Love the pho
Add chili and sauces to your taste. The spring rolls are really nice wrapped in lettuce leaves. Good flavor and dinner for 2 under $30 ( 2 courses ) complimentary green tea at each table and BYO for alcohol
Just had lunch the soup steak and chicken combination was to die for. My daughter had chicken cold slaw...she has tried this everywhere and said "this the best she has ever eaten " we will return often. The prices and staff great. Thank you so so much

Been having Hien's soup at her first business 25 years ago and then followed her soup to I Pho when they moved... Friends travel from all over Australia to go here... without a doubt, the best Pho in Australia (vigorously tested)
Beautiful food, especially the pho of course, and quick service. Popular place with lines at dinner time, but you really don't have to wait for long.
Pho is the fam fav, and this place is loved by all!! Service is always spot on

Yummy I'll come back here again friendly and service is good 👍🏼
Best Pho in Victoria Street hands down. Service is amazing - we eat here way too much
Best Vietnamese Foods and fresh chilli is spicy and hot like me
The soup was just nice. The potion was really good for 2 persons
Best pho in Melbourne we travel from way out east to spoil ourselves
One of the absolute best! The Vietnamese coleslaw OMG YUM!!!
Great food, great service and great price.
Everyone here is super lovely, come here most Sundays for dinner and it is always perfect. Keep up the good work team!
This was my first time at I Love Pho and it was amazing! The staff were really friendly and did not pressure us to order quickly. I ordered a Medium Sliced Beef Pho and I certainly did not leave hungry. The serving size was more than adequate and the pho itself was delicious. It was the perfect combination of a rich, wholesome broth, fresh, crunchy bean sprouts, juicy, thin slices of beef and a very careful helping of fresh chili. Overall, a terrific dining experience that was enhanced by the comfortable, homely feel of the interior. Will definitely be coming back to try out the other pho options!
Visited here for my first meal out after lockdown. I’d never been before and will admit it’s definitely not my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the area, but it was a pretty pleasant experience. I ordered the spring roll bun cha which was super fresh and affordably priced and generous with the spring rolls. Service was quick and friendly. There aren’t many veg options so I’m not sure if I’d visit again but my meat eating friends seemed to enjoy themselves.
Always great Pho. Well priced & good sizes. My go to pho place on vic street. Fast delivery too when using uber eats
This is the best and freshest Vietnamese food I have tried in 42 years in Melbourne. I was very pleasantly surprised. The place is normal but clean. I will go back and I can certainly recommend it.
The spring roll with prawns is quite delicious and I could not forget the taste of it. Have it with the cabbage, you will know what I mean for that. The beef pho soup tastes good , but I think maybe the noodle is a bit soft and over cooked for me.
Had my first ox tail pho here, it was lovely and came out quick! The spring rolls were great too, they came out with your regular dipping sauce and lettuce but was missing my favourite standard side of mint!
One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants to go to. Authentic Vietnamese food at extremely cheap prices. Staff are always friendly and serve is quick!
This shop has a wonderful pho with a very affordable price tag! So worth your every dollar! Get the spring rolls too, vegetarian pork and prawns are all so good I can’t pick my favourite one!
The only Vietnamese restaurant in Melbourne that I go to when I crave some good pho. Broth is decent, not to MSG-heavy like other restaurants that make me thirsty all the time. Few times it is a bit too fatty. Lots of noodles and meat. Friendly staff and efficient service.
I am a fan of good pho and my quest for finding good hos in Melbourne led me to this place. It was really busy when I went there. We were quickly seated on our table and were handed the menus. I have to say that the menu was really simple and easy to understand. It was not one of those which will confuse you by giving you 100s of options.
We ordered Pork spring rolls, Sliced chicken pho, and shredded chicken pho. You can order the pho in 3 sizes small, medium and large which will cost $12, $13 and $14 respectively. The large pho is really large and I loved it.
Let's talk about the spring rolls first. They were really crunchy on the outside and the meat was good inside. They came with lettuce and basil leaves. You wrap the spring rolls in the lettuce and add basil leaves in there and dip it in the fish sauce. It is just amazing. You should definitely try it out.
Now the Pho, It was really good, the flavor of the soup was nice and the noodles had a nice texture. But I think the soup lacked a little bit of richness. The sliced chicken in the bowl was with bone so it was really juicy and soft and had a very nice flavor.
I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to have a good pho, but at the same time I would say that a little bit of richness in the soup would take it to one of the best in Melbourne.
Would come here on my lunch break. Quick and comforting lunch with a big bowl of noodle soup. Service is efficient and quick which is what I need for a short lunch break
went to I love pho for a quick bowl 🍲
DO NOT GET THE BUN BO HUE
was not a fan at all however my boyfriend got the beef pho and the broth was full of flavour
The old man who was serving was so cute and friendly his customer service is top notch 🙈☺️

Quite like I Love Pho because of its simplicity. The food is pretty good with the pho not bad. The spring rolls are nice and tasty and cater for vegetarians. Portion sizes pretty good and recommend you go for a large size as it's excellent value for money. Fresh and quick.
Prices are reasonable. They prefer cash over credit card, which many of the restaurants on this block do. ATM's aren't far away.
Kids welcome.Takeaway menu available. Dietaries catered for - to a point!
Wheelchair and disability friendly. Parking - well it’s just off Victoria Street - do your best as it can be challenging. Although good public transport with train and tram right on the doorstep.
This place was awesome. Authentic pho with great sides and a wicked ice coffee kampung style. The service was fast and friendly. The price was cheap
What else can you ask for. Thank you
As the name suggests the Pho is fantastic and highly recommend. Haven't tried anything else from this place. Price is reasonable. 140 characters
The broth is very flavourful, but a bit too salty for me. But once you add the lime juice and herbs it helps balancing out the saltiness. Could have been 5 stars if they could tone down the salt 👍
Came by this Vietnamese restaurant for lunch and had the special beef noodles with spring rolls...
The soup was really tasty and the spring rolls were decent as well.. one highlight of the meal was the chilli oil that they served up, it isn’t the regular chilli oil that you will find in most restaurants.. I believe that they add onions and shrimp to make it tastier..
I always go here when I'm craving for pho. They have super friendly staff and fast service too. Truly a good value for money. Wouldn't mind waiting for a table whenever it's full! Truly a taste of Vietnam 😊
Vietnamese restaurants are a dime a dozen on Victoria Street but I Love Pho is a few notches ahead of the pack.
Service was warm and friendly. The food came out quite quickly on a trolley, which prevented any untoward accidents.
The broken rice with grilled chicken was fresh, generous and tasty. The chicken was still warm so you know it was freshly prepared. The spring rolls were 5 stars all the way - they were crispy, full of prawns and of a good size. The bun bo hue was moderately spicy and the noodles were cooked perfectly.
This place confirmed for me that I still love pho...any day, any time!
Really enjoyed the chicken pho here. Its flavourful and light at the same time. A nice change from beef pho. The Vermicelli with rolls my partner had was really bland though. Probably best to stick to pho.
Is an institution! No-one does Pho like this place (except maybe their Melbourne Central location). I love this place as much as I love Pho. Highly recommended!
I frequent the area a lot and it never crossed my mind to check out this place. Not one to order pho outside of home so I ordered something different - Saigon Beef Steak! It came out sizzling on a hot plate along with a fried egg, a bread roll and a salad. I actually quite enjoyed it. If you’re going to try it please don’t be expecting A grade steak like meat and wine Co style. For its price it’s pretty cheap and quite tasty. I also ordered an avocado smoothie. Instead of telling us there were no more avocados, they went out and bought some for us. Now that’s what you call service! Was pretty satisfied with my meal. No complaints.
