Review Sycamore Meadows - Reservoir

Muggle Chef
A little inconsistent, but I like the cafe. Plenty of veg options, ty ❤️ - Green goddess sauce has once been pourable and very tangy/delicious, and once has been thicker, more mayo like and less tangy. - Sandwich once was nice and truffley, other time couldn’t taste it at all. Egg on top had a perfect soft gel yolk, not too liquid gushy, thank you. - Tofu scramble serving is a bit too small. - Always missing menu items. Once had no oat milk. Once had no tofu. Both times I’ve been, the breakfast chilaquiles have been sold out when they were what I went there to try 😂 And we go at like 12, not 3pm. - Coffee’s nice, smooth. - Staff are nice but there are always many tables full of dirty dishes. Could probably use another server. We already order off the QR code but it isn’t a pass to give up on other parts of table service. To the server that used to work at Lé Léé, love your service. Miss that place! Thanks :)

Hello, I hope you improve the quality of both coffee and the toasties based on the following feedback: - 1. I ordered flat white, but upon receiving it I went back as it had allot of froth. It tasted more like a cappuccino without chocolate drizzle. Further, the photo is for the coffee which was remade and it doesn’t look and taste like a FLAT White. 2. Toastie tasted so weird that I threw I after taking 2 bites. However, the staff was very friendly.

Your toasted ham, cheese, and tomato croissants have gone way down hill. Now they're unseasoned, soggy inside, and crushed solid by a sandwich press. Shame. A child could prepare a better croissant. Editing review to one star as I ordered again and issues are the same but now it arrived burned on the bottom. Fail.

Friendly staff, Breaky burrito was nice, coffee (magic) was ok. The venue lacked character but good tunes.

Absolutely perfect!!! Gorgeous wait staff, lovely company, wonderful food, thank you so much!

Great service and food. The staff enjoy the food here and it makes sense..proud of what they do. The chicken burger is amazing! And vegan dish was awesome. Great tumeric late. Must try.

If I could bathe in your coffee I would, always to perfection!! Staff are always so lovely, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. I will always chose to come here for catch ups. Keep up the good work!

Visited Saturday morning around 10am… the place was full and I was worried my take away coffee order would take a while. I was created by the staff which took my order promptly and were extremely personable :) it took no time at all before my order was ready and the coffee was delicious! Great job I’ll be back!

I absolutely love every thing about this place . The food was delicious , a huge variety for vegans and vegetarians the staff friendly . I wish they had a restaurant in Merimbula. I also got some Devine vegan goodies to take away. While I am in Melbourne this will be the place I will go to for breakfast or lunch. I Pray everyone finds for themselves that this is worth the visit regards Liane B Aleeya Lady Buddha

Delicious food with some vegan and vegetarian options which is great. Juices were amazing and portions are generous. The vegan egg was mind blowing. My only issue is with the kids menu. Having one child with a serious egg allergy, every option on the kids menu has egg. In the end the kitchen swapped out the brioche bun on the burger for sour dough so she could eat something.

Been in here a few times, so I feel this review is accurate. The menu is great. The food is nice. The wait staff are friendly. The reason for the 1 star is due to the timeliness and inefficiency of the service. Each time I have gone in for either breakfast or lunch, it takes at least 50 mins to receive your meal. The tipping point was waiting 20 minutes for takeaway coffees. It's not that busy, and to be honest, there are only so many times your staff should be saying 'Thanks for your patience', before locals will just walk down the road.

Lovely place. Clean. Friendly staff. We had brekky and it was delicious. Great local place. This was our first visit but certainly won’t be the last. Great place with plenty of seating and plenty of room, not crammed in.

Awesome to have this place as my new local! Walking distance now for excellent coffee, great atmosphere and no "attitude" from the awesome, down to earth staff who always smile and treat my 4 year old like he's an old friend! Oh and the food is top notch too!

Throwback to the amazing brunch which we were able to have at @sycamoremeadowsmelbourne between Lockdown 1 & 2.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>So glad we were able to visit here in time and enjoy some amazing dishes like:<br/>* Malibu Mash<br/>* Southern fried chicken burger<br/>* Chorizo breakfast Burrito<br/>.<br/>.<br/>If you are a local and stay in and around Reservoir - do order their amazing dishes for pick up or takeaway .<br/><br/>But after restrictions are over... do visit as you will love the food, ambience & hospitality here .

