Place was absolutely chockas before footy at the ‘G. Staff member spotted us, encouraged us to order and wait for a table. He found us a table extremely promptly and our food arrived shortly after. Burgers are yummy as! Second time I’ve been there, definitely be back!

I’ve lived in Richmond for nearly three years and I’m shocked it’s taken me so long to try The Beer & Burger Bar. It’s long been on my list of places to try with so many burgers I’d love to try.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to try The KPOP Burger (minus the coriander) and was blown away - it was amazing! A nice mix of sweet and spicy. The chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside and the kimchi, slaw and sesame seeds really topped it off.
The following weekend I had another burger craving, this time ordering Piggie Smalls (again minus the coriander). I loved this burger too. There was a generous amount of pork and it was the perfect combination of sweet and smokey with the honey bbq marinade. The crackling was also a great addition!
The chips here are awesome too!
A must visit if you love burgers.

We attended a relaunch event at B&BB and an absolutely stupendous time was had by all. Their drinks are so over the top visually striking that they are truly second to none. Definitely pure indulgence right here and done to utter perfection. Thoroughly deserving of its high rating

We were invited to The Beer and Burger Bar tonight a delicious little spot on Church st that has undergone a recent renovation. I was seriously impressed with it all from the tasty burgers to the yummy cheese and gravy loaded fries to the utterly show stopping Oreo shake which was an absolute feast of its own accord and one of the most prettily presented beverages I’ve ever seen. The cocktails also wowed and there was really nothing I could fault, thoroughly recommend

HEARD Magazine

Ever since my first visit 2 and a half years ago, I’d had Beer & Burger Bar on my revisit list! And recently I finally made it back with a few friends to indulge in a massive spread of burgers and sides!

Let’s get right to it, here’s what we had and what I thought about it;

THE BOB 5/5
Beef, Southern Fried Chicken, Double Bacon, Double American Cheese, Grilled Pinapple, Lettuce, Tomato, Jalapenos, Cola BBQ Sauce & Aioli

Beef and chicken both cooked perfectly juicy with good flavour with a crunchy coating around the chicken.

Absolutely loved the grilled pineapple, adding that sweet element alongside the cola BBQ sauce. Bacon was nice and crispy amongst a good amount of melting cheese. With a little kick from the jalapenos and the aioli giving that creamy element, this was a winning combination and a very well-balanced burger

SHORT RIB BURGER 5/5
Beef Patty, Cheese, Mustard, Tomato Sauce, Red Onion & Beef Short Rib

I had my doubts with the cheeseburger combo paired with short rib, thinking the flavour would interfere but I was proved wrong. The beef patty was nice and juicy, slightly pink inside with melted cheese and a balanced ratio of sauces. The short rib slotted in perfectly; cooked great, tender with delicious flavour making this one of my favourite burgers of the night

THE KPOP 5/5
Korean Fried Chicken, Spicy Kimchi, Coleslaw, Fresh Chilli, Coriander, Sesame Seeds & Mayo

This burger had some serious wow factor and refused to be forgotten long after finishing it! Being a massive Korean fried chicken fan, I loved this combination! All these elements were quite strong in flavour, but none were too overpowering. They worked beautifully together! Very fresh with the slaw and coriander flavour amongst a good balance of sweet, chilli and touch of creaminess from the mayo. Perfect!

SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN BURGER 4/5
Southern Fried Chicken, Bacon, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Smashed Avo & Chipotle Aioli

This was the only burger not in contention for the winner of the night for me, just from missing that powerful flavoured element to really bring the burger together. The chicken was cooked well, nice light crispy coating. Good combination with the smooth smashed avo mixed amongst the swiss cheese and bacon. Chipotle aioli was super creamy with for me it needed a little more spice or kick which would’ve given it that wow factor! Other than that, a well-cooked burger with good elements but lacking that spark, which didn’t leave much of an impression on me.

MAC CHEESE SPRING ROLLS
Nice crispy spring roll pastry filled with a creamy mac cheese mix with a killer combination of bacon bits and jalapenos really turning it up!

CHEESEBURGER SPRING ROLLS
Pretty self-explanatory and damn good, dipped in their amazing burger sauce was the perfect touch!

BEEF BRISKET LOADED FRIES
Shredded beef brisket was tender and nice but not as flavoursome as I would’ve liked. Cheese sauce was delicious. Chips were good mix of thick and crunchy with soft ones down the bottom holding all the sauce. Good ratio of everything!

And if I wasn’t already impressed enough by these amazing dishes so far, the DEATH BY CHOCOLATE freak-shake blew my mind!

The shake itself had a thick consistency with good strong chocolate flavour. Nutella coveted the top half of the outside which was decorated meticulously with crushed chocolate ripple biscuits. And the piece de resistance was a MASSIVE piece of homemade chocolate ganache cake on top! I can’t express enough how indulgently delicious it was! So moist with soft delicate icing layered through and around. The quality of this cake is definitely something you wouldn’t expect from a burger place! A lot of venues offering freak-shakes should take a leaf out of Beer and Burger Bar’s book as most put little effort into the shake aspect with the pure focus of making them ‘Insta worthy” with cheap Coles packet waffles, donuts, chocolate bars etc. This shake had it all with drop dead gorgeous looks and amazing flavour!

I highly recommend Beer and Burger Bar for their amazing burgers, sides and great service. Really welcoming owner and staff taking great pride in providing high quality food and service!

We came here to celebrate the new launch of beer and burger bar and loved the vibe and the food! The burgers were delicious- classic flavours with a bit of a twist. My favourite one was the Mexican styled beef burger. The shakes here are also unreal! There is a chocolate one with an actual cake slice in it which was moist and so good

Some Bunee Loves Food

I was invited to this awesome event at the Beef and Burger bar. It was a great atmosphere with DJ and music, and we get to try a lot of different burgers which kept coming out!

I was only able to fit in two burgers before I got really full!

They tasted amazing though! The pulled pork with chilli was just so delicious!

We also got some chips (poutine I think), burgers, macaroni cheese balls, deep fried jalapenos and onion rings. Very addictive stuff and very tasty.

I got a cocktail: FAIRY FLOSS SPRITZ – Camorra fairy floss liquor, lemonade and soda. It tasted like fairy floss indeed and was like a raspberry lemonade which was the nicest cocktail I’ve had with alcohol in it! It was too dangerous as it tasted so nice! Just had to stop myself getting too tipsy haha.

So I started getting a shake and sharing with a friend: Salted caramel crazy shake, Cookie Monster shake. They looked really cool with the biscuit bits stuck on the edges of the cup but sad I can’t eat them as it was stuck down hard haha. The cookie monster shake was blue so I assume it was a blue heaven milkshake.

