Review Black Rock On The Terrace - Punchbowl

I was in the place just reading the review's it almost put me off, but what I experienced was completely different to what it was said? I personally think to judge something it should be the individual. I walk in with my family and was nervous but I got something else completely different they gave us a complementary chips. My wife ordered rum steak she loved it very much I ordered checking spicy and it was sensational outstanding good job and there are very very friendly and very concerned about our enjoyment. Wonderful i will definitely come again and I encourage everyone to try them for themselves and then give a review. Great job and thank you so much for our meals

The reviews here are a little exaggerated. I visited this place a while back and the staff were so friendly and the servings were huge. It's a little pricier because let's be honest the decor is pretty good and one plate could feed a whole family. I'm going to have my daughters birthday here and I'm sure it will be great. It's a great in between restraunt, not tacky and definitely affordable with a little bit of class.

Very bad from the time we entered we were greeted with are you here for lunch when it was 6.30pm, wanted to order the ribs, but there were only beef ribs that were already cooked and well done ready to eat really? Ordered chicken with Diane sauce that was so runny and cold, ordered cocktail that never arrived. My partner ordered rump steak that in fact wasn't rump came out cold, asked the waiter to take it back and cook a new one the steak came out only to realise it was the same steak and reheated. Highly not recommend

I can't believe they are still allowed to be open!! They are the worst of the worst. I took my family for lunch one afternoon as we had never been before. We immediately noticed flies around our table and in the kitchen. The waitress brought our food which definetely wasn't fit for human consumption, the meat was off, the presentation of the plate was tardy and the tabbouli tasted as if it were 3 days old or more. There was a general lack of hygiene to this place. I have sworn never to return and this place still remains one of the worst food experiences ever.

This restaurant deserves no stars. The food was disgusting. The waiters and even the chef didn't know how the dishes were meant to be served and with what accompaniments despite being written in the menu. Food portion was ridiculous and taste was horrible. Waiters and the chef all were just walking around eating potato chips and being loud with other than us and one more table in the restaurant. Price was exorbent in reference to the food we were served. I will seriously recommend NOT to go here as even McDonald's is a better option than this. Oh one more thing giving 5 nite size dry rubbery grilled chicken on top of plain basmati rice is isn't chicken mansef you morons....

I am completely disgusted, the waiters were rude,slow and swearing around little children I know for a fact I will never be returning to this restaurant again The waiters were so unprofessional, I had to wait 10 minutes for a menu My drink came at the end of my meal They were not paying attention to any customers I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone Unless you like raw meat and small portions The waiters were bloody wearing sunglasses in the shop for Christ sake -00.5 stars 2.6 stars? Absolutly pathetic ... ordered a t-bone then oops theres none .. went for a rump well done it came out raw and had a funny taste to it then bit into the corn corb to my suprise it was cold and still frozen and had flies round and in my plate.. Sent the plate back to have the rump cooked came back raw my own rump wouldve of been better. Went to the ladies room and a cockaroach popped up.oh and one more thing chef wasnt happy

Nice casual setup for family and friends. Food is good and fresh. Pizzas are good so was the chicken burger. Definitely recommend a visit or two. Overall good experience.

If there is less than 1 i swear i would give them that without hesitation. I used to love this place and there steaks were just amazing but from the last year something has happened to these people Its just awful None of the old staff are there, and I doubt even if the same chef is there too. Because i had couple of bad experiences with these people due to poor customer service I didn't go for a while but i missed their rump steak so bad that I decided to go yesterday. WORSE DECISION EVER!!!!! Order was first mistakenly taken We ordered rump steak but they sent out ribs and steak and they insisted we ordered it!!!! Then we opened the menu and showed them that there isn't even an option named steak and ribs!!!!!! So they gave us the ribs complimentary but after taking our food for a while to try to figure out what to do We already were waiting more than 45 minutes for our food and we were starving. Food is dead cold, steak is Absolutely disgusting No salt no pepper no taste It looked exactly like a hamburger not a steak and cooked as if it was steamed or boiled not grilled!!!! Drinks didn't even come until we had to remind them which came at the end of the meal. And after all that when we were going to pay they were going to charge us for ribs and steak though they said it wAs complimentary And when I told the waiter that the food was disgusting, he just kept staring and didn't say a word!! Bottom line: Overpriced Disgusting food Terrible customer service JUST DON'T GO!!!

I first time ordered our dinner from Black rock....i was surprised .....because the food was great....and very tasty....My friends liked the Rump steak...it was very fresh and hot....Your mushroom ..and lemon sauces are soooo yummy....i still feeling the taste of Mushroom sauce...And thanks very much for the complementary Drinks.....we will definitely visit your restaurant very soon...Thank You...Black Rock.......

Thanks for a lovely iftar dinner. The food was plentiful and delicious! The baba ghanouj was a hit as were all the meat dishes. Happy faces and full bellies all around � Will be back inshallah

The food taste awesome doesn’t matter what you order the price is unbelievably cheap for the great quality of Lebanese food.

Shisha and drinks are always good, wait staff are polite and always on hand. Would recommend.

Very nice service , food and management ... Love the sitting area combination between outdoor terrace and internal seating for family ... To be a smoker or non smoker there is a place for both. All the best guys and more success will be heading towards you .. Keep it up and definitely will be back and recommend it to all family friends and others...