When I entered this cozy little cafe, immediately noticed the neon sign which was adorable. <br/>The staff was extremely friendly and easy to talk to.<br/><br/>The food was amazing, specially the burger and the Benny! <br/>You can customise your juice which I loved. I got rid of lemon and added more strawberry and watermelon 🍉 in my drink ! Was so good!!<br/><br/>The only thing I’ve disliked was the milkshakes, as it was not milky or thick but quite runny and watery.<br/>But if you mention this to the waiters they will be more than happy to switch it up.<br/><br/>Over all enjoyed the new Cerritos Nachos and chicken 🍔💯

Can’t believe I haven’t checked out this cafe earlier! The first attraction for me was the “stay gold” sign that lights up the room. The table arrangement is very spacious and recommended sitting on the bench at the front as it has lovely lighting. <br/><br/>I was surprised by the endless amount of options on the menu and had trouble picking which dishes to have. Also they have great vegan options including vegan fried egg which is made out of coconut and pumpkin (want to try it next time). We ended up ordering the L.A Hot Cakes, Eggs Benny and Nourish Bowl. The hot cakes were very soft, not overly dense and topped with watermelon, strawberries and cream. The eggs benny dish had a lot of flavour. The pulled pork and hollandaise sauce was very tasty, and so glad there was two poached eggs on top. Lastly the nourish bowl was a very healthy and filling bowl filled with falafel, tomatoes, avocado, lentils, broccoli and hummus. <br/>Also really enjoyed their coffee, I had a soy latte which was very delicious.<br/><br/>Very keen to visit this cafe again to try many more dishes on their menu.

Headed down to this cafe with my girlfriend and was greeted by the most beautiful and friendly staff members who were full of life and had great passion for customer service.<br/><br/>We tried the hotcakes, falafel bowl, and Benedict along with a few different kinds of smoothies. The coffee was perfect temperature, strong and aromatic. The hotcakes were different as they weren’t too sweet due to the fresh fruits and cream instead of ice cream. The nourish bowl felt so healthy with brilliant colours. We ate everything! <br/><br/>Best of all was the service and atmosphere, so clean and bright. Would go again! Thank you for having us!

A great brunch destination. Amazing coffee, friendly staff, and the food choices WOW.

Having been to their sister cafe The Spade, I was excited to try Sycamore Meadows, and was happy to find such an awesome cafe in Reservoir. The same love and care has also been put into this establishment, and it was clear by the happy faces on the staff that this is a fun place to hang out. Our waitress was so lovely and welcoming, and the barista made some amazing coffees. This large space has several dining areas, with gorgeous checked wall paper, cute framed photos and a cool neon 'stay gold' sign. The vibe is cool and calming, and we definitely felt relaxed here. Ordering some fresh juices to have with our coffees, they arrived promptly and were so fresh and zingy. The green juice just tasted of health and both were really refreshing. The food menu is extensive with some great spins on cafe classics. We wanted to try the tocaya bowl as it sounded amazing, and it's Mexican ingredients really went well together. Black beans, salsa, avocado and plenty of salad in a tortilla bowl was a healthy and delicious lunch option, and it was plated in a very attractive way. The chicken burger was enjoyed by my son, and he thought it was the perfect burger; with moist chicken, lots of melted cheese and a tangy coleslaw. The generous serve of sweet potato fries in their own little basket also added to the appeal, and the spicy flavour of the chicken really made a difference to this burger. I couldn't wait to try the mushroom medley, but unfortunately they were out of vegan eggs, so we substituted in a fried egg. The dish was still amazing, with heaps of huge sauteed mushrooms atop toasted bread, the fried egg and crispy fried kale. I was very impressed with this dish as the toast wasn't soggy despite all the mushrooms, and the textures all worked well together. Another pretty dish, and a fab choice for vegans. Finishing up with a sweet dish, the amazing pancake stack was a huge portion. The fluffy pancakes were divine, with loads of fresh fruit, berry coulis, cream and chocolate soil. I was happy that it wasn't too sweet, but an additional jug of syrup allowed you to adjust the sweetness to your own taste level. This plate was beautifully balanced in taste and textures, and I would happily return to have these gorgeous pancakes again. Hospitality is key to the owners of this lovely cafe, and it's evident that Sycamore Meadows is doing all the right things, as it was a full house when we dined in. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent and the staff are a very friendly bunch. With it's lovely ambience, Sycamore Meadows is the kind of cafe that you happily return to as a regular, and if I were a Reservoir local, this would absolutely be my second home.