Some other crazy shakes we saw and looked incredible are: Death by Chocolate (it has a full slice of cake and cream on top omg!) and an Oreo shake (with a huge Oreo ice cream on top it was crazy!).

Overall, I really like this place and their food and drinks were amazing!

Food Comatose

After a fresh revamp complete with neon lights and quirky touches, Beer and Burger Bar (BBB) is back and better than ever with their new added plant-based menu options. The local favourite recently hosted a launch party to show off their brand spanking new fit out, pulling out all the stops with a DJ, photobooth and fun games. Gourmet sliders, burgers and all the classic sides—including hot chips with cheese and gravy and mac and cheese balls—roamed through the crowds and then there was the beer! Teaming up with their Richmond buddies Burnley Brewing, BBB poured exclusive local Victorian brews for this one night only.

Their usual craft beers include the beloved Moon Dog and Stomping Ground, but there’s also cider, wine and potent cocktails too. Our summer cocktail recommendation is the ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ mixed with Freedom blueberry rye, passionfruit syrup and blood orange soda. The new food menu now boasts over 10 burgers with a tasty vegetarian and three new vegan burgers—try ‘The Dirty Vegan’ with crumbed eggplant, vegan cheese, Napoli sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and vegan mayo (YUM!). For all the carnivores out there, don’t fret! All your favourites are still here too, like their bestseller ‘The Piggy’ as well as ‘Classic Cheese’ and ‘The Southern Fried Chicken’. Next time you’re in Richmond, join the locals for a burger date at BBB.

I visited the Beer and Burger Bar in the context of an event. The venue has been recently renovated and wow it sure looks amazing! I actually had never visited before but my plus one had and he showed me a picture of ‘the before’ and the place has gained LIFE! It was neon lights, new tables and seats and I even think that the floor has been changed! Either way there is a huge difference indeed and there is definitely something to admire!

The place was quite busy and there was a very good energy around, making it quite enable to hang around while the food and drinks kept incessantly coming out and feeding the guests.

I am not 100% sure if I am covering everything that was being served (it was dark and there was so much food!) but here is what I think that they did in terms of burgers:
- Beef Burger - Beef pattie, bacon, beetroot relish, Swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce and burger sauce
- Cheeseburger - Beef pattie, Swiss cheese, Gherkins and burger sauce
- The Southern Fried Chicken - Southern fried chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese, smashed avocado, tomato, lettuce and chipotle aioli
- The Pork - Pulled pork, crackling, grilled pineapple, apple relish, Asian slaw and aioli
- The Lamb-borghini - Pulled lamb, bacon, tomato, rocket, red onion, feta, harissa and yoghurt
- Sloppy Joes - Ground Beef in a tomato based sauce, Jalapenos and American cheese
- The KPOP - Korean fried chicken, spicy kimchi, coleslaw, fresh chilli, coriander, sesame seeds and mayo
- The Herbivore - veggie pattie, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, BBQ chipotle sauce and mayo, served on a white bun
- The Dirty Vegan - crumbed eggplant, vegan cheese, Napoli sauce, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo, served on a white bun

All the burgers were served in a brioche bun except for these last two that were vegan and had a while bun. The were all in miniature versions so that people could obviously try more than one or two and see which one they liked best!
I tried both the vegan ones as well as a modified version of the The Southern Fried Chicken (minus the cheese and with a vegan bun) and the Beef Burger (minus the cheese and in a vegan bun too). My favourite was definitely the Southern Fried Chicken. The pattie is just terrific, not greasy or oily and even for a miniature the size was impressive! And the avocado - AMAZING - I never thought it would work so well here! I was not a fan of the crumbled eggplant as, on the contrary seemed oily and had a mushy consistency but the veggie pattie was good! Not the best one I have ever had but still good in terms of taste (although the consistency was quite mushy/soft and I would have preferred a more crumbly and even crunchy pattie).

They also have an option (usually when you visit) that is called The Collective that has 4 sliders of Beef, Chicken, Pork & Lamb Sliders and similarly they are like miniature versions when you can't choose just one burger!

In terms of sides, they served Chips, Chips, Cheese & Gravy (also in a vegan version) and Onion Rings. I absolutely loved the Vegan Chips and the Onion Rings were amazing in texture and taste (slightly more oily and greasy than I would have wanted though).

There were also some items from the snack section being served such as:
- Jalapeño Poppers - deep fried japans served with yogurt
- Mac N Cheese Balls
- Spring Rolls - Mac n cheese with bacon and cheeseburger, served with sauces
- Loaded Fried - chilli beef con carne and CCG (chips, cheese and gravy)
I tried the Jalapeño Poppers without the sauce and it’s definitely not something I would ask for as it is quite hot and spicy 😂 my friend said that with the yogurt the taste was much more enjoyable though! My friend also tried the Mac N Cheese Balls and the Spring Rolls and he enjoyed them.

You could also order some of their Mega Milkshakes and I saw some amazing ones with chocolate cake, huge oreos and event a cookie monster one! Unfortunately they didn’t have any vegan icecream and they couldn’t make one allergen friendly. I actually even thought about going to the health food store just next door an get them one but it was so busy that I decided to stay with the burgers 😂

The staff was incredible the whole night and I felt welcomed - they did everything to make everyone comfortable and happy! You will definitely feel loved here!

Our first visit to the Beer and Burger Bar many years ago was but a distant memory. Having been revamped and sporting a modern, trendier theme, we are glad to report that the burgers here are as good as ever.
The burgers are well thought out, with complementary flavours and ingredients that work remarkably well together. Coupled with near perfect execution, this is the burger joint you gotta try for yourself!

You’d think the hype has died down in Richmond after the Tigers massive win in the Grand Final a few months ago. Not a chance. Especially when spaces like the Beer & Burger Bar exist in the heart of this AFL obsessed inner suburb.

Their recent revamp sees a completely new fit out, with pink & green artwork and neons that light up the streamlined venue, and a canteen style counter.

Kudos to Ryan Kurban for not only creating a welcoming place, but one that caters for us folks who suffer FOMO when we see those epic burger challenges. There are 19 to choose from, and from what I can taste, the focus is undoubtedly on flavour. I’ll leave the 3.5kg burgers to the experts, and stick to The Classic Beef, which my hands wrap around seamlessly.

Perhaps it’s off-season, mid-week or the weather was very moody but Swan Street wasn’t as hectic from what I was used to. We came here upon invitational and we strategised what to order, their varieties made it very difficult on us as we wanted to try it all!

They’ve got a great selection of craft beers and a milkshake sounded tempting but I wanted a more mature drink, something that won’t make me feel bloated afterwards and would go down easily. I got their Dark n’ Stormy which was right down my alley, gingery and sour it was pretty refreshing.

