Review Cafe Diversity - Redcliffe

The food was quite tasty but also expensive especially considering the tiny portion size. The drinks were also very expensive with $5 for the smallest coffee! Nice location/view and pleasant staff although overheard a staff member telling another not to put certain fruit on the acai bowl because it was too expensive (no dramas if the customer isn't paying such an extortionate price)

Waited 50 minutes for breakfast, paid $99 for three meals, a coffee and 1 soft drink. Received this as my eggs Benedict…. Bread not buttered, 2 small eggs and a crack of pepper. Absolutely trash. Big breakfast for $30 a pop was barely any better. Absolutely disappointing and will never be back.

really happy with my first time here. i came in because of the name. i ordered an almond berry tart that was nicely presented with cream as well as a chai latte in a cup. bit on the expensive side but in awe of the lovely latte art i was presented with at the table. indoors is decorated so nicely and overall great experience

Cafe Diversity is a rustic looking cafe located on Redcliffe Parade. With views of Moreton Bay & Moreton Island the outdoor environment is relaxed. Inside is well set up with various seating options, toilets, cafe and bar. A small children's play area with a gate and entertainment makes it a great place for families to enjoy a coffee with ease. Cafe always appears clean and tidy. All meals looked presentable and were cooked beautifully; however, Avocado Bruschetta was a little under seasoned for my liking. Stuffed mushrooms were well balanced in flavour; however, a few ingredients were different to what was stated on the menu. Coffees and juices look good and taste great. Staff are always well presented, friendly and hard working. Pricing is a little steep for the quality of food received; however, due to the location and size of the cafe increased pricing is understandable.

Lovely location. Food was delicious. Staff were nice. Food/drinks a bit pricey. Need sharper cutlery-knife had trouble cutting through the bread.

Had an awesome breakfast and the best thick cut bacon I've ever had, beautiful flavour and the fat was so soft.

The location & kids room is great. Unfortunately This place is over priced, the food is average & the staff were hopeless, definitely would not go back. I had steak sandwich for lunch as pictured $24 charging $2.50 for Baby cino is ridiculous, this place should be busy Friday lunch time hardly anyone there.

This is a great cafe on the esplanade at Redcliffe. Good coffee and good menu. For something different try the Apple Crumble French Toast. It was excellent !

Coming from Melbourne, this is the third day in a row I have come to this cafe. I had to stop over one last time before my flight home. I am in absolute love with everything they have to offer. From the window swings to the kids play area makes life so easy. Their menu is amazing. I have had the Sago breakfast, 3 eggs benedict, iced chocolate, nasi goerang, pork Ramen, fish cakes, pork bao, vermicelli chicken salad, fresh coconut and the Gnocchi. Lets just say I like food and the coffee is great here too. I cant wait to come back to the beautiful place, sit down, enjoy everything again and watch the world go by. Amazing. Love you Cafe Diversity. Keep kicking them goals! And to the staff, you are brilliant!

We ate here for the first time today and absolutely loved the atmosphere, a great place for kids!! The play area is just what parents need to relax and enjoy a nice breakfast. The pancakes were delicious and the coffee perfect. We will definitely be back as there were many other dishes on the menu I wanted to try. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat with a relaxed modern vibe and a yummy nutritious menu!

Would not recommend-went in with an open mind read the menu food sounded good . Waited over 35 minutes for food to come..drinks came in no time enjoyed those still feeling optimistic UNTIL the food came out - very disappointed had pancakes tasted like they had been cooked next to or with meat and onion put me right off then I noticed a rotten grape on my plate could not cope after that! Food looked appealing on the plate but that’s about it ..left feeling very disappointed..

Recently went to this cafe after searching for cafes in the peninsula that were still serving from the breakfast menu at 11 . Cafe Diversity not only did but the service , food and surroundings were exceptional . I ordered the board with juice , eggs bene and tapioca ( I think) ... divine!!!!!!. Although pricey it was worth every cent and I would get this again . The restaurant was full and we received our meals within 15 mins . The waitress provided us with an IPAD to show us the menu and could not do enough to help us . Excellent service , will definitely return , highly recommended

What an absolutely fantastic experience we had at Cafe Diversity! The decor is gorgeous, there is a small inside play area so we could actually sit and enjoy our coffee, the staff were very friendly - even brought over two high chairs for us - and the food was really good. I would definitely recommend it!