I thought this place was great. I ordered the sliced beef pho which was absolutely delicious. Good deep flavour and near perfect with added bean shoots, chilli and mint. Good value for the price too. Overall, a happy experience.
This place is solid! I have been twice and have been satisfied both times. I have tried a few pho places so far and this has been the nicest to taste or at least equally as good as the others. The value for money is also great and you get adjust your portion size to your appetite (there are small, medium and large options).
Food comes out quick. There was a wait when I went at lunch time on a weekend but it wasn't very long, less than 10 minutes. Service is nothing fancy but not bad.If you get chicken, I personally recommend the boneless (shredded) chicken rather than the chopped (which has bones).
Definitely a good place to go eat Pho if you want to try one of the best in Melbourne. It is up there with several other Vietnamese restaurants, however it lacks some variety.
Great spring roll vermincelli! Always super fresh, and the spring rolls might be the best on Victoria Street. :) always visit this place when I’m in the area.
Best pho for your buck! And the best grilled beef rice paper rolls.
Up until I came to I Love Pho, I had only ever had rice paper rolls that had been made cold because they sit in the display fridges. I had never had fresh rice paper rolls where the grilled beef was still warm, and wrapped in cold fresh salad and vermicelli. It’s delicious! Absolutely the best I have ever had.
The waiters here remember you even if you have only been here a couple times and are quick to get you anything you ask.
Try coming in on a weeknight for dinner and catch them when they aren’t too busy.

If your after a bowl of Pho, then this is the place !
I have been coming to I love Pho for over 5 years. Service is quick ! The Ingredients are always fresh ! I always order beef and veggies
I am obsessed with I Love Pho. I eat here anywhere between 2-4 times per week. It's so quick, cheap and healthy that you really can't go wrong. A total institution.
Amazing pho!!! I ordered the pho chay (pho with tofu and vegetables) in the small size and was just delicious. The size is still fairly large in my opinion and made me very full, but in the good way. The vegetables in the pho along with with the side of basil and beansprouts are all fresh and healthy. The tofu has a nice texture and flavour too (not too mushy and decent sizes).
All of my friends seemed to enjoy their dishes too. And the tea they served was amazing. Only downfall was the staff are a little rude and impatient, and the actual restaurant isn't exactly the cleanest.
But definitely recommend this place for some good pho.
This place is a must-try if you are a big fan of pho (Vietnamese rice noodles soup).
I would recommend the special combination beef as it contains beef slices, tendons, briskets etc.
If you do love beef (just beef, not the other parts), then sliced beef would be a great option for you!
And don't worry, if you are not so much a beef person, there are shredded chicken and vegetarian options too!
We would usually add on their fried spring rolls as our sides (the prawn ones are really yumms)! You can try them out too :)
Fresh! Had the tofu and veggie pho and the spring rolls. Very filling meal! I would come back here for my pho fix & some of the salads sound really yummy too!
My 2nd pho in Melbourne. I had traditional pho with special beef toppings. There were 3 servings, asked the server how big is the medium and she said (kinda rudely) “Enough for you..” I ended up leaving more than half of the noodle cause it was a bit too much (for me). She could have at least showed me the bowl.. well, but that lady server was kinda rude to everyone.
But the pho was great. I love the broth! Toppings were plenty, from sliced beef to intestine, all tasted really good. I asked for extra barleys and the other server (not the rude lady) gave me another plate of it.
It doesn’t have the normal chilly oil sauce though, the one it has was a nutty one (kind of sweet).
I will definitely revisit (and order the small serving) :).

Pleasinginly cleanest Pho restaurant I’ve been into in a long time! Quick to be served and food arrived within 10 minutes. Pho was delicious and a generous serve for the price. Only criticism is the service... the waiter was a little abrupt when taking our order but very typical for a pho restaurant. Genuinely enjoyed our experience and will return again
Really great pho, same chain as the one in the emporium located in the city. The only disappointment was that they charged extra for the ox tail which I wasn't aware of as the one in the city was free. Overall good quick cheap pho 👍🏼
Richmond institution, love coming here for some quick and easy eats with some friends.
While the pho can be hit and miss they have without a doubt the best spring rolls in Melbourne.
Can't wait to come back.
This place gets a 5/5 from me every time. Haha. Delicious pho and broken rice, sugar cane juice is actually available, and quick service with a smile!
Hoping to get onto that wall of Fame of theirs one day, wonder if it’s a speed or volume of pho ingested type thing.
Will continue to investigate ⭐️🍜 Place is amazing.
Pho here is great - and huge! I got the vegetarian option with tofu. Nice clean broth. Always busy. You go here for the food, don’t expect anything from the fit out.
Very good food quality and size.
If you want a nice and filling dinner on a cold night in Melbourne just go there!
Try to book in advance or go after 8.30pm
I love pho. I went for quick lunch. It is nothing special but it also not bad too. It was kind of average. But it was good for quick lunch. If staff was smile, it will be much better:)
I do not love pho. I'd actually go so far as to say I loathe it so when a friend organised dinner here I was intending to eat other things off the menu eg rice paper rolls which fortunately they had. A cheap casual eat for sure but not really my scene. I lovvved the dipping sauces though. A yummy vibrant sauce with the spring rolls which were delicious wrapped in the fresh lettuce and a thicker sweeter one that was paired with the rice paper rolls which had yummy aromatic herbs in it. This is the type of Vietnamese food I enjoy eating
A more hip branding for a pho place. I still prefer the other pho restaurants along Victoria street. The pho is not bad but not great... more options down the road
The name and I already share something in common 🤤, I love pho.
Great value for money, it's only +$1 to go from a small to medium. I got the medium special pho and barely finished, generous meat compared to other places.
Coffee was also refreshing, although it's not the special drip Vietnamese coffee.
Would def come again.

The thing I hate about Pho is the use of massive amounts of fish sauce and MSG. I usually get very thirsty after downing a bowl of Pho and it doesn't matter how many cups of water you drink, it does nothing to quench your thirst.
I was pleasantly surprised after downing a large bowl of Pho at I Love Pho on a cold Melbourne night that I didn't experience the effects of the dreaded MSG mouth! It was a very pleasant experience, considering they do not use MSG in their broth, it tasted great! Will be back here again.
If you love pho this is the place to go! It's really good value for money and the broth was so flavoursome. The spring rolls were pretty standard though and there was no alcohol available.
Favorite pho so far in Melbourne and Sydney!
Really nice beef both raw and brisket.
4.5 because I haven't tried anything else so I can't say about the other items.
But good pho. They have 3 sizes S, M & L.
Excellent pho, I'd recommend the special combination. Soup broth is excellent and flavourful. Service is abrupt as you'd expect from an Asian eatery.
Verdict: Vietnamese ruby
I love pho serves up delicious Asian cuisine. Something for everyone. The beef pho is delicious but sometimes can be hit or miss. I've had it here ateast 20 times... My personal favourite is the chicken laksa. Ask for seafood in it!
Quick easy and delicious food! Went with a group of friends and had such a great lunch. Certainly bang for your buck. Service was great,We will all be back.
