Had this for the first time via Uber Eats. Food was well packaged for takeaway and hot when it arrived. Boneless chicken were delicious and crispy. Definitely get the spicy ones. Loved the kimchi fries and the kimchi pancake. So glad it’s local, definitely satisfies the Korean food cravings. Will be back to try more
Love the food here. Service was quick. Food was ample and delicious. Will come bck
Shout out to the kimchi fries. They are so delicious!! Chicken was also really really good. Happy as with my order once again. Cheers
BEST KOREAN RESTAURANT.
I've been searching for a hearty korean restaurant to eat in the Northern Suburbs for the longest time. AND I FOUND IT. A cosy restaurant with fantastic and friendly staff. The food was delicious. The fried chicken was crunchy and still moist on the inside. The kimchi stew was the perfect amount of spicy and great for a cold winter day. And the bibimbap was fresh and tasteful. What more is there to say about this lively and fun restaurant.
The setting is perfect for dinner with friends, dates or lunch breaks. Located in the famous Preston Market, there is plenty of parking.
Best Korean fried chicken in the town.
Very crispy, but also tender inside.
Generous portion, and great service.
Keep up the good work :)
Pretty nice Korean food. My friend struggled with the amount of heat in her dish but everything was otherwise good. Shame they don’t have toilet inside their restaurant. Would love to come back to try the KFC!
First time eating at this place with my girlfriends. Thought we had ordered too much, but food was so delicious, we surprisingly finished it all. Will try to come back to try out their bibimbaps, and another order of the addictive kim chi fries.
Came on a quiet friday evening - nice, casual shop within preston market. Staff friendly and service is quick. Enjoyed the original flavoured wings and drums kfc, beef bulgogi and jap che. Good portions. Not a fan of the mandoo though. Overall decent local korean food. Would recommend.
Dropped in for a quick eat with one of the teen offspring as many of the other establishments nearby were full (fathers day😕). In a word Yummo!😋. Did not disappoint. The chicken wings were battered and fried to perfection; the sauce wss sweet spicy and the salad was fresh and refreshing....👍
I cannot fault this place! The kimchi fried rice here is my favourite out of all the Korean restaurants I've been to. Not oily yet packed full of flavours! The chicken is absolutely delicious especially given an addition with the rice cakes!!
Great place with excellent Fried Chicken. There's a lot of competition in KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) in Melbourne these days and Lui Boss is a serious contender for the top 3 tastiest in town! We order a lot of Deliveroo from these guys and lost one star from me due to the inconsistencies with the side dishes in terms of flavour with the Corn Cheese and Kimchi pancakes. Other than that, I am a regular customer.
Eat. Sleep. Create. Repeat.

Heard that their signature dish is fried chicken - ordered the wings & Drumstick, tasty, none of them were overcooked.
Highlight - Vegan fried chicken, friendly for vegetarians who are craving for Korean food. The best dish of the meal.
The healthiest Seafood pancake I’ve ever had, expecting more flavour in it but no one is gonna complain a healthy dish...
corn cheese was a good starting of the meal.
The Staff was attentive. Clean and comfy place. Great value for the price.
Strongly Recommend if you’re a fan of Korean food while around Preston.
I love this place, I come here at least once a week for a lunch set special. Great food, friendly service, excellent value for money. Highly recommend.
Headed down for dinner last and and was pleasantly surprised. Fast friendly service, with the food hitting the table in no time at all.
Tried the original boneless fried chicken, which was crispy on the outside without being dry inside. The mushroom Jap Che was peppery and delicious and the bulgogi was flavoursome also. Will be back to try other dishes
I had the beef bulgogi and boneless chicken. The beef bulgogi is not too bad! The boneless chicken is not bad either but limited choices of flavours available there. I still prefer Gami chicken or nene chicken personally for fried chicken.
AMAZING!!
Get the chicken (KFC) and iced tea of the day. KFC was so hot and fresh and unbelievably delicious.
Also be prepared... the wasabi topper blows your head off. Ask for it on the side if you are not a big fan, it certainly adds to it and packs a punch!
I have been wanting to eat tteokbokki for so long now and have finally found it close to home, delicious! The fried chicken was also amazing and crunchy and the soju cocktail refreshing. The only downfall for me was that the sauces used could have been spicer with less sweetness.
We ordered the boneless fried chicken, Jap Che (Fried sweet potato noodles) and the seafood pancake. Good size with crispy edges, came hot. Chicken was crispy with sauce that had good flavour. Jap Che was done well with decent flavour. Overall a rather enjoyable meal. Casual and somewhat cosy environment.
Pros: the fried chicken was delectable! Seasoned well even without sauces needed and generous servings (boneless chicken specifically). The soy garlic sauce was flavoured well, not overpowering with garlic which is preferred. Seafood pancake was amazing! It had the right amount of crispiness as well as being soft, topped with the fresh seafood.
Cons: a bit shattered there wasn't any honey mustard sauce for my chicken. The soy garlic sauce was a bit on the runny side and not as thick.