Went here for a weekday work lunch. It was quite busy already, possibly due to the holiday period.
We ordered the Popcorn Prawns and Corn (small fried shrimp with an avocado, feta and corn salad; good albeit missing perhaps a more textural or sweet component cut through the avocado and balance flavours), Roasted Spiced Pumpkin and Quinoa (good textures and flavours), Spiced Cauliflower (well prepared cauliflower florets with fresh salad and smooth beetroot puree), and Turkish Eggs (eggs well prepared, delicious). Also ordered the Chai Latte, which was average and milky.
Service was friendly, albeit there was about a 40 minute wait for food to arrive. Casual ambience with indoor and waterfront outdoor seating available. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a trendy Redcliffe cafe with good breakfast and lunch options.

This place is absolutely amazing! Has a wide variety of food for people who are vegetarian/vegan and gf/df which is hard to find nowadays. The food is always beautifully presented. The staff are always super friendly. No complaints about this place it is awesome.

FOOD: first impressions, amazing presentation. Menu options were fantastic. Everything tasted delicious. There were some organic things too and many sides options to order. Menu has great vegetarian and vegan options. I want to go back and try everything on their menu. The only downside is that some are pricey for the portion size, but everything is very classy and rich in flavour.
SERVICE: Very friendly. I ordered Babyccino instead of Piccolo that I was after, but the main lady (owner or manager) was quick to check with me if that's what I wanted. She replaced my milk with the small coffee that I was after and didn't even charge me for the Piccolo. I had paid for Babyccino, but she was kind enough not to bill me for the misunderstanding. Plus they didn't even charge for the slice of organic rye bread that we ordered as extra since my plate did not come with a toast. Furthermore, they were happy to customise the order as per our needs. Excellent service I say!
AMBIENCE: On the main street, so some passing traffic. But great views of the sea. All seating is outdoor which I really liked, although the weather on the day I went was fantastic.
LOCATION: easy access, street parking is easy on weekdays, but may be difficult on weekends.

Drove up from Brisbane for breakfast and a walk . Checked the menu on line and very disappointed when we arrived 😳No sago pudding , main reason for my choice BUT after I expressed this , the wonderful waitress and kitchen managed to whip this up and together with my turmeric latte my breakfast was wonderful and so too the rest of the group . Great coffee , great service , excellent food and good view Well recommended

OH! my. Godddddd ❤️❤️❤️ this is my new favourite cafe and I will be coming back all summer to try everything! The flavours, presentation, portion size, taste and options were all AMAZING!!! I saw some of the burgers come out on the green matcha buns and had food envy after inhaling my own meal. Can’t wait to try the nitro on pancakes next!

Was my first time to this cafe two weeks ago and oh my goodness what a gorgeous place! The design of the cafe inside is beyond amazing! And I supposed I best get to the food...the coffee and edible pot plant were both delicious, 100% my new favourite spot!

Great breakfast option on the water at Redcliffe. The healthy pancakes with banana ‘nice cream’ was a winner. Simple, modern, clean decor and food and coffee to match. Will return to try the lunch options in future. Pleasant dining outside and inside looked great too, especially for kids. Nice option in Redcliffe.

This place has a sense of elegance yet simple with modern touches. Don't be fooled by thinking it's a normal cafe. The food is spot on. Well seasoned and has complimentary flavours. Balanced. Service is friendly and laid back. Seeks comments and thoughts. Very good, look forward to it's development. Recommend when you're at Redcliffe.

Beautifully presented restaurant with views over the bay. Delicious and unique food with a variety of dishes for every tastebud. Even the potato chips with secret spices are superb. Good service and my recommendation for the best restaurant in Redcliffe.
Now open for dinner.