4.5 Really spacious and nice cafe with photo frames and neon signs as decor around the place.<br/><br/>We started with some drinks:<br/><br/>F45 SMOOTHIE - Dates, cherries, coconut sorbet, chocolate protein - I love this smoothie!! It tastes like chocolate but not as sweet.<br/><br/>ATLANTA GOLD - Banana, mango, coconut yoghurt, coconut milk, coconut sorbet, raw honey - Didn't try this one but it looked awesome!<br/><br/>PASSIONA - Watermelon, passionfruit, pineapple, orange, raspberries, mango, coconut sorbet, coconut milk - This one was a bit bitter perhaps from the pineapple/passionfruit, but it was refreshing.<br/><br/>Decaf flat white - really nice and no sugar required!<br/><br/>For the food, we ordered:<br/><br/>L.A HOT CAKES - Seasonal fruit medley, mixed berry compote, dark choc crumble, crushed raspberries, pistachio and hazelnuts with vanilla mascarpone. Looked and tasted amazing! The fruits and the hotcakes matched perfectly with the vanilla mascarpone.<br/><br/>CERRITOS NACHOS - Chilli and feta scrambled eggs, black bean salsa, jalapenos, melted cheese, guacamole, fresh coriander with house made nachos. It's different that they added scrambled eggs to the nachos. They were all stuck together by melted cheese and not the crispy type, but my friend loved this dish a lot.<br/><br/>CALABASSAS BENNY - House made tortilla stuffed with black beans, rocket, pulled pork, apple and carrot slaw, pickled red onions and poached eggs with a guacamole hollandaise - The tortilla was a bit hard but the elements on top made it so nice when eaten together.<br/><br/>Overall, we were soo full and rolling out the door! Thank you Sycamore Meadows.

I loved my brunch experience here at Sycamore Meadows. <br/>The atmosphere was so vibrant and friendly. The staff were super attentive, personable and helpful, the cafe has heaps of indoor seating and some on the street too which is perfect if it’s a nice day.<br/>I loved the theme of the cafe - after musician butch walker it’s something creative and different.<br/><br/>The food and drinks were bright, presented beautifully and delicious.<br/>I had the:<br/>Breakfast bowl: the combination of red quinoa, cauliflower, kale, cherry tomatoes and cauliflower hummus was fresh, filling and delicious. It’s a perfect brunch dish with tasty flavours and presented beautifully. <br/>Nourish Bowl: the combination of lentils, falafel, broccoli, avocado, crispy chick peas and more topped with chicken was the perfect power protein bowl. Healthy, natural and delicious, the falafels were some of the best I’ve had, soft, moist and tasty. <br/>Açai Bowl: #staygold topped with banana, granola, mixed berries, peanut butter and more this screams summer! A perfect consistency, delicious seasonal toppings and stunning presentation this is a must try dish! <br/>Juices: create your own if you want! But my favourite is the reservoir dogs with pineapple, mango, passion fruit and lemon it is vibrant, tangy and fresh.<br/>Coffee:so many options and weekly blends a coffee before brunch is a must have!<br/><br/>I can’t wait to try more dishes from the menu, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sycamore Meadows.

I don’t know how I have previously missed that amazing cafe in reservoir. Taking its inspiration from the ‘vibes’ city of Los Angeles it truly had a style that is hard not to love. With excellent service, we decided to sit down outside and enjoy the day. <br/><br/>Deciding on three dishes which of included the ‘Nourish bowl’ with lentils, falafel, broccoli, black kale, edamame beans. Avocado, cherry tomatoes, crispy chickpeas, macadamia feta, spinach and hummus. The combination was perfect and the falafels were extremely moist. <br/><br/>We also tried the ‘Breakfast bowl’ which included tri coloured quinoa, pickled cauliflower, kale, pomegranate, crushed almonds and walnuts, with a celeriac puree, feta cheese, quinoa chips and a lime mustard vinaigrette. The chips definitely added that extra bit of crunch the dish needed as well as the pomegranate providing that balance of sweet to even out the dish. <br/><br/>Its always amazing when a cafe can just nail not only their speciality dishes but the basics. This of course includes free range poached eggs on sourdough and mushrooms on the side. The perfect, simple dish for a light lunch. <br/><br/>A great experience, great staff and somewhere I would recommend to my friends and family as a brunch spot. <br/><br/><br/><br/>

Had to wait 40 minutes for just two take away coffees. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Would expect a bit faster service to be honest.<br/>

All I can say is amazing 👌👌

Nice cafe environment. The Mushroom Melody was pleasant. It’s busy and the food took a while to be delivered. I had to wait even for paying the bill, as the staff were busy.

