Review Eating Station - Ravenhall

Never thought I would be dining here as we were after the Cafe next to this one and we ended up so satisfied. The portion, the flavour, the combination, the music and the sauce in picture 2 next to the bread were all magnificently delivered. Highly recommend the Chicken Claypot and Steak Breakfast 👍

Sooo.. looking for Breakfast as we had been travelling from Regional Victoria. This was beyond anything we imagined. Service, food and great prices. Best breakfast/meal in a very long time. Grind is definitely a hidden secret. Go support this amazing crew. Wish we weren't so far away.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good quality food and drinks. Great if you are looking for a quiet place for coffee or breakfast. 🙂

A delicious steak breakfast. Never been disappointed with any option on their menu, I do recommend

Great discovery in Sunshine. Friendly staff and the food was delicious. A mix of western and Vietnamese. Nice coffee. Will definitely be back to try more in the menu. Thankyou!

- Passed by for a takeaway coffee. Restaurant was bustling so it’s clearly a favourite. - Fantastic and friendly customer service. Although there was only one barista (who was clearly under the pump), she was welcoming and accomodating. Since she was the only barista, this did mean we waited around 10-15 minutes for our coffee (but didn’t mind the wait). - More on the pricey side ($5.20 for regular soy latte), but will happily return. UPDATE: went back to try their Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Breakfast Plate! Both were so delicious and filling!

3.5/5. Grind was quite pleasant. We had the iron pot with kransky, a beef burger and herbed fries, and southern benedict. The ironpot was the star of the show for its homeliness and the beef burger was done well too, juicy and not overly greasy. The side of chips were also cooked so satisfyingly with a really nice tomato sauce that’s not like I’m used to. As for the southern benedict, it was okay. I think the pork was a bit sweet and too soft so on top of poached eggs and english muffins, it felt very homogenous. The chef was really friendly though! I was a little let down by the coffee though. Apparently the default coffee size is a mug (?? at other cafes, the default is a small). I tried to tell this to the manager (I assume) but found myself being interrupted several times before I could properly explain. I just copped the loss before being told next time I should specify
there is such a thing as too much coffee, it appears.

Was absolutely impressed, lovely food, drinks with reasonable prices. Staff were also lovely. Will definitely pop in again when in the area : )

Overall rating: 4

We wanted to try out a brunch spot close to home and heard about this beautiful spot from friends. Friendly staff welcomed us into their gorgeous space, and allowed us to sit outside in the sun with a nice view.

The cafe serves a variety of dishes for breakfast and lunch, from small breakfast bowls and snacks to big mains including barummundi, scotch fillets, burgers, pastas, from sweet to savoury, for all ages - definitely an 'eating station' to stop at!

We ordered the following...

Smoked salmon eggs benedict: I remember this being a special and I had to try how they do their smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. The sourdough bun was toasted nicely and had a nice buttery crisp, which paired well with the soft ingredients of the soft-boiled egg, salted smoked salmon and creamy hollandaise sauce. What stood out on this dish was the tomato jam, which had a sour yet sweet kick to the entire dish.

Smoked salmon bagel - with cream cheese, smoked salmon, avo, red onion, balsamic vinegar
The bagel was a bit on the soft side, but the flavour was spot on. The flavour was balanced by the creamy cheese and avo with the tangy red onion and fruity balsamic vinegar.

Zucchini, carrot, corn fritters - with halloumi, minted yoghurt, spiced dukkha
This was quite delicious to eat until you get sick of it because it's so filling. The corn fritter was a bit salty, especially while the halloumi cheese is already salty. The halloumi and fritter lacked the crunch factor I was looking for. On another note, the minted yoghurt and spiced dukkha was a great compliment to freshening up the heavy dish.

Price is a bit expensive, especially for a small dish although you can tell they use high quality ingredients and cook with care. A very tasty and relaxed experience, great for family mornings.

Food: 4
Value: 3.5
Ambience: 4.5
Service: 4
Place is a major price gouge with prices especially build your own menu. Menus were sticky cutlery needs replacing, was all worn. Scrambled eggs way too salty. Why add salt if not requested???

I have been hearing about the Eating Station for some time, and it was only after a session at the gym did one of my friends suggest we go check it out. Well I am definitely glad we did.