Simple, clean flavours. We had takeaway and can highly recommend the Pho and dumplings. Friendly and helpful service. Great value for money 😄
We tried the broken rice meal with chicken, three color drink, pho with rare beef, and the veggie rice rolls. The pho was average for me (which is not necessarily a bad thing). It wasn't the best broth on Victoria Avenue, but not the blandest I've had. The broth was lightly seasoned and aromatic, but I found that I wanted more flavour so I put lots of chilli and sauces in. The chicken In the broken rice dish was nice and crispy, with a perfectly cooked egg. I was surprised at how good the veggie rice roll and sauce were. The shredded carrot added flavour and texture and made them seem more substantial. The service was quick and efficient.
Not bad pho, but not the best. Pho broth was not as strong as some other places, but still solid pho. Will probably go to other places along the street
Another pho option in Victoria street. It's a good pho... yes but not remarkable. Flavoursome broth and good beef. The quantity is smaller than their competitors.
Long time diner first time reviewer.
This is one of my favourite pho places. They started doing pho and spring rolls only, and now they also do broken rice and a couple of other dishes. Their pho always hits the spot. Piping hot, tasty soup base, full of flavours and comes with all the trimmings. One of few places where pho comes in three difference sizes. I personally find small is usually enough for me.
A good joint with clean and simple fixtures. Toward the end of the st near church street. Quite popular on a Sunday actually! But still able go get a table.
Service was quick. Perhaps too quick? Got 2 special pho which came with the lot. Didnt ask us what size so we automatically got a medium! Thankgod i was hungry!! Broth was good. Clear with plenty of meat like tribes, meatballs, slice beef etc. Very similar to any other you can get along the street though. $11-13 dependant on size.
Lil issue w service from the younger girl, no smile or acknowledgement. Asked for fresh chile and she gave us an empty table next door leftover one? Huh?
We also got the soda egg drink and an avacado smoothie. The smoothie was a whopping $5! And that was a major letdown. Full of sugar and way tooo watery. Did not taste the avacado esp for the $$$! Could have gone and got myself a bubble cup wahhh..
Would i go back? Perhaps not and try the others along the street... also its an extra 50cent using cards!! Whatever limit...
My gosh this was better than I expected! My partner loves pho , I'm not that keen on pho . I had other dishes to make up for not eating pho . Thus I'm no pho expert . My partner loves a certain place in Springvale which shall remain nameless . Which we enjoy going to . However this place trumps food wise . Service is a little sterile , however it's turn over is very quick and there no time for too much chit chat . Go eat and get out .
I Love Pho 264 is everything a pho place should be: Delicious, cheap, quick, and with questionable spelling on internal advertising.
This is our go-to pho joint in Melbourne, and we judge all other (inferior) pho's against that from I Love Pho 264.
Seriously, if you haven't been yet you're really missing out.
Equal best Pho in Victoria Street (along with Hung Vuong II at the opposite end of the street). Clean, consistent, delicate broth with well cooked noodles and all the fresh trimmings. Lovely staff led by the friendly and lovely Hien who is known as Mumma Pho by her loyal customers. This place is perfect, I wouldn't change anything.
One of the more popular pho joints in Richmond. A good serving of pho that wont cost you much more than ten dollars. Menu is limited so if you're not after pho best to go to another place.
Impressed. Yumm! Staff very helpful. Good location. One of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Richmond - and there are obviously alot to choose from. Clean and tidy too.
One of my favorites and top place for Vietnamese noodles. Generally comes out extremely hot with a delicious broth and generous serving of meat. Service is subpar but then again it's not a five star restaurant.
Who doesnt love this Pho joint? We have been coming here almost every weekend when we were living in Richmond. My favo is special beef with clear noodles ( vermicelli noodles) . The soup is the bomb!
The price is very reasonable, service is just average, tho sometimes we need to make sure they got our ordered right 😋
One of my favorite Phõ place, the Pandan tea was so special. Stunning Phõ stock and the tender slice beef, and chicken, always satisfied my picky taste.
Clean and modern after the moving. Some hits and misses but never fails most of the time.
Portion size was small for my last visit and broth was watery. Haven't been back for a while due to the inconsistency.
I have been here weekly for a while and the food is quick and never disappoints! The food is simple yet delish and my favourite dish would have to be the Noodle Soup!
Long queue but sat down in 25mins. Ordered 3 different type of phos - special, tripe and jus normal beef and fried pawn spring rolls. Although price was good, It didn't taste superiorly different from average Vietnamese phos. Very busy place. But all around I thought it was rather average.
Straight to it, we'll balanced broth although a bit of the lighter side. I asked for the oxtail which was a little tough than it should be, but asked for the chicken liver and heart as well which was delish. The fact they actually offer this on the menu are kudos in itself. My eating partner had the brisket pho and it was flawless. Above par, authentic place for pho.
I love pho and I love this place! Seriously good pho 🍲. This restaurant is always packed hence booking may be your best best. Lots of places to have pho in Richmond, this is the best.
Cosy, unsophisticated environment with a family type setup. Decor and interior is simple but this is fine as we are here for the pho! We we're hungry and ordered the large now which resembled a small swimming pool😂 needless to say we didn't go home hungry. Pho was heart warming and flavorful. An array of these unimposing, traditional Vietnamese restaurants are available on Richmond Street and it is definitely worth th short bus ride out of central Melbourne in order to get a taste for the local experience. I had the chicken pho noodles which were very good.
What would you ask for?! It's valued for money, price is bargain and fast service.
I always love the broth here which nice flavor and delicious. Spring rolls is great too. Recommend prawns spring rolls which always hot and fresh.
29 December 2016: A master chef took me to this place for a second time. We had beef pho and spring rolls. We asked for the raw beef slices to be served to us on a plate separately from the bowl of broth. This way our beef wouldn't be over-cooked. The mint leaves were fresh and clean, so were the bean sprouts. Everything was done to perfection. And the iced Vietnamese coffee was outstanding.
Really a good place. My friend and I came here to have lunch today after IKEA trip. I ordered special beef pho. The soup was extremely good! I think it'll be better if waitresses are more friendly, cuz their face looked like we own them something which made we feel not that comfortable.
Very attentive staff members and has great customer service. The restaurant is quite clean. However, the pho noodles is undercooked. The vietnamese drink is very flavourful and is one of the best I have tried. Overall experience was pleasurable
When there’s seemingly dozens of restaurants serving the same dish in the same street, in one of the most Vietnamese-populated communities in Melbourne, you really gotta have something going for it to be consistently busy. I Love Pho brings one of the best pho games around with great pricing, consistent quality and the freshest of ingredients that keeps these crowds lingering. Victoria Street is no doubt dense in eating options and I do rate I Love Pho amongst the best in the area.
Finally get to try I LOVE PHO!!
The noodles are elastic and "Q", they are kind of special than other noodles that I had it before
I really enjoyed it:)
My first exposure to the real Vietnamese food. Really liked the concept of Pho, healthy, light on stomach and tasty. Unfortunately don't have any vegetarian options but a delight for non vegetarians.
I ordered special chicken, for a dollar extra, got all the exotic organs which I am not a big fan of but the Pho was good
Came here for their phó and it doesn't disappoint me! If you are going on a food hunt then you should order a medium pho to share and also try out their rice paper roll! Their dipping sauce is delicious too😋
Absolutely love this Vietnamese place! It's so fresh and Delish! If your hungry and dying of starvation this place will not disappoint!
I've had the vego spring rolls, vego pho and chicken pho - I preferred the chicken pho as the juice had more flavour than what the vego had!
Either way it's a great place to eat!
This is my favourite pho place. Visit it at at least once a week. If you dare try the #1 which is chicken beef combination with offals it's is the best.