Offering the typical Pizza, Pasta, Seafood and Grill menu, this place offers a diverse selection of foods with a hint of middle-eastern influence.<br/>I've been here twice, the first time I went for the Angus Steak (no longer sold?) and Mash & Veggies whilst the most recent time I had the Eye Fillet with the same sides.<br/>It would be incredibly helpful if they actually offered the Steak size on the menu (250g, 350g, etc).<br/>Back to the order, the steaks were great, but not enough to knock me off my chair. The sides were bland, the mash was dry and the veggies tasted like the Frozen ones you buy from the Supermarket and whack into the microwave.<br/><br/>Seating arrangement is ample and the interior is nicely done which can suit a romantic dine out. <br/><br/>Negatives:<br/> - Can be rather pricey for what you get in terms of location and seating (views)<br/> - Parking is a nightmare. You have to park on the side of South Terrace which is incredibly busy or find some backstreet nearby.

-Bad service, bitchy waitress.<br/>-Ordered chicken Caesar salad. Got a lettuce bowl, with massive chunks of poorly cut and assembled bread and chicken and a really stindgy squirt of dressing, it also didn't have Parmesan cheese. I paid $18 for lettuce.<br/>- Never again!

Catch a train between Punchbowl and Bankstown and check out the "rubbish dump" at the rear of this place before you dine there. <br/><br/>It's why I never will.

Father day dinner at Blackrock. Great restaurant with very good food and service can't wait to go back.

Family and I had a great time.. Came here for a family dinner (10 people) to celebrate my cousin's birthday and the food was exceptional. Customer service was a stand-out, and even though my dish was forgotten (there were two of the same dish), it was promptly made and we were all happy and content. I even got a mocha on the house from the manager. Everyone and everything was fabulous. Definitely will come back.

Terrible. I am not one to go around naming and shaming but after what I experienced a few days ago I think it's definitely worth while, especially after reading some of these reviews. We had the "all you can eat" banquet there were 8 of us and enough food to feed a couple of kittens, food was cold, not everything on our set menus were served, they either "ran out" and missed out "you should've come earlier". after approaching the owner he said that we got there too late for the right amount of food to be served, he was extremely rude and not apologetic at all.<br/><br/>Do not recommend this to anyone unless you want to go home spewing your guts out :)

DON'T GO. Extremely rude attitude. After sitting for 10 mins, we were forced to move from couch as it was booked!!! by somebody and they would smoke Sisha inside the restaurant!!!

Best food. Very angry people on here no idea why I've come to blackrock for birthdays romantic dinners always had the best time always bought new people who adore it as much as me and I'm from Penrith the manager always looks after us I always have the the blackrock meat platter and melon cruise plus rocher dome or fondue never have I once had a complaint food is fresh restaurant has amazing vibe classy looking and AFFORDABLE i love it so much it's worth the 40min drive for me and I will be staving myself all this Friday so I can go again and fit it all in people don't judge try yourself you will be amazed

Terrible!!!. I purchased a coupon $59 for a surf and turf platter to share for two and a mocktail each.( value $144 ha!! ). We waited a long time for the food to arrive, considering we were their only customers (saturday lunch). The meats where very dry, had trouble getting the meat off the sticks.The prawn cutlets and calamari were commercial, not fresh, very disappointed, mussels were tough and chewy. i would have to say the ONLY thing i enjoyed was the salmon. The floors hadn't been cleaned from their prior sittings, nor the glass walls within the bench area we sat at. We would recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food with very nice desert I will go every weekend to BlackRock it's nice family restaurant and the kids will enjoy the meal with a very good servers

WOW. Went out tonight to Black Rock this place just amazed us in every way, the food was just amazing, The service exceptional, The setting absolutely beautiful,The price was very reasonable. I think overall probably the best place to dine in Western Sydney Seriously give this place a try and go for the Ribs wow.

Worst place ever, stay away disgusting food and owner very rude .

Probably the worst restaurant/cafe I have ever been to. There was a bug in my friends food, and after being accused of putting it there, the manager refused to give her the meal free of charge until we argued with him for 10 minutes. Service is slow and they ultimately get your meals wrong. I've been there twice and on both occasions I've ordered, waited 30 minutes am then been told that they've run out of what I ordered and been asked to choose again, making me get my food way after everyone else. Never again.

The food is great, the service was really good, loved everything about the place, heaps of food yummi and fresh. Love it

Bad food. Bad service. Food was not fresh. The chefs are inexperienced. Had to wait 2 hrs before the food arrived. Save yourself a bad restaurant experience and eat elsewhere.

Portion is abit Tight. Food was Nice but i prefer la Pizza across the road at least you leave there feeling full and not hungry. we all ordered Steak rice and salad with mushroom sauce, the steak was nice but tiny was ridiculous and the rice i could count the amount of rice i had in my plate. I loved tho rice it was spicy not your ordinary kind of rice which was a shame really the amount of food they put on our plate wouldnt even feed my 5year old, the only portion they got right was the salad.

What a joke... Called for a booking at 5:30 they told me they had a function but come in and will find us a table ... Get there at 6pm and they tell us that they will give us a table but we need to leave by 7pm ...... they wanted to take our money and make us leave as quick as possible .... No thanks ...so we went somewhere else .... Next time just say your booked out and leave it at that

This place hasnt been open long, but i must say i am a regular and come here when ever i can with my fiance, and we both love it. Yummy food, and excellent service.

Food is ok, been twice and both times they over cooked my steak. Service is poor. One time they overcharged me by $15!