Hidden away among the industrial landscape of Ravenhall lies the Eating Station CafĂ©, which shares a common entrance walkway with Memories of India, Indian Restaurant. All I can say to sum up this place is “wow.” This is what we need in the West!

The coffee here is just delicious and rich with no hints of acidic after taste or burnt beans, these guys are all about delivering quality. I ordered the Acai Bowl which you can also order with added protein powder. As soon as the Acai hit my table, I knew I was in for something special.

The bowl is delicately lined with fresh and colorful kiwi fruit, banana, strawberries, coconut flakes and crunchy granola. The acai berry puree has a strong purple tone which tastes incredible. There is no overly dominating taste in the puree and it is all well balanced as it should be. The added protein powder thickens the puree’s consistency which I have never experienced before
and I love it. This would have to be the best Acai Bowl I have ever had. The fruit is sliced thick and I definitely feel that there is value for money here. I haven’t tried anything else from the Eating Station but from what I could see, each dish that was carted around my table looked mouthwatering. What I noticed was that each new menu item had its own individuality in the way it was presented and atheistically composed which wowed the diners around me.

My verdict: “Worth it” for the Acai Bowl at $16.90.

I have only tried the Acai Bowl here but definitely plan to return to complete a full Dad-Venture in the near future. Check out our Instagram @dadventuresofficial for more reviews and home cooking ideas.

Did we over order at Eating Station? Most definitely.

Ordered:
🍳 Potato and Cheese Croquettes: with wilted spinach, smoked salon, 2 poached eggs & red pepper hollandaise ($21.90)
+ 🧀 halloumi ($5.00)
đŸ„Š Crispy cauliflower (v): fried in a light spiced batter served with harissa mayo ($11.90)
đŸ„€Sunny Side up, impressed cold press juice: orange, coconut, water, pineapple and passionfruit ($7.00)

Review:
My favorite was definitely the potato and cheese croquettes. The croquettes tasted more like a mash potato, which is a strange combination with the poached eggs. But with the wilted sweet-ish spinach, somehow it all worked.
The halloumi was a personal addition but definitely unnecessary for an otherwise salty dish.
Make sure you eat this fast before the mayo stiffens up a little 😼.

The cauliflower had a strangely thick batter - a little different from the "light batter" that we peeled off like a shrimp before we consumed hahaha.

Considering Eating Station is one of the only brunch places in the area, the ample seating does well to accommodate the weekend brunch rush.

Great cafe in the burbs. With ample parking and plenty of seating it was great that we could just walk in without a booking.

We enjoyed our burgers which were a very generous serving along with the Mac & cheese sandwich were so yumm. Along with great lattes we were very impressed. Yummm

Came here for an afternoon brunch on a Sunday to catch up with a friend. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the ambience inside was bright and upbeat, the menu choices were vast and accommodating - all the makings of a fantastic suburban cafe. My smashed pumpkin was well portioned and delicious - the pumpkin was cooked to a creamy texture, the eggs were poached just right, the plating was as good as the fish tasted. My friend had the Mac N’ Cheese sandwich which came with wedges and there were no complaints there either. I would love to come back another time to try some of the other dishes.

Went with a group of girls and really enjoyed ourselves.
The service was lovely and genuine and we received our orders super fast despite it being quite busy.
I ordered the pumpkin smash with a side of bacon and it was delicious.
The menu was quite large which I’m usually not a fan of but there was a great variety of dishes that were different from the usual brunch items you get.
Would definitely go back!
Loooopita
I went for the first time, and the atmosphere was really nice. I got the potato croquettes dish and the first few bites were quite good, but as I ate more it became sickeningly salty, probably because of the combo of smoked salmon and sauce and croquette meant it was overly salty and I had to eat real slowly so I wouldn’t feel sick.

I tried my friends avocado mash from the big breakfast, and that was fairly good. A comment from said friend was that the big breakfast was a bit bland.
Shutoutof-paradise
Had a pleasant afternoon brunch with my family today. Chai latte is one of the best ones I’ve had in a long time, with aesthetically pleasing cups. The zucchini and corn frittata with halloumi and egg with a side of mushroom Was absolutely beautiful and filling. The avo toast is an ol’ favourite. We ordered specially the pasta with vegetables and that was simply brilliant and serving is adequate for 2 people. Portions were really good and service was friendly. Would definitely be back.
Melbournefoodie
The food is a little on the underwhelming side and often looks better than it tastes. The service could use improvement and better training as staff often appear flustered. Cleanliness more importantly needs urgent attention as receiving a bottle table water with floaties is never acceptable and extremely off putting

I organised a work lunch with some colleagues and we all enjoyed our meals, they came out quickly and the service was pretty good. I would definitely recommend.

