Review The Coal House - Randwick

So impressed with this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. We had chicken croquettes to start, I had barramundi for my main, my partner had the rib eye and we had a side of fried potatoes and cherry tomatoes. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection and the charred flavour adds so much. The service was perfect and the prices are very, very reasonable.

Awesome new restaurant in Randwick! Food is divine. The lamb and ribs were cooked to perfection. The side of chili broccoli was spicy and delicious. The waitstaff were friendly, attentive and so very helpful with allergy requests. A solid five out of five!

We absolutely love Coal House. The food is always excellent- particularly the steak and barramundi and the staff is so incredibly sweet and attentive. Highly recommend it for a quiet date night or a dinner party.

My friend and I used a groupon so the food was discounted. Even then I think it wasn't worth it. I understand that because the meat is cooked over coals, it can be more smokey and have a char to it as well but the food my friend got was pretty burnt. I ordered the 300g ribeye medium-rare which came out as a well done 100g ribeye and a medium-welldone 200g ribeye. The service was pretty bad. Not sure why the waiter was trying to have a conversation with us. It was frankly weird. We didn't get a menu till about 15 mins into us being seated. When I asked for their house wine, the waiter asked me "white or red?" and I told him whatever he recommended. But he insisted I at least pick white or red. So I picked white and he brought me red...why bother asking?! Would not go back there. The restaurant broke my trust in groupon deals.

You have to try this place - unique offering in both entrees and mains - even the sides. Coal fired flavours with complimentary condiments - just work together superbly. We have come all the way from Parramatta and wondering how we can get here more quickly.

My husband and I had dinner here while on vacation. The food was phenomenal and the waitstaff helpful and attentive. We loved our night here!

The food and service was excellent. The ribs were the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be returning, can’t recommend it enough!

The food here is fantastic i cant give it any more than that if you get anything on the menu here you won't be disappointed and the wait staff here are exelent and the main chef here is fantastic and the food is amasing i cant recomend them enough
