Amazing pho here, I had the rare beef and beef brisket with substituted thin egg noodles instead of rice noodles. The noodles were perfectly chewy and cooked slowly in the hot broth. The beef was super thin and tasty, I’ve had more tender beef through, still great. ($14) massive bowl. Broth was clean and flavoursome, not too salty, just right. All the salads / herbs served alongside very fresh. Chili oil was perfect! Also had hoisin and sriracha on the table. Pork Spring rolls were super crunchy outside but moist and juicy inside, packed with filling ($10) some of the best I’ve had in Melbourne. Clean restaurant and friendly enough service. Highly recommended.

Their spicy pork noodle is really good. Also their Pork Spring Rolls. Friendly service and cozy environment. Good place for gathering.

Only having a big bowl of Pho and you will be full. I was hungry before arriving and feel full of energy after leave

The chef really is 5 star man! All my life, I hate spicy food. Now, I learnt to appreciate Special BÚN BΓ’ HUαΊΎ with reducing chilly paste! Not just dine-in, I like Special Seafood Fried Rice take -away. 10/10 excellent wok fried rice. Full Flavours!! Mr.Tam ( the manager) makes the best Vietnamese Coffee for us. He even shared with me recipes to make few dishes at home. They offer all guests FREE home-made TEA. Restaurant's two entrances ( from High Street or from Preston Market). FREE 2 hours parking if you park in Preston Market carpark... Can't say Thank You enough.

Strolling on High street preston looking for some good Nasigoreng stumbled upon this restaurant. Could not dine in but did a takeaway. Repented ordering from here, the food had no flavour at all even though I requested them to make it spicy. The prawn was blande and so was the rice. Thanks to ABC sauce which saved my hunger. The food was ready in 5min after I had placed my order, that alone should have given me a hint how well they prepare their food before serving. I have had much much better Nasigoreng than this. Never visiting again!!!

Tonight we decided to spoil ourselves and ordered Uber eats from Phuong Nam in Preston! All I can say is NEVER EVER ORDER HERE! The food arrived quickly, that’s a plus but it was all down hill from there...the order was wrong, when I called the guy said he called me three times when I insisted my phone didn’t ring he then said he was too busy to ring so basically β€˜ too bad’ the food was cold, substandard and downright awful. Everything was cold, the spring rolls mushy, the pork cold and squirmy, the rice tasted as though it has petroleum in it. We tried to eat it but found it too awful to eat, so much money down the drain! Within 30 minutes all three of us had upset tummies and heartburn even from the tiny amounts we ate. So very disappointed, if we could give negative stars we would. I rarely, if ever write reviews but this place was so bad, my whole family insisted we write a review to warm others. Absolutely Disgusting!

Amazing and delightful authentic Vietnamese food from a family that puts their heart and soul into everything they do. We've eaten at all the best Vietnamese restaurants up and down Victoria Street and Springvale, but none of them match Phuong Nam! The steamed duck with egg noodles is mind blowing, they put goji berries, shiitake mushrooms and dates in it and it is truly addictive.

Worst Place..They cannot communicate in english and dishes are below average and uncooked.

Language issues with staff members.

Twice they got me the wrong dish.

Special fried rice .. Rice not even cooked properly.

Half cooked PORK if its bbq pork for Pho

Horrible Chicken. Some seasoning and chicken stock are flavourless like PHO...

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED...

(Zomato Rating 2.5) Cheap and cheerful however this time, Vietnamese in Preston! Having no knowledge of the dining scene along High Street we selected Phuong Nam as it seemed quite busy. We chose three items off the menu and one, the pork chop with broken rice, based on the recommendation by folk dining at the table next to us who were all eating that dish. We enjoyed our choices also the friendly service.

What really stand out was they serve shredded water spinach in the veggie side, something that you would find in Vietnam. The Bun Bo Hue was decent, very flavourful broth also plenty of meats and noodle. The coconut water is average but that is not important. I came for the nood and it was good !

Phuong Nam at Preston. Special beef noodle is fine and tasty. Fried spring rolls and drinks are total terrible. Coffee is too weak to drink if you call it is a Vietnamese coffee. No no no.