Been coming here for over 18 months.
Today was an early Saturday morning visit. Staff incorrectly assumed the size of our table. Best to ask the customer how many people they’d like a table for instead of trying to guess.
We were continuously hounded for coffee and breakfast orders. Even after we’d ordered coffees two more staff members wanted to take our coffee orders. It was overkill.
Sad thing was staff were nowhere to be seen after our food arrived. No upsell of another round of drinks, which we would happily have ordered. Their loss.
Friend with a nut allergy ordered the chia pudding. There is no mention of it including nuts on the menu, which is why she ordered it.
Chia pudding arrived covered in nuts. Staff & kitchen were quick to rectify but could have easily been avoided if menu was informative.
Coffee is good. Cups look attractive but you soon feel like you’re drinking from a plastic kids cup.
Food from the kitchen is always impressive but like so many eateries at the moment they’re let down by front of house service.
The area to pay at the counter is squashy. Whilst paying for our bill I was asked to move multiple times for staff using the area as a walkway.
Seating is really tight.
Always a great meal but too many issues to overcome just to return for good food.

A busy little cafe located in Ravenhall.. surprisingly it was quite packed.. we ordered some coffee, hot chocolate and potato and cheese croquets to share.. the coffee was decent and was nice and strong.. the croquettes were heavenly and packed full of flavour.. a very tasty meal and great spot for a quick brunch..
there was a kids play area outside of the restaurant and it was a very kid friendly space.. there was an outdoor seating area where parents can have brunch as well as be close to their kids..
Came here for brunch to catch up with a friend. Good customer service, decent food. I got the chicken sandwich with avocado, expecting the chicken to be dry, but it turned out to be very succulent. That alone filled me up, along with the chips we got to share that came with sweet chilli sauce which I love.

My boyfriend and I’s go to place 💖 Food is fantastic, great variety to choose from and I love how the specials are always different every time I go there. Would definitely recommend to others.
Allyfenn
Delicious Lactose Free Latte served promptly. Friendly and efficient service. Salad tasted delicious and fresh. Very impressed with how quickly the food arrived even though it was quite busy. Will definitely be a regular place to eat for us. One of the much needed good food quality restaurants in the local area.
Christina Camenzuli
AMAZING!!

The regular Sunday brunch spot, can never fault.
Staff are always friendly and accommodating and food is always at a high standard.

Tried the Zucchini, carrot and corn fritters - would recommend (like anything else on the menu 😜)
Johnny Chan
One of the best cafes in the west side I have been to. Very good for brunch and breakfast. Great coffee and excellent service. Very good ambience with lots of glass windows for natural lighting and view. Can get really busy during weekends for brunch, so do yourself a favour and get there early.
Kathleen
Really good service, we were seated quickly and the waiter and waitresses were very attentive. Food came out quickly and was of high quality. We ordered the sliders combo, the wild caught barramundi, mango mayhem and berry blitz smoothies. It was all very delicious, my only concern is that like any brunch place everything was overpriced but otherwise would recommend!
New Food Critic ✌
Cute brunch place in the west! Good coffee and friendly service. Food isn’t too bad. Lacked a bit of seasoning but nothing salt and pepper couldn’t fix. Portion is quite good. However, I don’t think I got sourdough bread as stated on the menu. Would definitely come back though!
Brie Williams
Very close to home, quite a bit of parking, lots of seating options inside and outside, air conditioned on the inside. The food was amazing, very quick service, friendly staff. I would go a bit earlier on weekends as it gets packed pretty quickly (if that sort or scene bothers you it gets loud quick). The presentation and taste is top quality and very insta worthy. The price is fair and affordable. Will be going back.

Finally got around to getting our brunch on at local cafe, eating station. Loved the look of this place and being a Friday it was packed!!.. I ordered the chilli scrambled eggs which were tasty, loved the fresh chilli garnish as well as the spicy sujuk sausage. It was well presented & looked fantastic on the plate. However the poached eggs & bacon on toast were bland, overpriced & less appealing on the eye could have plated it better myself at home... As for the coffee, I think the Barista needs some further training with dosing & extracting coffee. Our Latte’s were terrible - they lacked body & tasted very watery
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
đŸ˜±Lizzie’s first impression: although this place is quite out of the way and literally by the freeways, the food was exceptional, the service was impeccable and it was busy on a Saturday!

