Just in queenscliff for the day and stumbled across this great cafe! We both had the special salmon salad and great coffee, delicious cakes. Highly recommend. (Next to the Lolly shop also awesome)

lovely place. I will definitely be returning when i come to Queenscliff next time. The lady with the curly hair was so lovely and welcoming. Food was amazing. Best portugese tarts ever!!

You have to be little early to get all the items on the menu. We have missed both the Portuguese tart and the breakfast item with salmon. Delicious food and caring service. My 3 year old son was given a play tea set, which helped a lot to keep him busy as well as the pedestrians amazed! The tea is the star of the show, for me. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff but they were not wearing masks properly if at all, which didn't instil confidence when taking our orders and serving food (and standing very close). Food was ok but not super tasty or creative in any way. However, it was busy, so it's obviously popular with the locals.

Absolutely loved this place! The service was wonderful and the food was perfectly seasoned. We had the B&E Pita and the Cassoulet for breakfast. Would definitely recommend both! This place is an absolute gem!

Get em in and get em out - your just a number. Went there for a coffee and a bite and as I finished the last bite was asked if I wanted anything else. When I said no, they said we need the table - no time to relax and take a breath. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Yum. Had the homemade leak and potato soup. Really delicious. Cosy venue with wood fire burning in the background. Very friendly service. Soup special with nice toasted bread for $14.

Seconds from the main strip of Hess Street, Saltbush is a fabulous find - half provedore, half cafe with seating inside and out. It was a delight to sit under the outside awning with the sun finally shining in Victoria in one of the wettest Novembers.

Emphasis in the cafe is definitely on fresh produce and home made - specials scrawled on blackboards inside and out implying a daily change according to what's available. Lots of vegetarian options as well as pleasing meat eaters (although meat dishes tend to be 'discrete' - lamb borek, roast beef pitta etc). The smoked salmon and avocado on sourdough, lettuce and lemon aioli was a delight in its simplicity ($15).

Omg it's GF heaven!! Chocolate cake and sticky date pudding to die for! Very friendly staff, fire burning and exceptionally good coffee! Wow!! Loved it!

Tucked away just off the main strip, Saltbush has a little bit of everything. It is very much a local cafe / providore with all the rustic charm of such an establishment. Saltbush is half eatery, half grocer. The grocery side of the shop is stocked with fresh produce and fine foods. On the eat-in side, the food is comforting and the portions are quite generous.

Terrible customer service!
The staff were very rude, particularly a lady whom I assume was the owner.
We tried to order some takeaway food and the lady told us it would be an extra $2 per meal to toast them!
Food was ok, however definitely never going back.
Good customer service goes a long way!

After watching the girl in the kitchen, wiping her nose with the back of her hand and carrying on preparing food on top of the fridge. Which was never wiped down. I thought I'd leave before our order arrived.

Beautiful food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Delightful. And Queenscliff is a perfect foil to a good meal. Recommended if you’re in the area.