Lovely place with lovely interior. The granola was supper tasty and cured my peckish feeling straight away. Will definitely be back to test out the rest of the menu.

Came here this morning for take away coffees and food. Unfortunately the service was very surly, and came across as aggressive with no care for what I wanted, and even contempt at me being there. Food and coffee were fine, however I won’t be returning due to the customer service.
Ta.be.tabi
Ordered Malibu Mash. The avocado in the Malibu Mash was way too tangy from them premixing lemon juices to preserve it, even the goats cheese couldn’t compare.<br/>Also ordered side of hash browns, the outer was really thick from over frying and inner was gooey, which created a strange texture.<br/>They gave our hash browns to a different table (retrieved after we questioned about it) and forgot to order my smoothie.<br/>Overall underwhelming experience and disappointed.<br/><br/>

The food is good with enough variation on the menu. But on weekends I find it so loud. Accommodated our mums group very nicely. Usually quite busy.
Nadia
California-inspired eats make up the bulk of this cafe’s menu: bright, fresh, produce-driven with a healthy mindset. I had the Quinoa Bowl which came with harissa cauliflower, smokey corn, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower hummus and fresh kale. Think it had some kind of lime vinaigrette which really made the whole thing pop. Coffee was good although the service was a little patchy. Would be happy to go back though as the menu is an interesting one!

The current 4.2 rating seems bang on the money to me and there’s clear capacity to ascend further.<br/><br/>This is a really nice cafe in this part of Melbourne. It has a stylish street presence for the area which is transitioning nicely. Reservoir is an area on the up in every respect and it has some really interesting parts.<br/><br/>The immediate impression you get entering the cafe is that it’s cooly hip with an agreeable fit out. And, there’s lots of room. It’s a mighty space that whispers comfort as soon as you enter. There’s terrific distance between tables, something you don’t get that often with cafes, particularly those closer to the city. It’s nice to be able to breathe and know it’s hard for your neighbors to eavesdrop.<br/><br/>Full marks to the cafe for other aspects of the experience here too. I received a cheery greeting immediately on arrival. I loved the playlist they had running as well. Table service was warm, polite and efficient too. Water was provided immediately. The server was excellent in every respect. These things add up in my view.<br/><br/>Mine was just a coffee stop today. My long black was strong and substantive. A very respectable Melbourne coffee. Full marks for presentation too. It was nicely brought on a board with a tiny glass of sparkling water which always suggests care and best practice to me.<br/><br/>The menu looked really good. There’s a host of interesting dishes there and certainly plenty to get me back here soon. And, you can get a drink here including most critically, a Bloody Mary.<br/><br/>This is a really good cafe. Recommended.

So many vegan options (gf too!!)<br/>I went with the mushrooms melody which was packed with flavour.<br/>I also had a beet carrot apple juice and a cashew date bar.<br/>Would love to try the other options on the menu

Spacious & modern cafe, friendly & efficient staff. <br/>Delicious food, the steak sandwich was tender & juicy. <br/>Look forward to returning to try other items on their menu.

Had the cali salad with haloumi - it was super fresh and tasty! Loved the roasted cauliflower especially. Also can't fault the service, the waitress we had was super friendly and attentive.

hard to find nice cafes around Reservoir as i just moved to the area! so glad i came across this one!<br/><br/>as soon as i walked in i loved the look and feel<br/>of the cafe! beautifully presented and staff greeted us straight away, super friendly!<br/><br/>all the food on the menu sounded amazing but i went for the “Malibu mash” which had some amazing flavours and extremely delicious!<br/><br/>coffee was so good i had to get one on the way out!! :)

The location and space are great but the food is very hot and miss. Sometimes amazing, sometimes bland. (Same dish - different day)<br/><br/>Whilst the staff can be friendly, I’m afraid this is also hit and miss. <br/><br/>Overall it’s ok. Just hope you get a good day.