Our sides arrived first for us to snack on which we didn’t mind too much as it broadened my appetite. The onion rings were bang on, perfectly constructed and not too heavy on the batter, it pretty much could hold its own. We did get some onion ring sauce (combination of aioli and relish) which made for a nice dip. The sweet potato fries again were crisp and in its natural state didn’t need to be tinkered with too much, nice creamy sweetness. We got some chipotle aioli for some added heat but not entirely necessary.

We also shared a combination of wings, the sticky BBQ wings was my personal favourite with an addictive sweet glaze and nice charred flavour. The buffalo wings (possibly marinated in Frank’s hot sauce) however were firey, my friend appreciated it much more than I did and he eats wings every other week. Comes with a ranch sauce to help mute the heat.

For something more substantial I opt for one of their specialty burgers, a cheeseburger with a beef short rib (the bone just slides right off). It is beef on beef, the juicy patty alongside the heavier and more beefier counterpart. If that wasn’t an assault on the senses, they’ve got a tub of gravy to pour all over your proteins, I admit it did make it a bit sloppy so I’d advise a more calculated approach, pour, bite, repeat.

They’ve got something for everyone and I definitely did not get to try everything I wanted to, I was utterly defeated from that burger! Surprisingly I didn’t feel too awful as the food wasn’t that greasy as compared to what’s out there. Thanks for the invite, it’s lifted my standards for other burger joints.

Myself and my partner absolutely loved our visit to The Beer and Burger Bar. It was a balmy weekday night, when we dined here. All we craved was some delicious food and cool beverages. Safe to safe The Beer and Burger Bar delivered on this front, and so many more.

The atmosphere here is super relaxed and non-pretentious. They're not trying to be anything they're not. The focus is on providing great service and genuinely satisfying their customers, which is awesome. I also love how well they cater to vegans. It makes a real difference when you can enjoy just as much as the average meat-eater on a night out!

Overall, I couldn't fault our experience. The staff looked after us so well and the menu was beyond satisfying. Not to mention the very handy location. We'll definitely be back!

WE LOVE THE BEER AND BURGER BAR

We walked in here on a Saturday afternoon and, boy, were we in for a treat. Burgers all around, loaded fries, monster shakes and DJ spinning mad tunes. Best vibes.

We ordered with the help of the waiters who were super friendly and knew their flavours. We decided to go with the specials as they just looked too good to ignore; think, short rib and beef burgers and loaded fries with brisket and chilli. We also tried on of the burgers off the menu which was the staff's favourite and for good reasons. The burgers here are hearty; you can tell these guys really love their food and spend the time and effort creating new things that will most certainly entice.

We cannot wait to come back and try so much more off the menu; oh, and certainly more of their selection of milkshakes - there was one with a whole mud cake slide on it #drools.

Love how inviting the staff is; super chilled environment. DJ spinning tunes made for a mad Saturday night.

Beer and Burger Bar has recently undergone a refurbishment and now is looking sleeker and sexier than ever. The menu has been given a makeover and features a range of epic burgers and shakes, and also vegan and vegetarian options too.

My friend and I tried the Beef Rendang Burger and the B.O.B, both blew our minds! The beef patties in both burgers were just the right doneness, super juicy and moist. The fried chicken in the latter was just as succulent. Saucy, flavourful and with a hint of kick from the chillies and jalapenos found in each respective burger. The Beef Rendang Burger came with chips even, making this one of my favourite burgers ever.

Golden and crisped, the Mac n Cheese Balls did not disappoint, as were the case with the milkshakes. The Cookie Monster was very aptly named and I couldn't stop eating the chunk of cookies stuck around the rim of the glass.

Casual and down-to-earth vibe, BBB is the perfect spot to chill with friends while digging into some of the most tasty burgers in town. Can't wait to be back to try out the rest of the burgers and shakes. Thank you!

We were kindly invited to Beer and Burger Bar to try their delicious food. Upon arrival the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere and music - they had a DJ in the house and the rugby was on! Everyone was enjoying good food and drinks.
We were seated really quickly and given the menu and specials. I ordered the special short-rib cheeseburger which is a beef pattie, slow-cooked short rib, american cheese, gherkins, red onions & bbq sauce on a brioche bun served with a side of gravy. My partner ordered the Bad Hombre but I think we received the Classic Beef instead. We didn’t mind and didn’t bother to change it because it was still delicious,
The short-rib was pull apart tender and melt in the mouth. It was a genius burger that was juicy, flavourful and just a joy to eat. I wish they would have this in their menu forvever! The Classic Beef burger was just that - A seriously delicious beef buger with no frills. It really hit the spot!
The hilight of the dinner was the CCG: chips, cheese & gravy. It’s my favourite combo and I don’t know why other places don’t serve it. It’s simple yet amazing when done well. I would not hesitate to order multiple baskets of it!
I highly recommend this place for a great chilled night out for some great food, music and drinks! Thank you Beer and Burger Bar for your generosity!

Just made a big order of buffalo wings from the place on the AFL night and went to pick it up amindst a huge crowd. Nice place, and the owner was a brilliant bloke who just got us in and had prepared the wings right on time.

We got the spicy wings and they were quite tangy with a lemon zest to it and the spice was great. It was good to see that all the wings were cooked to perfection which is rare given id usually find uncooked wings around too. Good job! Highly recommended, will give their burgers a try soon!

Great casual diner! It’s got a slightly grungy feel and is the perfect place for a quick pre game bite to eat. The burgers are tasty and filling and they have amazing special offers on at certain time which make them awesome value. Just as good as the burgers are the loaded fries (although don’t go crazy like we did, they’re pretty filling). The chilli ones are yummy, but quite rich. It’s a lively, popular venue with a laidback fun atmosphere.

Coffee Cup

Pre basketball game burger which seems to be appropriate. We really enjoyed the burgers. Mine was a cheeseburger that was gooey, juicy and delicious. The bread held together which is key for a burger. My husband had the beast burger which he enjoyed. The chips were scrumptious, full of seasoning but not too salty. Delicious onion rings. We will be back.

The Beer and Burger Bar perfectly situated in Swan Street, Richmond which is easily reachable by using public transport or private vehicle (plenty on the street car parks along this street).
From Melbourne Cricket Ground Stadium, it’s only 5-10 minutes walking distance.
No wonder, this place is always full pack of sport lovers on the weekend after the sport match.
We’re glad to be invited by Brian and the team to have food experience in this Bar.

The Beer and Burger Bar has become one of my favourite burger joints. If your ever down in the area you need to stop by just to grab a burger and beer!

