good. Polite and friendly. Highly recommend! Relaxed atmosphere and fairly modern

I asked for olives but they missed it , regardless it was a nice pizza.

I never usually reply with negative comments, but i was bitterly disappointed. At Meatstock, I ordered a brisket burger and beef rib. The rib was extremely salty, full of fat and inedible and the brisket burger was so plain with the beef being a little on the chewy side. Like i said, I never usually complain, but at $25 for a single beef rib (which most was thrown away) and $15 for a burger that had nothing more the 2 very small pieces of beef, mustard and pickle, i was very disappointed.

We had them cater a party and everyone loved the food! The brisket and pulled pork are amazing!

Thanks Burn City Smokers for your generous donation to the Peter Mac Cancer Foundation. Not only great food but great corporate citizens as well, cheers Ray

Stumbled across the new Burn City pop-up the Grand Hyatt Melbourne & it was amazing. Beautifully smoked meats (short rib & chicken were incredible), amazing service & in a great location. Look out for the red cow!

Came down to Flemington, I'm going to admit, Burn City Smokers was the reason I was there. They ran out of brisket, no big deal, was told to come back in 30 minutes, came back in 45, still not ready, poor form.

Great tasting beef ribs - nice pink ring around the edges, had great pepper crust and melting tenderness, very flavourful - dont know about the little carrot slices that it came with lol that was just decoration I guess - but the beef was beautiful on its own

Had dinner at the test kitchen in South Kingsville last night and the food was divine. Our group ordered burgers, ribs, bangers and mash and waffles for dessert. My smoked chicken and slaw burger was amaaaaazing. The kid's scoffed their bangers and mash and our friend loved his ribs. Family friendly with great service, we will definitely be going back.

Amazing burgers, come out quick, well presented and great taste, very juicy. Remand you try it.

The most amazing beef ribs (and meat in matter of fact) I've ever had!

Lunch at the Test Kitchen in South Kingsville today was delicious. My son, who doesn't like chicken, ate all the chicken and asked if we could order more! Will definitely be back. Btw, I love the big retro speakers.

Best BBQ I have had I a long time! Beef Rib was big, moist and tender. Bloody delicious.
Reece Agland
Had the rib was fantastic and unctuous but at $20 over priced for just one rib $15 a fairer price

Burn City Smokers have been so amazing. They catered a post-wedding BBQ at our house and everything was stress free, simple and absolutely delicious! The team were so friendly and super responsive (we actually asked them to cater last minute, and it wasn't a problem at all). Thanks so much guys!

Brisket and beans were a sensation at Preston food hood

Brilliant. Loved it. Need more. Any attempt to describe how good this food was would be a gross understatement and an insult to the proprietor. You need to eat hear.
Kevin Dick
This is authentic barbecue. Super tasty and very hard to not want more once you start.