Fantastic cafe near Edwards Park in Reservoir. We have been here twice and the first time their menu seemed quite limited and with food that was not filling at all. Second time though the menu was amazing and couldn’t fault anything except it was very very busy. They still got the food out in reasonable time. The prana chai late was perfect and the coffee also according to my family. They are very child friendly and even had colouring in for my toddler to do while we waited. The menu was very inventive and everyone on our table was impressed with their meals. Will definitely be going back.

What a great cafe! We had the Sycamore burger and the maple bacon jam is divine. Also had the La Cienega Tacos which were perfect! Great service, lovely chilled atmosphere. Our new local fav

Great café in Reservoir, much bigger than it appears from the outside. Food was delish, lots of different options, will definitely be back to try some more!

Edit: The first visit was a fizzer, they apologised and sent a voucher... and breakfast today was highly redemptive! Details on the first visit available at the bottom of this...<br/><br/>Anyway, my friend and I went for breakfast on a Saturday. Excellent variety on the breakfast menu (though admittedly the alliteration in the menu names feel a bit forced), with a good amount of ambition in items like fried poached eggs - which, to be honest, I regret not ordering. For the record - apparently poached, then coated and crispy-fried. Sounds like deep-fried ice-cream, for those who remember suburban Chinese pre-90s.<br/><br/>The food was genuinely good, and so was the coffee. The only culinary slip was that someone was hugely heavy-handed on the vinegar with the poached eggs - the rest of it (particularly the breakfast burrito) was inventive and well-executed.<br/><br/>Perhaps a little more service once our food and drinks had arrived would have been welcome - there was certainly a possibility to sell another two coffees had we been asked. <br/><br/>Overall, it's a really nice place in a part of Reservoir that is crying out for it. Well done.<br/><br/>First Visit: Arrived (admittedly in the middle of Sunday morning rush hour) for a quick solo brunch, and was shown to a seat on the window bench. Unfortunately I can't report on the food - after sitting for ten minutes with zero attention from the waitstaff, I decided to give it a miss.<br/><br/>It wasn't so much for want of waitstaff effort - they kept rushing by with full hands - but more so for want of decent organisation up front, or more staff (or both). <br/><br/>As a quick aside, the place was playing loud rock music - it might be a favourite of whoever's iPod was on shuffle, but doesn't go well in a large space with hard, echo-producing surfaces - in all truth, it doesn't go well in cafe/restaurants in general. It also added a little to the generally chaotic vibe. <br/><br/>The place was absolutely rammed, so they are clearly doing something right - but it would have been nice to find out.
Carm
Great food and nice atmosphere. Lots of variety in the menu for both food and drinks. Really enjoyed the breakfast bowl, fresh, tasty, and filling.
Stef Louise
Love the food and the vegan options! Wait staff and coffees are usually quick but the kitchen can be a bit slow. <br/><br/>Try the vegan fried egg if you go!
Erin Rusic
This is probably the 10th time here and they never fail to disappoint! Always amazing service that’s fast and friendly, drinks come almost straight away and the food not long after which is always beautiful! I think I’ve tried almost everything on the menu but my favourites would be the; granola, stay gold, Malibu mash and the sycamore burger all paid with a fresh orange and watermelon juice.
Mr Burns
Have been here a few times, the food is ok but everytime it has been such a long wait for our order to arrive, with one time them completely forgetting our order altogether. Won't be back.
Aneta N
This is by far one of my favourite local cafes. I’ve been a handful of times and tried a few things on the menu. There are so many healthy options which suits my tastes perfectly! Smoothies, breakfast, lunch, burgers, coffee... everything you could want to eat really!<br/><br/>The staff members are genuinely friendly and accommodating. I often take my laptop and do work here and they always seat me near a power point.<br/><br/>I just keep coming back for more!
Kris Nescovski
After hearing good things I was left disappointed. Didn’t enjoy the vibe, food, or coffee. Seems to be doing good however as it was super busy.

I’ve been to Sycamore Meadows twice now. Heard about this place and had to try it out. Cool fit out and pram friendly if you have children as well! The staff were so attentive and friendly and the food delicious. My son loved the kids menu and the crayons that come with it as well. Kept him busy colouring in the picture. I recommend the southern fried chicken burger with the delicious golden bbq sauce ! The ancient grains is a tasty healthy option as well. I will definitely be back for the great food and coffee and attentive and friendly service !

The experience just wasn’t there for me. I have heard great reviews of this place but I didn’t experience that on my visit. Food was average and nothing to rave about but saying this it was well presented, service was mediocre.

