Amazing love this place! Best steamed dim dims and duck
food always take little bit of time but they are cooking fresh,, none of this precooked stuff from them,, and it is worth the slight delay as the food is very good,, staff are friendly
Been here many times and the food has always been amazing and the staff are always fantastic. Good prices for high quality food. the decor and the building are quite old (look about 20 years old) and the restaurant looks shabby from the outside but the food and staff make the experience a fantastic one. Will always return here when myself or family feel like asian food.
Amazing! Seriously best Chinese in Adelaide!
Love it !. Have been eating at the shanghai palace for many years. restaurant is very dated and simple but the food is always spot on.. take away heaven.

Family Fave. We have been visitng Shanghai for many years, both as a takeaway restaurant and also dine in. Everything we have ever ordered has been spot on, the honey chicken has a delicious almost nutty flavour to it, the sizzling mongolian fillet steak is always cooked tenderly and the honey pranws are quite a generous serving. It never appears to be too busy inside, however the takeaway orders outweigh anything. The service is excellent, and the lemon scented towelletes at the end, are very refreshing! Only downfall, is the parking situation, the carpark is not too good at the back, and lack of lighting dont make it too safe to go to your car. But go with a group and its great.
Had better! But the food is absolutely fine.. i loved the service and the towelette at the end.
This resturant has been a favorite of my in laws for many many years now, and my wife loves the sizzling Mongolian fillet steak. Personally I like more traditional Asian food, but that being said, for a westernized Chinese resturant, this is one of my favorites. Very generous meal sizes and well priced, it's highly reccomended.
We went to this restaurant on a Sunday night. Only a few tables of diners were dining in this night, but we couldn't help but notice the phone ringing constantly for take-away orders.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The entree arrived quickly......satay sticks, steamed dim sims and spring rolls. All hot, good size and delicious.
For mains, we had ordered the classics..... sizzling garlic prawns, lemon chicken and beef with cashew nuts and fried rice.
The garlic prawns entered sizzling hot with their unmistakable garlic aroma. There was a generous proportional of prawns is this dish.
The lemon chicken was crisp and tender within. The lemon sauce had a mild tang and had you going back for more.
The beef included plenty of crunchy cashews and the vegetables in this dish were cooked beautifully.
The fried rice was as good as I have had anywhere....none of the greasiness you can sometimes get.
The main comments I would make that the cooking at this restaurant is top notch. We have all experienced chinese cooking where there is minimal meat and an overload of vegies and sauces to minimise costs. Not here...all top quality ingredients, great portion sizes and delicious food.
Worth a go.... Read reviews about Shanghai Palace and was not disappointed. We decided to get takeaway , and I had the seafood combination which was cooked perfectly and my partner had szechuan beef which was packed full meat and just the right about of spice. Will definitely go back..
Great Food, the ambiance is nice. The staff is friendly. Try the Sizzling Mongolian beef.
Delicious food and lovely service. Definitely coming back. ππ
I think this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in SA. Nothing is too much trouble. Parking nearby or across the road.