Pho was a bit more salty than most other pho restaurants. The broken rice has to be the worst broken rice possible as the rice tasted so dry. However, the rolls were delicious@
Filling yummy soup goodness!!! Cannot beat the tradition pho, special beef and chicken. Always a a tasty surprise biting into a chicken heart a liver.
Busy place with good quality Pho. Good for a quick cheap eat with friends . Very casual dining and great waiting staff that make you feel very welcome
$13 for a bowl of tasty brisket pho with egg noodles. It took me 25 minutes to eat and came with a free thermos of tea and a plate of bean sprouts and basil. Fantastic value.
Delicious pho place on Victoria St. A steaming bowl costs from 10 to 12 dollars depending on whether you want a small, medium or large serving. By no means is it polished or classy, but you will walk out full and satisfied.
We go here at least twice every week and we Love it! Quick, easy and super cheap! Parking is a breeze- I've never once seen an inspector in Richmond (seriously), and I've never even bought a ticket!
My favorite meal in this restaurant is rare beef and tendon soup noodle. I love the fresh lemon, chili and mint that go with the noodle. The taste can make you addictive to it.
Regular place to smash some awesome Pho. Avoid the small for an extra dollar the bowl is much bigger. For the chop stick challenged I find my table sometimes has a fork shortage.
Delicious pho. Exactly like the one I get from Springvale. Meat tender. Soup full of flavour. Pickled onions were cut very thick and not pickled long enough. That's my only negative!
From the very first time I've been there (after reading Rachel Khoo's recommendation in a newsletter) till now, I've never been disappointed with their food. They serve the best beef brisket unlike others out there, which are often tough. The broth is just nice without tasting like MSG, and the noodles are silky smooth. I always bring my family and friends to this place because they are consistently good.
Love this place.. Combination of sliced rare beef pho with prawn spring rolls are the bomb!
The soup is full of flavour, come with lots of meat, and quick service. I personally love their soup since they are not as sweet in comparison to other vietnamese noodle places.
Service is really poor. Difficult to even get a menu when you sit down. Then the next challenge is for someone to take your order. So how is the Pho? It's actually really good. It tastes fresh and only costs $11. Disappointing that the service is the let down but that's not why you eat Pho.
The pho here is so good! Very good servings at good prices. The rice paper rolls are yummy too - I like their dipping sauce. Service is pretty quick too.
I'm a convert! This stuff is amazing! Had never had Pho before and all i can say is what a fab introduction! Quick service, delish food and cosy surrounds. Good stuff!

Pho, regardless of how you chose to pronounce this, is one of those addictive dish that I can’t seem to get enough off. There are a couple Vietnamese eateries in Auckland that I swear by, but I’m always looking for new places to try. In a Melbourne suburb dominated by Vietnamese eateries, I Love Pho stood out as one of the busiest. Yet, like plenty of restaurants owned by Asians, it’s one of those no thrills, eat then get out type of places, so tables are readily available.
Jam packed at lunch time is always a good sign. I love pho delivers to all pho lovers. A few at the table ordered the Saigon beef steak dish for $17, while not as cheap as your usual pho dish it's actually great value for a plate of tender juicy steak, a plate of salad and a small crusty roll which you can fill yourself. Kind of like making your own banh mi with all the condiments on the table. I opted for a medium beef pho which was delicious. I felt that perhaps there were less noodles than I normally get in Footscray pho spots however I was still left feeling full. The Saigon beef steak was really excellent if you don't feel like pho.
Awesome Pho, probably the best I've had in Melbourne. The broth is full of flavour, with just the right amount of seasoning and spices. The service is good and the value fantastic - I dare you to finish a "train" size bowl!
There's always been 2 pho places in Victoria Street that I visited - Pho Chu The (one of my favourites but the longest walk) and Pho Hung Vuong 2. On Christmas Day there were always going to be limited eating options, but the reliable Asian work ethic means Victoria Street is as good as any (and apparently why the Jews in America all eat Chinese food for Christmas).
What can l say? We love Pho. If you are looking for genuine Vietnamese soup this place is great. A little more expensive than the multitude of other Pho places un the street but more than good value. Very fresh herbs as well bought to the table.
Our favourite pho joint in Melbourne hands down. My favourite is the beef and brisket noodle soup. The broth is so flavoursome and the garnish fresh. The missus loves having vermicelli instead of noodles in her pho and surprisingly not all pho place does this!
Been coming here for years. The pho is delicious, cheap and well portioned, even the vegetarian pho is full of flavour. Also worth trying the spring rolls and rice paper rolls, never tried such good vegetarian spring rolls till one day I ordered them from here.
One of the best pho i had have in my life. Cheap eat with big portion. Their rice paper rolls were great too. Tried their three colours drink for the first time. Yum!
This is the often touted "best pho in Melbourne", sadly i would have to disagree... but not by much! (i prefer a beefier spicier broth)Definitely this is a place that should be a regular stop for any true Melbourne pho aficionado.
What's not to love? The pho is good, darn good. The chicken pho broth is clean and sweet and the beef has good favour and remains light and not too salty.
In all honesty it's rare I find bad pho on Victòria Street so it's hard to set I Love Pho apart, but it's certainly a place I got back to regularly.
Been going here for a few years. Really good, quality, cheap pho! Broth is flavorful and they're really generous on their portion size. A negative about this place is that they tend to forget your drinks.
Delicious pho - its good old simple pho served fast with no frills. Booking is recommended because the restaurant fills up quick especially at dinner.
My friend loves pho. She said she can eat it 3 times a day so you could just imagine her excitement when I dragged her to check this place out. We both ordered the beef pho. I must say it sure was delicious!!! The broth was really tasty. I will definitely come back again to check out the other pho.
Pho is common in Melbourne and you can get in most suburbs. Simply put, this is the best chicken Pho you will get in Melbourne. Standard price of about 10-11 dollars but you get plenty of chicken. The best part is the broth is not too salty. A big plus is also that it's a very clean restaurant which can't be said about other Pho restaurants.
Only (very small) negative is that it can occasionally take some time to pay for your meal. As the lady behind the counter is taking phone orders and collecting cash from customers at the same time.
Just a tip....you can get a tram or park down the back streets. This part of Victoria can get a bit sketchy so if dodgy people make you nervous come for lunch rather than dinner.
Service √
Ambience √
Food √ Very Yummy, but no wow factor today.
Price √ Very reasonable.
We had the Pho and spring rolls.
The soup was very tasty. The meat was nice. The homemade satay sauce added nice spice and flavour.
For me the spring rolls were perfect, but not everyone on our table agreed. For me the taste, texture, size, dipping sauces and the lettuce were exactly how i like them. Cooked perfectly too.
Overall we enjoyed this lovely, lively Pho restaurant. The staff obviously love their Pho (and so they should!).
Pho is like a drug, which can often produce a mild eu-PHO-ria (it really can). It didn't quite do that today, but it did hit the spot nonetheless.
(On our table was one home Pho chef, and another born/raised in Vietnam).
Best pho place in Richmond. Tasty and the beef tendons are always so tender and gelatinous. I always get my pho from here as I have been disappointed with everywhere else I have been to for pho. This place never fails.
Great pho. Broth is tasty without being overpowering. Fresh tender slices of beef and accompaniments. Very satisfying on a cold winter's day.
If you have a craving for pho and don't mind the crowds this place is absolutely brillant - just keep in mind it does get quite busy so if you suffer from anxiety be prepared mentally for how busy it is :)
This is one of the gems of the "Little Vietnam" food precinct on Victoria Street. I tend to prefer the Shredded Chicken Pho. The taste is delicate, the aroma amazing, especially after adding the basil and sprouts. My only criticism would be the basil and sprouts should fresh and vibrant and not slightly wilted. The soup is delicate and delicious and would really be something truly special if these ingredients were of the same standard.
