Review Mand's - Randwick

Riya Parmar
Super average. The palak paneer was a little watery and tasteless. Butter chicken was good but it had way too much food coloring inside. The naan was too thick. My friend also got food poisoning the next day 😢

Nice food we had this platter for 2 and 4 mango lassies for $40. Lamb cutlets and tandoori chicken beautiful.

Had my wife's 60th party with small group of friends and had the set menu. The food was surprisingly good a real 5 star Indian dishes, were absolutely delighted to find a small local restaurant with such quality food as well as friendly service. Our first but not last visit.

Worst food ever tried. Too much food colour in butter chicken which left my fingers and lip red. Was that really biryani? too much turmeric, which was smelly and we couldn’t eat properly. Wastes of money.

This was my first time to order some food from Mands and I did that only after going through some good reviews. I ordered goat on bone curry couple of naans rice and Lassi. As soon as I had my first mouthful, I found the curry being absolutely tasteless, no flavour at all! The naans were too fatty with no flavour as well.. I was so disappointed that I immediately called the restaurant given number and spoke to a man who identified himself as a chef. I showed my displeasure by telling him how awful the dish was and asked him if he tasted it before sending. On this he said, All the best to you and hung up on me. What a reap off! $32 were blown away without any satisfaction. I threw the tasteless food in the bin.

The best Naan's I've had in Sydney. Just so delicious. The vege korma was also fantastic, packed with flavour. Unfortunately the Butter Chicken was a massive letdown, it was just incredibly flat. Well that's to my Australian palette. I think maybe there was no sugar in it to sweeten it up, so it was quite tomato heavy. Maybe more of a UK style. I'm sure there are people out there though who prefer it that way.

Mand's Indian Restaurant has great food. I have never been disappointed whenever l have dined there, and during the lockdown, the takeaway food is always delicious too. The servings are generous and tasty and the prices are very reasonable too 👍👍

I absolutely love this place. They always give you free pappadums as you sit down to eat, which I absolutely adore. The staff is nice and the manager's wife is so friendly when she is working (haven't seen her in a while though). Food is yummmmm.

I definitely recommend ordering the butter chicken here. I have been here once a week for almost 2 years now, I cannot push this place enough to my friends if you want Indian food. Staff is incredibly friendly and definitely has a family-run business type of vibe.

Went here on a date with my boyfriend a while ago. Plenty of choice on the menu, went with mango chicken, beef madras, garlic naan and a mango lassi, and excellent service.

Boyfriend found a tiny bit of metal in his naan and the restaurant comped our entire meal even though neither of us were particularly bothered by it.

Definitely hope to come back here again when I'm in the area.

A typical indian restaurant located on Avoca street in Randwick was quite plain inside with a few tables and a tv in the background playing Bollywood classics. The service was quite poor as they were not very attentive when trying to get their attention as they were either not in the front of the restaurant or facing their backs to the customers. However when we did get their attention they were quite nice.

We ordered the beef vindaloo, butter chicken and palok paneer. The beef vindaloo was delicious and spicy and the palok paneer was nice a refreshing almost tasting like pesto. The butter chicken was not very good, it lacked a lot of flavour which was quite disappointing for us. The meals otherwise were cheap and its not a bad place for a quick bite.

Had a wonderful dinner here on Saturday night. We had no booking but therr was seating for 2 of us. Ordered Butter Chicken and Goa Beef and my partner and I shared. The sauce in both dishes was beautiful. Really authentic, flavoursome and delicious. The meat in both dishes was nice and tender. The service was really good. I will definitely be returning. I've been dreaming about the butter chicken since😀

Good food, shit and rude service. Ordered 2 curries from here (one chicken and one lamb) last night - both were delicious except the rice was very average.

The delivery was terrible. In total our order came to $41.80 and I went to pay the delivery guy with a $50 (more than reasonable to pay for a $40+ meal with a $50 and expect no issues). He had no change to give me and tried to pass off just giving me $5 change while saying "sorry but your going to be $3 short cause I don't have coins to give you". I luckily had $0.80 in my pocket so passed him $50.80 and asked for a $10 note back so that there was only $1 difference only for him to try and guilt me about the fact I was 'taking from the driver' before being very rude about he's now $1 short (stupid when you think about how he's comfortable to screw over the customer but its not ok for him to end up short changed). He should get the flick, really tainted Mand's for me.

Some nice flavours, but the chicken was very fatty and chewy. Disappointed because other than that, it was pretty good!

Delicious Takeaway. My boyfriend and I were searching for a new indian takeaway for a quick easy dinner. We found Mand's through Urbanspoon. We were not disappointed.

We ordered Beef Vindaloo, Lamb Korma, Chicken Tikka Pieces and garlic naan.

delivery was about 40 mins, food was warm but delicious. Thick curry sauces and authentic spices. We will definitely give this place another try.
