Surprisingly decent for a food court.
Always love myself a good Bento Box from Rice Workshops! Good quality, tender meet and really tasty! Can never go wrong with them! rice Bowls and Matcha Soft Serve are yum too! Nothing to complain about really. Service is always quick and friendly!

You cannot go wrong with Rice workshop and I’m so pleased there are more of these popping up in shopping centers. I always opt for the Spicy chicken Karaage rice bowl. Maybe one day I’ll try the delish looking curry or udon, but for now this guys has never let me down.
Service is always super fast compared some other stores in this food court and they are extra generous with the spicy mayo which I love.
Only complain is chicken pieces are slightly larger then other stores I have visited, which means less crusty coating!
Really wanted to try this place out and it did not disappoint! Especially considering it’s just in the food court area. Friday night I got the chicken katsu with rice & some spring rolls. The spring rolls were pretty ordinary but the Chicken katsu was amazing. For $9.90 for a regular size it definitely fills you up. They had put on a lot of toppings, the chicken was delicious & the sauce was heavenly. Definitely want to try some other things they have to offer.
Nothing bad to say about this place. Fair pricing and good food. The portions are well balanced as well. A definite spot for my quick afternoon lunch break.
I love Rice Workshop the food is always served quickly and there’s a variety of dishes available including vegetarian options. I ordered the Spicy miso garlic chicken Karaage bowl today. The chicken was very well seasoned and it went well with the veggies and rice. Loved how the batter remained crunchy and kept the flavour of the sauce until the last bite. The sau wasn’t too spicy.

Had the Chicken Katsu Curry Udon. Chicken was cooked well and was nice and crispy and the curry had lots of flavour. Would happily eat here again

Cheerful rice bowl. Tried the spicy miso fried chicken rice bowl, quick to serve, fair size. Chicken was flavoursome, cooked a bit over but tasty. Served with rice and generic salad leaves. Good feed, nothing special.
Delicious meal, quick and friendly customer service would recommend. Would come again for a warm and delicious bowl of ramen in a cold weather.

I was shopping here in Northland shopping centre, I decided to get food from Rice work shop. I ordered the chicken karaage with spicy sauce. It was really nice and the chicken karaage was fried on the spot. There are some salad and corn on the rice so the meal is pretty balance.
Ramen tastes quite good and fairly cheap as well. Only 10.5. Fried chicken needs some improvement. Lacks of favour. The good thing is that it's not dry.
I was recently shopping at northland with my girlfriend and we thought we would try ricework shop. We had the spicy miso and garlic chicken karaage. Very cheap and very delicious!
Udon noodles were chewy. Comforting especially when weather is cold. Not bad for food court standard. Price was affordable too. Do try it. Come!!!!

I come here all the time. The pork katsu curry and tempura udon are really good. Ice creams and side dishes are also really delicious, especially the chicken karaage with a bit of chilli mayo.
Spice salmon karaage is great, my kids love it . Every time come to northland, we always order this. Everyone should be try. You never regret.

I have ordered spicy pork belly , it's pretty good. It's a time limited offer. I order it with udon instead of rice. They have a variety of choices . It's a good deal if you would like to have some simple japanses food. They offer free soft serve too! Nice ideal

First time eating at the Rice Workshop at Northland Shopping Centre Foodcourt. I ordered the Spicy Miso Garlic Chicken Karaage & the chicken is very tender & crispy. The sauce can be more spicy. The salad & the rice was great. Good portion size.
Their new Spicy Miso Garlic Karaage is quite delicious. They give ample salad which I usually find in other places lacking and ginger and corn. The fried spicy miso chicken pieces were fresh and tender which I prefer and not dried out. Great job! Took only 5-8mins to be served (this is around 3:30pm). Would give a 5 rating if love this meal came with a miso soup!
Food is good. I ordered chicken katsu curry with rice and 4 pieces of fried chicken with spicy miso sauce. I would suggest to add more curry sauce in the curry rice dishes.
Ordered vegetable pancake udon which is delicious. The service is good because the pancake is separated upon request. Fast delivery. Definitely coming back again!
We always order katsu chicken curry.... and that's the best in town! I like their other bowls too! Recently tried their matcha ice cream and it was worth the money !
I really love the new dish here, it is a teriyaki chicken with spicy garlic sauce. I cant remember what it's called but it's marvellous tasty.
After a hectic day of furniture shopping across the road we drove into Northland shopping centre to have a quick bite. I am not a big fan of eating in food courts but it was late arvo and we(me & wifey)were really tired & hungry.
I ordered for a regular serve of the spicy chicken teriyaki with rice. The service was super quick. The portion was just perfect and it was mildly spiced. You can help yourself with a sprinkle of chilly power at the counter if need be.
Overall pretty good & don't mind eating here again if I happen to be at the centre.
I ordered the chicken teriyaki with rice. Everything was cooked great and was very enjoyable. A decent portion for the large and didn't compensate with heaps of vegetables.
The salmon kaarage don has always been my favorite. Quick, fresh, and delicious, we also can add chilli powder by ourselves right on the counter. There was one time i bought two of it to eat for lunch and dinner.
It's Northland so you can't expect fine dining in that food court, the food on the other hand was delicious, great value for money and super ample in size. As a vegan I can't comment on the full menu but the sushi slab with rice had me wanting more.