Honestly there burgers here are juicy, soft and pack full of flavour. It’s beautifully presented and goes well with a cold beer or milkshake.

The service here is also amazing! Given this is a very busy venue and has a lot of foot traffic I found that the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially if you are an indecisive person like me.

I love the look at the space and that it doesn’t feel too crowded. If you do stop by it does get extremely busy on days when there are footy, rugby or similar events on.

It’s only a few minutes walk from Richmond station and there is plenty of 2 hour parking in the surround areas.

I’m obsessed with this place and can’t get enough of it!

Everything was so good here but what really stood out it’s the amazing service with the staff. I went this Saturday with my wife and friend, and even though it was busy, the staff will look after you and recommend you what to eat. Then on top of that, the burgers are to die for!!! We tried the captain, pulled pork and the double. Really recommend this place. :)

Eat And Be Merry Crew

I went for the roast pork burger - it was loaded with pulled pork, grilled pineapple, apple relish, Asian slaw, pork scratchings and aioli. The pork was nice and tender; as was the apple relish and Asian slaw. However, I would have preferred the relish and slaw to have been zingier in flavour to help cut through the meatiness of the burger. I really liked the nuggets of crispy scratchings - yum! Although the Lawyer briefly entertained the idea of going for The Don (thank god, he didn't!) he went for the mighty B.O.B - beef patty, fried chicken, double bacon, pineapple, jalapenos and cola BBQ sauce. He quite enjoyed his burger, especially the fried chicken.

One of the first stops I had to check in when I started working in Richmond? The Beer and Burger Bar. And when in doubt, go for the sliders to try out all the fares that they have on offer. Based on Swan Street, I would highly recommend getting parking near the shopping centre and make your way back. And with so many good restaurants nearby, make sure that this is one of the first places you check out.

Decided to come here to try their B.O.B. burger, it was bigger than expected! I liked the variety in the burger, some people might hate it but i love pineapples in my burger. The bacon was crisp, the patty was moist, everything went well together. Went really well in my belly, so filling omg, and their chips are pretty good too.
Overall, the burger was actually really nice, but it did lack sauce imo. Would defs come back again to try their other burgers too. Good stuff

Came here tonight with a friend before a concert. Walking in, the restaurant had an awesome vibe - it was absolutely packed, the footy was on and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We weren't greeted when we walked in but we sat down at an empty seat - a woman came over and asked if everything was okay and she explained how it all works. We ordered two beef burgers with a few alterations, a side of large chips and a side of large spicy chicken wings. We also ordered a lemon lime and bitters and a beer.

The chips were thick cut chips, crunchy and hot - they tasted great. The spicy chicken wings, however, were a bit of a letdown. The sauce that was on the wings tasted exquisite and was really hot however the chicken itself was cold and made the meal unenjoyable. The chicken, however, was cooked well. The burgers were sensational! Very filling and very tasty. One of the better burger joints I've been to. The meat was cooked well and it had a nice amount of the condiments inside.

Overall, I felt satisfied with my meal. I most likely will return to The Beer and Burger Bar to try a different burger and maybe a different side too. The prices are not too expensive however the customer service could have been at a higher level.

Very good. We ordered the Goat burger, oriental Beef burger with a side of chips, which were s very generous crispy portion. The burgers were the perfect size, big enough to satisfy & small enough to pick up & eat with your hands. Beautiful fresh brioche buns, the perfect amount of fillings. I ordered a chocolate milkshake for desert, which was thick & delicious. Good service, nice atmosphere. I would have give this restaurant a 5, but the beer wasn’t quite cold enough. Will definitely be back to try other burger options.

I had not had burger in such a long time and when I did, I had Chicken Burger from Beer and Burger Bar. Definitely one of my favourites, very juicy burger with perfect saltiness and crispiness in each bite. I normally don’t like onion rings but this one was indeed a good one and for once, I wish I could have more. Got chips as side too, enjoyed them so much until I saw a person across my table eating fruits... and then I felt guilty. But I carried on. Did not regret it. Ha!

Had a burger that had a black bun here on a very busy day and service was polite and quick. My meal was very tasty. I had an Oreo milkshake which I wouldn’t get again because the cookie chunks were not to my taste, but I’m sure there are plenty of different yummier milkshakes. A cool place to hang, inside or outside seats.

Hands down, it has the best burger you can have in Richmond area. Whether you go for beef or chicken, they are all very good. Their chips are also one of the freshest ones I've tried in Melbourne, so an extra thumbs up there. Combined those with the lunch deal, and you will end up with one of the best places to spend your lunch money.

We came to The Beer and Burger Bar to try out their burgers and it was more or less up to standard.We ordered 'The Beast' and it was juicy, flavourful and cooked to a medium rare. Nothing about the burger really makes it stand out from the crowd of other burgers in Melbourne however.

We had also ordered the spicy chicken wings and TBBB fries. The wings were nicely tangy and spicy but sometimes a bit dry through out. The fries were essentially Bolognese and cheese sauce with fries and personally these two sides weren't worth the price,

Overall there's not much bad to be said about the Beer and Burger bar, worth going to a night of dinner or a beer with mates.

This place is really consistent, and really damn good.
Considering it gets a massive football crowd on game nights, they do an awesome job, and the place runs like a well oiled machine. I sat at the bar the other night, and it's so impressive how organised and calm they were.
The burgers are awesome, the bun is not super brioche buttery, but it's still really well balanced.
The chips are perfection. Double fried style were you get those breadcrumb vibes, and a really generous serving.
They've also got a decent selection of beers on tap, including a few craft numbers.
Overall, this is strong solid reliable burger joint and you won't be disappointed.

I think I've probably found my burger heaven! Died from work and hunger then found myself in food heaven. The burgers were oozing with flavour and sauce (literally). The beef patty I ordered had the perfect amount of juiciness, not too juicy to the point where juice would come running down my hands and arms but just right where it melted in my mouth. The chips were average. The service was subpar, the workers seemed to see us but we felt ignored as they didn't welcome us until we walked right up to them and requested seats. The interior itself is contemporary and cozy, good for dining in.

One of the best burgers I have had in Melbourne, top 5. Yes, I went through the burger stage that all Melbourne residents went through. No, I am not a burger expert but I have tried a lot of burgers so maybe I am? I don't know. The biggest upside for this place is the chips and the rotating beer taps. Awesome idea. I've had all the burgers on the menu and have also tried the chicken wings (think they run a special on them one week night?) I don't care about service as long as the don't muck up my order, they put a head on my beer and I don't get abused. Thanks Richmond for this gem.