So on a relaxed Saturday a friend from work & I decided to bed to sycamore meadows for brunch after driving past it daily. We arrived around 10am & although it was busy, it wasn’t a full house. We were promptly seated but that is pretty much where the service ended. It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our orders, even for coffees. And then after a further 5 minutes we finally got some water. <br/>From the time it took to order, it took 40 minutes to get a coffee. My friend got hers, but I was then told the waitress had spilt a bit of my coffee on the saucer so she would go back & make another for me. 20 minutes after this and still no coffee. I’d attempted to get the attention of staff who would either ignore me or smile & continue on. It took my friend literally going up to the counter to ask about the coffee, to which the waitress stated “oh ok make it now for you”. When I finally received the coffee it was burnt & didn’t even get an apology for the wait or a thank you for being patient. I was tempted to send it back but after waiting about an hour for a standard latte, I wasn’t liking my chances of getting another. It was at this point my friend begged me to leave but I was adamant we would ride it out. <br/>The food came after over an hour and 15 minutes of being in the cafe. Was tasty but nothing amazing. By this point my friend & I just wanted out as we felt as though we had been ignored since arriving. <br/>It’s a shame the service is so horrid, as this cafe has some great menu items & cool vibes.

Quiet Tuesdays ... not on weekends ...<br/><br/>The way I like it .... I was by myself at around 12:45 lunchtime in this warm modern cafe ... tradies were working outside could be the reason ... not on weekend though, always packed, got my take away latte after a long queue one Saturday ago.<br/><br/>This time I ordered their scrumptious wholesome 8/10 $17.00 smashed Avocado ... sorry ... Malibu Mashed in their lingo ... it comes with Sunflower sprouts and Pepita seeds :-) ... how I wish it had another poached egg ... it was lonely for the other multigrain loaded with avos ...<br/><br/>No pour over, just credible l8/10 $3.50 atte, a combo of St Ali Orthodox blend and La Marzocco espresso machine, there are still good credible lattes under $4.00 or even $3.80.<br/><br/>Thank God ... a few more diners and take away patrons did strolled in later, otherwise it will be awkward getting all the attention from these two lovely geared waitresses ... :-)<br/><br/>Not a quiet Tuesday no more ... always great to have a bit of atmosphere in this spacious modern cafe. Nice cafe, one of the new comers to the area. Great welcome and staff. Lots of space, which is unusual these days. <br/>Large and diverse selection on the menu. Coffee was good not great. The trout was fantastic- had it with the Malibu Mash. <br/>Been a couple of times and will go again.

Great coffee. Great matcha. Great food. Great service.<br/><br/>I get my takeaway coffee here pretty much everyday. The crew are all awesome. The foods great too and love the selection.

went on a saturday and understandably busy. it was ridiculously loud from everyone. could not talk to the person opposite you comfortably, really bad noise acoustics in the cafe'. waited about 1 hour for eggs and a burger which was avs.. which was frustrating. would defiantly have coffee there again, coffee was great. not the food though.
Sym
Love this place ..the coffee was great👍🏽👍🏽 the Malibu Mash and L.A Hot Cakes were delicious . 🌟 very very reasonably priced and the service was top notch . <br/>We will definitely be back 😍

A delicious new local cafe with a high quality food offering and very good coffee. They also offer 50 cents off takeaways if you bring your keep cup - very environmentally friendly 👏🏼👏🏼

Great menu 👌 Lovely staff ☺️ Good coffee ☕️ The brekky burrito with pulled pork was the shiznit, last visit. The Malibu mash with smoked trout didn’t disappoint this time round. Good to see Reservoir coming up with the goods!

Had this place bookmarked recently after reading about it on Zomato and I was excited. I haven’t been to this part of Reservoir before so I was keen to try a new cafe. <br/><br/>Initially I received the most lovely welcome and greeting, and I felt very special hahaha<br/><br/>They have some excellent food here, and I’m going back to get some lunch. I was told that they do all day breakfast and lunch yay!! <br/><br/>I had a double shot skinny latte which was quite good and made w St Ali coffee. This cafe looks like it could be an inner city cafe, and it was spotlessly clean (even the toilet). <br/><br/>It’s almost opposite a lake so you can grab some food and a coffee and relax. I highly recommend this place if your up this way in the northern suburbs.
Mary-mia Ioculano
Awesome place, very welcoming and its new and has a very Modern decor. Had there sycamore burger it was absolutely delicious and love the thick and very tasty chips. They have a large array fresh fruit juices also a large variety of coffees and teas. Large variety of cakes as well. Reasonably priced. They serve breakfast and lunch. Absolutely recommend this place will go again.