A very good franchise of rice workshop. We had the large chicken katsu and the chicken karaage. The chicken was fried to perfection. Loved the chicken karaage. It had hints of spice and chilly without being too spicy.
The kimchi extra that we got was nice and crunchy at the same time had beautiful sweet , sour and spicy flavours.
We tired it with our kids, the food was yummy and we all love it!! We especially love the ice cream and teriyaki beef rice!! Would recommend to out friends in the furture and try it again!!
Got the salmon bowl with the spicy sauce. They are somewhat generous with the salmon, and the accompanying salad is quite tasty. Would recommend.
Just try the food last weekend. It's so fantastic especially salmon karake with spicy mayo, it's so yummy! Don't forget to order greentea icecream too, it's super testy. Definitely visit again soon.
We had our lunch here 2wks ago and liked the rice dishes. We love the green tea soft serve!! The best green tea soft serve we ever had! Must try!
We went to Northlands shopping centre last week. At lunchtime we just wanted something easy and fast so we went straight to the centre 's food court and we decided to have some noodles because our kids love all kinds of noodles so we're ended up at Rice Workshop. Wow!!! All the meals were so yummy. We ordered Chashu pork ramen, tempura prawns udon and chicken katsu curry and we finished them all. Nothing leftover!!!
If you're looking for a fast and tasty meals at Northland shopping centre we would recommend Rice Workshop and you will not be disappointed for sure😊
I always go for my favorite chicken karakae on rice. My kids love teriyaki chicken noodle. This branch has full of ingredients and service was quick too.
Visited a few times. Not bad at all. Food is fresh, healthy and delicious. Very affordable , cheap & QUICK !! For the Soft Serve , probably It is the best green tea Soft Serve I have tasted!! A MUST TRY!!
If you want something serve really quick please try this place. I have tried Chasu Ramen and Chicken Don, Spicy mayonise Salmongood food good price, can't wait to try the soft serve
This is not your average shopping mall food court food. I was most pleased about the ability to customise the selection from several bases as well as being able to select a standard offer. The quality of the food and the service are both great. I am more than happy to recommend this and return.

Quick and easy. Best value. I tried pork kutsu curry, and green tea soft serve with the waffle cone. Their salmon spicy karage is also my favourite too, if i visit Northland centre :-)
We visit the shop today, I had chicken teriyaki udon and my husband had beef steak :) udon is good as usual and beef steak is even better than I expected! We also had green tea soft serve after which is my favourite. This shop is definitely my first choice in northland shopping centre:) quick and tasty!

Based on this time visit, i have to modify the rating from 4 to 3.5
The fried salmon with spicy mayo, a little out of standard today, i know it can be better than this as i had it for so many times before.
The original teriyaki beef with boiled egg, I'm not sure if this dish meant to have so much sauce or the staff accidentally put in too much, no joke the sauce is fully soaked up all rice, don't feel like they are using the usual Japanese white rice like they normally do.
Noticed they have the new dish fried chicken tenderloin, thought give it a go, but wasn't turn out as tenderloin, in fact was winglet and drumstick, the skin seems like re-fried, very different from the picture as showed on their menu.
Isn't very satisfactory on this visit, hopefully they will keep it up and be consistent.

Quick lunch option, like the fried salmon don, easy to eat when you're in hurry. Pay $3.50 extra for the drink and salad as side if you wish to, they will never ask you for that option, if you order drink and salad separately will close you $2.80.
Also have a branch in city Emporium, top floor at food court, normally have green tea come ice cream there, the black sesame ice cream is my favourite
Never seen this place before today but as far as food court fare goes, I thought it was tasty and good value. Didn't even know about the soft serve! Now I can't wait to go back 🍚🍲🍜🍦
Ordered the rice katsu bowl after it was recommend to me. Price was great for the size, it was tasty and had the perfect amount of everything! I’d come back
ordered spicy pork belly and chicken katsu curry with rice and raw veggie combo. very tasty and good value.also, if you leave feedback on zumato or google map and show them, you'll get a soft serve ice cream. highly recommend!
Not the best quality food but good enough to fill a hungry tummy. Their green tea ice cream is pretty good though.