All things considered though, this is one of my favourite places to eat on Victoria St.
Not a bad Pho place, The beef is quite tender. The price is quite decent. Been here once only. I think the other I love Pho down the street might be abit better.
Do: the pho obviously. The combination beef and chicken is a classic. Get extra meat and side serving of spring rolls.
Don't: forget the Vietnamese coffee to wash it all down. Or sugar cane drink in Summer.
Tip: pay for parking outside, inspectors everywhere. Cash only too.
Every time my friends want pho they insist on coming here. I don't really get it, but maybe I'm just not that into pho! Last night I couldn't get enough though, I ordered the medium bowl tofu & vegetable ($11). It has a different broth to the meat versions, much lighter and less salty but still very flavourful! My bowl was almost overflowing with fresh veggies, which were delicious. I'm a pretty good eater and was hungry when I arrived, but I left the bowl still half full of noodles and soup... So full but didn't want stop! Very good value.

The best bowl of pho I've ever had. Juicy beef, really awesome flavourful broth, and chewy yet tender noodles. The selection of fresh herbs and chilli just tops it all to make the ultimate bowl of flavour bomb. Highly recommended for pho lovers in Melbourne!
Without a doubt, the BEST pho on vic street, super fast service and super cheap but amazing flavour with all the condiments you could want! Although it's always packed, they will always find you a seat, might be super close to the person next to you but adds more to the atmosphere.
staff were polite and efficient. the lady at the counter took her time to recommend dishes to try for my take away order. food was really good much better than expected.
Words can't describe the feelings of elation I experience when a huge bowl of vegie pho arrives at my table. The pho is fresh, flavoursome and with all the right condiments, I'm grateful this is a time consuming meal so I can enjoy it longer. Lovely and quick service too and super cheap.
I am totally in love with I LOVE PHO 264. Think I have been here over 100 times (not joking) This place was the catalyst for a trip to Vietnam earlier this year. FYI you can order any Pho "without MSG" if you don't like the side effects of thirst and restlessness that can come from MSG.
The best pho in Melbourne, hands down! clean, cheap, yum! I will not eat pho anywhere else! Always busy but they will squeeze you in and their lemon drinks are fresh and delish!

So far, this is the best pho that I hv ever tried. It's located at Richmond, just a couple minutes of walk from the tram stop. From the front of the restaurant, you can smell a good fragrant of their soup broth. The soup broth was very nice & rich in flavour. And the meet was thinly sliced & easy to be eaten. Their veggie & bean sprouts were fresh. Try to eat it with their authenthic chilli & veggies, squezze it with a bit of lemon too. You are going to hv an excellent combination. Worth to try this!
Ate here last week and it was arguably the best Pho I've ever had and I don't think it was just because of the cold weather outside allowing me to enjoy the Pho even more. I have to come back to this place, just a shame that it's not closer
This was probably my third time here and it's been pretty good each time. I had the chicken and beef pho which nice with quality ingredients. The only downside was that I felt like there wasn't enough noodles and too much meat, normally it's the other way around at other pho restaurants haha. But would definitely visit again.
I don't live in Australia anymore, but I dream of this pho. Like, literally have dreams where I'm in Melbourne and driving down the road and salivating because I'm about to have a large beef and chicken pho with 6 lemons in it.
Who doesn't right? One of my favourite pho places in richmond, really can't go wrong. Clean flavours. Busy all the time but quick turn over times. If I'm not in footscray, I'm here
I have been coming to this place for many years and kept returning because I love the friendliness of the owners and their ability to communicate in English.
However, last Sunday when we took a friend there, we were served bowls of pho minus half the normal beef slices and with much less noodles (for the normal medium sizes we usually order) and they had run out of sweet basil for the garnishes, which they told us when the plates of beanshoots came out minus basil. Very disappointed that no one in the kitchen (or the owners who were walking around) didn't have the presence of mind to at least tell their customers that they are running short or are out of some ingredients and perhaps make up for the lack of say beef slices with more chicken pieces? Not rocket science! We felt really short changed, especially when for the last few times we have been, their prices have actually increased twice. I hope this is not the start of this business taking the downhill road of charging more for less and for reduced quality.
We have found a really nice pho shop in Springvale that friends recommended, so another bad experience will make us rethink that it is maybe time to take our custom elsewhere.
Richmond is known for its amazing Vietnamese food. But this place is a notch above. With all the classic flavors of a traditional pho, the portion size is generous with toppings to enhance the flavour. A must try if you are in the Richmond area!
Favourite pho eating location // They are generous with how much beef they give and the soup is very tasty too! Tend to always go with the medium bowl as its a good size to fill my appetite. And it's not even expensive for great quality food!
Legit pho. A standout in a street bursting at the seams with pho options. Massive servings for $11. Bargain. The place is filled both with elderly Vietnamese men quietly slurping noodles and young families. Loved it.
Their pho is great - clear broth & flavourful! Definitely a great choice during winter. 🍲😋
Service wasn't bad and wait staff was quite responsive to us.
I recommend this place, probably one of the tastiest pho I have had. Big portions , great quality, low price - perfect formula. Definitely go back again
Simply the best in Richmond.
No-one goes to a pho restaurant for quality service, but here it is quick and friendly service with a smile.
The pho is fantastic, the best tasting broth.
The Viet salads are also beautiful and fresh.
Consistently good, you can't beat the pho tai (sliced rare beef); the broth here blows all the others out of the water - clear, rich, beefy goodness. A bowl of this instantly invigorates.
Awesome winter restaurant choice!
Pho is amazing whether it's beef, chicken or veg!
Their Vietnamese salad is delicious & feeds 2, the tofu is filling & it comes with prawn crackers. Perfect for a shared summer meal.
Affordable & Delicious. Delicious Pho. BYO alcohol. Friendly staff. Quick Service can be in and out in under half an hour.
Travelled from Albury for this. SO WORTH IT! GREAT PRICES TOO!. Read the reviews and decided we had to come here; I'm so glad we did.
We had the special combination and chicken and beef pho's. They were full of flavour, plenty of, but, also not too many, noodles and plenty of meat and other surprises. If you want special combination, you need to like brisket, tripe, ox tail etc.
We also had the rice paper and spring rolls. Both were so good that I reckon that even the spring rolls were home made. Great sauces too.
Prices are fantastic. Pho costs you as much as it did in the good old days; $10
The whole meal, plus iced coffee, cost us $40 which is amazing for two people.
All in all, I'm so satisfied and impressed, that I'm about to shed a tear.
......we aren’t sure what is in the addictive noodle soup broth, but we are sure that the Vietnamese are smart and make it so addictive, we are always wanting more!
One of the best pho places out of so many in Richmond. It offers pho, no rice dishes, but has spring rolls and rice paper rolls. There are no prices written, there are so many variations of pho, and you can ask for modifications. Pho is full of flavour and noodles are smooth. I love their prawn spring rolls - super crunchy and fresh.
I have always enjoyed every meal I’ve had at I Love Pho 264. I even make it a point to bring friends and family to this restaurant when they are in Melbourne for a holiday. I Love Pho 264… I Love you, “Pho”-ever.