đŸ©Lizzie enjoyed: we loved the waffles - the waffles were crispy and it was a simple yet made well. The staff also gave us fairy floss as soon as we re heated it! The smashed pumpkin on toast was actually delicious - plenty of flavour and perfect ratio of pumpkin and toast!

🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: the matcha latte wasn’t as strong as I wanted it to be but it was sweetened which I love (not many places sweeten it well)

đŸ„‡Lizzie rates overall: a great humble cafe and I highly recommend you go if you’re around the area!

We walked in with not so welcoming service which was disappointing because it lasted throughout the whole meal, but other than that the meal itself was great!! We started off with ordering a mango mayhem and an almond cappuccino, which was great and refreshing. After taking awhile to decide what we wanted, we finally decided on the getting the breakie burger, smoked salmon bagel and for something sweet we went for the brioche French toast.

The service wasn’t all that, plus the meal did take awhile to arrive but the food does make up for it. We both enjoy all the dishes but a few let downs where the poached eggs on the smoked salmon wasn’t runny which was disappointing and the brioche French toast was great but we did get sick due to too much chocolate/Nutella.

But overall would 100% be coming back to try more of their breakfast/brunch items.
Man Vs Food
Made a booking for Melbourne cup day 24 hours beforehand for 8 people, got there and there was no booking in the book for us😡.
Got a table made up for us in the outside area.
Was not a good 1st impression, meals were not value for money, I was still hungry.
Very nice little restaurant, packed for a weekday . Great food on the menu. Very delicious and friendly service. Definitely will visit again soon

Decided to look for a nice place to brunch in the western suburb and found this place that had quiet a good review. This place delivered with a good feed and great quality ingredient. Glad to have this place so close by will definitely visit here more often.
Zunflour24
Great staff, very friendly, great coffee BUT ordered the chilli scrambled eggs on sourdough. It came to the table with chilli sauce over scrambled eggs which were sitting on top on soggy white bread. Not sourdough.
Amazing food. The service was wonderful too with the staff being very accommodating and friendly. Real family setting as I took my 5 month old daughter with me. Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved this place so much everything was amazing the food the service as well as the chill atmosphere definitely going there again

Deciding where to go for brunch is tricky when u have close to 100 cafes in your bookmark list. After scrolling through my list, reading menus and looking at Instagram pages my mum stated the obvious and suggested a local cafe: The Eating Station.

I had this preconceived idea that local cafes wouldn’t deliver quality dishes.
I was totally wrong! I ordered the potato and cheese croquettes with smoked salmon, spinach, red pepper sauce and hollandaise. Two words, FLAVOUR EXPLOSION. The croquettes were very soft and fluffy. The richness from the oozing egg yolk and hollandaise sauce were balanced by the wilted spinach and smoky red pepper sauce. This smokiness from the sauce also married well with the smokiness from the salmon.

Main lesson learnt: don’t underestimate local cafes.

If you’re looking for a local gem, then this is the place to be. There were many options on the menu and the quality of the food was consistent in each dish. I really enjoyed the mango mayhem smoothie and my dish, which was the potato and cheese croquettes. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Staff were friendly and and attentive. Would love to try other dishes on the menu 👍

A hidden gem! I have been here a few times now, i love the cafe! Everything in the menu is served beautifully and portions are very generous. My personal favourite is the Nutella Brioche French Toast. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Love it and will be back!

I’m not a regular to the Western suburbs, but I found myself out here on a Sunday morning wondering where I was going to get a half-decent coffee. I stumbled upon this place, which defied expectations. The staff were friendly & very attentive, the place was packed (which I always feel is a good sign). The coffee was great & the food was so delicious, there was absolutely value for money, the serving were large enough that I definately felt satisfied. I would recommend the Brekkie Burger, which my partner wolfed down in record time. Additionally there is a great outdoor play space for kids, what a bonus!

Will definitely be coming back to this place! Service was amazing and food was delicious!!
Price was decent and soo much food to choose from!
The Quintos 😜
Apologies for the low-quality photo - we were sooo hungry that we didn’t even take a “before” pic!

