Review Don Antonio - Preston

Don assume your app order will be ready. They did not start my order until I arrivaled for pick up. I would advise calling beforehand to make sure because I had to wait 30 minutes for 5 pizzas and a pasta, outside. Pizzas were super cheesy (not in a good way). Mushroom pizza was very basic, but the base was pretty good. Pasta was super creamy and oily. Got 25% off through the app though. It was cheap food for a large group of people in Preston. You get what you pay.

The pizza was loaded with meat..which definitely was the highlight, unlike most pizza shop these days. The dough seemed fresh and was perfect, it was a bit thick for my liking..felt more like focaccia bread..but definitely didn’t ruin taste or texture of the pizza.. As it was my first time ordering from here.. I definitely didn’t know what to expect. The tiramisu was unquestionably the star of the evening, it was just perfect..I will sure be ordering that more next time.

I literally order a meat lovers with 2 sauce through Uber eats, I got in contact with the driver and got confirmation there was no issues in his end. Then Tired to get in contact with the shop and they ignore me saying there’s was phone issues and couldn’t hear me. Honestly a really bad experience. Edit: They never got in contact with me instead they block my number and ignored me, if it wasn’t a late night around 1am I would have drove up there. Honestly disgusting behaviour from them. Don’t ever order here! My brother told me this happen to him too, hopefully Uber eats gives me a refund.

Always ordered the same thing which is family size seafood pizza and it’s always consistent and delicious. Ordered again this evening, it was ready right on time and delicious and consistent as usual. Compliments to the pizza chefs.

I love the food here but get very frustrated with orders being constantly cancelled after an hour of waiting. It has happened over 5 times now. Ubereats takes payment and charges cancellation fees to customers for orders up to 2am, but the store stops filling orders way earlier. Just leaves customers waiting over an hour for their food, which eventually cancels.

My boyfriend literally orders the beer battered chips to put him to sleep. We love Dominos so much and no where can whip up a pepperoni pizza like this place! Thanks for the endless Friday night feasts. Yum yum in my tum tum

Pasta was made from white sauce (flour, milk, butter) to substitute the cream! It was really thick and cream doesn’t get that thick and sticky! My partners dish, chicken breast was really tough and very dry! Pizza was really oily.. it dripped down my hand :( I went to pay and they overcharged me..

Pizza was not bad... Customer service not good!!! My pizza was $16.40 & l gave him $20 note, his response was sorry l don't have change!!! He gave me $4 change!!! Seriously mate this is your business, if you can't give $3.60 change then don't expect Customers just to say don't worry about it!!

3.5. <br/>Ordered the capricciosa and country style pizzas for takeaway and they were good, although wouldn’t have minded more sauce on both pizzas. The chips were excellent. <br/><br/>May 2020: Came back again to try the calzone (huge with lots of filling) and Mexican pizza (crispy crust, good flavours). Really enjoyed the choices this time. Again, chips are so tasty! Friendly service. <br/><br/>Sep 2020: Ordered the meatballs pizza which had lots of tasty, juicy fillings and is my fav pizza to date. Calzone was also very tasty, cut up into four slices which made it easier to eat.

Very ordinary. On par with pepperonis in the city so not completely inedible but below dominos so under average. Twice we’ve ordered now and twice we have been disappointed. All cheese, barely any meat and no sauce.....strangely, all their pizzas taste the same, all on an undercooked drought base.

The calamari salad is ridiculously good, tender and cooked dente it's a meal for two and that we'll presented that if you slipped it carefully on a platter it's a date night smashed

This pizza shop used to be my local and I would go there fortnightly. On Wed 24th Jan I called four times to order a pizza (around 7.15pm). Each time the phone rang out. I wanted to order and pick up my way home so I called ahead. On the fifth time I called, a woman (I think) answered. She told me that I could not order a pizza right now as they were too busy and asked me to call back in ten minutes. I was confused, repeated what she said to confirm I had heard her correctly and said, "I come here all the time though, you can't take an order of one pizza?" She re-confirmed that she couldn't take the order. I've never been told this in my life and found it quite rude. How hard is it to take an order and apologise that there will be a short wait like all other restaurants do? I was very disappointed by how I was spoken to and unfortunately I won't be back. Every time I've gone there to pick up pizza the dining room has been totally empty (not a single person there) - but if this is how customers are treated at times, it is no wonder. Sorry Don, you've lost me. Very unhappy customer. :(

Ordered online pizza delivery. Simple to use online system and normal wait time. Pizza arrived hot. Great base and good topping. Will order again.

This place is seriously good. The gnocchi is beautiful and soft, in fact both the pasta dishes we had were delicious. The waitress was friendly and attentive (a rarity around these parts at the moment), and the serving sizes were great. Really happy with the meal, will definitely be back.

Ordered marinara and added extra prawn. Not only was there no extra prawn, there were no prawns just very low quality calamari and an overload of shrimp. Did not match description at all.

Amazing night at don Antonio for my birthday!<br/>I am gluten, fructose and lactose intolerant so eating out can be quite difficult for me.<br/>Madison the manager took the time to listen to all the foods that I could and couldn't eat and organised pizza, pesto pasta and grilled calamari for me that was all gluten, fructose and lactose free.<br/>Everyone else really enjoyed their food and although I didn't get to eat the normal pizza and pasta it looked and smelled amazing and everyone said it was delicious!<br/>We will be back for sure!

Amazing little secret restaurant in Preston. Very tasty and well priced. Caters for all diets including fructose and gluten free diets. Very friendly staff

Ordered delivery. It arrived very quickly and it was very good! <br/>Problem- on Eat Now, when you order a Greek salad, the app forces you to choose a meat to go with it. You can't progress past it without choosing one. We chose one and then rang to tell them we didn't want any meat with the Greek salad. Hope this will be fixed. <br/>Greek salad was generous size, fresh and delicious!<br/>We added pineapple to the vego pizza. It was a really yummy home style pizza. Chunky, nice flavour and base. Will be back. Thanks.

Excellent place, fantastic food, great service. Food is ample size and dessert was inline with human portion. Madison was super helpful and was quick to provide suggestions. I would highly recommend this establishment to friends and family. <br/><br/>Don's Margarita is world class. A must try.

I'm really torn about this place. Ordered delivery tonight and it arrived in a timely fashion. We ordered a cinque formaggi, a meat lovers pizza, a penne rustico and a cheesecake to share. If I was rating this place on the taste of food alone it would be a 5 out of 5. The pizzas had a nice thin crust and minimal but quality toppings. The blue cheese on the cinque formaggi was tangy and lifted the taste of this pizza. The sausage on the meat lovers was garlicky and delicious. The penne had succulent chicken, crispy prosciutto and juicy semi sun dried tomatoes, it was excellent in taste but a disappointingly small serve for a main pasta costing $17.90. My main issue with the food from this place is that it was all on the small side, you can only get small or large pizza (6 small slices). But what induced my rage, and dropped their score so much was the cheesecake. A tiny joke of a slither for $9.50, I felt like this was taking the piss. Would I order delivery from here again, no. But I would consider eating in, as the food was better than good and I feel they wouldn't serve such tiny portions in a restaurant.