There is a bit of hype here and the facebook is filled with pictures of young attractive people of various demographics... but is the food good? Firstly, it is usually packed - really packed across both levels and there is a constantly flow of people. The clientale is a mix of demographics and they clearly have broad appeal. How does a restaurant do so well on Phở in a street of Phở restaurants? The Phở here is pretty good with a good soup base, really fresh ingredients and a wide range of combinations. Some who are used to the sweeter more MSG enhanced soup might not be used to the offerings here. However, it is really quite authentic and you can add various condiments to your liking.
Amazing rice paper and spring rolls!. Some of the best rice paper and spring rolls I've ever had!! the pho was delicious too. i love the option to order a small, medium or large bowl of pho. will definitely be back!
Pho 264 is pleasant enough, but pretty much your 'run of the mill' soup restaurant.
So So. Average Pho place but worth the while nonetheless... would go again.
Pho Sure. Have been coming here for the Pho for the last few years, and have always been satisfied by the servings and quality. Always order a side of spring rolls or race paper rolls and it is really is great value for money.
Amazing prawn rice paper rolls!!! Fresh fresh fresh!!
Delicious. Have been there a couple of times! Highly recommend!
Best Pho by far!!!. I love pho is a great place to get a delicious pho for a good price.
Even though i don't live locally, Its still worth the trip!
Satisfy my cravings!. Always the first place i go to for my pho cravings. I tried their express shop in emporium, but this one is still my fave!
Awesome pho. Excellent pho meal. If you have a steaming hot noodle soup with crispy fried spring craving, this is the place to go. I have been going here since I was young and it never fails to disappoint. Friendly service and great food.
Cant get enough. Have been going to this place for many years now .always treated like 1 of the family every 1 that works there is very friendly and great tasting pho ..i live in the western subs and am happy to drive to Richmond rather than go to the local shop or Footscray ..keep the good Pho coming

Perfect. A bowl of steaming hot goodness delivered to your pie hole within minutes of ordering? Sign me up. People who are moaning about prices going up should really get a grip. To get a large pho for $10.50 in inner city Melbourne is pretty much the best value you'll get in town. You need to eat out more if you think this is unreasonable.
Great Viet. Good service, great food, awesome prices.
All you could ask for :)
This dish is amazing. Generous servings of beef. Flavours a very clean and fresh. It's a must try.
Best pho in Melbs. Cheap, cheerful and delicious. Can't go wrong!
Eat here at least twice a week - love this place pho sho'. I traipsed around Melbs to find my favourite pho. This is the place. It may not be the best in the world or compared to Sydney where you pay double but for me, $8.50 for a bowl of delight with consistently tasty broth is worth it. Quick service, you can even say hi to Nanna who is there most days being her quiet little charming self at a back table. I back this family restaurant in all the way. They make me feel like I belong. Forgot my wallet one day - that's ok, pay next time. Who is that generous in this modern tough world of restauranting?
Not the best pho, but still a good feed!. This pho is actually quite mild tasting compared to ever popular PHO AN in sydney which is probably a lot more herby in flavour. I like how you can choose 3 diff sizes here, small, medium and large. The beef is sliced too thickly for my liking, and is slightly more cooked that what i prefer, the chicken shreds however is beautifully tender, the broth is very natural tasting and i liked the smooth texture of the noodles. The place though is super busy, spring rolls are not bad, crunchy and satisfying. I believe this is a matter of personal preference, so you'd probably need to give it a go to make up your own mind.
Yummy pho, quick service, cheap prices. What more could you want? The broth is just right, the portions are decent and the prices are great! Perfect for a quick meal that'll hit the spot. You can always count of this place for excellent pho.
Don't eat here if you want service! If you want a tasty bowl of Pho this is the place. I love the shredded Chicken Pho.
A classic!. Have been coming here for more than eight years and have never been disappointed! While the service is not outstanding, the clean and fresh pho has kept me coming back for more for years!
Prices that make you come back. a couple can eat for under 10 dollars each and the meal uses good cuts of meat with lime wedges etc part of the garnish.
im a big eater and could finish a medium bowl of chicken beef combination. they also do a great special beef that i ask for only sliced beef as the meat.
i always recommend places like this that maintain affordability without reducing quality.
try them! and i think parking here is all free after 6pm
Just as you expect. Great Pho, average service but a cheap and cheerful experience. Would I return? Absolutely. Why? Because the food is cheap, honest and bursting with flavour.
Don't expect the world, but expect a good experience and a satisfied belly.
Cheap and cheerful pho with slightly surly service. In other words, utterly authentic.
I love pho is really good. Nice fresh ingredients, friendly staff and I love their pet turtle Franklin
It was quick. It was cheap. It was fairly tasty.
Been coming here before the renovation - still one of the better bowls on Vic st. but think there's too much msg lately. Sooooooooo thirsty afterwards!
I think they have it figured out - do a few things, and do them really well. The flavoursome stock always hits the pho spot for me. Wish I lived closer to this place! Hard to explain just how good the sauce for the sizzling (juicy tender) steak is. It's really really really good.
Not the biggest fan of your regular pho but I loved the Tofu & Vegetable pho so filling & full of flavour especially with a 3 colour drink, the husband had a chicken & beef combination pho & loved it also had veggie soring rolls & pork ricepaper rolls forthe kids who ate everything.
I go there so often. My whole family loves this place! Special beef pho and prawn spring rolls are the must-haves.
Downer is that Im always in need of so much water after the meal. If only they could put less MSG...
Pho King Brilliant. My favourite pho place. Meaty broth that leaves your lips sticky, with tender beef and crunchy tripe. Pretty good rice paper rolls. Lots of veg garnishes and decent tea. They even do a good chicken pho, according to a weird friend, though I'll never order it while there's so much beef for the asking.
It's good but why there is no price on the menu? Does that mean when they charged their customers, no one will be able to tell whether they're being overcharged or not???
YUM. This pho is the best in melbourne, hands down. reliabel, fast, hot, tasty, noodles are beautiful silky texture.
i usually get the slice beef pho, however try the vegetable and tofu ( i added shdredded chicken) seriously good, now my new favourite.
hate reading bad reviews of good places, try this joint out- perfection
Hot soup. My favourite Pho in Melbourne. Cheap price but quality. My father love the chicken noodle soup here so much. Nice hot soup for cold day. I highly reccommened for everyone who love Pho.
I do!. Been eating here almost weekly for the last few months... I love Pho...I really do ;)
PHO SHO! Best pho in town. My taste buds love the giblet pho.
Carmen crazy for I
Pheonix. Have always been a fan of this place but they recently opened up a place further down the road. This time they have included a wider array of Vietnamese main meal dishes.
Had a great time and good place to introduce Vietnamese food to my parents.
Best pho in Melbourne. I have eaten pho in the city, Springvale, northcote and all down Victoria street.. This broth is so tasty and the restaurant is very clean
Good pho. We got here at about 6.30 on a week night and the downstairs was already packed! They opened up stairs for us (7) and soon it was full and people were waiting for a table. The pho was ok, the servings are huge - I got a medium and could not finish! The broth wasn't that tasty, I had to put a lot of the extra sauces and condiments in to go get a good flavour. Will I be back, probably.
The Best in so many ways. With recommendations from the friendyl staff at Hwaroo KBBQ restaurant (check them out on little bourke street), I came here with my mates after the long weekend.
The soup here is supposedly one of the best around Melbourne and possibly Australia respectively. This isn't coming from the guys at this pho shop though. But I gotta say, I can see why people recommended me here!
The best cure I have ever had for a hangover since maccas hahaha
and Maccas doesn't come anywhere near as good as the soups here.
sliced beef pho and the chicken pho were so good.
Planning to come here again with the mates soon.
I recommend it for those who had a big night, but for those who are looking for good bowl of PHO.