Here’s our first five-star review:

Darren (Big Breakfast Make Your Own): It was great! Had the ability to create my own big breakfast, only choosing the foods I wanted. The serving was more than I thought it was which was a bonus. The taste and presentation was phenomenal; the bread was nice and crispy, the egg was perfectly cooked, mushrooms was juicy but not soggy, sausage was đŸ‘ŒđŸ».

Sarah (Schnitzel Roll): Despite the name suggests, this roll was full of flavour! I added mayo to the roll which helped ‘seal the deal’. The cheese was sooo good and the roll didn’t drown in flavour like I find common at other restaurants. I wish my stomach were bigger!

Not too bad place to have brunch, but I don't think it's worth the price tag. The chilli scrambled egg was pretty spicy and overall okay. But the other breakfast was pretty meh. The toast was too basic and you probably may want to upgrade it. The sausage was too dry and I didn't really like the taste. The hash brown was okay though. Thankfully the coffee was all right.

~ Absolutely love this place. As a Melbourne cafe explorer, I would safely say this is a place to make sure you check out at least once!

Staff are very friendly and always looking out for customers. Atmosphere is pleasant and food is always a hit (I've only had 2 items from menu, however). I've been here for breaky and lunch and for many casual coffee catchups. Try a freshly squeezed juice or a coffee 'your way' and you wont be dissapointed ~

Came here today while on the road for a late breakfast between jobs. I was seated and served immediately and my food came out fast. I ordered the zucchini fritters with avocado and a poached egg. It was really delicious and the haloumi gave it just that bit extra. I was only in the area by chance so unfortunately i cant try any of their other dishes but if i lived close by i would be back for sure

Food: I ordered “messy mushrooms” and it’s quite average, would’ve liked it seasoned though
Bf ordered “brionche French toast” and it was quite overwhelming’ it should be listed on the dessert menu Than all day breakfast 😅
Service: friendly and attentive
Rating: 3/5 , would like to try their burgers but would try another place if I was going for brunch đŸ€—
Sarah Morris
One of our favourite cafes in the area so I am sad that it does not have a higher rating. Great food always, manager is super friendly as are the girls. Good coffee and spot for the kids!
Ana Jansz
This place is a little gem! Nice and local, friendly service, nice venue, kid friendly and the food is a 10 out of 10! Pricey but quality food.

Been coming here since the place opened so I could say I know the menu well. I've always loved this cafe for its friendly service, yummy food and family friendly vibes. my favourite item on their menu has always been their fritters and coffee. They cater to everyone and I'm always taking my friends or family here if I need something decent to eat. doesn't hurt that it's down the road from my house but I can always count on them for good food.
Jo N
Got lucky with seating but very busy for Sunday noon. Service was attentive and food came out pretty quick though. Ordered chilli omelette which was huge but flavourless. No taste of chilli or seasoning. Boyfriend ordered scrambles eggs which was also lacked any seasoning. Would return here to try other dishes!
Melbourneats
Great go to cafe if you’re not sure where to go.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Our dishes were presented well.
I didn’t really enjoy the chicken focaccia as I thought I would as the actual focaccia bread was quite powdery to eat. Chips were great though.
Take your lover, friends and family here.
Amy Strachan
Tried to go in at 3.10pm for a take away coffee but they had shut up before closing time. Not impressed. If your opening hours are til 4pm then you need to honour it. It was my first visit and left a very poor impression.
Melissa Thang
My go to brunch in the west side! Their grilled chicken salad is my favourite lunch dish. The smoothies and coffee are also wonderful
Love the interior, food and service.
Daniela
Waste of money. Ordered 3 mango smoothies and there was absolutely no taste of mango. So called mango pieces didnt have no mango taste. Try hard snooty place. Felt like we had to order food even though we specifically said we were there for only drinks. Took 4 waitiers to understand we wanted JUST DRINKS.
Mish đŸ”â€ïž
I had the veggie fritters on a Sunday afternoon, the place was very busy, staff were attentive however food was quite average, the fritters were doughy and lacked flavour. Coffee was also average.
Mel
What a lovely experience. Was starving after car shopping all day but was pleasantly surprised with how lovely this place was. Ordered the salami focaccia and beer battered chips, chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, focaccia tasted so fresh with great quality ingredients. Got a Nutella cookie on the way out which was so nice Will Definately Be back :)