The beers and burgers here are great, but the service is inconsistent. Although every other burger we ordered came out fast, one was forgotten, and we received no apology from the server when we enquired about it. Instead we were given a shrug and a "these things happen". However there were other helpful, friendly staff.
I ordered the special, "Oh Deer", a venison patty, candied prosciutto, feta cheese, whole grain mustard aioli, rocket and caramelised onion burger. The patty was juicy and well-cooked, and the candied prosciutto was a very nice touch.
The regular fries are okay. I recommend the eggplant fries instead. They were so good, I'm still thinking about them now!

I have been eyeing this place ever since it opened.

I had the opportunity just before the footy to see if it was a worthy place to become a regular at.

It was quite full and loud, mostly because of the football being about 20 minutes walk from the venue, so the crowd had the same idea as I had to grab a bite to eat before the game. However, the crowd was well behaved and were generally well-dressed, the environment was friendly, comfy and inviting.

The staff are attentive and service standards were reasonable.

The table I sat on was communal, but you have enough space to call it your own. The table has knives, forks and napkins at your disposal.

I ordered the Beef Burger and a side of chips. I wasn't expecting much, I just wanted the burger to be tasty and to my surprise, it was delicious. The interesting mix of beetroot relish, gruyere cheese and American mustard was a perfect combo. The presentation was pleasing and my first bite was nothing short of sedating. The chips were great as well. In terms of price, the burger was $12 and chips were $3.50, and I have had much worse at those prices and for what you get, it seems like they have got the price right.

What I enjoyed most about the meal was that it satisfied. I was full, not the type of full where you feel lousy, but the 'feel good' type. If that makes sense, I'm sure yelpers would understand.

You can even watch the burgers being prepared and you can see the effort and amount of care in how the burgers are cooked. It's a nice touch.

I want to try everything on the menu, but the Beef Burger is so good, I'm not sure if I can deviate to other options. I will, but the choice is hard and that's a huge credit to this establishment.

Overall, I had to give The Beer & Burger Bar high praise as it ticked every box I would have expected. When I enter a place and come out feeling satisfied that I spent money on a great experience and amazing taste, you will come back every time.

Could not fault this spot at all. Food 10/10, service 10/10 (so quick) and ambience 10/10.
I tried the chicken burger with a side of chilli cheese fries. While writing this I wish I had them both all over again.
Starting with the burger, it is up there with the best burgers I have ever had. No exaggeration.
Fried chicken, guacamole, cheese, bacon, chipotle mayo, lettuce/tomato with a complimentary onion ring on top, what's not to love. It was packed full of flavour and each ingredient was cooked/prepared to perfection.
The chilli cheese fries were out of this world. Beer and Burger Bar's signature seasoned chips with a con carne of sorts topping (mince, tomato, kidney beans) with melted cheese to top it off. Chips were crisp yet soft, the con carne and cheese assortment on top was so flavoursome.
I'll definitely be back for another fix soon.

Hands down the best best burger joint going around. I have been here on more than several occasions and this place never disappoints.

Burgers are always spectacular. They have their usual burger menu but always have two other specials on the board. Patties are always cooked to perfection and the bun is soft and just what you're after. The onion rings are amazing too.

Beers are cheap and there is a large selection to choose from and if you go in on Tuesdays they have $2.50 pots until 9:00pm! Winning!

Staff are always friendly and service is quick, even on busy nights.

This place does pack out though especially before footy/soccer/rugby matches so plan accordingly.

Great lunch deal for the person that missed breakfast. Decent burger. Beef was a little dry but enjoyed how the burger wasn't overly greasy. Chips were golden! Loved the seasoning, crisp,dry edges which revealed a creamy inside. Mess that scame with the burger was welcome.

The decor and atmosphere was added to the experience with nice street art on the side of the walls which made the place very welcoming; great location to bring your friends along. Service was promt and staff was friendly.

Swan Street in Richmond is packed with nice places to eat and 1090 is also just up the road, but these guys are absolute deal makers and have specials every so often.

Wouldn't mind popping by again for a lunch feed.

Lunch specials are good on weekdays ($15 for any burger, chips and a drink).

Their chips are perfectly crispy hot every time I've had them.

Do you want absolutely bangin' burgers in the heart of Richmond on Swan St? Then The Beer and Burger Bar it is.

This is our go to for any dinner before heading down to the Corner Hotel for concerts and I'd recommend you add it to your must go to's if you want a great burger!Great selection of beers on tap and bottled. The slider board is great value for money and they always have a game burger on rotation which sometimes is absolutely the way to go.

Must try if you're in the area and you're wanting burgers, don't settle for grill'd down the road, you deserve more than that.

It's a great location, close to Richmond station and have found that the service is always
friendly and fast.

The burgers are great - great patties, good bun, top notch patties.
Lots of different options for your protein. I always stick to good old beef though.
Sides are big with tasty chips, great onion rings and lots of dipping sauces.
The BBB sauce is awesome!!!

Also, there are heaps of alcohol options. Really enjoys coming to this burger joint.

The idea of combining beers and burgers is simplistic, yet certainly a winner. Went there on Boxing Day and ordered the chicken burger which arrived very quickly and was delicious. The burger was washed down with a golden ale which hit the spot, certainly a good choice to have this on the beer list. Really enjoyed it here and my only regret is I haven't been sooner.

Popular bar, great burgers, tasty chips and milkshake!

We were here on a Tuesday lunch and got the last table available. We grabbed the chicken burger, the beef burger, medium chips, and a salted caramel milkshake for about $38.

Our milkshake came quickly and tasted great, the drink was fatty to the right extent, not too sweet. It was delicious and the ice cream tasted thick enough.

Luke got the chicken burger which was great. You can tasted the freshness of the veggies while other ingredients went very well with each other. The chicken was slightly crunchy, the bacon was not oily, the buns were not thick or dry. There was a bit of heat in the chicken as well. Overall a very solid chicken burger with a bit of identity.

Hannah had the beef burger which was also yum. Same thing, the combination of ingredients was very balanced with the patty being juicy and the accomplishment sauce was delicious. The taste was balanced as in it was not too garlicky, not too mayo-y, or soggy.

The serve of chips was delicious. It leaned a bit more on KFC-style chips, being seasoned with chicken salt. It was cut thick, and fried perfectly - being not soggy, very crispy and still moist inside.

Welcome to the Beer and Burger Bar and damn right it does what it says on the box. This is a long and thin restaurant with comfy couches at the front and tables and an open kitchen up the back. This spot is all class, or at least for a dive bar! This is one for the mates and your partener if you have a good one.

The Beer: There's so many beers in bottles, but if you want a tap beer (and trust me, you will) there is only about as many available as a regular pub (Mt. Erica Hotel, for example). However, just what's on tap might surprise you! I cannot remember the extent of them, but there was a great mix of domestic lager/ale with some more crafty type beers which I truly can't remember because I don't go for that sort of thing.