I LOVE PHO 264
Always Good Pho. Sliced bee.... Always Good Pho.
Sliced beef is my Fav. Could do with some cleaning up as it is so busy all the time.
I always leave this place PHO FULL. Great pho.
And GLUTEN FREE!!!
I have been here at least 20 times, aways have a good feed, always feel satisfied, never get gluten poisoning and the staff are always happy and helpful.
Let's put this out here first, I'm full Viet. Okay time for the review. The pho here is great.
The pho came out very fast and hot. Not just the noodles but also the bowl, which means the bowl of pho was microwaved. My hypothesis is that the noodle and meat was microwaved and the soup added in later, keeping the pho hot, not warm, due to the noodles and meat being somewhat equally hot to the soup.
Which is not a bad thing, just... microwave.
On to another minor flaw, the rice noodle had another taste to it, the oily noodle smell which you get out of the bag, meaning it wasn't cleaned properly. On the upside the rice noodle was firm, it didn't break up in the soup, which was great! I've eaten at many pho restaurants and I have encountered many weak soggy noodles.
The soup was fine, I only added some lemon to the soup because of my personal preference.
All in all, the pho here was great.
I love pho. Being part Vietnamese I really love my pho and this place is simply amazing
I loved the Pho. Had dinner there tonight, the pork spring rolls were great as was the beef and chicken combo Pho. I'll be back to try some more off the menu for sure.
BEST PHO IN MELBOURNE!. I am a huge fan of good pho, and this definitely has to be the best one in Melbourne.
Try the sliced chicken, so fresh and delish! And you can't go wrong with a serve of the spring rolls (either type).
Always good pho! Try the 3 colour coconut drink... Helps with the burn!!

I love i love pho chicken pho super fresh super yummy
How can you not love pho!. Awesome little restaurant, speedy service, amazing value for money and delicious pho! We drive half an hour just to get this amazing dinner !
Good but No prices on menu?. One of the better Pho places and it was really crowded.
Pho was comforting bowl of soup but didn't like the rice paper roll (very dry, and sauce tasted, funny).
Also no prices listed on menu so when we paid no idea if they were fooling us.
We always dine here when we come to Richmond. Pho is nice here. But I'm always disappointed with their spring rolls - they don't go well with the source they serve.
The best!! The best noodles.... The best!!
The best noodles
The best broth
The best smoky chilli paste
The best owner
The best turtle in the equarium
And a great toilet..
Rockin Pho!. Always busy but great food at ridiculously cheap prices - $9 for a massive bowl of Pho. Can't beat that in my opinion.
Rarely disappointed. Probably the wisest $10 you can spend when your in need of a pho-fix.

Wonderful pho and rice paper rolls but be prepared to be pushed out!. I have eaten pho at a number of places and I must say the beef pho at I Love Pho is one of the best in Melbourne. I also enjoyed their fresh pork and prawn rice paper rolls. I must say I don't expect much when I go to a cheap restaurant but it was very annoying to be constantly harassed about ordering (when we had just arrived and were saying our hellos) and observed throughout our meal to see how much food we had left! Well worth the visit for a good dose of cheap pho though.
Craving for PHO. Went last nite for best pho in town..i ordered combination beef, lemon squash and spring role..partner ordered meatball noodle soup. its the first time i hit this place and i knew this place gona be my fave pho rest. pho is obviously nice, can explain anymore further.. just try it!! and guarantee u will love it.. homemade lemon squash is just so refreshing. aunt (owner)is really nice, service is excellent.. cant wait to be back for another bowl.
Most of the time, excellent
Some of the best pho I have tried in Melbourne and hong kong the one only place I eat pho
Service: alright Food: good.... Service: alright
Food: good
Price: reasonable
LOVE this place! Their pho has fantastic broth, with really fresh ingredients! it is a weekly ritual to head up to Richmond to eat at I Love Pho 264
Love it! Fresh filling food with all the right condiments. Very kind to the wallet - great place for a cheap meal that still leaves you feeling like youve treated yourself. No frills efficient service but we never felt rushed at any stage like you do get in other high turnover places. Service may be basic but is not unfriendly, all our annoying questions answered & all our requests granted. Really all you could want as an excellent dining canvas on which to paint your experience, whether cozy dinner for 2 or big messy friend's catch-up, against a background of fresh, filling, flavoursome &, best of all, interactive food!
I LOVE THIS PHO. Yes the service is not great but the food makes up for everything!
Just wow. Vietnamese noodle soups in Melbourne usually don't impress me much but I think the pho here is amazing. Had dinner here and was the first time I really genuinely enjoyed my noodle soup. They have nice spring rolls too.
Love!. I always come back to I love Pho for the food that warms my belly, my heart and my bank account. I've been forced on recent occasion to try "fancy pho"...i.e. $18 Pho at more upmarket establishments that friends have wanted to go to but it never seems to compare. My monthly fix of I love Pho is good for me....its a winner.
AMAZING. I love this place and eat there at least once every week. 10/10
Definitely a winner! The beef slice pho is amazing.
I LOVE I Love Pho. Best Pho I have had in Melbourne & to make things better Pho & Drinks for 4 people came to $40! We were very happy. Everyone loved theirs. We will be back!
Cheap quick and easy. A simple motto for a simple place with only one real goal make consistant great flavouring pho fast and hot. This vietnamese family run business has been working long and hard to create an atmosphere that attracts all crowds for a fantastic bowl of pho do yourself a favor and grab a t shirt and stickers while ur there ^_^
Unfancy, but filling.. I missed the boat on Pho. It has been the coolest thing amongst the Indies, Hippies, trendsetters and anyone under the banner of “faux impoverished” for the last year. Mind you, I had never realised it as an option at any of the Vietnamese restaurants I’ve visited over the last dozen years, and neither had they. Pho has, as it turns out, been around for almost a hundred years – we’ve only been mispronouncing it in Melbourne as the great feeder of the masses since last football season.
I’m not naive enough to think that ILP 264 is the 263rd sequel to the original, but I’m sure it’s the sequel to something. It has the esteem of a pop up dining hall, yet the scars of a journeyman restaurant. If there’s music you can’t hear it and service ranges from “are you ready to order” (in fewer words, with less syntactic fashion) to... well, that’s it.
There are no menus, only a sign on the well describing the innards of various animals. There are handwritten notes advertising specials which I sense aren’t as short-lived as the advertising medium suggests.
But... it’s a fascinating concept, done very affordably. Essentially you’re eating a chicken soup that is infusing as you eat. Each mouthful has more flavour than the last and by the time you’ve finished the clear broth that once looked like Evian now resembles the warm, hearty ochre of a distilled stock.
This is single-serve dining en masse. If something is not spicy enough, add chilli. If you can find soy sauce, add that too. There are bean shoots and mint to garnish or flavour, but otherwise you’re on your own. If you haven’t splashed at least 30ml on yourself, you’re not doing it properly and if you’re not full you may be best seeking gainful employment as landfill.
One of better pho joints on Victoria St. Lets be honest, all the pho restaurants on Victoria St are pretty similar. All are pretty great. This is one of the better ones. Yeaaah buddy!
Good but not the best. The hype around I Love Pho suggested amazing pho in a modern setting. The beef pho was certainly good but lacked some of the deep, intense flavours of real pho broth. Not the best on the street, but a good no fuss pho.
Great as always.. Chicken and Beef combination pho never lets me down!:)
Victoria street in Richmond offers huge varieties of pho restaurant and this place, I love Pho 264 is one of my favorites. The base soup was tasty and they provide great potion in a worth value. Why not come here more?