What a delight! <br/>Perched on a hill over looking the city, SM is the perfect brekkie/lunch spot. <br/>The coffee is great, food devine and the people that make it happen are nothing short of legendary. <br/><br/>P.S try the fried poached eggs.

Amazing food and great atmosphere. Staff were super friendly. Went for a work breakfast with a large group and food came out quickly. Will be making sycamore my new local for sure!

Great venue for group breakfast. Food and service was first class in modern, clean and spacious venue. Also grab a pastries on the way out to eat later.

Visited today on a recommendation from a family member, and WOW. This is the first cafe in Reservoir we’ve found with a inner city feel. Great coffee especially latte with coconut milk.<br/>Food wise we had the soft shell crab tacos which were amazing, one crab per taco. Also had the Avo & Haloumi which was incredible with the ash mayo, avo salsa and crumb. <br/>Just over $40 for three coffees and two dishes, great value and we’ll definitely be back!

Came across this place after having a test done up the road. Light filled and friendly staff welcomed us is. Yummy looking sweets greeted us. Menu was vast and most of it sounded delicious. I had the granola which apart from needing slightly more yogurt, was delicious. Hubby had the breakfast burrito which was so big he couldn't finish it. I also had the relax juice which was AMAZING.

Sycamore Meadow is just what this part of Reser needed. I have lived in the area for 10 years and finally I don't have to get in my car to get a decent coffee.
Fiona
The food was delicious. However we have never experienced such rude waiting staff.<br/>The service was disgusting.<br/>Despite the great food we won't be returning.

New and beautiful breakfast spot in Reservoir. I had the mushroom medley which came with a vegan egg, and was absolutely delicious. Paired with great coffee and friendly service, I had a wonderful time. Will be back!

The BEST scrambled eggs, excellent service and the place is always clean. Im a chef and the l.a hotcakes with bacon with maple syrup vanilla bean ice cream is the BEST Ive ever had. I love this place. The wait is sometimes a little longer on sat am but Id rather wait and get something thats cooked properly than a rushed meal. There are a few cafes in rezzie but truely this is the place to come.

Love this new Reservoir lil secret. Prefect brunch place in the north, caters for vegans too! Atmosphere and staff are amazing! Also reasonably priced 👌🏽

D E L I C I O U S. Fabulous new cafe in Reservoir with really good coffee and food. I had the fried poached eggs. Very filling. Staff are very friendly and interact with the customers, which is just as important as good food / coffee. Great ambiance. This local has now become my morning go to for my coffee fix.

Thank you to Gary and his team for a welcome addition to the Reservoir area with this gem of a place..<br/><br/>You have gotten the balance of great coffee, nice food, on point fit out and family friendly down to a tee. <br/><br/>The St Ali coffee , WOW WOW WOW.<br/><br/>Put simply a great vibe cafe not trying to be 'hipster cool' or 'foodie snobs' like so many new cafes do and for that I'm a return customer. <br/><br/>Keep up the good work I no longer need to drive to Northcote, Fitzroy or Brunswick for a great place to eat and drink

Sooo good! Felt like something sweet so I order the hotcakes with fresh fruit, so yummy! Coffee is great too! The place is really stylish and welcoming. Very spacious and there's plenty of room for prams too, which makes it easy for parents with little children. Lovely atmosphere, great job sycamore meadows! And Stay gold!

Wow!!! So glad Reservoir finally has a place like this! The food was absolutely AMAZING (been there a few of times and it catered for what I was feeling like each time). The service was exceptional. It is likely I will be here most weekends 😊

Great coffee (finally in this part of Reservoir). The crab tacos were fantastic. Great balance of flavours and not oily from the deep frying. My partner got the Sycamore burger which he found satisfying but a touch on the sweet side. We will be back. Great menu to choose from.

Exciting new addition to this up-and-coming pocket of Reservoir. Stopped in for a takeaway coffee and got a great long black. The interior is so cool and stylish and the staff seem really friendly. Gorgeous neon sign against polished concrete wall. Can't wait to come back and check out the food. I've got a good feeling it's going to be epic! The layout seems pram friendly too, which is a big bonus. Welcome to the neighborhood!
