Review Akarui Japanese Sushi Bar - Randwick

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. We were back in Sydney for four months and ate there multiple times a week (sometimes twice a day). There lunch specials and standard menu are tasty, healthy, freshly prepared, great value for money and always served with a kind smile from the lovely couple who own the restaurant. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and are sad to not have this as our local restaurant.

Best sushi I’ve tasted. The food is super fresh and the owners are so lovely. I visit this place at least one a week! You won’t regret coming here! Little gem in Randwick and plus the place is so cool.

This place is amazing! Very friendly and welcoming, and the fish is super fresh and tasty. Had sushi and sashimi takeaway but will definitely come back and sit in next time.

This is just the cutest place. Run by a Japanese couple who are so beautiful. The food is delicious, fresh and well priced. We go at least once a week just because they are so cute!

What a lovely place to grab dinner. Cozy little joint with two owners running the show. The food was outstanding and very well Priced. The sashimi & beef rib are a must. We will be back next time in Randwick

For us, the best restaurant in Australia. We have visited over 100 places, but we always return, even once a month, as we move from Randwick. Very good and fast attention, the owners, always friendly and attentive. The food, always excellent, quality, price, location. They do not seek to offer anything complicated, nothing fancy, but not for that, of low quality, on the contrary, always fresh and well-prepared products. I want to steal the recipe for the teriyaki salmon ... it's excellent.

Had lunch here on couple of occasions and everytime had good experiences. The owners are friendly and the lunch menu that they have is great on its own but made better by the price point!

If there were 6 star I would have given to this place. This is a hidden gem in Randwick and overall eastern suburbs. Run by Japanese couple. There food is as authentic as it gets. Takes you right back to the streets of Tokyo and Kyoto. Not the usual flashy over the top sushi shops which we find everywhere. A must try. Super value for money with generous portions.

Delicious food for both breakfast and lunch/dinner. Service is always great, the couple who run the restaurant are attentive and lovely.

Great food, lovely owners Jin and Amy who make really nice Kimchi which can be bought in takeaway tubs at very reasonable price.

Best restaurant in randwick

Discovered Akarui by accident when I was last in Sydney. Was so glad to find them again tonight. The chicken teriyaki set was delicious and the rice was especially good. Last time I ate rice this good, I was in Tokyo.