Eating Station is one of my favourite local brunch places. I always order smashed avocado when I go out for brunch and the feta cheese just did it for me đŸ‘ŒđŸŒđŸ§€

Overall the cafe offers a menu with great selection at an affordable price. Freshly squeezed orange juice topped it off 🍊 Definitely a hidden gem in the Western Suburbs!
Maria
This place always has great food, a variety of options. The only thing lacking is a baby change table. Was told there was one in the disabled toilet but that turned out to be a bench under a shower which was broken anyway. It's a shame because many parents with babies come here. Other than that, happy with the food and service everytime. Coffee is good too.
Kevin
Came here for lunch on a Saturday and was seated right away. The place is a little bit in the middle of nowhere but the place itself is spacious and modern. I had the pulled pork benedict and it was delicious! The bread wasn't too toasted, the serving of pork was generous and the eggs were nicely poached. One was a little over poached but it was still nice. The orange juice was super fresh and a generous serve also. Overall just a nice brunch place!
Stef Dimeska
Disgusting! Don’t waste your money ... presentation is great but that’s pointless if the food is bland ... except for my eggs that were so sweet I thought I had put sugar on them instead o salt ... very disappointing, perhaps the change in chef has something to do with this? I had high expectations given the reviews ... wait staff were really lovely which is the only positive.

A family friendly restaurant situated in Ravenhall, that isn’t really worth all the rave.

This place is well known to be a great atmosphere for families to come and enjoy a morning coffee while their children can enjoy the outdoors playing ‘tiggy’ at the cafe playground. It’s so encouraging to see more and more brunch places opening up in the western suburbs, especially places like these with open spaces and plenty of room to seat numerous groups of people.
Service at the Eating Station didn’t blow me away, it felt a bit understaffed for a weekend so it was a little chaotic at the time. I dined here with family and one of our drinks as well as a couple of our dishes were admitted to be forgotten so that was a bit of a downer. I ordered the veggie fritters and after having to wait for a forgotten dish I expected to be more blown away. The fritter itself did not taste freshly made at all, was very soggy and practically had the texture of a pancake. The only positive to this dish was the taste of fresh avocado and salmon, which I preferred to eat seperate from the fritters.

Eating Station offers an extensive selection of affordable dishes and a wonderful atmosphere that caters for children. My experience with the food and the service wasn’t overly satisfying and I would probably return here again when it’s not so busy to avoid any dissappointment.

Rice Ball
Eating Station is one of the best local brunch places in the west for sure! The prices are decent/average for brunch cafes and the servings are quite generous.
We ordered the Veggie Fritter with a side of hash brown & Bruschetta with mushrooms and bacon as extras. The Veggie Fritters were amazing; not soggy and oily and tastes of real veggies. The smoked salmon was fresh and the hash brown was perfectly crispy and salted. The bruschetta was only $10 so I added sides for $2.50 each. I loved this dish I highly recommend you add extras on top of the bruschetta because it saves money and you get generous servings of sides. The sour dough was so crispy and the tomatoes and dressing was amazing. Weirdly the salad that came with it the bruschetta had no dressing but don’t hesitate to ask because they’ll give you the most amazing dressing (soy based). The mushrooms were well seasoned and bacon was nice and smoky.
I highly recommend this place I can’t wait to come back!

Love it here - really nice food and decent portion sizes. Great coffee - just wish it was open a little later, even if just on weekends. Nice order seating as well

Hidden away in the west lies a hidden gem. When you enter inside cafe is filled with indoor plants, timber walls, was greeted when we entered with friendly staff. Service was really quick when we ordered, so many options to choose from.

Tasty delicious affordable local cafe which I don't have to travel so far for a good latte. Can't wait to go back to try out the waffles. Yumyum

A very cute little cafe tucked away in the suburbs of west Melbourne. Arrived, greeted, got seated right away. Food was really delicious, affordable too! A really nice place to hang out and catch up with friends! The cafe appeared clean and welcoming! Would come here again !

Great food, great coffee and great atmosphere. Ordered the smashed avocado and eggs and definitely did not disappoint. The service was prompt, and staff extremely friendly. Definitely will be returning soon!

