Review Bombay Tandoori Indian Restaurant - Randwick

Ordered many items from Bombay Tandoori today for nearly $55.00. I think I made the wrong choice by selecting Bombay Tandoori. The mango lassi that I purchased had too much artificial color and so it looked tooo yellow. It was not fresh and tasted like it was prepared long back and was stored in the fridge for a very long time. That gave me stomach upset. The tandoori chicken did not have proper seasoning and my hands turned red cos of the strong color and the chemical taste. Very disappointing. Called them to inform that their food had affected my health, but they were not even bothered to speak with me and they disconnected the call while I was talking to them. Going to raise this issue with the NSW food authority!

The curries were great! Service was fast (granted, it was early in the evening and we were the only customers being served), the garlic naan was deliciously fragrant. The flavour of the cheese naan is sorta overwhelmed if you eat it with too much curry. Definitely recommend the palak paneer, it was my first time trying it and I loved it. The tomato really came through in the butter chicken, making it sweeter than most other butter chickens I've tried. Also noticeably less creamy, but it's a matter of preference. Would come again!

3.5 stars. Food was cheap-ish which is always appreciated! I had mango chicken, partner had lamb saag, both were nice, slightly above average but nothing wow. Cheese naan and peshwari rice were very nice. Poppadoms were average. Place itself isn't that nice. Decor is dated and lacking, it's not the best atmosphere for a sit in dinner. Overall it was nice enough for a cheap meal but I'd recommend just getting a takeaway rather than dining in.

Ordered to pick up, first timer here and wouldnt go back. The Butter Chicken which is normally a signature dish was a massive let down. Rice undercooked, the sauce was watery and taste-less. The spot is still missing good indian.

Very disappointed. We were headed for the Thai but decided on Indian curry at the Bombay. Big mistake. I had high hopes, no mild, medium, hot selection for the dishes on the menu , which is normally a good sign. First question on ordering, "Would you like that mild, medium or hot?" Should have left at that point. The Papadums and Nams were microwaved and the dishes bland with no fresh spices. Apparently Thai Riffic just up the street, is great.

Paid $18 for butter chicken(not including the rice) and it was all mainly liquid with about 9 pieces of chicken? The nann bread was well not cooked and not please at all. The food wasn’t that bad to eat but considering the price it’s absolutely ridiculous

Hi there, Food delivered through Eat Now arrived 1hr late and the restaurant no: (02) 9398 9883 was unreachable. In addition, the requests made on the food was ignored as it was soaked in oil.

Got food poisoning from this place and lost 2 days worth of work and pay. The food tasted like it was reheated which makes sense as to why I was food poisoned. Definitely getting the health inspectors on this place.