Wonderful food and service! Great ambience too’ all the food had the right flavours. The pancake was my fav! It was crispy and puffy.. not like any other pancakes I had before. Chicken could have been in a bigger portion tbh. The noodles was sweet and meat was well marinated!
First time here today with a friend. Food was on point! Glad to know there’s a Korean gem in this area. Staff were very polite and welcoming.
Great authentic tasting Korean food! Went to Korea last year and fell in love with bibimbap, thought I'd try this new place that has opened at the Preston market and it was delicious, exactly like I remembered! If you're a fan of Korean food definitely stop by! Their fried chicken is amazing
Have eaten from this place twice both times using Uber Eats. The food arrived in good time and was still steaming hot (it also helps that we live very close by). I ordered the soy and garlic wing and drum fried chicken and Jap Chae noodles. The chicken is by far the best thing on the menu I have tried so far, It’s very flavoursome and has good crunch only thing is it could do with more sauce. I also received a spring onion pancake with my order that I didn’t actually pay for so not sure if it was complimentary or a mistake. If you try anything from here please try the soy garlic fried chicken! Your taste buds will go crazy and you can thank me later 😉
Checked the reviews before we went there. Didn’t know there is a Korean restaurant in Preston. I’ll give it 4.5 stars.
We had kimchi soup, soy garlic chicken, and sizzling beef with rice.
The friend chicken is amazing! Me and my partner loved it so much !!!! Kimchi soup is a bit too spicy for me but still really nice. My partner enjoyed the sizzling beef as well Except that he prefer to have more sauce with the dish. We definitely will come back for sure. A bit inconvenient that the toilet is not in the restaurant, but the service and food are totally worth to travel 👍🏻👍🏻
Decided to try this place as we had been meaning to try this place for a while. I enjoyed their house made lemon lime soda, the mint adding a nice flavor. The Jap Che was new to me and I found it to be delicious. The main event though was the chicken we ordered 20 wings in the soy garlic flavor and spicy flavor. Although the spicy wings lacked heat overall the wings were quite tasty.
Hands down the best Korean fried chicken I have had to date. I do recommend dinning in as I feel the chicken isn’t as crispy when taking home.
Had the beef beef bulgogi lunch box with onion along with the seafood reman. The lunch was reasonably priced and beef well seasoned. The Raman though was from a standard packaged instant noodle but I guess that’s how Korean eat their Raman. I have tried the fried chicken for dinner and this was delicious, up there with Gami chicken. The Korean owner operates another cafe in Brunswick and is very serious about his food. I will keep supporting this Resturant
Yum yum yum
Found this gem in the Preston Markets, loved the decor & feel of the place.
Staff were super friendly, gave me water while i waited for my takeaway.
I got the spicy pork it was delicious. Saw the fried chicken & got menu envy it looked so good which will mean a trip back.
Ordered the fried chicken and tteok boki via Uber Eats last night. The chicken was great, with decent pieces and good flavour, however could’ve had a little more sauce. The tteok boki was flavourful and a had a level of spice to my liking. Will be ordering again in the future for a local meal on a quiet night in.
Came here on a cold rainy night and decided that the Korean army stew would warm us up... best decision of the night! The perfect winter comfort food (as was the tteok boki). Staff were very attentive and kind. Would definitely come back.
Tried this place out last night and was really impressed!
Opted for the bone-in chicken in original and spicy. Chicken was crispy, hot and juicy, although it must have been a little chicken because pieces were a little smaller then expected. Paired with some chips (which were also great) and soju mojito which was out of this world! Left feeling very satisfied on a cold night.
Service was fast and friendly. They have just revised the menu for winter which included some delicious sounding stews and soups. I can’t wait to try out more from this local gem!
(Chicken so good I didn’t get a photo 🤦🏻♀️)
Edit April 2019: since my first visit above Lui boss has become a family favorite. We visit regularly, get delivery on those hung over days and always bring visiting friends and families for a meal here. Spicy and soy garlic are favorite chicken flavors. Kimchi pancake is way better then I can make at home. Attached is photo of the loaded beef friends which are now fighting for top spot for us!
Awesome little Korean place nestled in next to Preston market.
Service was lovely and the food was super tasty! Can’t wait to try the fried chicken next time.
I eat here regularly, the food is always tasty, the service is always friendly, I hope this place stays in Preston for a long time. Competitive prices
Went here to check it out with some mates and had the best dinner! Super cute lil place tucked away on the outer if Preston market. Friendly staff and super delicious fried chicken! We also had the beef bibimbap, prawn dumplings and the AMAZING spring onion pancake!! Was so good, the tables favourite. Awesome addition to Preston and will definitely be going back to try more. Keen to try out their lunch menu too.

Just so nice to have a korean place in Preston. But, selection of dishes is not very wide. Original korean fried chicken is just ordinary fried chicken in small serving. Bulgogi bap and beef bulgogi tastes good, but again, serving is a bit small.
Ordered it from uber eats, i got some bulgogi bap, i have to said it taste pretty good, the rice is just how i like it, and the meat is great. The price is also price friendly. I would definitely try other stuff on the menu next time..
Lovely new restaurant with amazing customer service and breathtaking foods full of flavours! Definitely come by! Thank you for your service :)
