Review Dr Krunch - Randwick

Quick convenient eatery with fried chicken. Various combos of burgers, donburis and meal sets. Limited seating so better to takeaway but eat it quick. The ultimate sandwich was my favourite, followed by the chicken karaage rice bowl. Service is friendly and efficient. Will be back for sure!

A small eatery in randwick selling fried chicken, burgers & fries. They have donburis and meal sets too at reasonable price and daily specials too. Fried food here was done well and everything here is tasty. A good place for quick fast food.

Dr Krunch is a casual eatery, located on Belmore Road in Randwick, selling fried chicken as their signature. Freshly made, allowing for the chicken to stay moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It doesn’t taste oily at all, just succulent and tender inside with a perfect crunch and great flavour. We got ours on a roll, ordering the “Dr Karaage bun” with kale slaw, spicy Mayo, crispy seaweed and sauce. The bun was nice and soft and the flavours worked well together. If you’re not up for a bun, you can also just get a tub of the fried stuff, or in a bowl. You also pick your sauce, whether it be original, mild, cheesy melt. They also have add ons and sides such as lotus chips, kale slaw, mushrooms, tater tots, and rice. Make it into a meal and it comes with seasoned shoestring fries and a drink. They also do delivery, takeaway and catering. The lady at the counter was lovely, offering suggestions of her favourite when asked and she was spot on. We also like that the company uses sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging.

Crunchy chicken are not hard to find. What is hard is to be the standard bearer of creative, competitive chicken meals. This place is it. We were greeted with a friendly manner behind the counter, and toured through the menu. The Ultimate Roll was amazing, the slaw was healthy and the value meals were well priced. Not to mention the placement of the shop being just outside a bus stop would no doubt draw a crowd. This place is so good I only wished it opened up later at night but I'd highly recommend Dr Krunch to all.

This is one of our favourite, go-to fried chicken place! We’ve tried quite a few from their menu, have tried eating in, and also take aways and they’ve always delivered crunchy, juicy fried chicken, other delicious fried goods, fresh kaleslaw and tasty sauces! Our favourites, to name a few, are the fried mushrooms with either spicy or cheesy sauce, kaleslaw with creamy sesame dressing, dr Ori or dr Smash rolls (dr Smash comes with geprek sambal), and their charcoal bun baos. If deep fried foods could replace veggies and fruits, we would happily eat dr Krunch everyday! Their service is also very friendly so you’ll be greeted by smiley and warm staffs. Make sure to visit when you’re in Randwick!

Their Krunch Family Combo is a pretty good deal! Chickens are crunchy, tender inside, and super tasty. I don't normally eat a lot of salad, but I could finish their Kale Slaw! It's fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Dr Krunch to my friends!

Crispy and juicy chicken. The krunch chicken pieces and wings are really recommended. Spicy sauce is delicious as well but might be too spicy for some, mix it with cheesy melt to tone it down.

The fried chicken here is so fresh and less oily. Love the mushroom chips as it's so juicy. It also has a healthy option for anyone who don't like it fried.. their combination of grilled chicken and kaleslaw is to die for.

Very creative menu, from chicken rolls, crispy chicken, salads to sides, they have a few awesome selection to choose from. 🙂

The crunchy chicken in dr Ultimate and karaage chicken in dr Karaagebun were both crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. Great portion of slaws sandwiched between two soft buns. The chips were also crispy & well seasoned. 😃

Friendly staff all the way through. Will return to try their krunchy chicken & sides. 😉

Had the chicken wings and whole chicken with garlic soy & spicy sauces. Definitely great Krunch! The sauces were a tad on the saltier side for my palate, but may be more balanced out if they were coated in the chicken instead of on side (my request and will note this next order).

There’s plenty of crunch in the Dr Krunch fried chicken. The $43 family meal combo is brilliant value for a whole chicken, six crunchy wings, two serves of shoestring chips, a surprisingly delicious kale slaw and soft drinks, plus your choice of three of their signature sauces (choose from original, cheesy melt, red spicy and tasty mild) which are served in reusable vials. Add a side of battered and fried mushrooms and you have a decent meal for four adults for just over $50.

Been here several times and they are consistently great! But the highlight of our last visit was their crunchy flower, which is a deep fried parmesan cheese coated cauliflower. It is their new menu, hope that they will keep it permanently! It tastes like chicken nuggets but lighter, soooo good! Last but not least, they really know how to make things crispy and crunchy, anything!

Dr Krunch is a fried chicken place that serves some of the most crunchiest food you can find located about a two minute walk from Royal Randwick Shopping Centre! They serve the greatest variety of food ranging from fried chicken to burgers, lotus chips and even fried mushroom which has to be my absolute favourite. They also offer a combination of sweet, savoury and spicy sauces that you could add on top to create a little twist to their already flavourful dishes. If you're up for a challenge you might want to ask the staff to try out their Sambal sauce which is one their more spicier sauce options made a mixture of chilli peppers. I would definitely be coming back to try the other ranges of food they offer.

The prices seem lower than the good fried chicken places but the roll was smaller and the chicken was so bad that it should be priced more in line with KFC (the .99 pricing is just another reason to hate them). The batter on the several pieces in the roll was soggy and the chicken inside was really really stringy and hard to eat.

This restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but it has some really creative and delicious dishes! Everything from fried chicken to fried mushroom with cheese to loaded fries to a kale salad that actually tastes good, there's really something for everyone at Dr. Krunch.
The fried chicken even comes with four different sauces: original, cheesy melt, tasty milk and red spicy. I've never seen fried chicken with melted cheese before, but I really loved the combo!
My other favourites were the loaded fries, kale salad, and the mushroom with melted cheese.

Krunchy mushroom is the best deep fried mushroom I've ever tasted! Must try! ❤️
The renkon chips were a little bit disappointing, but tasted nice with the cheese sauce. Everything is crunchy as promised!

I was using Groupon voucher here, the staff is very friendly. I ordered dr smashed with reckon chips. I thought dr smashed is inspired by Indonesian dish, it’s spicy smashed chicken with slaw and cucumber. The sambal was really hot dont order this if you couldnt eat spicy food. But because i like spicy food it went well on me. Reckon chips tasted like yam chips. But overall tasted ok, price also standard, i’ll be back for the smashed chicken 😊

SO yummy! I am so lucky I work very close - I definitely recommend to give it a try! Very friendly staff also. Thank you Dr Krunch for coming to Randwick

I bought a Groupon voucher for this place as it looked funky and new. We ordered two chicken rolls, two fries and two cans of drinks. Dr. Renkon roll was delicious and had bits of renkon chips and seaweed which was different. Dr. Crunch had a lot of sauce- a little spicy and full of flavour. Overall great service and food.

So we originally were meant to order the krunchy mushrooms instead of the renkon chips (lotus chips), but the lady made a mistake and kindly gave us free samples of the mushroom which tasted beyond amazing. As for the loaded fries and wings, it tasted better than i had expected. The fries had a really good flavour and for the half chicken, the batter they had used for it was different from the Southern style (such as KFC) which was light, crunchy and flavourful. Service was wonderful.