For all times. Brakfast it's amazing, if I'm sick it heals, if I'm hungover it gets me to the couch this place is like a best fiend and hopefully will always be... !
Loved it! Have been looking for a decent pho for ages & finally found it! Too bad I live in Perth most of the year :( but def will b on my top places to visit next time I come!!
Cheap cheap cheap! Most dishes $9 some $10. Medium serve is plenty. I had left overs to take home. I had beef/chicken pho was huge and yumy. My friend had the oxtail pho and she loved it, very authentic. Clean. Couldnt believe how packed it was. Must recomend!
First place I went to after a year overseas. My life is not complete without pho.
Pho is tastes fresher in Preston
Good Food/Noisy Venue. The spring rolls were the most amazing I've ever had! Bad acoustics lead to it being very hard to hear my friend across the table speak.
Very good pho. This place has one of the best pho in Melbourne. Plus it is very reasonably priced as well - well worth a visit for a healthy lunch/dinner.
Had the chicken and beef. So yummy. Meat was tender and noodles plentiful. Had a medium bowl and was amazed at the size. Wonder what a large bowl looks like. Good value for money too.

Yum yum yum!. I always order the vegetarian rice paper rolls, and the vegetarian pho with tofu. It is cramped in there, often sharing tables with others but, great food, very cheap, and friendly staff
Yum. yum. yummy.. I usually order special beef Pho, load it up with chilli, shoots and leaves. Oh yuuuum...
stop it. want a huge bowl right now.
Comfort food. Found this gem back in 2008 and tried several other places but gave up eventually..ever since then, if we want pho, it's only from here. Cures hangovers/holiday overreating/lazy winter nights. Kinda nice to be recognised whenever we drop by.
Pho Diet. This is where Swerve and I go when we are feeling guilty about calories and want to lose weight. So we walk there. The problem is that along with the steaming delicious Pho are the irresistible fried fried spring rolls. This town is trying to kill us.
Staff are very friendly and service is quick! The broth is very very tasty and isn't overladen with msg! Prawn spring rolls were pretty average though.
This pho joint has a potentionally become of the finest pho joint in Melbourne. Been a customer of this place for some time. Ive tried all of springvale's pho joint and none of them comes close to I
Best pho in all the land!
Nice Pho. I've been a regular of this place before they moved to 264. What I can assure you is that they have been producing good pho and well consistently especially when you pay your meal for under $10. I can understand that some people might find this place lack of service and consistency of their pho but for a busy place like this.........these problems can occur sometimes. Lets face it and be more understanding or at least give them another go. With that said, you might change your mind and get back to edit your previous negative reviews.
To conclude, I'm not a friend of theirs so I have nothing to do with them. Just tell a frank opinion to you all about this place and all other busy places. This pho shop is worth trying. If you could go during the day or before 7pm. I guarantee you will get things right. Peace.
7 out of 10. I enjoyed this restaurant. Very good pho, a solid 7/10. The rice paper rolls were also of a very good standard. Impressed with the clean look of the place and decor, a good fresh look. Unlike many of the well established pho restaurants on Victoria Street, I Love Pho is reasonably spacious, including some booths, and child friendly. Dishes were at usual Victoria Street pho restaurant prices, including pho at $9 each.
Some demerit points for not having a three colour drink available.
Great Broth. Really tasty broth, which doesn't appear to be over laden with msg. Service is fast, prices are reasonable. Cant ask for much more.
Awesome late night feed. It was Saturday night.
We were hungry.
It was late.
We were driving from the airport.
It was the good old pho we wanted...
11pm...
Victoria street...
Richmond...
Everything was shut... apart from the pubs and bars...
We want pho!!!!
It was then, we saw the lights from I Love Pho 264.
We've never been to this modern pho shop... but we were hungry.
We asked the aunty from the shop if they are still open... can we still have pho?
To which she replied, for you, we are open! You will be our last for the night.
The coconut water we ordered were amazingly refreshing.
The pho... yes, the pho... they were by far some of the best we have had in Melbourne!
The thinly sliced beef, the noodle with the yummy soup... I am no food critic... but I know this is one place I will return from now on!!!!
Been going here for years, new name, same fab soup. Best pick me up, make me feel good soup ever!
Hits the spot everytime !!. This place is always buzzing!! Amazing pho cooked with the freshest ingredients & served by super friendly staff!!
Definitely recommend for those who LOVEEEE PHO!
Pure Deliciousness for the Price. This Pho is seriously delicious, the noodles taste delicious and combined with the heavenly broth, it tastes like awesome! Everyone should try the best pho in town!
One of the best Pho's I've had. The pho is consistently excellent with the highlight for me being the handmade noodles. Be prepared to wait for a table during peak periods.
8/10. I almost never rate more than an 8. All dishes $9. No prices on menu oddly. Best pho we have had in Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne so far. Just try it. Open til 10pm.
Simple. There's nothing to it.
The proportion is nothing short of a full satisfaction.
The prices won't even hurt your wallet a bit.

Phoshizzle this place has the best pho!. I Love Pho 264 has the best pho AND prawn spring rolls in Melbourne! Though there is sometimes a line, the food is always worth the wait, the service staff is friendly and very efficient.
This is a weekly lunch spot! Highly recommend I Love Pho 264!
Awesome staff Delicious food What more could you want :) I
When people ask me where is the best place for Pho Noodles, I immediately answer, without any hesitation, I Love Pho 264! Well, it used to be Pho Tu Te, but due to it's popularity they have moved a few doors down to a much more modern and bigger space. Glad to say that's the only thing that has changed as their Pho noodles is just the way I remembered them when I first had a bowl over 5 years ago.
he broth was served warm, not as hot as we would have liked. Still, very passable. I made a concoction of complimentary chilli and hoi sin sauce to add some extra kick. Wasn’t necessary but I like to add sauce anyway. A shared plate of lemon, basil and bean shoots was provided. A few handfuls of them were thrown into the bowl too. I tried each of these (all the same but the meat) – they were all delicious.
I Love Pho knows what it does best, it hardly needs to change a thing as people arrive in droves. You can see why it is so popular on Victoria St, and a favourite of many as well.
They loved Pho so much they changed the name of the restaurant to I Love Pho! The queue is well out of the door but there is no need to worry they will soon have you seated at a table and served in super quick time! The combination of the Vietnamese and French influences of Hanoi saw the first Pho restaurant open in 1920′s (thanks Wikipedia for the trivia!) and Victoria Street is the Melbourne home to this wholesome dish (or so I am told!). I Love Pho has no airs and graces, this is lunchtime, it's manic and their turnover of tables must be legendary! As fast as we are seated there are more people queuing and people leaving with full bellies. The staff fly gracefully around with trays full of massive pho bowls steaming away - they must weight a fair bit! The choices are relatively simple, I am a shredded chicken girl, it's the safe option but it is sooooo good. You can also explore beef, cartilage, tendon, fat or tripe! There are also rice paper and spring rolls now available. Packed
Digging through the unreasonably large bowl, we found a wide selection of beefy treats, including brisket, tripe, tendon, beef balls, and rare sliced beef. Slurped down with the sweet and light soup, it made for an invigorating start to our day.
Having MSG in the broth is a given, but the quality cuts of beef that they use here are just the best!
My phở may not have been the best phở ever (I prefer the more gritty, more flavoursome but less MSG-diluted broth that makes Chu The in Footscray famous) but hey, when you’re nursing a hangover, this is pretty damn good. Give me this over KFC any day.