The Burger: Theres chicken theres beef theres lamb theres pork. Yes, this is probably the most diverse and all-round quality burger menus in all of Melbourne. Sure, the burgers aren't as posh as some may have become accustomed to, but they all have that great pubby bite. Pub grub with a smile. I usually get the cheeseburger, for its simple ingredients and low price. Sauce mustard and some damn mayo (aioli), beef and a slathering of cheese. Melty good times.

The Bar: Its great to order at the bar because of the causal feel. It also makes it easy to take your time and order. There are so many specials here most of which get you a beer, a burger and some fries or onion rings for a real good price. Burgers generally are on the expensive side so deals are really advised.

Come here if you're down to have some fun, I can promise you will!

Excellent burgers! We had the regular beef burger, which had a delicious patty, great condiments (especially the beetroot relish) and sauce! Not only did it taste good and balanced, the proportion and construction was great, although go fast because halfway through the burger the sauce will be dripping down your hands. Onion rings were also excellent. We had a great meal for a great price!

When you enter the place it feels as if you have stepped into a bar in America, good food, good drinks and American baseball playing in the back. The burgers pack a lot of flavour and I don't just mean for the meat burgers but also the vegetarian burger which has grilled mushrooms, haloumi and a nice spread of relish. PLEASE DO TRY THE ONION RINGS WITH THE ONION DIP!!!

I would recommend going during the weeknight as it can get packed on the Friday and weekend especially when the games are on at the MCG, the only reason I was not able to get a seat when I first went here.

Great spot on Swan St in Richmond, with a good range of beers and burgers, at fairly standard prices (~$15-18 for a burger and chips). The burger I had was delicious and juicy, quite simple but it worked a treat and the chips were crunchy outside and fluffy inside. The perfect spot for a feed and drink before you head to the footy/soccer/rugby or a gig as I did!

TBBB burgers are deeply satisfying. The staff are lovely and willing to accommodate some changes to the menu, like having a white roll instead of brioche. I haven't had everything on the menu, but everything I've tried so far has been great. The chips are well cooked and super tasty even without dips on the side.

Verdict: love the burgers here and return when I'm in the area!
Always a good place to stop before a gig at the Corner. The burgers are big, and they do vegie burgers really well. The chips are always good, but my partner and I decided last time that the onion rings are too oily for our liking.
I recommend adding jalapeños to the vegie burger for an extra kick of flavour.
Service is always good.

The burgers here are excellent. They also do have a number of beers on tap. The burger & beer bar is an excellent place to have something before game day at the MCG. Remember to order their special chilli fries. The regular cheese burger is really good and cheap too (9 dollars). The onion rings were alright and can be avoided.

A friend of mine always went on about how this place had the best crackling, pulled pork burger he's ever tried.

So with that recommendation a group of us went to try it out. He wasn't wrong, if you love pork and crackling then you have to come here to try it out the Pork burger.

A few friends tried the different other burgers and they looked good too. Great selection of drinks too. Definitely give it a go.

Nice quiet place to hang on a rainy late Tuesday afternoon. We had the chilli fries, eggplant chips, onion rings and a cheeseburger. Burger was flavourful and juicy. Chicken burger hands down the best I've had. All chicken breast not too thick and right amount of spice. Bacon was delicious on the burger too.

Best burgers I've had in a while - second only to the cheeseburger at Leonards House of Love.

Greasy but not sickly awful, the burger was jam packed inside a brioche (extra points) bun. The standard beer burger came with bacon, a delicious Beetroot relish, salad and so much sauce that every mouthful was packed with flavour. The patty was so thick and perfectly cooked.

Onion rings are crispy and crunchy - just perfect.

A great find in this unassuming looking place on Swan Street. Okay it's not a romantic dinner place but if what you want is a big, tasty burger that's super well priced then don't go anywhere else.

Great beers and great burgers. Nice range of craft beers on tap and great range of burgers. I had the notorious B.U.R.G and the maple bacon was a standout, patties had some pink in it which I like and overall very tasty. My brother had the slow cooked lamb burger and I was lucky enough to have a bite because damn that was some good lamb. Shakes were also delicious although I only had a sip because...... beer. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and she ordered the vegie burger which was not very good however I can imagine it probably isn't the most popular burger anyway and the staff was not great overall good place to have a burger and pint before the footy.

Wasn't super busy when we came in for dinner but it's a nice place inside, I like high bars so that's a plus. We ordered some burgers (cheeseburger and goat burger), onion rings and some crumbed jalapeños. There was a bit too much mustard in both of the burgers but otherwise they were good. Something we ordered, don't know what, came with a side of beetroot relish. It was freakin' good. Onion rings and jalapeños were also good, but c'mon guys if you're doing crumbed jalapeños you might as well do poppers! It could be beautiful.
Unfortunately they didn't have any of the Camden Town Pilsner we initially wanted but otherwise a fair range of beers/ciders. Also we assumed the two Brooklyn taps were out, as there were some paper cups placed over the badges but as it turned out they just weren't part of the happy hour specials? The service was good, staff were friendly. Would return if in the area.

I went here before going to AAMI Park for the rugby as it was close by. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The burgers didn't seem too amazing when I read them on the menu, but the taste (which is mostly all that matters) was!!

Although the burger wasn't all that filling, the chilli fries were. Big serving of fries loaded with chilli on top. It went perfectly with the meal and was delicious.

Staff were also very friendly.

Would recommend for a great beer, burger and fries.

Out of every burger place I have been to in Melbourne so far, this definitely tops the board. Was definitely worth the trip across the other side of the city for a visit. We ordered the beef burger add egg; eggplant chips and onion rings. Everything was cooked to perfection, eggplant with its crispy outer and soft, melting inner. The burger itself: meat was juicy and cooked medium rare, bacon was fantastic and the best part was its brioche and sauces inside. Will definitely return.

This is our go-to place when we want a quick, delicious and filling eat before a gig at the Corner Hotel.

We're always greeted with a smile and I can't get enough of the jalapeño poppers.

My friend has recently discovered that he loves the sliders, so he's already looking forward to his next visit.

The burgers are perfectly cooked and the chilli fries and chicken wings are spot on.

My main problem with this place is that my husband always orders far too much and I hate to see such good food go to waste!

The best chicken burger in town, pair it with Chilli fries and you have a meal for 2 for ~$25! I add pineapple to the chicken burger, which adds a lovely juicy sweetness and bit of acidic to the burger, which includes avocado, bacon, cheese, tomato and chi polite sauce all on a delicious brioche bun. So amazingly yummy and consistently good every time I've been or got takeaway. I've been going through a burger phase over the last year and these guys are my winners for the best burger in town!