Not a bad local place for brunch.
Good service and good coffee. Only fault was that my partners food tasted like it's been pre cooked and left in the warmer for too long.
Finally a lovely place to have brunch in the west! Prompt service, lovely atmosphere as well as friendly service staff and to top it off, great food.
Westsidefoodie
One of my absolute faves for brunch!

The food is great, the specials menu always offers something fresh, exciting and delicious-never disappoints! The atmosphere is great and the staff are super friendly.

Only suggestion would be to advise staff to bring hot drinks with food as the drinks are usually cold by the time the food arrives.

Generally great food and great service-definitely recommend!
Joanna Jackson
Went there for breakfast this morning, extremely fast and friendly service and the food was excellent, I asked for crispy bacon and that's exactly what I got. Coffee was good too. Will definitely be back.

Visited eating station recently
For brekkie with my wife and daughter and must say this venue is overpriced for the area and the service is lacking with the staff not polite in any capacity. Like their sister cafe Red beetle in Caroline Springs the poor trend has carried over here to Ravenhall. We definetly would not be returning back.

This place is becoming more popular every time I visit. Reasons: Good location, Instagram-worthy food, a family-friendly atmosphere, and attentive service. Coffee's not bad either :) I have yet to find an outstanding flavoursome dish, but I'll definitely be coming back :)
Melb_foodlvr8
It's so good to have a place like this in the west as we are lacking in decent cafes, it's close to all the locals in a random area but easy to find. Great atmosphere, very busy, extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The food was delicious with great variety. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. It was good to see a playground. Not many places cater for children. Good to have the kids running around and enjoying themselves.

Fantastic food and customer service
The chicken salad i ordered was amazing and my partner had the burger and really enjoyed it 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Had the smashed avocado with extras ( bacon & poached eggs). This is always my go to breakfast & can i say OMG!! This is the best i have ever had. Went there this morning ( plus a few other times) & and it was busy. As soon as one table left another one would be sat,so this just goes to show that they must be great. Their food is always consistent and very well priced.
Good job guys.

Went here for brunch and I got to say, I loved it! Poached eggs were cooked perfectly, there's nothing worse than having over cooked poached eggs. The bread was yummy, bacon was okay (I wanted it crispier) and the hollandaise sauce topped it all off even though they did give me a big soup bowl of sauce. Hot chocolate was really yum, chocolatey and sweet. The way I like it. My friend had the vegetarian fritters which had salmon and she absolutely loved it!

The pulled pork burger was a bit chunky which made it a bit dry. It could be improved with smaller chunks or a bit more sauce. Otherwise, it was good. The idea behind the Spiced Chorizo Ragu was interesting but the polenta did not seem to fit in with the dish. The iced chocolate was impressive and the green latte was good. Overall, a good visit and a really good space.

Ordered the veggie fritters. So delicious. Poached eggs were cooked just right, sliced through it and the yolk oozed out over the plate. Great combination of flavour and presentation.

Just opposite of my home. Love this place and the staffs so much. Best cafe in the west. Will definitely come back again. Highly recommend the smash avocado on toast with a poach egg.

This is the go to place for brunch/lunch in the western suburbs. The staff are always accomodating & friendly which seems to be hard to find these days. I can't recommend just one thing off the menu because everything we've had has been fantastic. I have nonstop recommended this place to everyone & everyone who goes has had nothing but great things to say about it & also continue to make it their local too

Bocconcini risotto - nothing to fault with this dish, it was absolutely delicious! The presentation was beautiful, the portion sizes were great (I couldn't even finish mine), the atmosphere was lovely, everything was well presented and the customer service was spot on. They are definitely true to their word on fresh, wholesome ingredients. Couldn't have been happier and will definitely be back! Great job.

Pulled pork burger was ok, I've had better,
The French toast meal had no wow factor, expensive menu for sub par food. Coffee had cold froth on them which was weird as the last time I went was normal
A little gem in the middle of nowhere, great atmosphere delicious food and prompt service, little pricey but worth it. Will be back if I'm ever lost in the outer western suburbs again

Great food, great service! Well worth the visit! Make sure you go check out the Eating Station. Bringing the great food to the Western Suburbs ❀ Make sure you try avocado toast and the pancakes 😍😍

