Miss Margret is a great find in the northern suburbs. Being Coeliac, I was thrilled by the amount of GF options available and also their knowledge of cross contamination, having a separate prep area in the kitchen. I had the coconut pancakes which were fluffy and light with a delicious combination of maple and citrus flavors. I also noticed that the cafe is family friendly, accommodating prams if need be. I will definitely be back!
My local cafe. Good coffee, locally staff, great salads and leave some room for homemade cake. It's run as a social enterprise so your coffee bucks are doing good. Charity dinners once in a while are a great way to meet other locals.
Great food and warm atmosphere. We went there on the first weekend but the cafe felt like it's been running for a while. Expecting only great things from here
Sweet potato pancakes were great, hot chocolate was fantastic!! Service very friendly.
Yummy food! Especially love the kale salad, the coconut pancake, the baked beans and the tart . Great customer service too!
We loved the delicious tarts and salad and friendly efficient service.....worth going back again.

Really nice people, wonderful Kopi-O, and great food!!!
Scrumptious hot chocolate....perfect for the chilly weather. Congrats on opening a wonderful concept cafe. I'll be back
Great people yummy food and perfect coffee. I like that it's a social enterprise
Go support these lovely folks making excellent food and trying to change things for the better.
We love homemade! Miss Margaret is awesome!
One of my favourite breakfast places in Melbourne. The food is really good. Fresh and excellent. Locally sourced and tasty AF! The only downside I see with the place is the space is a bit small and a bit ungainly to navigate. Not quite enough room to feel fully relaxed. That said if it is a good day sit out the front! It is small but full of love! A great local spot that needs all the support it can get! Worth a visit!
Beautiful food and the coffee is fantastic. I had the mushroom breakfast my partner has the avo smash. So yummy 😀 The staff are lovely. Highly recommend.

Came to miss Margaret to grab a healthy lunch option. Salad was good & huge portion but not too big.
Coffee was far too hot though. So that could use some work.
Lovely staff & decor.
Excellent poached eggs, the mushrooms were brilliant. The coffee was hot ( in a good way) and full of flavour- I love the cups that keep it hotter for longer. The service was great, they were friendly and efficient
Ordered the granola. Coconut yoghurt was thick. The granola was crunchy, nicely toasted and not overly sweet. Fresh fruit was lovely. Chai tea was fantastic.
Love this place. I've just moved to the area and am on the hunt for a new local. Miss Margaret might be it! I had the baked beans with avocado and a poached egg. It was delicious and the serving size was very generous. Friends had the pumpkin hummus and almond porridge, both were very happy with their meals. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Will be back.
I ordered the baked beans and it was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and food come out relatively quick. Overall, very impressed and would defiantly come here again ✨💕
My girlfriend and I visited miss Margaret yesterday for lunch & coffee we both enjoyed the heater at the door and the feel of the cafe! Lunch was nice good size servings but what stood out the most was our hot chocolates! I had a 70% dark chocolate and it was delicious!
Fresh delicious food !!! Great value for money!!! Wonderful helpful service !! Great coffee and yummy hot chocolates 5 out of 5 :) our new local
Love this little cafe. All organic and environmentally friendly. Menu is creative and constantly getting better. Great coffee, great food, great service.
A great little spot to eat. The coffee is always good and the staff always happy to help out w any food intolerances. It always seems to have a friendly atmosphere and the charity dinners are always a good night to meet new people.
Always amazing food and lovely staff! I haven't had a bad meal here – can recommend a casual brekkie and the charity dinners are so good too.
Great food and friendly staff, tried their breakfast and charity dinner, generous portion with hearty flavours. Definitely great value n for good purpose. Will visit again for sure!
Went with the coconut pancake for something a bit different and it was spectacular. More than your standard breakfast options of bacon and eggs. This cafe has some wonderful healthy choices.
Great food. Had the omelette today. Nothing over the top fancy, but a notch above ordinary brunch fare with decent serving sizes and generous condiments. Good value and good service.
What can I say.... The food, delicious! the coffee, perfect. The staff, always wearing a big smile. I have tried just about everything on the menu. Our favourite local that has us so in love with the food, we now order the incredible cakes to take home and share with our family and friends. Extremely accommodating for those with allergies or intolerances.
This is the first time I've ever written a reviewed. I love the gang at Miss Margaret. Not only do I love the healthy food options which are made tasty (and being one of the only local places to use coconut milk), but they always accomodate to my food intolerances and never make me feel bad for the inconvenience. Thanks ladies!
If you're going to the Miller-Gilbert shops for coffee, this is the place to go because it has the best coffee and hot chocolate. It's also very friendly. I've been for breakfast twice and had the coconut pancakes both times because it's both tasty and interesting!
Great food - love the Great salads. Really delicious cakes. Very nice friendly staff. Cute interior. I will be back for more delicious food.
Love the sweet potato rosti!!!! Unpretentious, good quality food that also tastes good. Friendly staff and clean simple cafe also adds to the experience. What's also lovely is that they have a monthly event with a charity fundraising purpose. Haven't been to one yet but hope to do so soon!!!
Amazing food and coffee, great service and funky platewear.
Had the Potato rosti which was unbelievable. Will be adding Miss Margaret's to our rotation for our weekly date breakfast.
Thank you ladies

The chorizo breakfast dish here is amazing - and the staff are so friendly. Wonderful to have a new local cafe and even better that it's a social enterprise!
Popped in for take away coffee and tried their zuchinni and banana loaf.... So nice! Lovely staff and cafe is really cute. They don't do fresh juices but they have a "smoothie of the day" which was really nice. Defiantly a cafe I would go to again.
Miss Margaret is a truly great addition to the evolving Gilbert Rd scene. Their food, service, coffee and social conscience tick all the boxes. Great balance of healthy and treat options available and a nice, cosy atmosphere. I really like that they serve creative and substantial salads, and the almond milk they use is really good too. The hot choc (or 'ho-cho' as my husband is keen to get into circulation) is delicious - really well balanced and not too sweet or grainy at all) and you can order it at 50% or 70% coco. Go for the 70%! Get involved Preston people!

Great new local cafe. It is the perfect location for my morning coffee and I love the breakfast options.
Chia Pudding is a new local favourite.
Great coffee, great service and altruistic ethos. Absolutely cute cafe in Thornbury/Preston. We work in the area and are so pleased to have a new fantastic local cafe. Thank you!
I came here first for a quick coffee and was captured by the politeness and great customer service! My second visit I took my best friend who like me is a big coffee and food lover, and we fell in love with the chia pudding and rhubarb and of course coffee!! This is now our thing! Definitely worth a try!!!
Such a cute little place. Came here and tried the chai pudding and it was so tasty, probably one of the best I've had! Very nice coffee too. Pretty easy to get to via public transport with the tram right out the door. Good cafe to add to the collect around that little area.