My girlfriend and I walked into The Beer and Burger Bar for a quick late afternoon drink, that went out the window soon after we saw the menu. We loaded up with a roast pork burger, chicken burger, onion rings and a large chips. The pork burger was awesome however a few more bits of pork scratching would have made this even better. A meal can be judged on its sides and in that case, this meal was a winner. Chips & onion rings were perfectly crispy and well seasoned.

No matter how much I try and exercise self-control, Beer and Burger Bar is a regular fixture of my weekends. Whilst this might not be great for my waistline or for my pocket, my tastebuds really appreciate it. I feel like almost everyone is a sucker for a good burger and in my opinion; Beer and Burger Lounge have some of the best burgers in Melbourne.

We were meant to be going to a different place in Richmond that was unexpectedly closed so we chose here as a replacement. Really glad it happened.

Staff are friendly and the layout of the place is comfortable. Definitely allows for chilled conversation.

Went with the beef burger, chicken burger, fries, onion rings and a couple of shakes.

Beef burger was cooked a little too much, a bit pinker and it would've been perfect. There was also a bit too much mustard and a little bit too much beetroot relish which took it over a bit, but it was still tasty.

Chicken burger (I only had one bite) but it was definitely crunchy and the aioli was perfect.

Normally I love onion rings more than fries but the chips here with the gravy (seriously, get the gravy) were not to be outdone. Loved them both but the chips were better.

The shakes!!!! Got a Malteasers and an Oreo flavour and they were both seriously delicious. Would love to have these all the time!

Overall a great little shop that have friendly staff and a chilled atmosphere. Will be back!

Really enjoy going to this place, second time eating there and the burger was even better. Grabbed the chicken one and it had a very nice combination of flavours, to contemplate this burger were chips and spicy wings. The wings were served the way I like it and had a bit of burn, the chips were perfectly golden and crunchy. Love how cheap it all was and the serving baskets add a little bit of character to the meal. Great place before the footy!

The Beer and Burger was a suggestion by a girl friend, and I'm pleased to report that our friendship shall keep because the burger I had was excellent.

I had the beef burger - it was well presented, extremely tasty and the beetroot relish was addictive as hell. I don't know what to have next, but I will most certainly return.

Evenings can be a little busy which can affect staff service, but be patient, it's well worth it.

Who says that Gen Y are all a bunch of lazy, self-entitled narcissists? One guy that is certainly proving that wrong is 25 year-old, Ryan Kurban, the owner of The Beer and Burger Bar in Richmond. When Ryan finished high school he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do and after completing a one year marketing certificate (which he punched out in six months!) he knew that further study was not for him. Owner, Ryan Kurban, helping out in the kitchen. Luckily, his parents were supportive of him and just wanted him to do something that made him happy, which after much denial and a few years in customer service, then 21 year-old Kurban realised was hospitality.

Comments: Perfectly situated close to the MCG and 200m from Richmond station, the Beer and Burger Bar should be your go to burger before hitting the G during the footy season. Something that really stood out for me with this burger was the smoked bacon, it’s not something many of the other burger places are doing and it gives a great touch and unique flavour. This was also a really clean burger, even though it had 2 patties, no serviettes were needed as no mess was made. I am not sure if it was clean because the meat was more on the cooked side instead of the medium side, or the beef was just less fatty than others, but again, when going to the footy, soccer, rugby, tennis or a concert – clean can be more effective. With the chips being $2.50, they are a must add-on. The Beer and Burger Bar in Richmond is a place worth trying, I know I will be back. For some constructive criticism, I would like to see more sauce and the beef cooked a tad less to give it a bit of redness and a softer bite, being over cooked made it a bit too dry for my liking.

Excellent experience. Nice, chilled-out vibe and some pretty fantastic food.

Tried the Beast burger - double beef, double bacon, double cheese. No complaints and a very good effort but the real star of the show was their sides: faux-poutine (chips, cheese and gravy) and deep fried jalapenos. Both were absolutely outstanding.

My partner who can't eat bread/brioche had their burger wrapped in a lettuce leaf instead, and said it was pretty solid.

Excellent range of beers and ciders.
Will be returning again.

Freaking Awesome. Had the beef burger here with an extra pattie because I like a big burger and they give you an onion ring on top aswell like a little angel's halo!

The beetroot relish comes through with each bite and is sweet but not too much. The mustard gives it that little bite and tangyness from the tomato sauce perfect balances it out to allow that texture from the 300gs of meat to slide down your throat.

The patties are chargrilled meaning they don't drip ridiculous amounts of grease but enough there to make it juicy.

The bun is brioche and dense enough to stay together whilst devouring through this beaut of a burger.

To wash it down, the 6 extra cold beer taps (check out the ice on them) are not over priced and are even a bargain on Tuesdays when a pot is 2.50.

Service was excellent....fast and any questions were easily answered suggesting they knew their burgers rather than havin to ask whoevers in charge.

All in all at least a 9/10....maybe 9.5!

El Mucho is amazing!. The burger was so good, and the crumbled jalapeños were incredible! Such a great atmosphere (we went at about 9pm on a Saturday night- wasn't too busy, but still had a great energy). Unfortunately the staff ignored us a few times, regardless I highly recommend The Beer and Burger Bar.

The benchmark. If you a connoisseur of the burger, a patty chaser, a bun bandit, then Beer and Burger Bar is the benchmark. It is consistently fantastic with an extensive specials menu that evolves faster than a pokemon with a wheelbarrow full of rare candy’s. For somebody who does not eat red meat they have heaps of fish, chicken, vegie, mushrooms alternatives as well as the best spicy chicken wings I have had. This time I got the El Mucho, a spicy Mexican chicken burger. The Jalapeno’s were sweet and it had a kick like that of a small, tired donkey or a dalmation with clogs on... Not enough to rupture organs but definitely enough to give you a face like you’ve fallen over in front of a group of lovely looking ladies. Try anything on the menu that has spicy in the title! or burger in the title. Or just has a title.

Tomato relish?!. So this little place was recommended as a last minute spot for dinner one night.... and i am SO glad. I had the pulled pork burger, which was lovely and the crackling was yummy but a bit of a surprise when biting in. My boyfriend had a cheeseburger with bacon, and he loved it too. But the show stopper was that tomato relish and mustard seed aioli that comes with chips and onion rings. Amazing, the tomato relish is sweet and refreshing and the aioli has a nice tang to it. Also should note freshly made onion rings were to die for!!
So so good and can't wait to come back for a burger and a beer!