I went and ate out for lunch on one rare occasion with my husband. we hardly eat out at places for lunch or breakfast because the quality and menu items are completely mainstream and practically all the same. we arrived at around 10:30, we approached the entrance and were immediately greeted by a very handsome and polite young boy who made sure he found us a seat that we were pleased with, we were given cutlery, menus and COLD table water seconds after we were seated. My husband and myself can both agree that we felt very well looked after as the staff made us more than welcome. Despite the events of a busy Sunday the atmosphere was seriously relaxing. After looking at the menu and considering their fantastic and different ideas that were on there, I decided on the Eggs Royal and my Husband the Eggs Flourentine. even though these can be found in other cafes I wondered on what this place could do with a basic dish. My Husband went up to order at the counter. the line was quite big so I decided to take a few pictures of the sea. Cafe Diversity is situated on the sea front and oh my it is such a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the morning. I must say the details of the whole restaurant were just immaculate, I mean from the springy salt shakers, the trolleys carrying sauces, napkins and little pads to use if the seat is hard to the neat greenery on the interior wall. As My husband returned we chatted and watched the boats and the birds. The meal came promptly as we were guaranteed a 30 minute wait as the cafe was filled with people. Placed in front of us is something i couldn't of been more pleased with. A dish that composed of eggs, bread, smoked salmon and hollandaise is just so delicious. As the plates were brought out to us I was more than pleased. the lime hollandaise glazed the poached eggs perched on a nest of smoked salmon and spinach beneath an english muffin. a perfect combination. My husband would agree. the presentation was great and we both are pleased with this trip out. Recommended by friends i can confidently say this is a delightful stop to take if ever in redcliffe. We felt accommodated for and happy to be in a place where the staff were knowledgeable and present. Thank you Cafe Div!! Will be back!

The friendly staff here never fail to deliver the best coffee, service and food I've ever experienced! The diverse and accommodating menu caters to all sorts of diets and definitely pleases the palate! I'm so happy that Redcliffe has found Cafe Diversity. The fresh and local produce is brilliant and I will continue to call this unique cafe my favourite in Brisbane!

Great fresh local food, fantastic coffee and great happy service. Unfortunate for the other people who've had bad experiences, give cafe diversity another shot, i promise its more than worth it. Absolutely fantasic.

Yummy food, defiantly obvious that the chefs have put a lot of time and thought into the main meals as they were beautiful with multiple elements. However I must be honest, I paid $19 for the vegetarian dish and after 6-7 bites I had finished it.
My girlfriend got the banana smoothie bowl and it was runny and SO BLOODY SMALL! Like, it wouldn't have been enough food for a toddler, and I paid $12 for it.

Tried to eat here on a week day, it wasn't busy at all but the staff were still too preoccupied doing something to come and tell us to order at the counter after 20 minutes of sitting there. We weren't even given menus. Would give zero but the salt shakers were pretty sweet, so this 1.0 is for them.

We were recommended this place and excited to visit it. When we arrived we saw the sign saying 'Please wait to be seated'. Someone caught our eye and told us to sit anywhere we like, so we did. No menus, table not set, but that should be ok we thought, someone should come along shortly and help us out. 5 minutes pass. The owner, manager, or someone of importance stands at the table next to us schmoozing with a couple drinking wine. I get up and ask if I can have the menus he's holding and he gives them to me. We look at the delicious menu and have trouble deciding out of all of the delicious sounding choices, but finally do. Another 5 minutes pass, eye contact made with 2-3 staff but not approach. We start to wonder if we have actually died and are invisible, surely someone would have come to talk to us by now. Another 5 minutes go by. A guy eventually comes to the table with water and cutlery. "Sorry guys, not sure if anyone's told you yet but you actually order at the counter." No signs anywhere to this effect- the sign there implies table service. We got up and left. Thanks for letting us sit there for 15 minutes looking like dicks.

TLDR: Go for a visit if you want to seat yourself, get your own menus, set your own table and probably cook your own meals, the staff are too busy ignoring you.