A welcoming addition to Melbourne West's growing cafe scene, we had breakfast here on a Saturday morning and not only is it a family friendly cafe-restaurant, it seems it's a popular place to get productive - there were meetings over coffee and people working quietly on their laptops. Great decor and lovely staff on hand keeping everyone happy!
We dined with our 3yo and 11mo kids and the cute little play area outside was well used by our little one.
I ordered the veggie fritters with smoked salmon and it was just what I needed! The strawberry pancakes were presented beautifully with Persian fairy floss on top and the hubby, after adding some tomato sauce and butter to his dish happily enjoyed chorizos and eggs on toast. The place filled up quickly and we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Favorite local place for plenty of reasons! Amazing food, coffee and service from all the staff here. Love the smashed avo and had the veggie fritters for the first time today and in particular these are a new favourite! Can never order just one coffee! Take home cake for afternoon tea was delicious and we can't wait for our next visit here!

There is a reason plenty of locals have followed Brad and Kylie over the years with their cafe ventures because their food and coffee is absolutely amazing! Eating Station is no exception! Every time I'm here the food is incredible and the coffee is spot on every single time. They've got a great team who are friendly and welcoming. Brad is the King of Breakfast and look no further than the Cake Queen Kylie! The desserts are to die for! 😍
There's never a second guess when we want to go somewhere local.

Great coffee, fresh food and awesome service. Since they have opened there hasn't been a week where I have not come. Could sit here for hours however must keep away from those Pulled Pork Rolls!! They are irresistible....

Tried this cafe for the first time on Fathers Day. We were one of those annoying people that turn up without reservations on a day that's obviously going to be busy for brunch with families celebrating Dad's.
But the super friendly staff found us a table inside without a fuss. The food and coffee was great. Great alternative to heading into the city for a nice spot to eat. Will definitely be back!

Consistently delicious food & great coffee. Always a favourite with family & friends. My 'go to' for breakfast & lunch. Plenty of parking and lovely outdoor area including play space for kids.
Ruth
A great cafe. Loved the outdoor space, especially the slide for the kids. Extensive menu, pulled pork burger was delicious, loved the seasoning on the chips and wedges. Will be back to try out the breaky menu

I enjoy coming here. great range on the menu, good food and coffee, early opening hours and friendly staff. Awesome to have such a good local.

A great addition to the growing family of eateries out west. Food and coffee were both of standard. But what makes Eating Station a place I would come back to, in addition to the food & coffee, and being local - is the fact they have a play area which includes a slide within their premise. Great for families with kids!

Great to see such a nice cafe in the western suburbs! Food was great, portions very generous and service was fantastic. Definitely will be coming again with bubs :)

Way over priced average food.....

Ordered a chicken Parma witch i thought was very hard to get wrong but NO!, it was the worst Parma i ever had.
$8 for a ham and cheese toast??? ...cheese wasn't even melted and the bread was awful.
$20 for a piece of bread with avocado and cheese..?
I would normally find this type of food at a basic truck stop or fish n chip shop but they are priced like a 5 star Gordan Ramsay restaurant......NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Lower the prices or be priced out of the market.

IGA sells half a chicken and chips around the corner for $6.99 and is 10 times better.
I was sick of traveling to the east to find a good cafe, finally the Eating Station has delivered. The staff is good but more importantly the food is better, not to mention the coffee. Peak hour coffee got delivered in minutes and my 'breakfast board' was packed with goodness. Thank you for a good chia pudding in the west.
Finally, a destination that people need to travel for, all they need now is a PokĂšstop.

Fantastic place!! The moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by a warm, friendly atmosphere. The tables were well set out and thoughtfully decorated. The staff were excellent: patient and welcoming. The food was awesome. I ate the egg, bacon and cheese focaccia with a side of chorizos and could not get enough. Wonderful place. Will definitely return.

This place is local to me, been here a few times mainly for breakfast and brunch. Meals are always great and tasty. Does get busy at times but the meals aren't compromised, I don't mind waiting a little bit for quality food. Coffee is awesome, definitely taken my coffee money!! :) Keep up the great service.

This is my favourite coffee in Melbourne. The decor is beautiful and atmosphere vibing.. would recommend to anyone for meals (the food is fresh and delicious!) Or coffee and treats

Great cafe. Lovely food and fantastic service. Hence why i keep coming back. Number 1 cafe in the outer west. Highly recommend the chilli scrambled eggs. Well done guys.

Very family, friendly, quiet, cool vibe. Slightly expensive but everything feels and seems home made. Coffee is decent. Hands down best cafe in the area.