Delicious. Went here with friends that live near by.
Everything was delicious and I love seeing locally sourced ingredients and some good daily specials.
It's on the pricey side, but it's in the pricey part of Melbourne.
The crumbed jalapenos were just the right amount of spicy (but I really like spicy food) and the eggplant chips were amazing (aren't they always??)

Best burgers in the area. I've been here a few times, and it's always ben great. The burgers (the ones I've had, over 3 visits) have always been a decent size and when paired with chips or some jalapeno poppers, I've never gone hungry. Not sure what enormous meals some people are used to.

I'm always happy to visit these guys who have always been friendly and helpful.

Burger with strength. If you're a burger afficianado, you'll be happy here. The Dear Luncher has only had their staple beef burger so far, but it ranks highly. Excellent texture, meat cooked to perfection. Brioche bun holding it all together nicely, no sloppiness.The Dear Luncher does not understand some of the criticism in some reviews. The $15 Tuesday lunch deal represents super value with some fries and a pot of any beer (including a couple craft beer choices).

Ugly ducking. These burgers are delicious but oh so messy! All the components are very tasty but the haphazard and sloppy construction really lets them down. It's certainly no huxtaburger.. THe burgers are better .... To steal the catch phrase from a large fast food burger joint, "the burgers are better at the The Beer and Burger Bar". Word of mouth is a wonderful thing. I went along with a friend who was told she must go here. We both love a good burger and had read the reviews before we ventured along.

We visited last night before the local A-League derby. The place was almost standing room only but we got lucky and scored a table. I ordered the Beef Burger with an egg and my friend had the Roast Pork Burger. We also had a side of fries.

It must be said that I am not a slave or victim of the Huxtaburger craze. If ever there is an overrated burger that is it. We found the burgers we had last night were very good. My friend absolutely raved about her Roast Pork Burger. The burgers looked like they were constructed with pride. The buns were sweet, the meats well cooked and just enough sauce or relish not to create sogginess. I agree with others in saying the onion ring on top is a nice touch. The fries were rock solid not like the insipid, crinkle cut supermarket version served at Huxtaburger.

We'll certainly be back and it looks like a great place to head to before the footy next season. We were both surprised we hadn't been here before given we have eaten at a few places along Swan St before a football game.

I would say the Beer and Burger Bar offers the best burgers in Melbourne but that wouldn't do them any justice. Taking a bite from any of their exquisite burgers is like dining with the gods. The food is only surpassed by the atmosphere and friendly (and very attractive) staff. Would I recommend BBB...do I even need to answer?

Just enjoyed the best burger EVER - the pork burger is to DIE for ..... OMG succulent tender pork complimented with apple sauce, caramelised onion and Asian slaw on a beautiful bun!!
The chips are the best - long crunchy fingers of potato and the complimentary onion rings are golden halos of mouth watering pleasure. Don't deny yourself the pleasure of a gustational delight.

I went there on a Tuesday night for the $2.50 beers. First surprise was that the it was Carlton Draught or VB for $2.50, it was Micro-Brewery beers including Growler which I have paid up to $6 a pot for.

Burgers, onion rings, chips, all 10 out of 10. I even put a few chips in my burger and the manager came up and said that if we like it like that they will do it for us when putting the burger together.

10 out of 10 Service. Love it. I would go back any time now, not just for cheap beer.

I went for the veggie burger and wow was I impressed. not too much onion either which always makes a bad after taste. loved every bite of this burger. chips were great. service was a bit iffy - we had a plate full of chips and they asked if we were finished - clearly we're not.

BEST. If you love american style burgers, the cheese burger is amazing - probably the closest thing I've found in Melbourne to what you'd get in the USA. The chips and onion rings were also fantastic. It's great that they offer gluten free options, but it'd be nice if the chips they served were also GF. All the right ingredients. If you love Huxtaburger but not the drive, park and wait then you'll like this place. The cheeseburger was delicious - great patty, brioche bun, really melted cheese and tasty sauces. Added bonus is that chips are really good. They are clearly still working through their systems, watching the chef in the open kitchen double handle makes me question how they would cope during busy times - but fortunately it wasn't busy when we were there so not an issue. Will be back for the pork burger.

This place however does big juicey delicious simple burgers, with a great menu of totally different burgers. If you love Huxtaburger then this place will knock your socks off. delicious chips too, and quick. also fantastic beers on tap all in a large great atmosphere. Pork burger - soooo yum.. Beers and burgers... two of my favourite things! Loved the atmosphere, the beer choice was spot on and the pork burger was awesome. Staff were also lovely. Will be back soon!

Great new burger joint :). Came in for lunch today, really busy so bit of a wait, but worth it. I had the Goat burger as I'd never eaten goat before, and I was pleasantly surprise by the flavours, I'd recommend. My friend had the pork burger, which was perfect for her. Great selection of beers on tap and bottles. Will definitely check out this place again in the evening.
(Last post said the pattys were store bought - I spoke to one of the chefs while waiting about the place and he said everything was made fresh every morning. The plastic is just to separate the meat)

It may not have been the best burger I’ve had in Melbourne, but it definitely rates. All the burgers are priced between $10-$13, larger and more filling than Huxtaburger and worlds above similarly-priced burger chain Grill’d. What’s more, it’s yet to have reached super-hyped status so you won’t need to wait for hours to get in. $5.50 for a pot of Gypsy and I’m set! The only real downside to the place is that it’s freeeeezing. Bring a jacket, your friends and your appetite.

And really the name says it all. Take two separately awesome things, being beer and burgers, and then combine them together into a half takeaway and half bar venue, and boom the Beer and Burger Lounge was born.

The burgers are really good, you can also enjoy other dishes creatively made in a burger like the falafel burger. We ordered classic ones but they were delicious, they even come with an onion ring on top. The chips are apart. There are lots of beers to choose too. The music and the atmosphere are very lively.

They have a good variety of burgers and even out of the box things related to burgers. I had this cheeseburger spring roll, it was really good!!! The BBQ on the table was delicious. I would go there again!

Spotted this place amongst an abundance of choices when needing a quick feed and drink prior to the football. Efficient service. Basic burger hit the spot. Thick juicy patty with plenty of cheese and pickles. Inexpensive, but lacking the usual automatically supplied side of chips. (Not sure if an error) Beer choices were all craft or international. Was popular. Full inside. Sat in a semi-shaded spot outside on Swan St. Recommended for pre-game or anytime.

Good food and professional service. They are always putting the customer first and i stayed there till late. Outside sitting is probably better for someone who is exploring Melbourne. But if privacy is your thing, you know where to sit.

After 2 years of lockdowns was good to get back to local business in Richmond before the footy. Place was full but managed to get a seat. Burgers and fries are always juicy and delicious. Beers and cidars are chilled and wash down the burgers. Always a great meal before the footy
